Joe Burrow’s 2025 season has been dealt a major blow. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, who has been one of the NFL’s brightest young stars since being drafted first overall in 2020, is now facing surgery following his latest injury. The news has fans across the league concerned about how long the Pro Bowl QB will be sidelined, and what it means for the Bengals’ playoff hopes.

With recovery time still being evaluated, all eyes are on Burrow’s status and his road back to the field. Find out more below.

Who Is Joe Burrow?

Burrow is the starting quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, taken No. 1 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft out of LSU, where he led the team to a national championship. Known for his poise, accuracy, and leadership, he had a breakout season in 2024, earning NFL Comeback Player of the Year honors and ranking among the league’s top passers before this injury.

What Happened to Joe Burrow?

During Week 2 of the 2025 season, in a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Burrow suffered a left toe injury in the second quarter after being sacked by Arik Armstead. He was helped off the field, seen using crutches and a boot. Backup QB Jake Browning came in and led the Bengals to a 31–27 win, but Burrow did not return.

What Is Joe Burrow’s Injury and Why Does He Need Surgery?

The injury has been diagnosed as a severe case of turf toe with significant ligament damage in the big toe joint, a hyperextension injury that requires surgical intervention. The severity makes rest alone insufficient for full recovery, so Burrow is expected to undergo surgery to repair the damage.

Former New England Patriots safety and three-time Super Bowl champion Devin McCourty, now an analyst for NBC’s Football Night in America, weighed in on Burrow’s situation.

“I think for Joe Burrow, the worst thing that happened to him… is that he’s a Cincinnati Bengal… I hate the way this Bengals organization has built this team,” McCourty said, criticizing the franchise for not doing enough to protect their star QB.

How Long Will Joe Burrow Be Out?

Burrow is expected to be sidelined for at least three months following surgery. That timeline suggests he could miss a large portion of the regular season, with the possibility of a return late in the year (potentially December), depending on recovery.

Review: Francis Lawrence’s ‘The Long Walk’ is an Emotional Wallop

by Alex Billington
September 12, 2025

“Walk until there’s only one of you left…” This unexpected end of summer surprise is one of the best of the year. The Long Walk is one of three new Stephen King adaptations this year – as well as The Life of Chuck and The Monkey. It’s based on one of the early novels by King published back in 1979 (under his pseudonym Richard Bachman). The Long Walk features a dystopian American future + a yearly government game a lot like The Hunger Games; though let’s be honest, it’s more than likely The Hunger Games borrowed from this story, considering The Long Walk was published a full 29 years before any of those books. And they really pulled this off. This movie got me good… It’s even more emotionally impactful and thrilling as a depiction of fascist dystopian hell than so many other stories trying the same. It shook me up proper. Yep we’re heading towards exactly what is depicted – it’s a zeitgeist concept. Not only is the filmmaking top notch, it’s riveting and so unsettling to watch, but the performances are what matter the most and they’re all excellent in here.

Here is the setup: in the near future with a devastated economy, America now offers a once-a-year become-very-wealthy game for young men around the country. One boy from each state is chosen through a lottery to compete in “The Long Walk.” The rules are simple: everyone must keep walking at a speed of 3 MPH or above. You keep on walking & walking until there’s only one person left. “If you fall below the speed of three miles per hour, you get your ticket.” Meaning they kill you. A convoy of military vehicles follows along to maintain the rules. If you do the calculations, this “long walk” should last about 3 days and cover over 300 miles, which is right around when the exhaustion is so unbearable you pass out or go crazy. There are up to 3 warnings issued if you slow down, which also grants them time to urinate or tie their shoe if necessary. It’s grueling. It’s insane. Of the 50 competitors in this long walk, the focus is on Cooper Hoffman playing Ray Garraty (#47) and David Jonsson playing Peter McVries (#23), who become friends over the course of the arduous stroll. Along with Stebbins (#38 – Garrett Wareing), Arthur (#6 – Tut Nyuot who is yet another stand out), Barkovitch (#5 – Charlie Plummer), Hank (#46 – Ben Wang), Collie (#48 – Joshua Odjick).

The relationships formed on this long walk are the most important part of this story – this is the real meat of King’s tale. Of course it is also brutally honest commentary on fascism & capitalism, and the way the world rewards only those willing to kill themselves (more on that below). But it’s also a story of these “boys”. This movie has the most vivid and deeply moving Sam & Frodo energy between Ray & Pete I’ve experienced in a long time. Some of the most perfect casting picks ever getting Cooper Hoffman and David Jonsson as the two leads. They are remarkable together in this. I was wiping away tears by the end. I won’t stop thinking about them for a long time… It’s not just their friendship, it’s their comradery, their conversations, the way they grow to appreciate each other for who they are, not for the endurance to win this walk. And everything changes once they finally open up and tell each other their real stories. It’s so beautiful and wholesome… I think there’s a wise lesson in here about listening to each other, understanding each other, well beyond the macho-ness of competing in this walk thinking you’ll win it. Winning isn’t really what matters, right? I hope everyone else watching this movie comes to understand this point that King is making between Ray & Pete.

The film’s key metaphor of endlessly walking towards wealth is exceptionally accurate & clever. One of most representative analogies for life in late-stage capitalism. Yes, of course, it is literally about how insane it’d be to watch 50 boys walk for 3 days non-stop without any rest or breaks or anything. Yes, it’s gory and brutal to watch, with all the usual grisly injuries that could happen along the way. This story cannot be told without showing the gory truth of how this much walking destroys a body. The brutality is also part of the metaphor. Much like the Spanish film The Platform, simplicity is key in depicting this metaphor of America’s obsession with chasing wealth. Only 1 of the 50 will make it and win “endless riches” – it’s interesting that they never state an exact amount, just the dream of “riches” is enough. Much like life in poverty, you have to believe in yourself to get to the end or you literally won’t make it. You have to keep on marching, no matter how hard it gets. There’s wealth there at the end of the tunnel! Everyone else is dead? Whatever, keep on going, you only have yourself to worry about… And you’ll get there soon enough. Or you won’t… March on! For there is glory waiting: if you can outlast the brutality longer than everyone else! Then you, good Samaritan survivor, will finally be rewarded. Don’t worry about the 49 boys who didn’t make it… they’re not the winner. You are.

The Long Walk director Francis Lawrence, who’s also known for directing all The Hunger Games sequels after the first one (including Songbirds & Snakes), outdoes himself this time by bringing things back to the basics with pure, focused storytelling. The way he depicts the dystopian small towns along the way, flashes & moments of sullen locals watching like ghosts in the distance, indicates he has such a keen understanding of what is broken in modern society. And he wants us to see it and pick up on that within this movie. And to also feel the heaviness and bleakness of this scenario, how it’s not so far off from really happening, how this long walk is not the answer. It’s just perpetuating the madness. The sneakiest trick Francis Lawrence pulls is instilling so much hope and positivity into the first half of the movie. All 50 boys are so cheery & upbeat! It’s also part of the madness… You have to believe in this BS and create false hope in order to get even halfway there. I will admit this movie is quite depressing to watch, but the ending hits hard and lands right where it should, making the right decision. He is a Hero. He does what is necessary, but is that enough? I hope so…

Your body can reveal more about your health than medical tests. Fitness coach shares 5 simple exercises that may predict how long you might live.

We often think of blood reports and doctor visits as the only way to assess health. But sometimes, the way you balance, move, or even sit can be equally telling. Fitness coach Dan Go shares in his September 11 Instagram post 5 simple tests that can help predict how long you might live.

Here are 5 fitness tests that could predict longevity and improve your health.(Freepik)

1. The Cooper Test

The Cooper Test measures your VO₂ max. Having a high VO₂ max is associated with a longer life. To do the test, you run for 12 minutes straight and track how far you go. For optimal results, aim for the good to excellent range using the chart provided.

2. The sit and rise test

This is a basic test of strength and mobility as you age. You lower yourself to the floor cross-legged, then stand up without assistance. If you can get up without the use of any support or losing balance, you pass.

3. The air squat hold

The air squat hold is an isometric exercise that tests your lower body strength and endurance. This test reflects longevity because the squat is a fundamental movement in everyday life. The optimal time for an air squat hold is 2 minutes.

4. The deadlift

The deadlift is another fundamental exercise that tests your ability to pick up things from the ground. For most people, it’s best to avoid using a barbell and replace it with a trap bar for safety reasons. The optimal range to aim for is 10 reps at your body weight.

5. Dead hangs

Dead hang tests your upper body and grip strength. A person with a strong grip is more likely to be physically active. The optimal range to aim for is 2 minutes for males and 90 seconds for females.

Judy Greer Explains 'The Long Walk' and Her Winding Career Path

Judy Greer Explains ‘The Long Walk’ and Her Winding Career Path

by jummy84 September 10, 2025
written by jummy84

You can’t plan for the incredible career path that led Judy Greer to “The Long Walk.” With Lionsgate‘s nerve-wracking new horror movie, the multi-faceted actress is now on her second Stephen King adaptation — opening in theaters September 12.

At IndieWire’s special early screening at AMC Century City in LA, Greer was light-footed and fun for a Q&A delivered to a packed house full of her and King’s fans.

“He’s really good at writing books, that guy’s super talented,” Greer quipped of the legendary author. “But if I could go back and do it all again, I just wish I could have been in the movie more. Not because I wish I had a bigger role, but just because I loved being on set.”

'Dust Bunny'

In “The Long Walk,” Greer plays Ginny Garraty, an agonized mom who is forced to watch her son embark on an endless march designed for almost-certain death. Also known for her stand-out horror turns in “Jawbreaker,” “Halloween” (2018), and more, Greer is magnetic opposite Cooper Hoffman as her son and the film‘s main protagonist, No. 48 Raymond Garraty. Despite the subject matter, the pair had a blast acting together, and Greer is already dying for you to see Lionsgate’s behind-the-scenes footage.

“I loved those boys,” she said. “They all cared so much about the movie in a way that, when I was starting out, I felt like the people I was working with did not care as much about acting in the film and the storytelling. It was really an inspiration to watch them work.”

Published a decade after it was written under the pseudonym Richard Bachman, “The Long Walk” hasn’t been adapted before. Directed by Francis Lawrence (“The Hunger Games”) and written by JT Mollner (“Strange Darling”), Lionsgate’s film features several changes that make it a singular work of art.

“He wrote the screenplay so quickly,” said Greer, who learned Mollner spent just two weeks on the first draft of “The Long Walk” earlier that day. Greer loves King’s novel but she praised Mollner’s version for different reasons. The screenplay leaves out a lot but it says just as much and felt “original” to Greer.

“I think he said he did two rewrites after the initial table read with the cast and then that was it,” she said. “But that’s the fun, and that’s kind of the cheating element [with adaptations]. I can read all this backstory and even though a director or screenwriter will be like, ‘We’re not using a lot of that,’ I still use it.”

Greer loved collaborating with Lawrence, too. Last year, IndieWire gave big praise to the director for his work on Lionsgate’s “Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.” When it came time to take “The Long Walk,” Greer said the “Hunger Games” filmmaker was essential to creating a joyful production environment that has made the upcoming movie an emotional sleeper cell. “The Long Walk” is building serious buzz ahead of its release later this month, and some early reactions have already called it the best Stephen King movie ever made.

“[Lawrence] loves actors and if you’re not in the industry, you might think, ‘Well, of course a director would love actors!’ — but they don’t always love us. It’s weird,” Greer said. “Sometimes I feel like I’m just in the way and Francis is not one of those people.”

She continued, “I just think that for someone who has made movies of the scale that he has, to still be focused on the character and still be directing the acting, is impressive to me.”

Before “The Long Walk,” Greer played a misguided gym teacher trying to help out Chloë Grace Moretz’s “Carrie.” The actresses appeared together in Sony’s mixed-bag remake of the prom queen slasher from 2013. The original Brian de Palma movie from 1976 put King on the Hollywood map, but its lesser sophomore year still gives Greer a unique accomplishment.

“I have now been in movies for both of his first novels in theory,” she explained. “This was his first book he’s ever written, ever, ever, ever. But the first book released was ‘Carrie,’ and I was in that one too. He’s iconic and he writes stories that are really grounded. I mean, they’re horrific and some are supernatural — but I think what makes him so popular, and what makes people longtime Stephen King fans, is the characters he writes.”

King has looked back on his first novel, penned when he was just 19 and still a student at the University of Maine, as being from an angrier time in his life. Asked how her perspective has shifted over her career — from starting out as an amateur who “wasn’t good” in high school to providing the magnificent beating heart of “The Long Walk” — Greer said she still feels some of that same youthful melancholy that haunted King. And yet, she’s optimistic.

“I feel cynical, but I also feel really hopeful,” she said. “I understand the business so much more and I understand who I am so much more and what I bring to something. So, in that sense, I’ve expanded my feelings about Hollywood, but I also think it’s dark because the business is changing.”

She continued, “I’m really trying so hard to go to the movies and I really want movies to still exist in theaters and I want people to watch TV shows once a week again.”

In her live conversation with IndieWire, Greer reflected on her text-forward acting process, recommended King’s nonfiction “On Writing,” and shared her thoughts on being a scene stealer for more than 30 years. In 2025, Greer’s ambitious as ever — and she’s seeking her own starring role in a major blockbuster.

“Something I’ve never done is a real just straight-up action movie, where I’m running a lot,” Greer said. “I don’t want to run a lot, but I want a woman with a slightly better body than me to be running a lot with a wig on her head. But then I would do the acting parts.”

Greer said she’d like to be in something like “Jason Bourne.” “But that might not be a Lionsgate film, so I shouldn’t have said that one,” she joked. “Like a Lionsgate action movie is my dream job.”

Justin Long & Kate Bosworth in Coyote Horror Film ‘Coyotes’ Trailer

“They want your shelter, your food, your water, your sanity.” Aura Entertainment has revealed an official trailer for a film called Coyotes, a wild horror comedy made by genre filmmaker Colin Minihan (of Grave Encounters, What Keeps You Alive). This is premiering at Fantastic Fest 2025 coming up later this month before it opens in October. Trapped in their Hollywood Hills home, a family fights for survival when caught between a raging wildfire and a pack of savage coyotes. Starring real-life couple Justin Long and Kate Bosworth as the trapped family’s parents. Their performances underline the dual nature of the nightmare they are living—how human bonds are tested under extreme pressure and how strong one’s primal survival instinct can be. The fest adds: from “Colin Minihan, the mind behind Grave Encounters, Coyotes combines the claustrophobic dread of home invasion with brutal eco-horror, sugarcoated with [funny] situations. The film’s atmospheric intensity, tight pacing, and escalating stakes channel the distinctive unpredictability of nature gone rogue and the disastrous consequences of the forced displacement of wildlife.” Also co-starring Katherine McNamara, Brittany Allen, Mila Harris, & Norbert Leo Butz. This looks bonkers! Enjoy.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Colin Minihan’s thriller film Coyotes, direct from YouTube:

Coyotes Horror Poster

“The darkness has teeth.” When a scorching wildfire hits the Hollywood Hills, a family (Justin Long and Kate Bosworth) is stranded as their neighborhood is destroyed and their home becomes a blazing prison. What begins as an intimate domestic drama quickly escalates into a pulse-pounding survival thriller as a pack of predatory coyotes disoriented by the fires tighten their perimeter around the house. Rendered powerless by collapsing roads and no electricity, the family must rely on their courage, resilience & love for one another to survive both the inferno and snarling threat outdoors. Coyotes is directed by American genre filmmaker Colin Minihan, formerly of the Vicious Brothers, director on the films Grave Encounters, Extraterrestrial, It Stains the Sands Red, and What Keeps You Alive previously. The screenplay is written by Tad Daggerhart & Nick Simon; from a story by Tad Daggerhart, Daniel Meersand, Nick Simon. With music by Brittany Allen. Produced by Ford Corbett, James Harris, Joshua Harris, Nathan Klingher, and Jib Polhemus. This is premiering at Fantastic Fest 2025 in Austin, TX this month. Aura Ent. will then release Minihan’s Coyotes in select US theaters starting October 3rd, 2025 coming up this fall. Who’s interested?

bitchy | Victoria Hervey is ‘amazed’ that the Sussexes’ marriage ‘has lasted as long as this’

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Lady Victoria Hervey is a British socialite and Z-list celebrity. She once dated Prince Andrew, and whatever happened between them, Hervey is still (to this day) one of Andrew’s biggest supporters. She regularly defends him in interviews, and she has a long history of saying vile sh-t about Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking victims. Well, Hervey is now concerning herself with matters involving the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. She spoke to Closer about Harry and Meghan’s marriage, and whether Harry will reconcile with his father.

Prince Andrew’s ex-girlfriend Lady Victoria Hervey has said she’s ‘amazed’ that Prince Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle has lasted as long as seven years. The socialite – who briefly dated the embattled Duke of York in 1999 – told Closer magazine that Harry and Meghan’s relationship ‘seems to have been quite rocky’ lately as she suggested the Sussexes’s relocation to the US may have adversely impacted the couple.

Asked what she thinks of their future together, Lady Victoria told the publication: ‘I’m amazed their marriage has lasted as long as this – I’m sure it’s only because of the kids, because it seems to have been quite rocky for a while. She got him to move his whole life, and now she’s back where she grew up.’

Reflecting on a possible royal reconciliation [between Harry and the Windsors], Lady Victoria felt that Prince Harry will have to prove he’s a ‘changed man’ before being welcomed back into the family – but it seems less likely that Meghan will be accepted by them. If Harry can convince his father and brother, Prince William, that he ‘isn’t going to be dishing every family secret’ then there may be hope for healing.

However, she added, Meghan might have a harder time reintegrating in the aftermath of her interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, when the Duchess claimed there were ‘concerns’ within the Royal Family about her and Prince Harry’s son Archie’s skin colour before his birth. Meghan refused to say which royal spoke to Prince Harry about ‘how dark’ Archie might be, before Prince William commented on the accusation by saying the Royal Family is ‘very much not racist’.

The relationship between the brothers has remained frosty, with William believed to have ‘rejected out of hand’ an invitation to meet his younger brother when he travels to London for the WellChild Awards next week. It is a timely move on Prince Harry’s part, according to Lady Victoria, who said the Duke must ‘make up’ with the King ‘as soon as possible’ before William completely shuts the possibility of a reunion down. Even then, Lady Victoria continued, Harry will have to work ‘seriously hard’ at regaining his elder brother’s trust – especially after the Duke made a number of sensational claims against the future King in his 2023 memoir Spare.

[From The Daily Mail]

This has been happening for a few years now – I remember the big “storyline” in the summer of 2023, when the British press convinced themselves that Harry and Meghan’s marriage was on the rocks and Harry was living in a hotel. It’s always wishful thinking for the deranged community, and a disbelief that Harry is actually quite happy choosing his wife and children over his white and royal privileges. “I’m sure it’s only because of the kids, because it seems to have been quite rocky for a while.” Ah yes, imagine saying this about the family who lives peacefully in California, and not the other couple. You know, the wife who disappeared for months and then got blamed for manipulating proof-of-life photos. The husband who seems to be in an incandescent and violent rage 24-7. Is it all just projection? Wasn’t it always?

Stephen King Demanded ‘The Long Walk’ Show Teens Getting Shot

by jummy84 September 2, 2025
written by jummy84

As The Long Walk makes the trek from the page to the screen, Stephen King recently revealed the one condition he had for adapting his 1979 novel.

The author explained that the characters in the book are “the same sort of kids that are pulled into the war machine” of Vietnam, noting that he required screenwriter JT Mollner and director Francis Lawrence to show teens getting shot in their film.

“If you look at these superhero movies, you’ll see … some supervillain who’s destroying whole city blocks but you never see any blood. And man, that’s wrong. It’s almost, like, pornographic,” King told The Times of London. “I said, if you’re not going to show it, don’t bother. And so they made a pretty brutal movie.”

In The Long Walk, premiering Sept. 12 in theaters, a group of 100 young men enter an annual walking contest in dystopian America, in which the losers are executed and only one person survives.

As Lionsgate screened the first 20 minutes of the movie at Comic-Con, Mollner said he “wanted to keep the DNA and themes that Stephen King baked into his original novel.”

“Even though he was writing about specific things at the time, I feel that relevance is generational and wanted to make sure we had that. The beauty, love and the story of friendship along with the brutality of hopelessness and terror,” added Mollner. “We wanted to go all the way. I knew that Stephen King wanted us to go all the way. I knew Lionsgate wanted us to go all the way. If this book got into the wrong hands, studio or filmmakers. It could’ve been neutered. So, I’m very grateful we were able to keep the teeth that the book has.”

‘Trust Broken Long Ago’: Dhanashree Verma Takes Dig At Yuzvendra Chahal In Ashneer Grover’s New Show

by jummy84 August 25, 2025
written by jummy84

Entrepreneur Ashneer Grover is set to host a new reality show, Rise & Fall, and a recent promo has already created a buzz. The teaser, released on Amazon MX Player, features contestant Dhanashree Verma taking a veiled jab at her ex-husband, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal.

The promo introduces the show’s concept, where contestants are divided into two distinct groups: Rulers and Workers. It also shows some of the celebrity participants, including Arjun Bijlani, Kubbra Sait, Kiku Sharda, and Dhanashree. The drama kicks into gear when Kiku mentions the word “trust.” The camera immediately pans to Dhanashree, who throws a ball and says, “Trust toh mera bahut pehle hi toott chuka tha” (My trust was broken a long time ago).

The comment is a clear reference to her recent, and very public, divorce from Yuzvendra Chahal, which was finalized in March of this year. The couple’s separation was filled with controversy and allegations, with both parties sharing cryptic social media posts and making shocking revelations in podcasts.

A Game of Power and Survival

The teaser highlights the show’s premise of a cutthroat power struggle. The Rulers are shown living a luxurious life in a penthouse, while the Workers are confined to a minimal basement. The show’s tagline, “16 contestants. Two worlds. One ultimate power struggle,” perfectly encapsulates the core theme.

According to the official caption, the show promises a “daily dose of dhoka, dhamaka aur drama” as contestants form alliances and fight to rise to the top. The game begins when the Workers try to unseat the Rulers.

Rise & Fall is set to premiere on September 6, with new episodes streaming daily and for free on Amazon MX Player.

Neil Young Performs Reagan-Era Protest Song ‘Long Walk Home’: Watch

by jummy84 August 25, 2025
written by jummy84

Midway through his set at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York, on Saturday night, Neil Young sat at the piano and performed his Reagan-era protest song “Long Walk Home” for the first time since 1989.

The lyrics were largely faithful to the original version on Young’s 1987 LP Life with one crucial difference. “From Vietnam to old Beirut/If we are searching for the truth/Why do we feel that double-edged blade/Cutting through our hand” from the album was changed to “From Canada to Old Ukraine/We broke our word and left the pain/Why do we feel that double-edged blade/Cutting through our hand.”

Young and his wife, actress Daryl Hannah, are very vocal supporters of Ukraine. When Hannah appeared at the Oscars earlier this year, she made the peace sign with her hands and said, “Slava Ukraine.” This means “Glory to Ukraine,” and has become a battle cry for supporters of the embattled nation. Young originally planned on beginning his 2025 Love Earth Tour with a show in Ukraine, but ultimately pulled the plug.

“We had a good venue, close to the shelter, but the changing situation on the ground was too much,” Young wrote in a letter to fans. “I could not in good conscience take my crew and instruments into that area. My apologies to call. Ukraine is a great country with a good leader. Slava Ukraini.”

When Young originally recorded “Long Walk Home” in 1987, it was a sign that his early support for Ronald Reagan was a thing of the past. “I was never a Reagan supporter in a total blanket sense,” he told MTV in 1990. “I was one of those who felt that some ideas he had were good ideas. He had one point that he was stressing in the first six months of his job that he thought the people in the communities and neighborhoods should pull together and try to do things on their own more than depending on government to do it for them. And I thought that was a hell of an idea and here’s this old guy and he’s kind of got this image, of this fatherly image, telling all these people in their neighborhoods to pull together and get your own daycare centers happening, and get this and that happening.”

Editor’s picks

If there were any lingering doubts about his political views after “Long Walk Home,” he got rid of them in 1989 with the release of “Rockin’ in the Free World.” It’s a furious screed against George H.W. Bush that took his famous “Thousand Points of Light” speech from the 1988 Republic National Convention, along with his inaugural pledge to “kinder the face of the nation and gentler the face of the world,” and twisted it into, “We have a thousands points of light/For the Homeless Man/We’ve got a kinder and gentler/Machine-gun hand.” (And that was a gentle song compared to his 2006 response to the elder Bush’s son.)

At the Jones Beach show on Saturday, Young closed out the night with “Rockin’ in the Free World,” and added in the “Take America Back!” chant he originated in April at a Los Angeles Bernie Sanders/Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rally.

Earlier in the night, he played “Singer Without a Song” for the first time in 12 years. The super deep cut appears on no album, and only surfaced on the 2012-13 Crazy Horse Alchemy Tour, along with a handful of benefit gigs later in 2013. “It’s been a long time since we’ve done this one,” he told the crowd. “Never.” (Earlier in the day, Young and the Chrome Hearts soundchecked it a number of times since no member of the band had ever played it before.)

The two rarities weren’t the only unusual aspect of the Jones Beach show. The lingering impact of Hurricane Erin produced a high tide that event organizers knew would flood the pit midway through Young’s set. (The amphitheater sits directly on Zach’s Bay, and the pit is below sea level.) Fans with general admission pit tickets were presented with the option of accepting refunds or receiving unsold reserved seats in the stands. It created a very unusual scene where the large area directly in front of the stage was completely empty, and it indeed slowly filled with water throughout Young’s set.

The tour continues Monday night at the site of the original Woodstock Festival in Bethel, New York, which is now known as the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Things were pretty wet the first time that Young played there back in 1969, but there shouldn’t be any flooding this time around.

Kevin Jonas (real name: Paul Kevin Jonas II) has always been the Jonas Brothers’ humble and fan-favorite guitarist, girl dad and eldest brother of the band, which also consists of Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas. Since the beginning of their career, Kevin has provided backup vocals for his brothers, but he never sang a solo live on stage — until now. During an August 23, 2025, Jonas20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour show at Boston’s Fenway Park, Kevin proved that he can definitely sing. So, why has he held back for so long?

Hollywood Life has gathered all the info we know about Kevin’s vocal abilities and his recent solo below.

Can Kevin Jonas Sing?

Yes! For years, fans have been saying that Kevin could sing even though they hadn’t actually heard him belt out a few notes by himself on a stage.

The “Lovebug” artist proved his skills when he modestly walked downstage to take the microphone. Years prior, Kevin showed off his voice in the song “Scandinavia” for his and his brothers’ Disney Channel series, JONAS.

Why Doesn’t Kevin Jonas Sing Solo More Often?

During the brothers’ August 23, 2025, Boston concert, Kevin confirmed the reason why he hadn’t sung live before — because it made him “nervous.” After Nick stepped away to let Kevin take the microphone, the older brother said, “I’m super nervous, so bear with me,” then he showed off his vocal range while singing “Changing.”

Did Kevin Jonas Ever Sing Solo Before 2025?

Kevin hadn’t sung live at a concert before the August 2025 Boston show during the Jonas20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour. As loyal fans already know, he sings backup vocals while Nick and Joe usually take the lead.

Could Kevin Jonas Release a Solo Album?

Kevin has not confirmed a solo album separate from the Jonas Brothers, but fans are calling for one. It wouldn’t a stretch for the “Sucker” guitarist to create and release his own since both Nick and Joe have explored different music styles in the past — with Joe collaborating with DNCE and Nick flying solo after the Jonas Brothers went on hiatus.
