Leicester’s Mattioli Arena plays host to the 15th edition of the Champion of Champions.

Sixteen tournament winners from the past year will take to the table at the non-ranking event over the next week in the hope of making it to Sunday’s final.

The competitors are split into four groups, with each group’s fixtures completed in a day and the group winners progressing to Friday and Saturday’s semi-finals.

Ronnie O’Sullivan may be the most decorated player in Champion of Champions history but there is no place for the Rocket at the 2025 event.

That’s not to say the tournament is lacking in stars, however, as Mark Williams returns to defend the 2024 title he won in Bolton 12 months ago, while the likes of Judd Trump, Kyren Wilson, Neil Robertson, and Zhao Xintong are also in action.

The good news for snooker fans is that the whole tournament will be available for free on TV and online.

RadioTimes.com brings you all the details about how to watch the Champion of Champions 2025.

When is the Champion of Champions 2025?

The Champion of Champions 2025 starts on Monday 10th November and runs until Sunday 16th November.

The final – best of 19 frames – will take place on the 16th.

  • Group 2: Monday 10th November
  • Group 3: Tuesday 11th November
  • Group 1: Wednesday 12th November
  • Group 4: Thursday 13th November
  • Semi-final 1: Friday 14th November
  • Semi-final 2: Saturday 15th November
  • Final: Sunday 16th November

Pete Davidson open to Saturday Night Live return

Pete Davidson is open to returning to the Saturday Night Live cast.

Pete Davidson is open to returning to Saturday Night Live

The 31-year-old star – who was just 20 years old when he joined the comedy sketch show in 2024 – left the programme in 2022, though he returned as a guest host the following year, but if showrunner Lorne Michaels asked him to make a comeback, he’d willingly agree.

Asked what he would do if Lorne asked him to return to the cast, he admitted he would and told People magazine: “I’d do anything for Lorne.

“I had a great time hosting last time, and anytime you get that call, it’s an honour and a privilege.

“It’s always relevant, it’s a hot show. People look forward to it, and the cast is great.

“I owe that guy my life. He jump-started everything. So I’d do anything for Lorne, and he knows that.”

The Bupkis actor recently admitted he wasn’t universally popular on the show and some co-stars found him “annoying”.

Speaking on The Breakfast Club, he shared: “You got to remember, everyone there did Second City, improv, worked so hard — so hard. I’m not saying I didn’t work hard, but I was only doing comedy for three, four years.

“And a lot of what people liked about me was, ‘Oh, this was a kid from Staten Island that’s just talking s***. So you gotta remember all of these people are 10, 15 years older than me and working so hard.”

Pete thinks that some of the his castmates’ frustrations stemmed from their relatively modest pay at Saturday Night Live.

The comedian explained: “At the time, you weren’t allowed to do stuff outside of the show that was a payday.

“It was like the Yankees — no beards. You gotta dress up to go to the afterparty and all this s***. So I think I did rub people the wrong way, and I think it was just annoying for the cast.”

Meanwhile, Pete recently revealed that Eddie Murphy inspired him to reduce his social circle.

The actor stars alongside Eddie, 64, in The Pickup, their new comedy movie, and Pete confessed to being inspired by his co-star.

Speaking to People, Pete joked: “I’ve been guilty of having 700 friends in the green room. People I just met or are just in the crew, and then I’m like, ‘Why did they not have my best interest in mind?'”

Pete observed that Eddie “moved” in a totally different way to himself, and the comedy star eventually decided to follow suit.

Pete said: “He has a really small crew, and it’s the same people for a really long time, and I think that’s really important to have an efficient career and just overall life in this business.

“You have to be able to trust who’s around you, and you got to be able to move a certain type of way.

“I’m not Eddie Murphy by any means, but especially when you’re at his level, you need to be able to trust everyone around you.”

How to live a long and healthier life? Here are seven things highlighted by Americans aged 65 and older

by jummy84 November 9, 2025
written by jummy84

What is the secret to longevity and a healthier life? The Pew Research Centre recently interviewed 2,582 Americans aged 65 and older to seek their advice on ageing. They underlined the importance of a nutritious diet, thoughtful financial decisions, and social activities for a balanced and long life.

Advice on ageing from Americans aged 65 and older

“Based on your own experiences, what advice would you give to younger people to help them prepare for getting older?” the Pew Research Centre asked the 2,582 Americans aged 65 and older whom they interviewed.

In a nutshell, the senior citizens emphasized seven themes: Health, finances, mindset/outlook on life, relationships, activities, work, and faith/religion.

Approximately half of older Americans (49 percent) gave health-related advice, such as maintaining a healthy diet, exercising frequently, and attending doctors’ appointments. Compared with elderly males, older women were more likely to give health advice (52 percent vs. 46 percent), per the study.

37 percent of the group stressed the importance of saving money and financial strategies. Approximately 25 percent of older Americans reported having a certain perspective on life, suggesting that younger people should live with thankfulness, enjoy life, and treasure every moment. This topic also included several general life lessons, such as staying loyal to oneself, being self-sufficient, and lending a hand to others.

Building a family and spending time with loved ones, as well as having good friends and a busy social life, were highlighted by 11 percent. And while 8 percent spoke about working hard, 7 percent offered advice related to religion. Another 8 percent said one should have hobbies, interests, and volunteer work.

Go for walks and eat healthy

Centenarians interviewed by CNBC highlighted the need for eating mostly plant-based diets of whole foods like fruits and vegetables. The importance of walking and exercising your body frequently for longevity was also noted by many healthy persons over 90.

“I try to walk every day, without excuse,” Malcom Idelson, 94, told CNBC in 2023. “I look forward to it. I’m often a little down and I say, ‘Let me get out and walk,’ and I feel so much better,” he added.

5 Albums I Can’t Live Without: Steven Kilbey of The Church

by jummy84 November 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Name  Steven John Fucking Kilbey

Best known for  Idiot savant (perhaps more of the former) behind Australian band The Church. A prolific renaissance bloke, knocking out records, paintings, poems, books, and now even comics. Still haven’t choreographed a ballet, but who knows?

Current city  Coogee Beach, Sydney, Australia 2034.

Really want to be in  Bali. Sitting on a deck chair, sipping pineapple juice and trying to forget about being on my phone answering questions like this! (wink emoji)

Excited about  The Church have a new album coming out soonish and I think it’s bloody amazing. Recorded in Austin, TX and it’s a double. Thinking that people are gonna love it and it’ll go to number one and all of that!

My current music collection has a lot of  Prog and glam and a bit of uncategorizable stuff.

And a little bit of  No country or western.

Preferred format  Sadly, I prefer streaming, not because it sounds good but because it’s just easy (damn!).

5 Albums I Can’t Live Without:

1

Diamond Dogs, David Bowie

I love it inexorably even though it’s now 51 years old. It still sounds futuristic. I love the cover. I love “Sweet Thing.” It’s the ultimate Bowie song wherein he delivers on everything he ever implied before. I love his singing and guitar playing and his Mellotron and I love Mike Garson’s theatrical piano flourishes. I love the lyrics. All the songs on this album are right up my alley (except maybe “Rebel Rebel,” which I probably skip now due to overexposure). The last track is brilliant too, showing Bowie always ahead of the pack.

2

Any Album By, Sigur Ros

I love all Sigur Ros. I love the idea of the singing in a non-language. I love the way they’ve tossed all the usual rock clichés out the window and just ebb and flow with the spirit. The most original rock band ever. Real teenage symphonies to God!

3

T. Rex, T. Rex

This album came out in 1970 and it slayed me. It’s rock. It’s pastoral. It’s folk. It’s English whimsy. It’s Tolkien and Lewis. It’s cosmic. It’s fey. It’s studly. It’s still unbelievably new after all these years!

4

Systems of Romance, Ultravox

Underrated and misunderstood in its day. It still is the sound of the future. Produced by Conny Plank in Germany, it has krautrock wallop. The lyrics are brilliant and John Foxx is a lesson in detachment and modernity. The bass sounds are huge and fat! It’s still a record I listen to a real lot!

5

Together Alone, Crowded House

It has so many beautiful songs on it that are all the last word in lyrical and musical prowess in songwriting terms. A true masterpiece that stands up well after all this time.

Sheffield Wednesday v Norwich City Championship TV channel, live stream, kick-off time

by jummy84 November 5, 2025
written by jummy84

A sell-out is expected at Hillsborough on Wednesday evening as the Championship’s two bottom clubs – Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City – face off.

The midweek clash is the Owls’ first home game since the club’s administration took control out of the hands of problematic owner Dejphon Chansiri and fans have responded to calls to get the ground bouncing.

Wednesday earned a hard-fought draw away at West Brom on Saturday, snapping their losing streak at four games, and will view Norwich’s visit as a chance to claim their second Championship win of the season.

The Canaries have lost six on the bounce to drop to 23rd in the table as the dismal start to Liam Manning’s tenure has continued.

Manning appears to retain the support of the club chiefs but that could change if their struggles coninue in the Steel City.

RadioTimes.com has rounded up everything you need to know about how to watch Sheffield Wednesday v Norwich City on TV and online.
