Jack White, Post Malone, Lil Jon Play NFL Thanksgiving Halftime Shows

White plays the Lions-Packers game, Malone headlines the Cowboys-Chiefs game, and Lil Jon performs at the Ravens-Bengals game

The NFL has announced the halftime performers for its Thanksgiving games, which include Jack White, Post Malone, and Lil Jon.

The festivities on Nov. 27 kickoff with the holiday’s traditional Detroit Lions game. The Lions will host the Green Bay Packers at Ford Field in Detroit, and hometown hero Jack White will headline the halftime festivities. Fellow Detroiter Eminem and his manager Paul Rosenberg will executive produce the halftime event.

White — who is fresh off being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Meg White as the White Stripes — shared the news on Instagram alongside the Detroit Lions, the NFL, and others. He posted video of blue vinyl being pressed, which features a label on the record announcing his appearance. The post is captioned, “Hot off the press.”

Post Malone will hit the halftime stage when his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys take on the Kansas City Chiefs at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. In a joint Instagram post with the team, the NFL, and others, Malone shared a video that shows him wearing a Cowboys jacket and driving a semi-truck into Dallas. “Bigger is always better,” he says in the clip announcing his performance.

Trending Stories

“I’m from Texas. I grew up a Cowboys fan and have been watching this halftime show for years,” Malone said in a statement. “It’s a real honor to be part of the Red Kettle Kickoff with The Salvation Army and the Dallas Cowboys and help bring hope to so many people.”

Lil Jon is set to perform the halftime show when the Baltimore Ravens host the Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Hamilton star Renée Elise Goldsberry will sing the national anthem at the game, the Ravens announced last week.

Dayian Henley, Big U’s Son, Honors Slain Older Brother During NFL Game

by jummy84 November 6, 2025
written by jummy84

Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Daiyan Henley, the son of Eugene “Big U” Henley, delivered the best performance of his young career just two days after his brother was slain in Los Angeles.

On Sunday, Nov. 2, in a dramatic Sunday afternoon clash, Henley finished with seven tackles, a sack and a pass breakup in the Chargers’ 27-20 win over the Tennessee Titans.

That outstanding display came less than 48 hours after the tragic loss of his older brother, 34-year-old Jabari “Baby Uiie” Henley, who was killed in a shooting outside a South Los Angeles smoke shop on Halloween (Oct. 31).

In the second quarter, when Henley brought down Titans quarterback Cam Ward, he celebrated not just a play — but a tribute. Following the play, he dropped to his knees while looking skyward, a subtle but powerful gesture of honoring his brother’s memory.

Instagram

In the post-game locker room, he shared the raw truth behind that movement. “I just wanted to talk to my brother one more time,” Henley told reporters.

“It was just an emotional moment for me just to be able to make a play on a day like this, just losing him so soon. Like I said, it’s been a long year for me, so I had to just send a prayer up and hopefully he heard it.”

He spoke openly about the bond he shared with Jabari — not only as brother and brother, but as friend and protector. “That’s like my best friend,” he said. “I called him a protector. One thing, he was a protector of our family.”

Grief pressed in, but so did purpose. “I had a lot of pain, man, a lot of pain,” Henley said. “I just wanted to go out there and just let it out, whatever I had to get out. As traumatizing as all this is, I got a job to do,” he added.

“For me, it was coming out here and handling a job first and then being emotional after, and everything hit me pretty hard.” Henley admitted that the troubling events involving his family have taken a toll on him, deeming the past year as “the worst of [his] life.”

Indeed, the year had been a storm for the 25-year-old. He has emerged as a starter and carried the weight of family challenges off the field.

His father, Eugene “Big U” Henley, is facing a federal indictment alleging leadership of a Los Angeles–based gang enterprise and involvement in murder, extortion, human trafficking and fraud.

And yet here was Henley, in the heart of the NFL, taking his grief and channeling it into work. On the field, his seven tackles, sack and pass breakup helped tilt the game in the Chargers’ favour; off the field, his tribute to his brother showed the depth of his character.

His performance served as a declaration: even in the face of loss, he would show up. His brother may be gone, but Daiyan made it clear he is playing for more than himself.

Lululemon Teams Up With the NFL for First-Ever 32-Team Apparel Line

Lululemon Athletica has officially entered the licensed-fan apparel game by teaming up with the NFL to launch a collection covering all 32 teams.

Set to debut on October 28, the collection will span both men’s and women’s clothing and accessories. Items will feature team logos and draw from Lululemon’s iconic product lines—such as the men’s “Steady State” and the women’s “Define,” “Scuba,” and “Align” styles.

The rollout will happen across multiple channels: online via the NFL Shop and Fanatics platforms, in team retail stores, and internationally through localized NFL Shop sites.

For Lululemon, this marks its first foray into officially licensed NFL merchandise—moving beyond its usual yoga/athleisure stronghold and into more fan-centric sportswear.

The NFL views it as a way to bring fresher, higher-end apparel options to fans—beyond traditional jerseys—to capture a broader lifestyle-wear audience.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Says League Is Committed To Bad Bunny Super Bowl Halftime Show Despite Backlash From Trump Administration

The NFL is backing #BadBunny!

Commissioner #RogerGoodell doubled down on the league’s decision to have Bad Bunny headline next year’s #SuperBowl Halftime Show, saying the #NFL remains committed despite backlash from the Trump administration and others. Praising the Puerto Rican superstar’s reach, Goodell said, “He’s one of the leading and most popular entertainers in the world. That’s what we try to achieve. It’s an important stage for us. It’s an important element to the entertainment value, and it’s carefully thought through,” adding that criticism comes with virtually every selection.

Goodell also signaled the show could expand beyond a solo set, noting the halftime stage often features surprise guests alongside the headliner. Citing recent examples, he pointed to #KendrickLamar’s show with appearances from #SZA, Serena Williams and Samuel L. Jackson, as well as #Usher’s 2024 set that brought out #Ludacris, Alicia Keys and #LilJon. “I am not saying that there won’t be additional talent that might be involved but that’s always the way it works,” he said of the production, which is done in partnership with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.

Are you happy with Bad Bunny headlining the halftime show?

UK Rapper Giggs Performs at Halftime for NFL Game in London

by jummy84 October 13, 2025
written by jummy84

The NFL has been spicing up its international games with halftime performers, a bit like mini-Super Bowls.

British rapper Giggs performed Sunday (Oct. 12) at halftime of the game between the New York Jets and Denver Broncos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Broncos won 13-11.

“It’s a huge moment to be a part of the London Games,” Giggs said. “I’ve been on a journey with my music, and to get to share that with my city and the NFL fans is something I’m really proud of.”

The south London native’s 2007 single “Talkin’ da Hardest” remains a popular anthem among his fans. Cleveland Browns players unfamiliar with the song liked what they heard when it was played last week.

Giggs has done collaborations with artists including Drake, 21 Savage, Ed Sheeran and Dave.

Last week, British singer Raye performed a halftime show at Tottenham with a nearly seven-minute set that included her hit “Where is My Husband!” The Minnesota Vikings beat Cleveland 21-17 in the game.

British singer-songwriter Myles Smith was chosen to headline the halftime show at the first-ever regular-season NFL game in Ireland. At Croke Park, the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Vikings 24-21 two weeks ago.

Last month, Grammy award-winning Karol G performed in São Paulo, Brazil, when the Los Angeles Chargers beat the Kansas City Chiefs 27-21 at Corinthians Arena.

Bad Bunny will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show at Levi’s Stadium on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, California.

The NFL has been on an aggressive international growth pattern, so expect more to come.

“Bringing the best in sports and entertainment is what the international games are all about,” said Tim Tubito, senior director of global game presentation and entertainment at the NFL.

Gloria Velez Says NFL Player Tried To Rape Her When She Was Fourteen

by jummy84 September 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Gloria Velez alleges that 2 Live Crew member Uncle Luke once attempted to pay for her silence to protect an NFL player from a sexual assault allegation.

During a recent appearance on VladTV, the iconic video vixen opened up about her experience touring the country at 14 years old and how the period exposed her to predatory behavior from associates of 2 Live Crew and other celebrities.

“At that time, I almost got raped a few times,” Velez recalled.

Johnny Nunez/WireImage

“But the reason I didn’t tell a lot of people or tell anybody was because I didn’t want to hurt the people that tried to rape me and the ones that did rape me. I thought about their family, I didn’t want to ruin their career, even though they weren’t thinking about what they did to me and how they made me feel.”

Velez remembers that she was on tour with DJ Jealous Jay at the time and traveled to do a show in the Florida Keys where Luke and 2 Live Crew performing.

Uncle Luke

“Luke had an after party and we all went. There was a new athlete that just got a major deal, a football player and he kept flirting and they kept saying, ‘She’s 14, she’s 14,’ like, chill. They kept telling him that,” Velez said of her friends’ warnings to the unidentified player, who has since retired, according to Velez.

“He’s like, ‘Let’s talk upstairs.’ He was very persistent and I went, ignorantly, and we were upstairs and he tried to rape me. I told him, ‘No, I want to leave,’ and he threw money at me, ‘[saying] how much, how much,’ and kept throwing money.

“I said no, and we went back and forth and he just jumped on me and I just started screaming, even though there was so much noise, so much music. But thank God, my people heard me busted in and he acted like he didn’t care. Like he was above the law, that he was famous and rich.”

“They called me many of times when I got home like, ‘how much money do you need to be quiet?’ I said, but nothing happened.’ He goes, ‘Yeah, but something did happen, even though it didn’t go all the way.’ But I didn’t take any money, and I just said, ‘I’ll be silent, I won’t say anything.’”

Uncle Luke

When asked, Velez confirms that Luke was one of the ppl who called [to offer money]. “[They offered] a lot of money ’cause he just made a major deal,” Velez said of the unnamed player.

“Later on, I saw him a few times, I never said anything, he never said nothing. As I got older, in my late ’20s, he apologized. He tried to even flirt, I said, ‘That’s not gonna happen.’ I thought that was weird. But I forgave him. I told him I forgive him.”

In a previous interview, 2 Live Crew member Brother Marquise admitted that some men expressed the belief that they had a “pass” to rape women, a mind-state he said was uncommon in Miami at that time. “Some of that sh*t was going on,” Marquis, who passed away in 2024, said of the sexual violence against women.

“We got to Miami, it was sort of a lawless place where anything goes. Girls were there and there were guys that were really extra on some thug, some goon sh*t. In Miami, it was nothing, you’d hear guys [say] all the time, ‘I got a rape license.’ I used to see girls get abused and slapped for not participating.”

VIBE has reached out to Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell and his representatives for comment.

Odell Beckham Jr. Slams NFL Over Turf Fields

Former NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. is calling out the league’s approach to player safety, especially after another serious injury on artificial turf.

In a post on X, Beckham Jr. wrote:

“Dear NFL, I mean this with the upmost love and respect. We (The NFL) take all The precautions in the world with EVERYTHING else when it comes to players ‘health’ and ‘safety’. PLZ. PLZ. PLZ. GET RID OF THE TURF.”

He also criticized MetLife Stadium’s field, saying:

“Respect and u kno I loveeeee the Giants, but DeathLife has taken too many talented players away from the game. I kno it’s not ALL the turf’s fault but at least maybe … if TURF has to stay it’s at the HIGHEST of quality possible.”

Beckham’s comments follow a serious injury suffered by Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers during a game, a development that fueled renewed debate over artificial turf.
