MC50 (Soundgarden, Faith No More, Fugazi Members) Announce New Live Album

by jummy84 October 23, 2025
written by jummy84

MC50 — the touring band featuring late MC5 member Wayne Kramer alongside members of Soundgarden, Faith No More, Fugazi, and others — have announced a new live album titled 10 More, set for release December 5th.

The recordings were captured during a 2018 tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of the legendary proto-punk band MC5, on which Kramer was joined by Kim Thayil (Soundgarden), Brendan Canty (Fugazi), Billy Gould (Faith No More), Matt Cameron (Soundgarden, ex-Pearl Jam), and Marcus Durant (Zen Guerrilla).

The reason the collection is titled 10 More is because an earlier album of different live cuts from the same tour was included as a bonus disc in deluxe editions of the MC5’s 2024 album, Heavy Lifting.

Related Video

Among the songs on 10 More are “The American Ruse,” “Call Me Animal,” “Rocket Reducer No. 62 (Rama Lama Fa-Fa-Fa),” “Looking at You,” and “Starship,” as well as a cover of Ray Charles’ “I Believe To My Soul.” The tunes were recorded during shows in Seattle, Cincinnati, and Hamburg, Germany.

Sadly, Kramer died in February 2024, and only a few months later, drummer Dennis Thompson passed away, leaving no surviving members of the classic MC5 lineup.

See below for the the album art and tracklist for 10 More, which is available to pre-order on vinyl or CD via Amazon.

See Demi Lovato Mashup Lady Gaga’s ‘Mayhem’ Songs for BBC Live Lounge

by jummy84 October 22, 2025
written by jummy84

Singer’s new album, It’s Not That Deep, arrives Friday

Demi Lovato performed a mashup of two songs off Lady Gaga’s Mayhem during the singer’s visit to BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.

It’s tradition for guests to tackle another artist’s music while in the Live Lounge, but Lovato upped the ante by mashing up Mayhem’s “Disease” and “Perfect Celebrity” into one seamless performance.

Lovato’s Mayhem mashup comes just two days before the singer releases her latest album, It’s Not That Deep, out this Friday. Lovato previously previewed the 11-track album with the lead singles “Fast” and “Here All Night,” both club-ready records that choose dancing over deep dives. “So proud of all the work I’ve done,” she shared on Instagram, “and now, it’s time to celebrate and have some fun!!!”

Trending Stories

“With my past eras, I often wrote cathartic music about heavy topics that I needed to process,” Lovato said in a statement when she announced her eighth studio LP.

“When I got back in the studio this time around, those songs just weren’t resonating anymore because I’m not in that place in life. I’m happy, I’m in love, and I just want to enjoy life and have fun. I realized it’s not that deep anymore, and that became the ethos for this album. It’s Not That Deep is meant for late nights and dancefloors, and I can’t wait for you all to dance with me.”

Event Tech Live and Rondayvoo connect exhibitors through new matchmaking tool

by jummy84 October 22, 2025
written by jummy84

Event Tech Live has announced a new partnership with Rondayvoo by Event Engine to launch an exhibitor partnership matchmaking platform, Rondayvoo/Match, ahead of ETL London 2025. The platform has been designed to help exhibitors discover valuable partnership opportunities with one another, encouraging smarter networking and more meaningful commercial conversations at the show.

Launching on October 27th 2025, Rondayvoo/Match focuses on peer-to-peer partnerships rather than the traditional buyer-exhibitor model. Through seamless integration with FFAIR, the event’s exhibitor manual, participants can opt in with a single click. Once registered, exhibitors complete their full profiles and partnership wishlists, enabling the system to suggest curated matches ranked from “Excellent” to “Some Overlap,” based on shared goals, markets and collaboration potential.

Profiles allow exhibitors to showcase ideal partner types, target industries, and integration capabilities, making each introduction more relevant and commercially useful. Optional WhatsApp buttons also give users the flexibility to connect instantly for on-site coordination. The platform is gated via FFAIR to ensure data protection and authenticity, accessible only to opted-in exhibitors.

Final checks and internal walkthroughs of the integration will take place between October 20th and 25th, before the official go-live to exhibitors via email campaign on October 27th. From launch, users will be encouraged to complete their profiles early and revisit the platform as new matches appear.

“Event Tech Live is always looking for ways to add meaningful value for our exhibitors – and this platform is about unlocking partnerships that could extend far beyond the show floor,” said Adam Parry, Co-founder of Event Tech Live.

Tim Davies, Co-founder of Event Engine, added, “This collaboration with ETL is a natural fit. Rondayvoo/Match is all about surfacing the hidden potential between brands at an event — and there’s no better place for that than Event Tech Live.”

By connecting solution providers, startups, agencies, and established brands, Rondayvoo/Match strengthens ETL’s mission to help the event tech community connect, collaborate, and grow. The initiative represents a new approach to exhibitor networking, transforming it into a curated, data-driven experience that supports long-term commercial success.

Watch Tame Impala Perform ‘My Old Ways,’ ‘Dracula’ for A24 Live Series

by jummy84 October 22, 2025
written by jummy84

The set, directed by filmmaker Sean Durkin, featured three songs from the group’s new LP, Deadbeat

Tame Impala showcased three songs off their new album Deadbeat for A24‘s “Sound Check” live series. The set, held at New York’s Cherry Lane Theatre and directed by The Iron Claw filmmaker Sean Durkin, featured renditions of “My Old Ways,” “Dracula,” and “Loser.”

The Australian group, led by Kevin Parker, set up on the empty theater’s stage in a circle to perform the sprawling tracks. The performance stayed largely true to the album, released last week, focusing on its psychedelic rock vibe. Durkin gave the clip a moody feel with low lighting that kept the musicians in the shadows on the stage for some of the performance.

Deadbeat is Tame Impala’s highly-anticipated fifth studio album. Last week, Parker and company visited NPR’s Tiny Desk to deliver the band’s first-ever all-acoustic performance. Armed with six acoustic guitars — one of which was used as the percussion — Tame Impala played four songs over 20 minutes, opening with The Slow Rush’s “Borderline” before performing two tracks off Deadbeat, “Loser” and “Dracula.”

Trending Stories

Parker previously described his long-awaited follow-up to 2020’s The Slow Rush as “kind of a future primitive rave act,” and an accompanying press release for Deadbeat reiterated that compelling musical aesthetic, citing Western Australia’s rave scene and bush doof culture as inspiration.

Tame Impala will hit the road later this month on their six-city U.S. tour in support of Deadbeat, beginning Oct. 27 with a four-night stand at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and concluding Nov. 17 with the third of three gigs at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum.

We Live In A Bully Culture Right Now

by jummy84 October 22, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s been 40 years since the release of Back to the Future, and somehow, people still resonate with the themes the film touched on.

Reflecting on the lasting impact of the film, stars Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd recently revealed why they believe the movie continues to connect with audiences after four decades.

“We live in a bully culture right now. We have bullies everywhere — you don’t need me to point the finger at who, but there are all these bullies,” Fox said in an interview with Empire. “In this movie, Biff is a bully. Time is a bully.”

Fox continued, “For me personally, Parkinson’s is a bully. And it’s all about how you stand up to them and the resolve that you take into the fight with them. It’s about your resilience and your courage.”

The actor noted that “there’s a lot to that right now,” adding, “I think a lot of people are responding to the movie because it strikes chords they wouldn’t otherwise recognise.”

Lloyd, who played Doc Brown in the trilogy of films, said, “It continues to amaze me how deeply the Back To The Future films affected young people. It still comes up all the time.”

Back to the Future was released on July 3, 1985. The film, directed by Robert Zemeckis, is set in 1985 and follows Fox’s Marty McFly as a teenager who is accidentally sent back to 1955, where he inadvertently prevents his future parents from falling in love, which threatens his own existence.

Following the success of the original film, the sequel Back to the Future Part II was released in 1989, and a third film, Back to the Future Part III, was released in 1990.

Are there Dave hospitality tickets?

If you want to take your Dave experience to the next level, you can do just that with hospitality tickets. These packages include benefits like VIP Lounge access, a dedicated host, and food and drinks.

While hospitality tickets are more expensive, they’re often a great option for shows, like Dave, that are extremely high in demand. If you’re willing to pay the extra money, you’re much more likely to get your hands on a hospitality ticket than general release.

PBS SoCal Sets Live 3-Hour Telethon With Josh Groban, Jamie Lee Curtis

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Following public media’s loss of federal funding, PBS SoCal is hoping viewers will help fill the gap. It has announced We ❤ Public Television, a star-studded live three-hour telethon, which will air on Sat. Nov. 8 from 4-7 pm on PBS SoCal in the Southern California area and on PBS stations nationwide on Thanksgiving night.

The celebrity lineup includes Josh Groban, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ken Burns, Ziggy Marley, Lily Tomlin, Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Marlee Matlin, Nicholas Ralph, Noel Paul Stookey, Rick Steves, David Foster and Katharine McPhee, Adam Arkin, Courtney Vance, Martha Plimpton, Joe Bonamassa, Sheléa, Jesse Cook, Judy Blume, Celtic Woman, Sarah Silverman, Mychal the Librarian, Lindsey Stirling and more.

The program will feature live musical performances and viewer testimonials, plus archival material from iconic public television shows including Masterpiece, Austin City Limits, Great Performances and Sesame Street.

The telethon also will include three special performances from the Nashville PBS studios featuring Kathy Mattea, Sierra Hull, Molly Tuttle and Ketch Secor.

Following the broadcast, the telethon will be available on the free PBS App from Nov. 27-Dec. 24, 2025.

“This Telethon is going to be a giant lovefest celebrating Public Television. We will feature great music, some classic clips from viewers’ favorite PBS series and a few surprises,” commented PBS SoCal’s Executive Producer for the Telethon, Maura Daly Phinney. “Every contribution that viewers make will go to their local public television station and help them fill the gap created by the loss of our federal funding.”

Paula Kerger, president and CEO of PBS, informed station general managers in August that PBS planned to cut its budget by 21% as public media faces the loss of $1.1 billion in federal funding over the next two fiscal years. The overall pool of station dues will be reduced by $35 million, she said.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, set up by Congress in the 1960s to distribute federal funding grants, announced that it would be shutting down by the end of the year.

SZA Speaks on Environmental Disaster, Al, & Human Suffering: “My Government Doesn’t Give a F* If I Live or Die”

SZA is voicing her frustration with the state of the world — from politics and the environment to social issues — in a passionate message that quickly went viral.

In a lengthy post shared online, the Grammy-winning artist expressed deep concern over a wide range of global crises, from oil drilling in Alaska’s wildlife preserve and child marriage laws to mass layoffs affecting Black women and environmental collapse.

She highlighted topics including toxic waste dumping, the coral reef’s decline, and humanitarian crises in Sudan and the Congo, writing that people seem more focused on distractions than real issues.

“People starving and dying in Sudan + Congo but nobody cares cause they’re Black + everyone wants the new iPhone,” SZA wrote.

The “Kill Bill” singer also warned against AI misuse, mass pollution, and online propaganda, saying the constant cycle of negativity is mentally exhausting:

“I feel crazy tryna sell anything, drop anything, think anything, be anything but stressed the f*** out… but we persist I guess chile. Y’all okay? Imma get off the net lol.”

SZA’s candid message sparked wide discussion across social media, with many fans praising her for articulating the anxiety and disillusionment many people feel amid today’s chaos.
