Salman Khan’s Musical Return: A New Single To Look Forward To After Battle Of Galwan | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 October 16, 2025
written by jummy84

Bollywood badshah Salman Khan is ready to head back to the recording studio, initiating his musical return after a short break. After completing the shoot for his highly anticipated action drama Battle of Galwan, the star will start work on a fresh single — his second since Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

Popular for his deep, expressive voice and sincere delivery, Salman has earlier contributed vocals to popular hit songs such as Hangover (Kick), Main Hoon Hero Tera (Hero), and Jee Rahe The Hum (Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan). All these songs were well-received by audiences and captured a gentler, musical side of the action hero. For Salman, music is not only a hobby — it’s an emotional expression and bonding with his fans. The new single, as yet unrevealed, is anticipated to have his style going on: emotional but loaded with swag.

In the midst of film shoots and studio sessions, Salman recently made a grand appearance at designer Vikram Phadnis’ couture show Ananta, which celebrated 35 years of Phadnis’ journey in fashion and cinema. Addressing the designer as a brother, Salman shared, “I’ve known Vikram for years. He’s been a part of many of my films and memories. Watching him reach this milestone and being part of it feels truly special.”

On the global scene, Salman is also heading to Qatar with his stardom. He posted that Da-Bangg The Tour Reloaded will come to the stage in Doha on November 14, 2025, at the Asian Town Amphitheatre. Posting the poster on Instagram, he captioned, “Qatar, get ready for DA-BANGG THE TOUR RELOADED.”

With new songs, intense performances, and global tours, Salman Khan has no intention of slowing down.

Stacey Jackson Breaks Ground with the First-Ever Musical Novel

Stacey Jackson Breaks Ground with the First-Ever Musical Novel

by jummy84 October 7, 2025
written by jummy84

When Stacey Jackson describes her new project, How a Gangsta Rapper Made Me a Better Mom (Integrated Musical Edition), she isn’t just announcing a book. She’s unveiling a format no one has ever attempted before a hybrid of fiction and original music that she hopes will transform the way audiences consume stories.

Each version connects story and song in real time through QR codes, hyperlinks, and embedded audio. “This is a first-of-its-kind format that fuses fiction with original music in real time,” Jackson explained.

The scope is ambitious. Alongside the novel, audiences will get The Original Book Soundtrack on streaming platforms and an Immersive Edition in spatial audio. Each chapter is paired with a track designed to heighten the emotion of the narrative. For the audiobook, those tracks are fully mastered and integrated within the storyline—making it one of the first audiobooks in history to deliver a cinematic, musical experience.

The idea stems from Jackson’s long-standing desire to merge storytelling with the euphoric energy of her music. Her dance anthems have climbed international charts, and collaborations with icons like Snoop Dogg cemented her place in the music world. But she wanted to do more than release singles; she wanted to reinvent the way stories could be told. “Everything I’m putting out this year is about truth and reinvention owning your story, even the messy bits,” she said. “Blinded By Goodbye might sound like a breakup anthem, but it’s really about that blink moment when the rug gets pulled out and you decide to stand up anyway sparkles and all”.

It’s fitting that her debut musical novel is rooted in resilience. The book explores identity, motherhood, and the surprising lessons Jackson learned through her unconventional journey in entertainment. The music deepens that narrative, echoing themes of heartbreak, empowerment, and survival. “Pain can be fierce,” she reflected. “And it’s euphoric because healing doesn’t have to be quiet. Sometimes you just need to blast a breakup banger and shake it off with a little glitter and a lot of bass”.

For Jackson, this format also reflects her Gen X identity a generation she champions on her podcast The Gen-X-Perience. “We were reinventing ourselves long before it became a branding strategy,” she explained. “The show dives into those layered stories of reinvention that wasn’t loud but was powerful, resilient, and often hilariously messy”. That same ethos of resilience and reinvention threads through her musical novel, proving that she’s not only telling stories for her generation but also innovating how they’re told.

By being the first to integrate book publishing and music this way, Jackson is doing more than experimenting she’s setting a precedent. This launch isn’t just a release; it’s the beginning of a new storytelling format that could inspire other creators to merge mediums. “This pioneering format signals a new era for readers and listeners alike where storytelling is no longer bound to the page, but fully brought to life through music”.

50 First Dates: The Musical review – Could this be the most charming musical yet?

by jummy84 September 25, 2025
written by jummy84

Fans of the original movie will be pleasantly surprised that the essence of the story between Lucy, an artist with short-term memory loss and Henry, the commitment phobe who falls in love with her, remains the same, albeit with some slight tweaks to Henry’s job.

I’ll admit, I was hesitant at first when Henry wasn’t introduced as a marine veterinarian and, rather, a travel vlogger who found himself in Key Largo in Florida before he jets off on a European adventure of a lifetime, which soon comes to a halt when he meets Lucy.

But it works. The songs, penned by David Rossmer and Steve Rosen, are just as wholesome and charming as the love story presented to us, with even the most sceptical of audience members (like myself) are soon won over.

The chemistry between Castle and St Clair is palpable, with the pair’s characters falling in love after just one day checking off Lucy’s list and having seemingly the perfect day. Their reputations precede them, having starred in the likes of Mamma Mia! and and Kinky Boots, respectively.

With their romance told through songs such as They’re Not You and Good Morning, Lucy, you find yourself rooting for a pair you’ve only been introduced to just 30 minutes prior.

Like every musicals on and off the West End, the ensemble is core to any show, and 50 First Dates is no different.

From the absolute power ballad that is Key Largo, led beautifully by Chad Saint Louis (Spring Awakening), to Aiesha Naomi Pease’s performance of pretty much anything, her voice is complete euphoria.

Ricky Rojas and Aiesha Naomi Pease stood beside one another looking confused.

One part of the musical, just as in the film, that makes this an incredibly heartwarming outing is the love that the residents of Key Largo, her family and eventually Henry have for Lucy.

Perfectly weaved throughout the musical is the love each and every character has for one another, whether it be romantic or platonic, or sometimes misconstrued when it comes to Henry’s manager, Delilah, played hilariously by Natasha O’Brien (Mamma Mia!).

The Other Palace makes the perfect location for 50 First Dates, with the staging and projections adding to the warm and cosy feeling the story omits.

It can be difficult to hit the mark with a movie adaptation for stage, but its creation has been a long and loving road for its creators, who all speak so highly of the work they have created.

The cast of 50 First Dates The Musical all singing and dancing on a pink lit up stage.

“50 First Dates is so much more than a romantic comedy,” said Rosen. “While it is wonderful to watch Henry and Lucy fall in love, there is something so much deeper play.”

Rosen noted that the story is about “community and about the lengths people will go to in order to level the playing field for people they love who have been dealt an unfair situation”, and 50 First Dates: The Musical has certainly succeeded in telling that story.

If you’re after charm, wittiness and charisma, 50 First Dates could just be the musical for you.

50 First Dates: The Musical is at The Other Palace until Sunday 16th November.

Beetlejuice The Musical is coming to the West End

by jummy84 September 25, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s showtime! Beetlejuice The Musical is transferring to the West End stage after a smash-hit Broadway run.

The Tim Burton adaptation enjoyed three runs on the New York stage, plus an 88-city North American tour, and now is landing in London from May 2026.

The show will run at the Prince Edward Theatre featuring a Book by Scott Brown and Anthony King, Music and Lyrics by Eddie Perfect and direction from Tony Award winner Alex Timbers.

Much like the original 1988 film starring Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara, the musical follows “the tale of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager sharing her home with a pair of newly-deads and the demonic ghost-with-the-most, Beetlejuice. He’s dead trouble, but if you really want to feel alive, just say his name three times”.

Beetlejuice The Musical.

Following the announcement, James Lane, Producer of Crossroads Live said: “The wait is over! We are beyond thrilled to be working alongside Warner Bros and the ingenious team behind Beetlejuice to bring this highly anticipated Broadway hit to London’s West End at last.

“There is nothing else quite like this show, and audiences really are in for a terrifyingly hilarious treat at the spectacular Prince Edward Theatre next year.”

Casting has yet to be announced, although the original Broadway stint had Alex Brightman in the role, which saw him earn a Tony nomination for best actor.

Tickets for the musical will go on sale from 30th October for now, check out the latest theatre shows at LOVETheatre.

Constance Wu slams Andrew Barth Feldman over casting in Broadway musical Maybe Happy Ending

Constance Wu has criticised Andrew Barth Feldman over his casting in the Broadway musical Maybe Happy Ending.

Constance Wu has criticised Andrew Barth Feldman over his casting in the Broadway musical Maybe Happy Ending

The actress, 43, says she is “so disappointed” after a series of conversations about Asian American representation, and shared her sentiments in a statement on Instagram revealing that she and Andrew had spoken on the phone about the controversy.

She wrote: “It was a peaceful call and we spoke at length, followed up by several emails/texts. It made me hopeful. But after a recent voice memo he sent me, all I can say is that I am so disappointed in him. And feeling pretty discouraged.”

Andrew joined the cast of the South Korea-set musical on 2 September for a nine-week run opposite his girlfriend Helen J Shen.

He replaced Darren Criss, who took a hiatus from the show on 31 August and is scheduled to return on 5 November.

Darren, who is Filipino American, previously led the production in the role of Oliver.

Constance added: “It’s hard to keep speaking up when it feels like no one is listening anymore in this new era. It’s exhausting and increasingly lonely. Once again, Asian Americans are left unheard, unacknowledged, invisible. Sadly, we’re used to this.

“A dozen or so folks bts at @maybehappyending have remained silent perhaps in the hopes that this will all fade away and you know what? It has. Your plan is working, guys – I heard your box office doing great.”

Writers Hue Park and Will Aronson responded earlier, saying in a joint statement: “We wrote a show about robots so we could engage more intimately with the most basic human questions of love and loss, creating the roles of Oliver and Claire to be avatars of these universal questions.

“They were meant to be products created by a global company, and so never bore Korean names, even in the Korean version of the show. At the same time, we understand that for many in the AAPI community, the makeup of our opening night cast became a meaningful and rare point of visibility.

“We’ve heard how strongly people connected to that representation, even if it wasn’t our original intent, and how this casting decision has re-opened old wounds.”

Constance also referenced a petition launched by B.D. Wong, who wrote on Instagram on 10 August that Andrew’s casting was “taken as a hard slap in the face of both the Asian actor community and the Asian audience.”

B.D. added more than 2,400 people had signed the petition, which he described as “a detailed articulation of our POV.”

Constance concluded: “I’m sorry to the thousands of people on @wongbd’s petition whose signatures he and the producers have yet to publicly acknowledge.

“And honestly, I’m sorry ABF that you’ve been (perhaps unfairly) saddled with this responsibility by your producers. But sometimes we don’t choose our responsibilities, they choose us. So the question that remains is: what are you choosing to do with it?”

Maybe Happy Ending, which follows two robots in Seoul who form an unlikely romance, was written by Aronson and Park and won six Tony awards, including best musical, in June.

Andrew’s limited run as Oliver continues until 1 November.

New ‘SNL’ schedule features Sabrina Carpenter as both musical guest and host

by jummy84 September 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Sabrina Carpenter will pull double duty as both host and musical guest when Saturday Night Live returns next month.

Off the back of her new album ‘Man’s Best Friend’, the pop star will appear on the third episode of the iconic show’s 51st season on October 18. It will be the first time she has hosted but she was previously a musical guest on season 49. She was also part of the show’s 50th anniversary celebrations back in February, at one point appearing in a sketch where she sang an off-key version of ‘Espresso’.

The season 51 premiere has Bad Bunny booked to host on October 4, while Doja Cat will be making her SNL debut as musical guest. SNL alumna Amy Poehler will return to host on October 11, with Role Model as the musical guest.

Carpenter has also been announced as one of the headliners of next year’s Coachella alongside Justin Bieber and Karol G. After days of speculation, she was confirmed to be closing out the Friday night of both weekends at the desert music festival.

Coachella 2026 will take place between April 10 and 12, and again on April 17 to 19. As for tickets, you’ll be able to get yours here.

‘Man’s Best Friend’ scored a four-star review from NME, with Nick Levine writing: “Musically, this album isn’t markedly different from its predecessor, though it has a few more country-leaning cuts sprinkled among the daytime disco and featherlight funk.

“It also sticks to Carpenter’s winning formula of pairing sticky melodies with pithy lyrics about the flaws and allure of inadequate males. If there were a Bechdel Test for pop albums, ‘Man’s Best Friend’ wouldn’t be in danger of passing it.”

Meanwhile, Carpenter recently joked that her label “really didn’t give a fuck” about her after learning there were only 200 copies of her debut album made for vinyl.

Official Trailer for Gurinder Chadha’s ‘Christmas Karma’ UK Musical

“Find forgiveness!” “Why should I do the forgiving?” Time for X-Mas fun! True Brit Ent. has revealed the first official trailer for a musical comedy Christmas movie called Christmas Karma – from the acclaimed filmmaker Gurinder Chadha (best known for the films Bend It Like Beckham, Angus Thongs & Perfect Snogging, Blinded By The Light). I’m a big fan of Chadha and her films (and her musicals) so I have to say I’m curious to see how this out plays. Take Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol story, add heaps of British musical and acting talent, and you have a modern film set in vibrant, diverse London. Told from Chadha’s unique point of view and in her own distinctive style – starring actor Kunal Nayyar as Eshaan Sood, the Ebenezer Scrooge of this modern “It’s a Wonderful Life” story in the UK. The whimsical cast includes Eva Longoria, Billy Porter, Boy George, Danny Dyer, Leo Suter, Pixie Lott, Charithra Chandran, and Hugh Bonneville. With music from Gary Barlow, Nitin Sawhney, Shaznay Lewis, Ben Cullum, Panjabi MC, Jassi Sidhu and Malkit Singh, the film features an eclectic soundtrack influenced by gospel, bhangra, carols, rap and classic pop songs. You will not be able to sit still! 🎅 The “festive, feel-good event of the year” opens in UK cinemas in November. Though still no US release set. A bit too British for American audiences?

Here’s the first official trailer (+ poster) for Gurinder Chadha’s musical Christmas Karma, via YouTube:

Christmas Karma Trailer

Christmas Karma Poster

An early Xmas gift… Christmas Karma sees ones of the greatest novels – Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol – transformed into a joyous, colourful, feel-good Christmas musical that celebrates modern-day London and all of its communities and cultures. Told from Chadha’s unique point of view and in her own distinctive style, the film resonates with Dickens’ masterful statement on the human condition, exploring themes of prejudice, acceptance, reconciliation, identity & belonging. Inspired by Frank Capra’s timeless “It’s A Wonderful Life”, Christmas Karma is a festive British classic for our times, and for generations to come, that promotes a strong message to be kind, choose love and celebrate the present. Christmas Karma is directed by acclaimed British-Indian filmmaker Gurinder Chadha, director of the films Bhaji on the Beach, What’s Cooking?, Bend It Like Beckham, Bride & Prejudice, Angus Thongs & Perfect Snogging, It’s a Wonderful Afterlife, Viceroy’s House, and the musical Blinded by the Light previously. The screenplay is also by Gurinder Chadha; based on “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. Produced by Gurinder Chadha, Celine Rattray, Trudie Styler, Amory Leader. True Brit Ent will debut Chadha’s Christmas Karma movie in UK cinemas starting November 14th, 2025 this fall. No US opening is set – stay tuned. Look any good? 🎄

“The park is a fabulous setting for concerts, as legendary artists like Madonna, U2 and the Rolling Stones will know from their own fondly-remembered appearances there.

“It’s also a much-loved part of the fabric of life in Leeds, so it’s fitting that this event will be doing as much as possible to support local vendors, suppliers and staff. AEG’s commitment to the highest standards of sustainability is another very welcome plus point for us.

“Roundhay Festival will act as a wonderful showcase for our city, raising its profile with national and international audiences while delivering an important boost to the local economy.
