Grammys 2026 Nominations Revealed: See the Complete List

by jummy84 November 7, 2025
written by jummy84

Nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards have been revealed, with Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff, Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, SZA, Turnstile, Tyler, the Creator, Doechii, and Hayley Williams leading the way.

Kendrick Lamar continued his massive year, leading all contenders with a total of seven nominations. GNX is up for Album of the Year, while “luther,” his collaboration with SZA, is nominated for Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Lamar previously claimed the prizes for Song and Record of the Year at the 2025 Grammys for his Drake diss track “Not Like Us.”

Like Lamar, Bad Bunny is also nominated for Album, Song, and Record of the Year at the 2026 Grammys, thanks to his latest project, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, and its standout single, “DTMF.”

Other Album of the Year contenders include Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend, Clipse’s Let God Sort Em Out, Tyler, the Creator’s CHROMAKOPIA, and Lady Gaga’s Mayhem.

Alongside “luther” and “DTMF,” other notable Song of the Year nominees include “Golden,” the breakout smash by Huntr/x from Netflix’s K-Pop Demon Hunters, and “APT.”,  ROSÉ’s blockbuster collaboration with Bruno Mars. Rounding out the category are Billie Eilish’s “Wildflower,” Doechii’s “Anxiety,” Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra,” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild.”

With the exception of “Golden,” many of those same names are also up for Record of the Year. In place of “Golden,” Chappell Roan’s “The Subway” will also vie for Grammy gold in the category.

The nominees for Artist of the Year are as eclectic as ever, including names like KATSEYE, The Marías, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, Addison Rae, sombr, Leon Thomas, and Alex Warren.

Hayley Williams earned four Grammy nominations. Her recent solo album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party is nominated for Best Alternative Music Album, while her songs “Parachute” and “Mirtazapine” are up for Best Alternative Music Performance and Best Rock Performance, respectively. Additionally, “Glum” received a nomination for Best Rock Song.

Competing against Williams in the Alternative categories are The Cure, who received their first Grammy nominations in more than two decades. Robert Smith and co. earned a nod in the Alternative Music Album category thanks to their comeback album Songs of a Lost World, while their song “Alone” is a finalist for Alternative Music Performance.

Other finalists in the Alternative Music Album category include Bon Iver for SABLE, fABLE, Wet Leg for moisturizer, and, perhaps most curiously, Tyler, the Creator for DON’T TAP THE GLASS.

On the Best Rock Album front, nominees include Deftones’ private music, Turnstile’s NEVER ENOUGH, HAIM’s i quit, Linkin Park’s From Zero, and Yungbud’s Idols. Meanwhile, Best Metal Performance nominees feature names like Dream Theater, Ghost, Sleep Token, Spiritbox, and Turnstile.

Speaking of Turnstile, with a total of five nominations in 2026, they’re the first band to be nominated across Rock, Alternative, and Metal categories in a single year.

Now in its 68th year, the Grammys recognize the best albums, songs, and music released between the eligibility period (August 31st, 2024, to August 30th, 2025). If you’re wondering, Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl was not released within the window of eligibility.

The 2026 Grammy Awards will take place on February 1st, 2026 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The event will be aired live on CBS and Paramount+.

Ahead of the 2026 Grammys, the Recording Academy has announced a few rule changes and introduced new categories. Most notably, artists who previously appeared on an Album of the Year-nominated record can now be considered for Best New Artist, provided their contributions amounted to 20 percent or less of that album. Two new categories have also been added: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover, bringing the total number of Grammy categories to 95. Additionally, Best Country Album has been renamed Best Contemporary Country Album, while Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package has been merged back into the Best Recording Package category.

Also of note, the 2026 Grammy ballots will be presented in a randomized order for the first time, rather than alphabetically. According to Recording Academy Chief Awards and Global Industry Officer Ruby Marchand, the update “brings our process in line with standard voting best practices … and further ensures the process is fair and equitable for all entries.” The move is widely seen as a way to encourage voters to engage with the entire ballot, rather than defaulting to familiar names or artists appearing first alphabetically, helping to level the playing field across all contenders.

Robert Cawsey Talks Comedy-Horror ‘Don’t Even Go There’ – Brit List 2025

by jummy84 November 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Deadline has partnered with The Brit List to profile some of the emerging writers who have made this year’s ranking of the best unproduced UK film and TV projects. Launched in 2007, The Brit List has previously featured projects including The King’s Speech and Responsible Child. In this piece, we profile Robert Cawsey, who has made the list with Don’t Even Go There.

EXCLUSIVE: A disastrous Easter weekend break in the Brecon Beacons mountain range in Wales was the catalyst for writer-actor-comedian Robert Cawsey’s screenplay Don’t Even Go There, which is the most popular project in this year’s Brit List with 24 recommendations.

“I was trying to write a horror-comedy, but it wasn’t going anywhere,” recounts Cawsey. “Then I went on a trip to the Brecon Beacons with my mum and dad. When we got there, the car broke down. We couldn’t get a phone signal, so we had to hitchhike.”

They made it to a house, where a party of family and friends from London were staying, but their woes did not end there.

“They sent the wrong breakdown van and then there was a landslide, which stopped people from coming in and out, we ended up in a local pub. After struggling with the other feature script, I was telling my friend this story and they were like, ‘That’s what you should be writing’,” continues Cawsey.

The director has also tapped into the real-life family tragedy of the death of his twin sister when he was young, giving the story an extra layer.

The resulting screenplay follows protagonist Will as he embarks on a hiking trip in Wales in a bid to reconnect with his estranged parents. Everything goes horribly wrong when an ancient monster is unleashed, seeking revenge on the locals for something they did many years previously.

“It’s essentially a tale about three members of a family, dealing with grief in different ways,” says Cawsey. “I love how horror can be used as a kind of metaphor for things that happen in life.”

Sources of inspiration include the work of Ari Aster and Yorgos Lanthimos as well as films such as The Babadook and Nicolas Roeg’s 1973 drama Don’t Look Now, starring Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland as a couple who travel to Venice following the accidental death of their daughter.

“I grew up in a small town, so I’m also drawn to those small-town stories like The Wicker Man,” he says, adding. ““I like humor in high stake situations, and I’ve also always been drawn to awkwardness and vulnerability of people desperately trying to connect and failing.”

Cawsey, who is represented by Curtis Brown, finished the screenplay over the summer and it is now out to producers.

“We’re waiting on a lot of reads,” he says. “It’s great to be on the Brit List… I’m excited.”

Cawsey grew up in the Welsh seaside resort of Penarth and moved to London in his late teens to study at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, followed by a stint at the comedy and clowning-focused Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris, the alumni of which include Emma Thompson, Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen.

“I was good at comedy. I was always cast in comedy roles and really wanted to explore that more. I also wanted to do some traveling and liked the romantic idea of going to study in Paris,” he explains.

Struggling to get enough work as an actor on his return, Cawsey started writing his own material, and also created a comedy double act with best friend Gabe Bisset-Smith, under the banner of Guilt and Shame.

In 2013, the duo performed at the same Edinburgh Festival Fringe venue, where Phoebe Waller-Bridge was unveiling Fleabag for the first time under the direction of longtime collaborator Vicky Jones.

They became close friends, with Cawsey starting a podcast with Bisset-Smith and Jones, who also supported his first solo comedy theater show.

“After having worked with her on that, Phoebe and Vicky then asked I wanted to be in the writers’ room for their upcoming HBO show Run and I obviously said yes. That was my first professional writing job. That was in 2020 and was how it all started,” he says.

From there, he won a commission to work with a well-known but undisclosed actor on a sci-fi comedy, being developed by J.J. Abrams’ company Bad Robot and Warner Bros. The project never got off the ground, but the experience gave Cawsey a taste of L.A., albeit during the Covid pandemic.

“It was quite a strange time… there were lots of rules in L.A. about people being in offices. So, me and the actor I was writing this project with were the only people in the whole of Bad Robot at the time. It was quite surreal,” he recalls.

Prior to getting his first writing room break on Run, Cawsey wrote and starred in the webseries Right Now about a gay hook-ups, again inspired by his own experiences.

“Basically, I came out of the closet a bit late and had a sexual awakening later in life. I dived into the world of hookups, which is something I’d not done before, and ended up with so much material,” recounts Cawsey, who collaborated with director friend Andy Hui on the show made which played on YouTube.

“We wanted it to look as high-end and filmic as possible. We treated every episode like a short film. It was all consuming. We spent a year on it and I’d love to revisit it someday,’ he adds.

As the screenplay for Don’t Even Go There looks producer partners, Cawsey has a number of other projects in development including a gangster comedy series set in Wales, and is also writing second feature set in a fictitious town where the inhabitants are only allowed to have sex one day of the year.

“I’m really drawn to dystopian or alternative worlds,” says Cawsey. “As a young queer kid, I spent so much time in fantasy worlds in my head, and still probably do, and I’m interested in work that reframes our ingrained behaviors towards sex and relationships.”

Slamdance 2025 Screenplay Competition Winners List

by jummy84 October 29, 2025
written by jummy84

Returning for their festival’s 32nd edition from February 19-25, 2026, the bold voices behind Slamdance continue to tell a cutting-edge story by honoring breakout talents who could redefine the film and TV business, too. On Tuesday night in Los Angeles (the event’s new home after leaving Park City, Utah and Sundance behind last year), the 2025 Slamdance screenwriting competition announced its winners at an awards ceremony downtown — hosted by AGBO, the indie studio founded by Anthony and Joe Russo.

In 2025, the contest celebrated writers across five categories: feature film, horror/thriller, TV pilot, short film, and screenplay mentorship. Slamdance awarded more than $18,000 in prizes and creative resources to the talented winners who emerged from a competitive pool of more than 4,200 submissions. A TV pilot about motherhood and healthcare following a woman working in a rural clinic, “The Badlands Woman’s Clinic” by Brennan Cusack took home the $10,000 grand prize.

Sinners

“We read thousands of stories this year, and ‘Badlands Woman’s Clinic’ didn’t just stand out — it recalibrated the room,” said festival director Taylor Miller in a press release. “It’s the kind of writing that changes how you think about what television can hold. At a time when storytelling is engineered to please algorithms, this pilot refuses the formula.”

Reflecting on the win, Cusack continued, “In a country where millions live in ‘maternity care deserts,’ ‘The Badlands Clinic’ celebrates the women who have worked together to create oases. This story explores the transformational power of choice in women’s lives. Here in rural America, choice is not just a headline. It is power, identity, dignity, community, and survival.”

First place winners in the other four categories took home $2,000 each, as well as one-year memberships to Roadmap Writers (an educational digital platform for screenwriting) and complimentary legal services from Pessah Law Group — an official fest sponsor and Slamdance’s own legal counsel. Awarded to “The Gift of Rain” by Renn Tan, the Best Feature winner will also get script coverage from Sony Pictures Classics.

Screenwriter Erick Torres was given this year’s Slamdance Screenplay Mentorship Award for “Cucuy,” the story of a fighting dog who escapes the pits to pursue redemption. The festival will collaborate with Torres to turn that captivating idea into an even better script through one-on-one coaching sessions.

“Cucuy is a story of endurance, trauma, second chances, and the power of love,” said festival manager Anna Lee Lawson in the same release. “Torres demonstrates remarkable talent through his emotional depth, creativity, and ability to tell a powerful story without relying on dialogue. We see tremendous potential here and look forward to working with Erick.”

Read on for the complete list of the 2025 Slamdance screenplay competition winners.

The Outer Worlds 2 main missions: Full list of chapters

by jummy84 October 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Obsidian is launching The Outer Worlds 2 this week, and you may already be playing it if you forked out for early access.

Once you start working your way through the game, it’s only natural to wonder how many main missions there are. You’ll want to know if you’re nearing the end, after all!

This is a game with plenty of side content, and a decent length main story. So, are you ready to see the list? Beware, there are some very vague spoilers in the mission names.

So, let’s get to it. Here’s every you need to know about The Outer Worlds 2 main missions.

How many main missions are in The Outer Worlds 2?

There are eight main missions in The Outer Worlds 2.

It’s worth noting that each of these missions is a multi-stage quest that will send you around the houses for a bit. There is a fair amount of leg work before you reach the important story beats.

Each planet that you visit also has a lot of side content and optional asides, some of which will feed back into the main story in ways both big and small. Don’t feel like you always have to rush towards the next main objective!

If you want to know the names of all eight missions, so you can see which one you’re in right now, keep on reading.

Full list of The Outer Worlds 2 main missions

The full list of The Outer Worlds 2 main missions looks like this:

  1. A Cause Worth Killing For
  2. Recalling the Score
  3. The Saboteur of Paradise
  4. On the Trail of the Traitor
  5. Fiends in High Places
  6. An Instrument to Unfold Space & Time
  7. A Complication with the Computronic Cerebrum
  8. Sins of the Past on the Precipice of the Future

Note: After Fiends in High Places, you can tackle the following two quests in either order.

We opted to do An Instrument to Unfold Space & Time first, but you can opt to tackle A Complication with the Computronic Cerebrum at that point if you’d prefer.

All roads lead to the same final mission, though, where many of your choices along the way will come to fruition.

In our four-star review of The Outer Worlds 2, we called it “a game that begs to be played”.

We added: “Its jovial tone seeps through its every pore, and its quirky characters will literally beckon you towards the next fun idea. And the game will reward you for exploring its nooks and crannies, either with some cool loot or a fun little story beat.

“That being said, it’s worth noting that some very important plot moments happen in the blink of an eye and you might not even realise that you’ve made an important choice until after you’ve seen the horrific consequences of it.

“The game could do a little more to signpost its big turning points, and its missable content, as it doesn’t hesitate to throw pop-ups at you for other things (the new flaws system, for example, which is a fun little addition).”

So, as you work your way through the main missions, remember to stay alert to what’s going on. Read the computers, listen to your companions, and try not to fudge up any important moments. Good luck!

Brooklyn Horror Film Festival 2025 — Winners List

Are rats cute, creepy, or a matter of genre? That’s the sort of debate you have at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival — a warm-and-whacky annual event in New York City that expanded rapidly for its 10th edition.

Co-founded by creative director Justin Timms, this gonzo celebration started a decade ago as a quaint movie club in the backroom of a bar. Now, it’s a ten-day affair held at several different venues with an estimated 5,000 guests in attendance for 2025. That’s a 20 percent increase since last year and proof that buzz for Brooklyn Horror is building scary well.

“Rats, much like horror, are deeply misunderstood,” said Timms, who champions plenty of weird art you could describe that way. This year, Brooklyn Horror gave top accolades to Mickey Reece’s “Every Heavy Thing,” Emilio Portes’ “Don’t Leave the Kids Alone,” and “Last Call,” a short film directed by Winnie Cheung. Read the exclusive Brooklyn Horror Film Festival winners announcement below.

David Zaslav and Steven Spielberg at the premiere of 'The Color Purple' held at The Academy Museum on December 6, 2023 in Los Angeles, California.

“There really wasn’t a festival like this in New York,” said Timms. “There’s the New York City Horror Film Festival, but they show more strictly defined horror movies — and Scary Movies at Lincoln Center is back, but that’s a much smaller program. So, there are other horror festivals, but they’re just not programming all of the kinds of films that we’re interested in.”

Brooklyn Horror recruited IndieWire to its panel of expert judges this year. That group — which also included voices from prominent genre brands like Vinegar Syndrome, Fangoria, MPI Media, Alter, and more — toasted not just the scariest cinema but the most out-there media of all kinds. That’s important to Joseph Hernandez, the senior programmer and director of community development who has been working alongside Timms since the festival’s inception.

“The mainstream perception of horror goes back to the ‘80s to that explosion of slasher sequels, and that’s what really helped form the image of what a horror movie is today,” Hernandez said. “Ever since then, true horror fans have been trying to explain that the genre world is so much more than that.”

The three categories in competition at Brooklyn Horror 2025 included the annual shorts contest; the Dark Matter lineup, for features grounded in serious subject matter; and the Head Trip section, for features that expand your mind. The winners from the 10th-anniversary year demonstrate just how far you can stretch the definition of an award-worthy film — in the best way.

“What worries me most is that people will stop taking big swings,” said publicist Justin Cook, when asked about his hopes and fears for the genre landscape going forward. Cook just joined Brooklyn Horror Film Festival a few years ago, but he knows what’s cutting-edge. “There should always be movies out there that take big swings. Some work for me personally. Some do not. But I will always respect a big swing.”

Asked about the best movie debate he’s had at Brooklyn Horror so far, Cook hauled off and asserted a hot take he heard earlier this week: Rob Zombie’s “Halloween” is… more entertaining than John Carpenter’s original?! Programmer Tori Potenza is a recent addition to the team too, and it’s those kinds of moments that transformed them from a visiting film critic to a yearly organizer hungry for more.

“The community is the thing that made me love this festival so much,” said Potenza, noting that many of the most important conversations in genre veer toward Dark Matter. “When you look at the history of horror, there’s so much that’s either in the subtext or the actual text that’s about marginalized communities. We are representing that history by honoring people who didn’t always have the chance to be behind the camera and tell their own stories.”

“Horror is a very wide prism that can be so many things and we’re just constantly trying to reflect that in our program every year,” agreed Hernandez. “We are a genre film festival and we’re very proud of our ongoing mission to continue to stretch that definition.”

When Brooklyn Horror first got started, the infamous pizza rat video from 2015 had just gone viral. The rodent has served as the fest’s unofficial mascot ever since, but it took a decade for Timms to finally stop by a Spirit Halloween and pick up the animatronic that’s stealing the spotlight in all of this year’s photos. The rat is called Pepperoni and his agent “demands he be credited by name,” said Cook.

But to quote the truest internet meme I’ve read in recent memory, “The worst person you know is somewhere saying, ‘I’m passionate about uplifting community.’” Not so at Brooklyn Horror, where Timms avoids taking credit and instead heaps praise on his organizers and volunteers… while waxing poetic on the redemptive quality of rats. Popping sponsored Gushers in red wine (an off-the-menu secret you found here first!), the creative director shared his favorite conversation from this year’s Brooklyn Horror as well.

Recalling a chat he had with Leviathan Award winner Ernest Dickerson, who got distracted on his way to the bathroom during a screening, Timms said, “He forgot he was waiting, and completely out of the blue, he wanted to tell me about this Japanese horror movie he saw on YouTube. He said it’s so good I need to watch it. So, you know I will.”

Read on for all the winners (and some of their reactions!) at the 10th Brooklyn Horror Film Festival.

The Leviathan Award

Brooklyn Horror’s first and only tribute award, was created in 2023 to honor the luminaries of horror and acknowledge their monstrous contributions to the genre.

The 2025 Leviathan Award goes to the multitalented Ernest Dickerson, whose prolific career as a cinematographer and director has given horror fans a surplus of greatness on screens both big and small. With his trailblazing run of feature films and TV show episodes dating back to the 1980s and spanning to the present day, Ernest Dickerson has helped to pave the way for the likes of Jordan Peele and Nia DaCosta by showing that horror cinema knows no color lines nor cultural barriers.

Pokémon Legends Z-A Mystery Gift Codes: Full list and how to redeem

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Pokémon Legends Z-A is finally here, and with it, a whole host of new Mystery Gift Codes, and we’ve got the full list of goodies and how to redeem them!

Though the Mystery Gift codes net you some nice rewards, you won’t be able to get items such as the Master Ball, which you can unlock after completing an early mission in the main story.

Nevertheless, Mystery Gifts will help you work your way to catching all Pokémon in the Legends Z-A Pokédex, which features Legendaries, fearsome Mega Evolutions and humble starters.

But, as for those Mystery Gift codes, read on to see what you can unlock and how!

How to redeem Pokémon Legends Z-A Mystery Gift Codes

Redeeming codes is thankfully simple, and you may not even need a code at all because you can regularly claim Mystery Gifts via the internet.

To claim any of these codes, you’ll need to play the game until you speak to Mable in the mission ‘A New Life in Lumiose City’.

Afterwards, open the in-game menu and select ‘Link Play’ at the bottom, then ‘Mystery Gift’.

Here, you can instantly claim any current Mystery Gifts from the Internet, and input your specific codes under the ‘Get with Code/Password’ option.

All Pokémon Legends Z-A Mystery Gift codes

Before we begin, it’s worth noting that you’ll not only need to be online for redemption, but you’ll also need to buy a certain version of the game or its DLC for some of these goodies to be available.

Expect more generic codes to arrive in the coming weeks and months.

For now, these are the three ways you can get something from the Mystery Gift codes system:

  • Click ‘Get via Internet’ in the Mystery Gift menu – you’ll get Ralts, holding the Gardevoirite stone
  • Purchase the game’s digital version — you’ll get a unique code to get 100 free Poke Balls
  • Buy the Mega Dimension DLC — you’ll get a unique code for 3 Fast Balls, 3 Heavy Balls, 3 Level Balls and 3 Lure Balls

Note: if you already have the Gardevoirite stone, you won’t get a second one for doing this.
