Although it’s been two years since the season one finale of “Gen V” back in Sept. 2023, “The Boys” spinoff superhero series is back for season two.

Starting on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT, “Gen V” returns on Prime Video for subscribers only. Season two has eight episodes, in total.

Young Thug has shared a multi-post lyrical apology to his loved ones and fellow rappers who may have been hurt by the flurry of leaked phone calls from jail.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the rapper expressed regret to those he offended, beginning with Mariah The Scientist.

“Baby, I’m sorry. One of my biggest fears is losing you to the internet,” he wrote. “F**k a jail call. I was playing. I’ll never leave you.”

He later extended an olive branch to Drake, whom he was also heard criticizing in one of the recordings over his handling of Metro Boomin following the death of Metro’s mother.

“Drizzy, you my brother. You know I ain’t going against you,” Thug wrote.

He then addressed Lil Baby directly in another post, pleading for communication.

“Wham pick up the phone, talk to me it’s Spider. Taught you everything you know about this s**t. We lifers.”

Future was also mentioned. Thug previously called him out for not organizing a “FreeYoungThug” concert while he was behind bars.

“We foundation of men, we learned that s**t from Pluto,” he wrote. “It’s all love and respect on my end.”

On the 20-year-old’s electrifying album #wings, nearly every track sounds like he started without any clue how it would end. “She” dreams up a cosmic pluggnb canvas for TJAYY before ditching the idea and unleashing a chiptune breakdown worthy of a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon boss fight. “I make my music really fucking loud because it’s the only time where I can feel immersed in something,” he says of his sound, which he calls “cryy.” “It allows me to think and feel like a person for a little bit. When I’m outside, there’s nothing going through my brain, just fried.”

witty says he grew up listening to Pokémon soundtracks and that it was pluggnb, not classical training or a jazz music education, that taught him how to write chord progressions. He’s also obsessed with video games, particularly the cartoonish fighting game Brawlhalla, which he’s played professionally since age 14. Under the handle STING RAY, he’s won thousands of dollars at tournaments and been one of the top 15 players for the last five years—even reaching number two in the world. “I feel like the gaming got me good at music,” he says. “I looked at it through the perspective of improving in a game.” One way to interpret his work is through the lens of video game music, which he went to Berklee College of Music to study before he was kicked out. bunii, another leader of the scene, grew up listening to ayowitty and now works with him actively. The 17-year-old convinced his hero to collaborate after he saw his music on a repost channel. His solo music is much more guitar-forward, all math rock freakouts and intricate chord progressions. He lists Paramore, MCR, American Football, and Japanese rockers like susquatch and The Cabs as fixations. But even the most analog songs shimmer with producer tags: BASTARDS! Before getting into the guitar, bunii started making beats after hearing the pluggnb of Autumn! and Genius’ beat deconstruction videos.

This so-called indie music is delightfully immature and cracked at the seams, recorded in that climactic sliver of adolescence when you’re not a clueless kid but also not so old that you’re jaded. Many of the artists are self-taught. “Whenever I’m in my room, there’s always a guitar in my hand,” says bunii. ESPN officially debuted its new direct‑to‑consumer streaming platform Thursday morning. While the network has for decades been tethered to traditional television bundles, sports fans will, for the first time, be able access everything — ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACC Network, ESPNEWS, ESPN Deportes, ESPN on ABC, ESPN+, ESPN3, SECN+ and ACCNX — under one direct subscription (and a personalized app, also launched today).

The ambitious offering under the Unlimited tier is priced competitively at $29.99 per month, bringing an impressive 47,000 live events annually, plus extensive on‑demand features, studio staples like “SportsCenter,” “First Take,” “Pardon the Interruption,” “College GameDay” and premium originals like “30 for 30” to viewers’ fingertips.

This launch doesn’t feel accidental — it’s strategically scheduled to coincide with the high‑stakes kickoff of the college football and NFL seasons, the US Open, international and women’s college soccer, volleyball, field hockey and the oncoming WNBA and PLL playoffs. The NBA and NHL are also ramping up, while marquee UFC and WWE events loom large.

The new direct‑to‑consumer service will bear the singular brand “ESPN,” solidifying its identity in the streaming era. Alongside the Unlimited tier is the more basic Select plan priced at $11.99 per month, while subscribers eyeing a fuller suite can bundle Disney+ and Hulu with the ESPN Unlimited plan at launch for the same $29.99 rate for the first 12 months.

“As we thought about the name, we kept returning to the fact that, across every generation, ESPN is the most trusted, loved and recognized name in sports, and that we should keep it simple and double down on the power of ESPN,” Jimmy Pitaro, ESPN Chairman, said in a statement upon the announcement of the new offering earlier this month. “Our straightforward approach to name and pricing will help fans cut through the clutter, and provide them compelling options to access all our content within the enhanced ESPN App.”

To further incentivize early adopters, the enhanced ESPN App — now loaded with multiview options, integrated game statistics, curated betting info, fantasy tie‑ins, commerce features, and a personalized “SportsCenter For You” feed — will be available both to direct‑to‑consumer subscribers and traditional pay‑TV users alike. In short, ESPN is shifting from a distributor‑centric to a consumer‑centric model, offering familiar faces and flagship shows via a smarter, more engaged interface.

Perhaps most telling is the operational gambit echoing ESPN’s ambition: on August 23, just two days post-launch, fans will be able to stream five out‑of‑market NFL preseason games through the ESPN App, offering significant value for early subscribers. Games such as Ravens at Washington, Bills at Tampa Bay, and Chargers at San Francisco will go live — subject to blackout restrictions — yet available to those with the Unlimited subscription.
