And here are the changes to the cast coming soon…

DEPARTING

Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner)

Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) will be taking time out from Walford. BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron

When is Stacey Slater leaving? 2025.

Lacey Turner has been confirmed to be leaving EastEnders later this year.

The fan-favourite actress is set to take a break from the soap this year to focus on life outside the show, having made her debut as Stacey Slater in 2004.

Lacey told The Sun: “It’s time for myself and Stacey to take a rest and who knows what Stacey will get up to in her time away? Knowing Stacey, it will never be boring.”

However, fans can expect Stacey to return…

An EastEnders spokeswoman told the paper: “We can confirm that Lacey will be off-screen later this year, but there is plenty of more drama to come beforehand and we will look forward to planning Stacey’s return when Lacey decides the time is right.”

RadioTimes.com has reached out to the BBC for additional comment on this story.

How will Stacey wave goodbye to Walford?

Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier)

Bobby Brazier as Freddie Slater

When is Freddie Slater leaving? 2025.

Actor Bobby Brazier has quit his role as Freddie Slater after three years on the soap.

Brazier’s departure was first reported in The Sun, with an EastEnders spokesperson confirming the news.

They told the publication: “We can confirm that Bobby Brazier will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish him all the best for the future.”

Since he started on the soap, Brazier’s storylines have included Freddie’s ADHD diagnosis, an upsetting reunion with his biological father Graham Foster, and almost killing Stacey’s stalker Theo Hawthorne when defending his cousin.

Anna Knight (Molly Rainford)

Molly Rainford as Anna Knight in a white coat in a crowd looking to her right in EastEnders.

Will Anna Knight (Molly Rainfrod) get a happy ending? BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron

When is Anna Knight leaving? 2025.

Despite having been absent in Walford of late, Anna Knight will be back in the soap soon – but not for long.

The BBC One soap has confirmed that Molly Rainford will be leaving the role of Anna as the character leaves Walford later this year.

“We can confirm that Molly Rainford will be leaving EastEnders later this year, and we wish her all the best for the future,” the BBC told RadioTimes.com in a statement.

We have no further details on her exit, but given that Freddie is also off soon, could the pair romantically reconcile and leave together?

Who is joining EastEnders?

At present, no new cast members have been confirmed or reported for EastEnders.

RETURNING

Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ)

When is Stuart Highway returning? Autumn 2025.

It has now been confirmed that Ricky Champ will reprise his role as Stuart Highway for a short stint in the Autumn.

The character was written out of the soap in 2022 as Stuart left Walford for a new life with wife Rainie and their baby away from the Square.

Now Stuart will return to join his younger brother Callum and say goodbye to his nasty father, Jonno Highway.

Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden)

Max Bowden as Ben Mitchell with facial hair and in a suit with black tie for EastEnders.

Max Bowden reprises his role as Ben Mitchell as the character is on day release. BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron

When is Ben Mitchell returning? Autumn 2025.

Max Bowden is reprising his role as Ben Mitchell for a guest stint in EastEnders later this year, it has been confirmed.

The character was seen exiting the BBC One soap in early 2024 after the decision was made to write him out.

Previously, The Sun reported that new executive producer Ben Wadey has decided to bring Bowden back for a short stint, with the possibility that it could lead to a permanent return.

A source told the paper: “Ben had a list of characters he wanted to bring back and Ben Mitchell was one. It’s taken a little while to sort out but Max will be back filming on Albert Square later this year.”

Ben Mitchell is currently in prison for credit card fraud in the US, but his husband Callum Highway (Tony Clay), daughter Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown), dad Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), and mum Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) all remain in Walford.

Of course, a complication has arisen in Ben’s absence: namely, husband Callum’s affair with their friend Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff).

Now, Ben returns on release to support Callum at the funeral of father-in-law Jonno Highway – will Ben return to the US with his marriage in tatters?

Howard Stern pranks listeners, fakes he’s leaving SiriusXM — he’s not – National

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Howard Stern gave listeners a shock on Monday morning when Andy Cohen took over his timeslot and claimed the channel was now called “Andy 100.”

The stunt came after weeks of promos that promised a big reveal, following swirling speculation that Stern’s show would be cancelled. “The tabloids have spoken: Howard Stern fired, cancelled,” one promo video said. “Is it really bye-bye Booey?”

“I know that you’re expecting a big announcement from Howard, and this is not how things were meant to go,” Cohen, 57, said on-air Monday morning. “There’s been a lot of talk about what’s going to happen with Howard’s deal. Is he fired? I don’t know how much I’m allowed to say, except that he’s not here and I am.”

“Howard was supposed to start the show today, and this was supposed to be something of a cleaner hand-off. There is nothing clean about it. Here we are. I’m kind of winging it,” Cohen continued. “I can’t overstate what Howard has meant to this company and what he did for SiriusXM. He walked so that we could run. I can’t possibly fill his void.”

The Real Housewives executive producer went on to say that he was confident that Stern would land a position on another platform soon, before the popular radio host joined him on air and thanked him for going along with the prank.

Stern, 71, took over and confirmed that he would be continuing to work with SiriusXM after rumours began that he hadn’t been renewed.

“I was just getting so f—ing annoyed with everyone writing me, asking me if I was OK because I’d been fired,” Stern began.

“I’m minding my own business, enjoying my summer vacation. [A reporter] says that I’ve been fired for being too woke. In light of the Stephen Colbert firing — because the word on Stephen was that it was all part of this merger, and they fired Stephen because he’s too woke — the story then became ‘Howard Stern is fired because he’s too woke,’” Stern said Monday. “What pisses me off is that now I can’t leave. I’ve been thinking about retiring. Now I can’t.”

“Everything you’ve been reading in the paper about me or Robin [Quivers] is completely false,” Stern added.

After confirming his return to the show on Monday, Stern also hinted that “one of the positive things” about the situation was hearing other companies’ interest in The Howard Stern Show.

“I’m very happy at Sirius,” Stern said before praising SiriusXM CEO Jennifer Witz.

Witz had previously released her own statement about Stern, saying, “I think he’s been core to our platform for over 20 years, so I’m confident we’ll get to the right place.”

Speculation grew after Stern postponed his return from a summer break last week. His show told listeners that he would address the topic of his SiriusXM deal when he returned on Sept. 2, but he postponed the show’s return until Sept. 8.

Stern did not share if he had signed a new contract with SiriusXM as his current deal expires at the end of 2025.

“Here’s the truth: SiriusXM and my team have been talking about how we go forward in the future. They’ve approached me, they’ve sat down with me like they normally do, and they’re fantastic,” Stern shared.

Stern joining what was then Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. in 2006 made him one of the highest-paid personalities in broadcasting and was a game changer for both the company and the nascent satellite radio industry.

Stern extended his contract with SiriusXM twice before, in 2010 and again in 2020, with a five-year, US$500-million deal, Forbes reported.

“He’s been with me and the company going on two decades, and so he’s pretty happy, but he’s also able, like many great artists, to stop whenever he wants,” SiriusXM president and chief content officer Scott Greenstein told The Hollywood Reporter in 2024. “Nobody will ever replace them. We would never try to replace them.”

Frankie Muniz on Leaving Hollywood

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

While it’s been a minute since the Desperate Housewives star lived on Wisteria Lane, she’s since found a new address IRL.

“I had my whole adult life here,” Eva told Marie Claire in November 2024 about leaving Los Angeles. “But even before [the pandemic], it was changing. The vibe was different. And then Covid happened, and it pushed it over the edge. Whether it’s the homelessness or the taxes, not that I want to s–t on California—it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now.”

So for the past few years, the actress, her husband José Bastón and their son Santiago have split their time between Mexico and Spain.

“I’m privileged,” she continued. “I get to escape and go somewhere. Most Americans aren’t so lucky. They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.”

However, Eva noted her move wasn’t because of President Trump’s re-election.

“I didn’t leave because of the political environment,” the Flamin’ Hot director said on The View: Behind the Table podcast in November 2024. “I left because my work took me there since Land of Women—shooting six months in Catalonia, then four months in Mexico for Searching for Mexico, then back to Spain. Now I’ve been there for years. So I just don’t like that it’s politicized.”

Since moving, Eva has continued to stay busy, with recent projects including her roles in Only Murders in the Building and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip.

Karen Huger Seen Leaving Prison After Early Release For DUI

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Roommates, hold ya wigs cause the Grande Dame is back! New videos show Karen Huger leaving a Maryland prison six months early. She was sentenced to two years in prison, with one year suspended for multiple DUI-related convictions. She hasn’t spoken out since her release early Tuesday morning, but her release footage shows her waving at a few media cameras waiting outside.

Karen Huger Spotted Leaving Prison

According to TMZ, Karen Huger left the Montgomery County Detention Center in Maryland at 10 a.m. ET. Video footage from 7NewsDC journalist Jade Lawson shows Karen wearing a white or cream-colored, long-sleeved top. She briefly stuck her hand out the window to wave from the black truck. However, the vehicle kept pushing forward and didn’t pause for commentary from the ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ star.

Legally, What’s Next For Karen?

In addition to her two-year sentence, Karen Huger had to pay $2,900 in fines. Now that she’s released, she’s banned from driving for the next year and has to visit a parole officer for the next five. The judge remanded her into custody immediately after the sentencing hearing in February.

As previously reported, she picked up the DUI charges after becoming intoxicated, slamming into a road median with her vehicle, striking a crosswalk sign at an intersection, and then a parking sign before finally pulling over. Last December, bodycam footage surfaced of Karen Huger the night of the March 2024 incident. Her husband, Ray, was present and also engaging with the police.

Will The ‘RHOP’ Women Welcome Her Back?

Her release comes just in time for her to catch (and possibly feature in???) the tenth season of the Bravo series, which airs on October 5. Like Karen, the network hasn’t revealed its plans for Huger regarding her OG slot in ‘RHOP.’ If she’s not seen in S10, the Grande Dame could get a second shot by popping out at the reunion. But, for now, only time seems to be willing to tell!

In an episode aired in March–after she was already locked up–Karen admitted to not recognizing herself when she had to watch the bodycam footage in court. “I didn’t know her,” Huger said about herself while talking to her husband, Ray, in the episode.

If and when she returns, will the ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ ladies welcome her back with open arms? She’s got Gizelle Bryant, for one, on her side! The other OG ‘RHOP’ star expressed “concern for [Karen’s] safety” on the same day Huger got sentenced. However, by April, Bryant was not worried at all! She assured the fans that Huger is doing just fine, which she learned after talking to someone close to the star.

“From what I understand, they love her up in where she is right now. They absolutely love her. They are loving the Grande Dame! And you know she’s running that thing,” Gizelle said.

Why Are Cast Members Leaving 'SNL'? The Reasons for Departures

Why Are Cast Members Leaving ‘SNL’ Before Season 51? Their Departures – Hollywood Life

Two months before its season 51 premiere, Saturday Night Live lost multiple cast members, including one long-running star. In just one week, the cast departures shocked fans as many wondered why these comedians were leaving SNL.

Below, Hollywood Life is breaking down everything we know so far about the reasons behind the SNL cast departures and who’s leaving.

Is SNL Ending?

No, SNL is not ending before its 51st season. The new season premieres on October 4, 2025.

Which Cast Members Are Leaving SNL?

The following comedians are leaving SNL before season 51:

Heidi is the only one who has yet to publicly comment on her SNL exit. She was with the sketch comedy series for eight seasons.

Why Is the Cast Leaving SNL? Departure Reasons

Devon was the first to confirm his departure from SNL in an Instagram carousel post, which featured a screenshot from a Text Edit note. The message read, in part, “Me and the show did three years together, and sometimes, it was really cool. Sometimes, it was toxic as hell. But we did what we made the most of what it was, even amidst all of the dysfunction. We made a f**ked up lil family.”

Devon labeled his note,  “wait..did he quit or did he get fired?” leaving the reason behind his exit up in the air. However, Emil revealed in his own statement that he was told he would not return for season 51, implying that he and the others may have been fired.

“I won’t be returning to SNL next year,” Emil confirmed in his Instagram statement. “It was a gut punch of a call to get, but I’m so grateful for my time there.”

Michael also expressed that his release from the show was a bummer for him. He wrote in an Instagram carousel, “Will not be returning for a 4th season at SNL. Wish I was, but so it goes. It was the best three years of my life so far. I feel nothing but gratitude for the experience and everyone there. Lorne, you gave me the greatest job in the world and changed my life. You even put my mom on TV. Thank you doesnt begin to cover it, but thank you. I’ll miss it all, but I’ll miss the friends I made and seeing them everyday the most.”

Despite the heartbreaking news, it’s actually normal for SNL to cycle through different comedians. After almost each season, the show hires new faces once veterans leave.

Who Is in the SNL Season 51 Cast?

Only James Austin Johnson was confirmed to be returning for season 51 by Lorne Michaels, himself. The rest of the cast presumably still features the following names who were in season 50:

Heidi Gardner has exited Saturday Night Live after eight seasons on the sketch comedy series. The actress’ departure came in August 2025 amid a round of other cast members exits, and Heidi has yet to comment on the situation at the time of publication.

After eight years on SNL, Heidi was the longest-running female cast member of that cast. So, since her time on the show has come to an end, here’s five things you must know about the Leo star here.

Like many other SNL alums, Heidi was a member of L.A.’s The Groundlings improv troupe

Heidi was well prepared for any improvisational situations on live TV, as she was a member of the same comedy school and theater that produced other SNL alums like Will Ferrell, Kristin Wiig, Maya Rudolph.

Saturday Night Live is Heidi’s biggest break yet

She caught the attention of the show big wigs as part of the  New Faces Characters showcase at Montreal’s Just For Laughs comedy festival in July. According to her mom Erny Huelke‘s Facebook account, she auditioned for SNL three weeks ago and got hired by the show’s creator and executive producer. “Lorne Micheals, called her and told her she was hilarious, her sketches were awesome and she will thrive on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE!!!!” she wrote.

Heidi’s primary professional background has been in voice work

Heidi was the voice behind Cooch/Gloria on the Sony Crackle online show SuperMansion. Heidi also voiced Yasmin in the 2015 animated TV  show Bratz.

Heidi is a sports megafan

She hails from Kansas City, Missouri, and according to her Groundlings bio, is a huge fan of her hometown’s professional baseball and football teams, the KC Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs. Since the city doesn’t have an NBA franchise, her heart lies with LeBron James and wherever he’s playing, which right now is with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Heidi is a loving pet owner

She owns three cats named Tweaky, Cubby Bear and  Marshall. They are her absolute darlings and she loves to post pics of the critters on her Instagram account.

Funkmaster Flex Allegedly NOT Leaving Hot 97, Sources Say He’s Moving Time Slots

Looks like the news of Funkmaster Flex’s departure from Hot 97 isn’t exactly what it seemed.

According to TMZ, sources claim the iconic DJ’s “end of an era” post is actually about him moving from his 7 PM time slot to a new 5 PM–10 PM broadcast on the station.

Panic erupted across social media after Flex announced that his final 7 PM show would air on September 1st, with fans, and celebs like 50 Cent and Jadakiss, expressing disappointment and confusion.

But sources now say Flex is simply shifting to an earlier slot, starting next week. The shakeup is part of a larger programming update at Hot 97, which includes new time slots for other radio hosts.

The report notes that Nessa Nitty (Colin Kaepernick’s wife) will move to the 1 PM–5 PM slot, DJ Drewski will now be on from 11 AM–1 PM, and DJ Camilo, who previously held the 4 PM–7 PM slot, will now be on from 4 PM–5 PM.

Are you glad to hear Funk Flex is staying on at Hot 97? ??

Which ‘SNL’ Cast Members Are Leaving? All Departures Before Season 51 – Hollywood Life

The Saturday Night Live cast is going through a major shakeup right before season 51 airs on October 4, 2025. All in one week, multiple stars were reported to be leaving the show, and viewers were particular shocked about one cast member’s departure. So, what’s going on at the NBC sketch comedy series, and who’s leaving SNL?

Below, Hollywood Life has rounded up the SNL cast departures, the fate of the show and more.

Is Saturday Night Live Canceled?

No, SNL has not been canceled and is still moving forward with its 51st season this fall.

Who Is Leaving SNL? All the Cast Departures

The following names are the cast members who are leaving SNL:

Devon’s departure was the first to make headlines, and he addressed it in a social media note. In his Instagram statement, the comedian alleged the environment in Studio 8H was “toxic” sometimes.

“Me and the show did three years together, and sometimes, it was really cool,” Devon began in his statement, which was a screenshot of a Text Edit note from a computer. “Sometimes, it was toxic as hell. But we did what we made the most of what it was, even amidst all of the dysfunction. We made a f**ked up lil family.”

Why Are These SNL Cast Members Leaving the Show?

No one from NBC nor the former SNL cast members have confirmed why they left the series. However, it’s normal for actors to come and go because the show introduces new faces every season. It’s also possible that some cast members were fired, though.

Devon’s Text Edit note was labeled, “wait..did he quit or did he get fired?” but it’s still unclear if he chose to leave SNL or if he was let go.

Emil also addressed his departure from SNL in a statement. The comedian revealed that he was called about his departure, so he may have been released from the show.

“I won’t be returning to SNL next year,” the comedian announced via Instagram. “It was a gut punch of a call to get, but I’m so grateful for my time there.”

Heidi has not addressed her shocking departure, but multiple outlets reported that she was leaving. The actress was with SNL for eight seasons and became the longest tenured female cast member.

Driver Charged After Leaving Crash To Make It To Work

A fatal hit-and-run in Florida has people doing double takes—not just because of what happened, but why it allegedly happened. Now, a young woman is facing major charges after a deadly crash. But it’s what she reportedly told investigators that has folks completely baffled. The suspect? Twenty-four-year-old Aliya Cruz, who deputies say hit a pedestrian… and then allegedly kept it pushing to get to work on time.

What Prompted The Investigation?

The tragic incident happened just before 4 a.m. on August 18 in Lakeland, Florida. Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting a woman lying in the middle of West Highland Street. When first responders arrived, they found 27-year-old Danielle Stilwell dead at the scene. And, found pieces of a damaged car scattered around her body. However, the driver was nowhere to be found.

And that’s when the investigation picked up speed. Detectives launched a full-scale effort to piece together what happened, starting with a broken fender liner found at the scene. It had a part number that allowed them to narrow down the make and model of the vehicle involved. From there, surveillance footage from a nearby Sunoco gas station showed a car matching that description making a U-turn just blocks from where the victim was found. According to authorities, the driver never stopped to assist. When deputies eventually located the vehicle, it was missing the exact parts left behind at the crash site. This led them directly to Aliya Cruz.

Aliya’s Side Of The Story

When confronted, Cruz allegedly admitted to hitting something in the road but said she wasn’t sure if it was a person. She claimed she was blinded by another vehicle’s high beams and didn’t see Stilwell lying in the road. Additionally, Aliya said she swerved into the grass to avoid hitting anyone, but wasn’t confident she cleared her. Instead of stopping to check, Cruz told police she kept driving because she “didn’t want to be late to work.”

But that’s not where the story ends. Investigators later confirmed Cruz clocked in on time for her 4 a.m. shift at a local warehouse. According to one of her supervisors, Cruz even admitted to him that she “might have killed someone,” and reportedly showed him damage to her car. Despite being urged to report the incident to authorities, she hesitated, allegedly responding, “I don’t really want to say anything” and “I know I swerved.”

What’s Next For Aliya Cruz?

Cruz was arrested days later and hit with a first-degree felony charge for leaving the scene of a crash involving death. She bonded out for $50,000 on August 24 and is now waiting for her day in court. The community has been weighing in heavy—and let’s just say, the streets are not feeling her apparent excuse.

Devon Walker Leaving ‘SNL’ After 3 Seasons

Saturday Night Live castmember Devon Walker is leaving the show after three seasons.

Walker announced his departure on social media Monday, writing in an Instagram post that “me and baby broke up.” He further wrote that “To me, jobs in this industry feel like a bunch of little marriages. Some of ‘em last for a long time, but most of them are fleeting. Permanent until they’re not. That’s the deal. You know what it is when you sign up.

“Me and the show did three years together, and sometimes it was really cool. Sometimes it was toxic as hell. But … we made the most of what it was, even amidst all the dysfunction. We made a fucked up lil family.”

Walker will likely not be the only change to the SNL cast as the show enters its 51st season on NBC. In an interview with Puck last week, executive producer Lorne Michaels said that some changes were likely, though he specified that James Austin Johnson would continue playing President Donald Trump on the show.

Walker joined SNL as a featured player in the 2022-23 season and became part of the repertory cast last year. Prior to joining the show, he wrote for Netflix’s Big Mouth and Freeform’s Everything’s Trash. He also has a half-hour stand-up special on Hulu and hosts a podcast called My Favorite Lyrics.

In an Instagram story separate from the above-quoted post, Walker added, “Just to be clear, this is good news! It was just time for me to do something different. Please don’t be hitting me with the ‘I’m so sorry’ — we not on that at ALL. Sometimes mom and dad just don’t see things eye to eye.”
