Who Is Morgan Geyser? All About the ‘Slender Man’ Stabbing Case – Hollywood Life

Morgan Geyser, one of the two convicted individuals in the infamous 2014 “Slender Man” stabbing case, briefly went missing in late 2025 after being released from a mental institution and brought to a group home. The case attracted attention across the country, as all suspects and the victim were 12 years old at the time that Geyser and a friend stabbed their classmate to prove that “Slender Man” — the fictional supernatural internet meme — was real.

Below, learn about the “Slender Man” stabbing case and who Geyser is.

Who Is Morgan Geyser?

Geyser is a Wisconsin native who was convicted of stabbing classmate Payton Leutner when both were 12 years old. Geyser and friend Anissa Weier lured Leutner to a park in 2014 and stabbed Leutner multiple times in order to prove that Slender Man existed. Miraculously, Leutner survived.

In 2017, Weier and Geyser were found not guilty by mental disease or defect, and they were committed to mental institutions. Geyser was sentenced to 40 years to life, while Weier was sentenced to 25 years to life. Both were released early; Weier went to live with her family in 2021, and Geyser was released in early 2025 to live in a group home.

When Did Morgan Geyser Go Missing?

Geyser went missing from the group home in November 2025 and was found shortly thereafter. The Madison Police Department stated that Geyser’s GPS monitoring bracelet had malfunctioned, and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections subsequently determined that Geyser had removed the bracelet. The next morning, Geyser was reported missing and was found later that night.

How Is Payton Leutner Doing After the Stabbing?

As previously noted, Leutner survived the stabbing. She was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after the attack.

When Geyser was reported missing, a spokesperson for her family released a statement, thanking law enforcement for their work.

“Payton and her family are safe and are working closely with local law enforcement to ensure their continued safety,” the statement read. “The family would like to thank all of the law enforcement entities involved in the efforts to apprehend Morgan. The Leutner family also wish to thank the outpouring of support from family, friends and well-wishers who have contacted them during this difficult time.”

Where Is Morgan Geyser Now?

Geyser is currently back in custody. Geyser was found shortly after going missing from a group home in late November 2025.

Morgan Freeman Taking Legal Action Over Al Replicas Of His Voice: My Lawyers Have Been Very, Very Busy

Chile…y’all done pissed #MorganFreeman off!

The veteran actor, who’s been a force in #Hollywood since the 1960s, arguably has one of the most recognizable voices in pop culture. Beyond his acclaimed film career, Freeman’s voice has long been a staple in animation, narration, music collaborations, and even video games. However, with the rise of #AI, his signature vocals are now being replicated for projects he never recorded or approved.

Airing out his frustrations on the matter to The Guardian, he said, “I’m a little PO’d, you know. I’m like any other actor: don’t mimic me with falseness. I don’t appreciate it and I get paid for doing stuff like that, so if you’re gonna do it without me, you’re robbing me.”

Making it known that his legal team is taking care of the issue, he continued, “Well, I tell you, my lawyers have been very, very busy.” When asked if any cases are being pursued, Freeman added, “Many, yeah. Quite a few.”

Should more celebs take legal action when AI mimics their voice or likeness without permission?

“I thought – we should start from square one. It’s a puzzle I had to unravel.” Prime Video has revealed the first look teaser trailer for Paul McCartney: Man on the Run, yet another new Beatles documentary – though this isn’t really about them, it’s about what happened after The Beatles. Man on the Run is a film by acclaimed, Oscar-winning doc director Morgan Neville (of 20 Feet from Stardom, Best of Enemies, Keith Richards: Under the Influence, Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead). Currently set for release in February 2026, after first premiering at the 2025 Telluride Film Festival this fall. After The Beatles break up (in 1970), Paul McCartney forms new band called Wings with his wife Linda. Archival home footage shows Paul’s life with Linda, who influenced his music, as well as his experiences after The Beatles fame. The doc film follows Wings from formation through 1970s during which Paul wrote hit songs. The description says the film “captures Paul’s transformative post-Beatles era through a uniquely vulnerable lens.” Which sounds like we get to learn about a whole other side of him that we haven’t seen before. Enjoy.

Through unprecedented access to previously unseen footage & rare archival materials, the doc captures McCartney’s transformative post-Beatles era through a uniquely vulnerable lens. Paul McCartney: Man on the Run is directed by acclaimed American filmmaker Morgan Neville, director of many great doc films Troubadours, 20 Feet from Stardom, Best of Enemies: Buckley vs. Vidal, Keith Richards: Under the Influence, Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead, Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain, Bono & The Edge, and The Saint of Second Chances previously, plus the recent STEVE! (martin) a documentary in 2 pieces doc. Produced by Chloe Simmons, Meghan Walsh, Scott Rodger, Ben Chappell, Michele Anthony, David Blackman, & Morgan Neville. Amazon will release Neville’s Man on the Run doc streaming on Prime Video starting in February 2026 next year.

Justine Lupe on Morgan and Sasha

by jummy84 October 25, 2025
written by jummy84

[This story contains MAJOR spoilers from Nobody Wants This season two.]

Justine Lupe returned for Nobody Wants This season two with a love story of her own. But it came with a twist.

The return of the hit Netflix rom-com saw Morgan (Lupe) bringing home her therapist, Dr. Andy (Arian Moayed), and they embark on a whirlwind romance that seems too good to be true — and, by the finale, she learns that it was. Morgan rushing into her new relationship was a reaction to feeling left behind after seeing her sister, Joanne (Kristen Bell), fall in love with Noah (Adam Brody, which creates friction between her and Joanne.

“That’s an intense thing to feel, that the person you love and align with is not in their authentic self,” Lupe tells The Hollywood Reporter.

In the end, Morgan breaks it off at their engagement party. “Doing it at a party is no bueno,” Lupe tells THR. However, she admits that Morgan, “just wants to grab her confidence by the horn and take care of business by breaking up with him.”

Also ending up single at the end of the season is Sasha (Timothy Simons) — and Noah and Joanne, briefly, before they ultimately get back together, like the season one finale — after Esther (Jackie Tohn) has a change of heart and says she needs time to find herself and what she wants. As Sasha and Morgan’s friendship continued to grow throughout this season, the question remains: Will Sasha and Morgan ever date?

Below, Lupe tells THR what’s next for Morgan as she reflects on her growth throughout this season, working with guest star Leighton Meester (who is married to Brody) and unpacks Morgan’s possible romance with Sasha.

***

What was your reaction to reading the script and finding out that Morgan was going to have a love interest this season? And then, what was your reaction to finding out that love interest was going to be her therapist?!

Excitement on both counts — glee and a little bit of nervousness about hoping I could do the character justice, and that the writers would not regret that they gave me this much real estate to play with as the character. (Laughs.) But the thing that I felt most was just pure excitement.

Why did it feel important for Morgan to break up with Dr. Andy at the engagement party?

She just was so down to the wire. We’re getting really close to the moment, and, I mean, doing it at a party is no bueno. It’s no good. (Laughs.) It’s painful, and that’s what makes it kind of fun. These people are all very reactive and very impulsive. But in the moment, her mom gives her this strength she didn’t previously have. Her mom is one person most of the time. In his circumstance, she’s so desperate to protect her child from making a mistake that she steps into being a real mama bear and says, “Hey, listen, get your shit together. You don’t want to make this a mistake. This is a big thing that I did, and I don’t want you to do this, too.” It means a lot to Morgan in that moment. Seeing her mom rise into this different version of herself is really impactful, and there’s something incredibly motivating about it, so she just wants to grab her confidence by the horn and take care of business by breaking up with him. That being said, I don’t think that an engagement party is the way to go with a breakup. (Laughs.)

The tension is higher this season between Morgan and Joanne. What’s deep at the heart of their relationship that’s driving this friction?

For Morgan, it’s the threat of losing her relationship with her sister to this new relationship. This whole season for Morgan is a reaction to her sister finding love and her feeling left behind, and her feeling a bit of an identity crisis and going, “What is my life and who am I and where am I going to end up and where’s my husband and where’s my love?” Because of that, she rushes into something that’s not real, not authentic — and Joanne can feel that. That’s an intense thing to feel that the person you love and align with is not being their authentic self, and I think Morgan is fighting so hard to feel OK and Joanne is fighting so hard to prove to Morgan that what she’s doing is not authentic that it creates a lot of tension between them. The whole thing is about caring about each other. Morgan caring about her relationship with Joanne changing, and Joanne caring about Morgan ruining her life because she’s jumping into something that is not gonna be good for her in the end.

Leighton Meester came in as a guest star this season and brought so much fun energy to episode five. How did you, Kristen and Leighton approach those comedic moments together?

You know, we didn’t talk about them. We all kind of know what that energy is. It was so well written. Leighton had built such a specific and fun character that we were like, “OK, let’s just play the circumstances of what’s going on and who this woman is and how we would honestly react with this kind of energy.” We all love Leighton. She’s so awesome and fun and talented that it was a very easy fit. She just slipped right into the whole thing and it was a blast. We really leaned into what was on the page and what Leighton had created as a character. It was a lot of fun.

Now that you and Sasha are both single, would you want Morgan to explore that relationship romantically?

I think Morgan knows — and I know — that Sasha is going through something deeply upsetting and deeply life-changing, and that there’s something really substantial to what he’s going through right now. At the end when she says, “Sasha, you’re a good guy.” After, he says, “Hey, if she thinks I’m going to wait around for her, then she’s right.” I think Morgan is earnestly saying you’re a good guy in that moment and their friendship has evolved into something that’s very supportive and platonic. They’re each other’s partners in a specific way that’s not romantic in that moment. So I don’t know where it’s gonna go, but right now he’s got some healing to do and so does Morgan. I don’t have any hopes because I think no matter what happens, it will be fun between them. Instinctively, I’m like, “You guys just support each other as friends because I actually think that you could be very healing presences for each other.”

Do you think, though, that sometimes the best relationships can start from friendships? You guys do have an undeniable chemistry.

Totally. And if it ends up there, I get it and I can see that. But I also think in this moment, she just broke up with someone where she rushed into a chaotic [relationship], she’s clearly not in her right mind in this season. She has soul searching to do and some self-confidence to gain and stabilizing to do as a human. He has to really process what’s just happened with his wife and mother of his child. So I think rushing into a romantic thing…. I mean, this is just my opinion as an audience member. As an actor, I would be thrilled to do anything. Tim is my favorite person. He’s really one of my best friends now, and I would truly love to sit on a block with him and say nothing for like 15 hours in a scene. I’d be happy just to read the phone book with Tim. So whatever happens, I’m down. But as an audience member, I appreciate that they’re in this moment and that it could, down the line, evolve into something else, but right now, they’re just being really good friends to each other.

The ending very much insinuated that Joanne will finally convert, as we see her and Noah get back together. What is your take on the ending and what do you hope to see for their future?

I felt relief. This has been the friction that’s underneath all of the idiosyncrasy. There’s a lot of compromise. A lot of negotiating. There’s a lot of friction between the two of them in these moments post deciding to get into this relationship. That’s really interesting and we all can relate to once you agree to be in a relationship and you’re off the honeymoon high that you’re like, “Oh, and now we have to navigate these little things.” And this is the big underlying question underneath all that: Is this gonna happen? Can we do this? Are you interested in doing this? I just thought it was beautiful.

Jackie Tohn’s monologue as Esther about what Judaism is and what the feeling behind Judaism is and what the essence of what it means to be Jewish, I found it so compelling. I loved that monologue and I loved that there’s a moment that Joanne clicks into understanding that this is something that feels right to her. I felt that she honestly understood, [that] I actually want to do this and I actually want to convert. So, for me, the ending was incredibly satisfying and romantic. It didn’t feel muscled because of the tracks that they laid throughout the season. I was really excited that they both came together at the end.

Timothy Simons as Sasha, Jackie Tohn as Esther and Lupe as Morgan in Nobody Wants This season two.

Erin Simkin/Netflix

In addition to Leighton, this season saw some great guest stars, including Seth Rogen. But who are some other dream guest stars you’d like to see in a potential season three?

Lynn (Stephanie Faracy), my mom’s best friend on the show is named Goldie, and every time they say Goldie, like, “Oh, she’s doing shrooms with Goldie. This is what she does on her birthday.” I think of Goldie Hawn and so, I would just love to have Goldie Hawn on the show. I think she’s brilliant and fun and there’s something about her playing Lynn’s best friend that very much works.

Since the show has filmed, you’ve gotten married and become a parent. Has that changed your perspective on how you view the relationships in the show at all, and in what ways?

No, to be honest, it hasn’t changed. I have an incredible partner who is an incredible person to date. So, if anything, it’s fun to watch this thing that feels very aspirational and inspirational. People are like, “But does it exist?” And to be cheering on the sidelines, “It does exist!” My husband’s taught me a lot about healthy partnership and the ability to support one another and help each other evolve. These are all things that are valuable about the show. This show really explores two fully realized adults trying their best in a non-toxic way to date each other, even with all their flaws. They’re really working on being the best versions of themselves and trying to show up for the relationship. It’s something that I feel like my partner is incredibly good at. I have a lot of girlfriends who are single and they’re in their late 30s and they’re like, “Will I find the person? And are there nice guys out there? Do these people exist that treat each other well?” The thing that my life brings to this whole narrative is me feeling like, “Yeah, there are good guys out there and they can behave nicely and it can go well and it can be smooth.” So, I like that the show has a relationship that’s representative of that.

‘High Potential’ Exclusive Sneak Peek Gives Morgan and Ava Update After Fight About Roman

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Can Elliot (Matthew Lamb) get his mom Morgan (Kaitlin Olson) and sister Ava (Amirah J) talking after their fight about Roman on High Potential? Well, he’s starting to plant the seeds for just that in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the Tuesday, October 21, episode.

In the clip, Elliot wakes Morgan up to show off his Halloween costume. “A sassy friar?” she guesses. “A science friar?” After he explains who he is, he notices the backpack on the bed and asks about it. “Let’s just say it’s the reason your sister and I aren’t exactly talking right now,” Morgan says. “What’s she doing? Is she still up, too?”

Elliot tells her, “She’s barely come out of her room since you grounded her. I think you should talk to her.” Though Morgan, at first, declines to take that advice, she does eventually cave, but she also has to be happy when work calls so she can continue to put that off. Watch the full video above for more from Morgan and Elliot — and a “special guest” offering an opinion.

In this episode, aptly titled “Chasing Ghosts,” as Halloween approaches, the team investigates a spooky case where a wealthy lawyer is found dead in his haunted Victorian mansion. Captain Wagner (Steve Howey) surprises everyone with his skills. Plus, Elliot plays mediator between Morgan and Ava.

The backpack in question in our clip above belonged to Ava’s father, Roman, whom Morgan has been trying to track down. Ava had convinced Roman’s friend, Arthur (Mekhi Phifer), to give them the bag so Morgan can look through it and see if it can help. Morgan wasn’t happy about Ava following her to her meeting with Arthur, but her daughter argued that Morgan’s the same way. Morgan then told her she’d decide how much she’d involve Ava in the stuff with her dad until she could trust her again. It was after Ava walked off that Morgan found Roman’s bag on her front step.

What’s your theory about Roman? Let us know in the comments section below.

bitchy | Piers Morgan: No serious person believes King Charles or Kate are racists

by jummy84 October 9, 2025
written by jummy84

This past weekend, the Daily Mail began serializing Piers Morgan’s new book, Woke Is Dead. As you can imagine, the first excerpt was almost exclusively about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are seen by Britain’s right-wing establishment as the most prominent examples of “woke.” (British royalists also know that they have to talk about the Sussexes to sell books.) As I often remarked when Dan Wootton was shrieking and squealing about “woke” back in the day, these people are using “woke” to mean “Black.” That’s all it means to them. That Black people are doing something they don’t like, like existing or thriving or calling out racism. That’s “woke.” Well, even though the Mail put Piers’s book excerpt on their cover, his BS was immediately overshadowed by Meghan stepping out in Paris. Well, as the Meghan-in-Paris story cools down, it’s time to actually figure out wtf Piers is saying.

Piers Morgan said in a new book that he “played a small role in burying the obscene race claims” made by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry about the royal family. In his new book, Woke Is Dead, serialized in the Daily Mail, Morgan said his own decision to name King Charles III as the royal who made the remark and Princess Kate as having been present played a role in “burying” the allegation.

He wrote: “I gladly played a small role in burying the obscene race claims for good when Harry and Meghan’s self-appointed publicist, Omid Scobie, published a gossipy, pro-Sussex book called Endgame in 2023. He boasted that he knew the names of Meghan’s ‘royal racists’ and simply couldn’t use them for legal reasons. But the names appeared in the Dutch edition of Endgame, and I named them live on air in my TV show as King Charles and Catherine, Princess of Wales. I did that because speculation was raging out of control, dragging the whole royal family across the coals again. But also because, once you know the names, it becomes blindingly obvious just how absurd the accusations are.”

“Whatever your view of the monarchy, I don’t think any serious person really believes that King Charles or the Princess of Wales have a racist bone in their bodies. Judging by the public reaction, this was only the endgame for the royal race-baiters.”

Morgan frames Harry and Meghan’s royal exit as emblematic of what he described as the “woke” era but said the world had now moved on, and if the couple’s Oprah Winfrey interview were given today, it would be received differently.

“There is no doubt the royal family has taken a battering,” he wrote, “not least a five-year onslaught from Prince Harry and Princess Pinocchio, the Sussex separatists, who attacked the institution as a cruel and racist anachronism. In my view, they did so just to boost their own brand. But the monarchy under King Charles is doing what monarchy does – enduring, calmly above the fray. Brand Sussex, meanwhile, is now about as popular as Ebola. When I denounced their infamous whine-a-thon interview with Oprah Winfrey, the MyTruth pioneer, in 2021 and lost my job hosting breakfast television as a result, it came at the very apex of woke insanity.”

“We were in the age of endlessly offended cancel culture, when everybody was assumed guilty until proven innocent, especially on socially sensitive matters like race or mental health. Self-certifying as a victim—as Harry and Meghan so publicly did—meant your truth was gospel. I don’t think the reaction to Harry and Meghan’s damaging allegations about the royal family would be anywhere near as unquestioning and sympathetic if the same interview happened today,” he added. “Riding a woke wave of self-pitying martyrdom may have been the only smart thing the Sussexes have ever done. But waves have to break in the end—and so does the public’s patience with liars.”

[From Newsweek]

Just to be clear, Meghan said (in the Oprah interview) she was suicidal during the worst of the British media’s racist hate campaign against her. Piers Morgan’s immediate reaction was to call her a liar. Meghan didn’t get him fired either – he got himself fired. Meghan spoke to an executive at GMB’s network, and she said that it’s pretty awful for anyone with suicidal ideation for Piers to bloviate about how they’re all liars and no one should believe them. She only spoke to the executive after Piers had spent years smearing her and paying her relatives to recite toxic scripts about her. Piers was still allowed on the air after that, but when Alex Beresford challenged Piers, Piers stormed off the set in a childish huff. THAT is when Piers was fired. I’m including the video below. Instant classic. As for what Piers says about how no one believes that Charles and Kate are galloping racists… lmao. If anything, people are even more convinced that ALL of them said really horrible sh-t to and about Meghan.

Is Season 2 Setting Up a Love Triangle for Morgan, Karadec, and New Captain Nick Wagner?

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for High Potential, Season 2 Episode 4, “Behind the Music.”]

High Potential‘s second season is heating up as the latest episode teased a moment of connection for LAPD consultant Morgan Gillory (Kaitlin Olson) and colleague Adam Karadec (Daniel Sunjata). But will the newest addition stir things up?

Steve Howey joined the mix as Captain Nick Wagner in the latest installment, “Behind the Music,” after Selena Soto (Judy Reyes) was passed over for the position he assumed. After Morgan comforted Soto in her office before leaving the department for the night, she headed for the elevator, where Nick made his big introduction.

While Morgan appeared to be immediately suspicious of her fellow elevator rider, there was a flirty tone to the exchange as he informed her that he knew who she was and was looking forward to learning more. Initially, Morgan didn’t realize who he was until he informed her that he had ridden the elevator down to chat, but he had to head back up to the third floor. Of course, high-IQ Morgan put the pieces together then and officially met Captain Nick Wagner.

But we can’t ignore how Karadec continues to connect with Morgan, as their will-they-won’t-they dynamic continues to evolve. As fans saw in the episode, Morgan was rather quiet and contemplative, and Karadec took the moment to identify what was causing her silence, revealing that he knows many different reasons why she gets quiet.

Despite their differences, Karadec’s time to bring this up only magnifies the attention he pays her, even if she doesn’t notice, which is sure to excite fans rooting for potential romance. But will Nick mess up their progress? It’s a little early to tell, but we could see how the show may lead us down that path.

“He’s a bit of a chameleon, and he develops these relationships with each respective character that have their own DNA. And that’s what’s been fun to write to,” showrunner Todd Harthan teased to TV Insider earlier this fall. “So, I think right away when Steve lands in our world, you’re going to start to see these dynamics that he has with each perspective character. And that’s kind of the fun disruption that happens in the bullpen.”

In other words, we’re in for some surprises. Stay tuned to find out what’s in store for Morgan, Nick, Karadec, and more as Season 2 of High Potential continues to unfold, and let us know if you think a love triangle is being set up in the poll.

Morgan Wallen Denies Throwing Chair From Bar’s Roof in Police Footage

Country music artist Morgan Wallen initially denied throwing a chair off the roof of Nashville bar Chief’s in 2024, according to police video footage obtained by The Associated Press.

The Metro Nashville Police Department released the footage from Wallen’s April 2024 arrest, after the AP filed a public records request. The video was taken through police car cameras and officers’ body cameras.

As shown in the body camera footage, officers are standing next to Wallen outside of the Chief’s bar on Broadway. An officer asks him what happened, and Wallen replies, “I don’t know.” The musician also tells an officer, “We’ve not tried to cause no problems, man. I don’t know what they are, I don’t know why.” The officer tells Wallen that the police were attempting to understand what happened after a chair fell from the bar’s rooftop and landed by the policeman’s patrol car. Wallen answers, “As you should.”

According to the video, officers “spoke to witnesses who identified Wallen as the one who threw the chair, and reviewed security cam footage.” Later footage shows the musician in the backseat of a patrol cruiser, and saying, “I ain’t done nothing wrong.” The footage also shows officers handcuffing him.

Billboard has reached out to reps for Wallen for comment.

Wallen was arrested on April 8, 2024, and briefly jailed after he threw a chair from the sixth-floor rooftop of the bar Chief’s on Lower Broadway in downtown Nashville. The chair reportedly landed a few feet away from where two Metro Nashville police officers were standing. The country star was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. In December 2024, Wallen pled guilty to two misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment in Nashville court and was sentenced to two years’ probation and seven days in a DUI education center.

Nearly two weeks after Wallen’s arrest, he addressed the incident, writing on social media, “I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility…. I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. Regarding my tour, there will be no change. -MW”

Since that time, Wallen has seen his most recent album, I’m the Problem, spend a dozen nonconsecutive weeks atop the all-genre Billboard 200, and has regaled fans with his stadium-headlining I’m the Problem Tour this year.
