It’s an adaptation of the book of the same name by Andrea Mara, about missing boy. Every parent’s worst nightmare begins to unfold. As news of the disappearance filters through the quiet suburb and an unexpected suspect is named, whispers start to spread about the women most closely connected to the shocking event. Because only one of them may have taken Milo – but they could all be blamed. All Her Fault stars Sarah Snook, with Jake Lacy, Dakota Fanning, Michael Peña, Sophia Lillis, Abby Elliott, Daniel Monks, Jay Ellis, Thomas Cocquerel, Duke McCloud, Kartiah Vergara. “All you have to fight your detractors is the art of Kabuki.” GKids has unveiled the official US trailer for an acclaimed Japanese film titled Kokuho, made by filmmaker Sang-il Lee. The title Kokuho means “national treasure” and is inspired by a true story. This first premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in Directors’ Fortnight, and it next plays at AFI Fest in LA this fall before opening in limited US theaters in November. Previously announced as Japan’s entry for Best International Feature at the Academy Awards, the smash-hit live action feature is directed by Sang-il Lee (of “Pachinko” Season 2, Hula Girls, Rage), and stars Ryo Yoshizawa, Ryusei Yokohama, and Ken Watanabe. The film marks a breakthrough performance for lead actor Ryo Yoshizawa, who trained 18 months in the art and history of Kabuki theater, to embody the role of Kikuo, an actor pursuing greatness at all costs, in a story of glory and heartbreak that spans decades. In post-war Japan’s economic boom, gangster family-born Kikuo finds himself adopted by a kabuki actor. Despite life’s challenges, he develops into a gifted performer. Featuring awe-inspiring scope and beauty, it’s a monument to the artists who would sacrifice everything in the pursuit of the ultimate performance. Enjoy.

“All I can do is make my music, because music has always been my destiny.” Sony Pictures has debuted the official trailer for a music movie called Clika, made by filmmaker Michael Greene. A small town musician from Yuba Country, California pushes to carve out a place for himself in the new wave of Mexican-American music after a clip of him performing one of his songs goes viral. This film was originally supposed to open in October this year, but it has been pushed back for release sometime in early 2026 instead. Chito tries carve out a place for himself in the new wave of Mexican-American music. As his star begins to rise, Chito finds himself entangled in a high-stakes world where fame comes with a price. In a story of ambition, tradition, and self-discovery, Chito is ultimately forced to confront the choices he’s made in his relentless pursuit of the American dream. From producer Jimmy Humilde, Clika stars Jay Dee as Chito, DoKNOW, Laura Lopez, Nana Ponceleon, with Peter Greene, Percy “Master P” Miller, and Eric Roberts. This looks a bit cheesy in obvious Hollywood ways, rough around the edges, but seems like a worthwhile story anyway.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Michael Greene’s movie Clika, direct from Sony’s YouTube:

“I am a prisoner because you won and we lost, not because you’re morally superior.” “I know more about this man than anyone else on this planet. You’re walking into a trap.” Sony Pictures Classics has finally revealed the full official trailer for Nuremberg, written and directed by screenwriter James Vanderbilt, the second feature he has directed. Based on the book titled “The Nazi and the Psychiatrist” by Jack El-Hai, it’s set at the famous Nuremberg Trials from 1945-1946 in Germany after WWII ended. This recently premiered at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival and opens in theaters this November – we’ve already posted two other teasers before. A psychiatrist evaluates Nazi leaders before the trials begin, growing increasingly obsessed with understanding evil as he forms a disturbing bond with Hermann Göring. It’s a full recreation of the iconic Nuremberg trials, where they exposed the real evil within the Nazi mindset and what they did. With Russell Crowe as Hermann Göring, Rami Malek as Douglas Kelley, Michael Shannon as Robert H. Jackson, Leo Woodall, Richard E. Grant, John Slattery, Mark O’Brien, Colin Hanks, Lydia Peckham, and Wrenn Schmidt. Quite chilling. Acting as a reminder that anyone can perpetuate horrible evil against any others they hate, and they’ll get away with it until someone stops them. This looks riveting.

Here’s the main official trailer (+ poster) for James Vanderbilt’s film Nuremberg, direct from YouTube:

You can rewatch the first teaser for Vanderbilt’s Nuremberg movie right here and the second teaser here.

The Allies, led by the unyielding chief prosecutor, Robert H. Jackson (Michael Shannon), have the task of ensuring the Nazi regime answers for the unveiled horrors of the Holocaust while a US Army psychiatrist (Rami Malek) is locked in a dramatic psychological duel with the former Reichsmarschall Herman Göring (Russell Crowe). Nuremberg is written & directed by the American writer / producer James Vanderbilt, making his second feature film after directing Truth previously. He also produced many films and wrote the screenplays for The Rundown, Zodiac, The Losers, The Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2, White House Down, Truth, Murder Mystery 1 & 2, Fountain of Youth. Based on the book titled “The Nazi and the Psychiatrist” written by Jack El-Hai. It’s produced by Bradley J. Fischer, Cherilyn Hawrysh, István Major, Paul Neinstein, Richard Saperstein, William Sherak, Frank Smith, Benjamin Tappan, James Vanderbilt. This will premiere at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival this fall. Sony Pictures Classics will debut Vanderbilt’s Nuremberg film in select US theaters starting on November 7th, 2025 coming soon this fall. Who’s planning to watch this?

Official US Trailer for ‘Radu Jude’s Dracula’ Film Out Later This Month

“Suck it, Dracula!” 1-2 Special has revealed the full official US trailer for a film called Dracula, yet another new Dracula movie this year – along with Luc Besson’s Dracula. This one is actually called Radu Jude’s Dracula, the official title because it’s directed by Romanian filmmaker Radu Jude. Looks totally bonkers! He’s the original intro from the Locarno Film Festival: “A Dracula film made in Transylvania. What does it contain? A vampire hunt. Zombies & Dracula crashing a strike. A sci-fi story about Vlad the Impaler coming back. An adaptation of the first Romanian vampire novella. A love story. A montage film reusing a classic vampire film. A vulgar folktale. AI-generated kitsch stories. And many delights in a film dealing with this cinema myth.” The film is a riff on Artificial intelligence including scenes created with AI because it’s acting as commentary on how stupid AI is, not indulging in it. This stars Adonis Tanța, Oana Maria Zaharia, Gabriel Spahiu, Ilinca Manolache, Alexandru Dabija, Andrada Balea, Doru Talos, Lukas Miko, Serban Pavlu, and Alexandra Harapu. This looks like a crazy fun new creation from Radu Jude’s mind.

Here’s the official US trailer (+ poster) for Radu Jude’s Dracula, direct from 1-2’s YouTube:

Radu Jude's Trailer

Radu Jude's Poster

A frustrated filmmaker, facing creative paralysis, turns to an AI chatbot in order to make his latest movie a hit. The result is a series of increasingly outrageous vignettes exploring the myth of Dracula in all its forms. From a wild chase through the streets of modern Transylvania to eerie hauntings in the Romanian countryside, cinematic provocateur Radu Jude returns with another boundary-pushing epic featuring a union-busting Dracula breaking a strke, an adaptation of the first Romania vampire novella, thwarted romance, fields of phalluses, lots of blood, and much more. Radu Jude’s Dracula is written and directed by acclaimed Romanian indie filmmaker Radu Jude, director of many indie films including The Happiest Girl in the World, A Film for Friends, Everybody in Our Family, Aferim!, Scarred Hearts, I Do Not Care If We Go Down in History as Barbarians, Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn, and Do Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World previously, plus tons of other shorts & unique docs. Produced by Rodrigo Teixeira & Alexandru Teodorescu. This first premiered at the 2025 Locarno Film Festival a few months ago. 1-2 Special will release Radu Jude’s Dracula in select US theaters starting October 29th, 2025 this fall. Who’s down?

“If you’re having a hard time…” “I feel fine.” Mubi has unveiled the main official trailer for the film Die My Love, the highly anticipated new film from acclaimed Scottish filmmaker Lynne Ramsay. Set to open in theaters in early November next month. Die My Love first premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival a few months ago to mostly mixed & negative reviews. Too loud, too crazy, doesn’t amount too much. But worth a look if you want something extra wild… In a remote forgotten rural area, a mother struggles to maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis. Die My Love is Ramsay’s blistering depiction of a woman engulfed by love and madness, featuring stunning performances from Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson as a married couple dealing with life and a new baby. The cast also includes LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte, and Sissy Spacek. Based on the book by Ariana Harwicz. With cinematography by Seamus McGarvey. This trailer is very different than the teaser – playing it like it’s a scary thriller more than the crazy drama it really is. Very strange choice that doesn’t really sell it correctly. Does anyone want to see this film anymore?

Here’s the official trailer (+ posters) for Lynne Ramsay’s film Die My Love, direct from Mubi’s YouTube:

You can rewatch the initial teaser trailer for Ramsay’s Die My Love film right here for the first look again.

A hopeful young and loving couple (Grace & Jackson – Lawrence & Pattinson) move from New York to an inherited house in the country. Grace tries to find her identity with a new baby in the isolated countryside. Yet as she begins to unravel, it’s not in weakness but imagination, strength and a stunning untamed vivacity that she discovers herself anew. Die My Love is directed by acclaimed Scottish filmmaker Lynne Ramsay, director of the films Ratcatcher, Morvern Callar, We Need to Talk About Kevin, and You Were Never Really Here previously, plus many other shorts. The screenplay is written by Enda Walsh & Lynne Ramsay and Alice Birch. Adapted from the the book by Ariana Harwicz. Produced by Andrea Calderwood, Justine Ciarrocchi, Jennifer Lawrence, Thad Luckinbill, Trent Luckinbill, Martin Scorsese, and Molly Smith. This initially premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Mubi will debut Ramsay’s Die My Love film in select US thaters starting on November 7th, 2025 this fall. Look any good? Who’s curious?

“What I see is a man way beyond any redemption.” This looks like one helluva sweaty thriller! Netflix has revealed the full official trailer for the vivid gambling movie titled Ballad of a Small Player, the latest creation from the acclaimed German filmmaker Edward Berger following All Quiet on the Western Front & Conclave most recently. This premiered at the 2025 Telluride & Toronto Film Festivals last month. And it hits theaters briefly later in October before it’s streaming on Netflix this month. When his past and his debts start to catch up with him, a high-stakes gambler / corrupt English lawyer laying low in Macau in the East encounters a kindred spirit who might just hold the key to salvation. The book it’s based on is also described as a “vivid and feverish portrait of a soul in self-inflicted purgatorio.” Exactly what this looks like. The film stars Colin Farrell as Lord Doyle, with Fala Chen, Deanie Ip, Alex Jennings, and Tilda Swinton as a private investigator chasing him. With cinematography by James Friend (All Quiet on the Western Front, “The Acolyte”), and music composed by Volker Bertelmann. Even though this has pretty bad reviews from the festivals, I’m still curious about it anyway. The visuals and intensity of Farrell’s performance look good.

Here’s main official trailer (+ poster) for Edward Berger’s film Ballad of a Small Player, from YouTube:

Ballad of a Small Player Teaser Trailer

Ballad of a Small Player Teaser Poster

You can watch the teaser trailer for Berger’s Ballad of a Small Player film right here for the first look again.

Lord Doyle (Colin Farrell) is laying low in Macau – spending days & nights on the casino floors, drinking heavily and gambling what little money he has left. Struggling to keep up with his fast-rising debts, he is offered a lifeline by the mysterious Dao Ming (Fala Chen), a casino employee with secrets of her own. In hot pursuit is Cynthia Blithe (Tilda Swinton) – a private investigator ready to confront Doyle with what he is running from. As Doyle tries to climb to salvation, the confines of reality start to close in. Ballad of a Small Player is directed by the Academy Award-nominated German filmmaker Edward Berger, director of the films Strait-Jacket, Sidewalk Hotel, Smelly Dinners, Wanderbread, Gomez: Heads or Tails, Jack, All My Loving, 2022’s All Quiet on the Western Front, and Conclave previously, and TV series “Deutschland 83” & “Patrick Melrose”. The screenplay is written by Rowan Joffe (of Last Resort, 28 Weeks Later, The American, Brighton Rock, Before I Go To Sleep, Locked In). Based on the novel of the same name from Lawrence Osborne. Produced by Mike Goodridge, Edward Berger, Matthew James Wilkinson. It premieres at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival this fall. Netflix will then debut Berger’s Ballad of a Small Player film in select US theaters briefly on October 15th, 2025, and streaming on Netflix starting October 29th, 2025.

“Follow your heart, feel the love, and find your home with The Family McMullen.” Warner Bros revealed the official trailer for The Family McMullen, a new movie made by Edward Burns. It’s the long-awaited follow-up to the first film that Edward Burns ever directed called The Brothers McMullen (in 1995), about three Irish Catholic brothers from Long Island. As with the original,  The Family McMullen is an ensemble comedy both written and directed by Edward Burns – which tracks the romantic entanglements of a now 50-something Barry McMullen (Burns) and his 20-something kids, as well as his brother Patrick and widowed sister-in-law Molly, who are also facing unexpected romantic hurdles. It’s getting a one-day-only release in theaters this month, before it’s available to watch at home anytime. 🎄 The Family McMullen stars Connie Britton, Edward Burns, & Michael McGlone reprising their roles in the first film, along with Tracee Ellis Ross, Halston Sage, Juliana Canfield, Pico Alexander, and Brain d’Arcy James. This looks much more cheesier (about the kids this time!) and more like a Hallmark Channel movie than the original.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Edward Burns’ film The Family McMullen, direct from YouTube:

“Someday we’ll all be living in computers…” That’s for sure. Oscilloscope Labs has unveiled the full trailer for OBEX, a peculiar indie horror fantasy sci-fi creation from the mind of filmmaker Albert Birney (also of Strawberry Mansion). This first premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival in the experimental Next section, then played at the RiverRun, Atlanta, Chicago Critics, Sydney, Munich, Fantasia, & Vancouver Film Festivals during the year. Set in the 1980s, Conor Marsh’s secluded life disrupted when he gets a start of the art new game called OBEX which claims to digitize the player and put them into the game. But when he starts playing, his dog Sandy disappears, blurring reality and game. Conor enters the OBEX world to rescue Sandy, navigating its strange realms. A black-and-white surreal fantasy film. Starring Albert Birney as Conor, Callie Hernandez, Paisley Isaacs, Frank Mosley, Tyler Davis, and more. This nerdy little film has such a funky retro vibe, with all the clunky hardware and 8-bit chunkiness from the 80s. It’s a unique & entertaining indie project that I hope cinephiles of all kinds watch out for when it’s in theaters. View below.

Here’s the main official trailer (+ poster) for Albert Birney’s film OBEX, direct from YouTube:

OBEX Poster

OBEX Poster

In pre-internet 1987, Conor (starring Albert Birney) and his dog named Sandy live a life of seclusion, lost in the slow-rendering graphics of early Macs and televisions aglow with late night horror marathons. But when he begins playing OBEX, a new and mysterious, state-of-the-art computer game, he finds himself trapped in a low-tech, but high-stakes analog hellscape as the line between reality and game blurs. OBEX is directed by the indie actor / writer / filmmaker Albert Birney, director of the films The Beast Pageant, Sylvio, Tux and Fanny, Strawberry Mansion, and Eyeballs in the Darkness previously. The screenplay is written by Albert Birney and Pete Ohs. Produced by James Belfer, Albert Birney, Emma Hannaway, Pete Ohs. This initially premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year in the Next section, with a stop at the Chicago Critics Film Festival in the summer. Oscilliscope Labs will debut Birney’s OBEX film in select US theaters starting on January 9th, 2026 early next year. So who’s intrigued? Would you play? 💀
