Ole Miss Coach Lane Kiffin is expected to announce a major decision regarding his career in college football on November 29, 2025. The 50-year-old coach could leave his position as the school’s head football coach for Louisiana State University, and fans are anxiously awaiting an answer.

About one week before the projected decision day, Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter said on November 21 that he and Kiffin “have had many pointed and positive conversations regarding his future at Ole Miss, including meeting today with Chancellor [Glenn] Boyce.”

“While we discuss next steps, we know we cannot lose sight of what is most important − our sixth-ranked team that is poised to finish the season in historic fashion,” Carter said.

Below, get updates on what we know so far regarding Kiffin’s decision.

When Will Lane Kiffin Announce His Decision?

Kiffin was expected to announce his decision following the game between Ole Miss and Auburn on November 29, multiple outlets reported. One day prior, NFL draft analyst Todd McShay tweeted that Kiffin’s choice was “apparently made” on November 28.

“Kiffin’s decision is apparently made, I was just told,” McShay wrote. “Tomorrow’s gonna be a wild day…”

Ole Miss’ Carter said that “despite the noise,” an announcement “on Coach Kiffin’s future [was] expected the Saturday following the game.”

“[Kiffin] focused on preparing our team for the Egg Bowl, and together, we want to ensure that our players and coaches can concentrate fully on next Friday’s game,” Carter said. “This team is on the cusp of an unprecedented season, and it’s imperative they feel the support of the Ole Miss family in the week ahead.”

Is Lane Kiffin Leaving Ole Miss?

At the time of publication, it’s still unclear if Kiffin is leaving Ole Miss, but a portion of the college football world is convinced that it is the case. In the days leading up to the big moment, though, ESPN’s Marty Smith reported from the Ole Miss football facility that Carter “told us on the field prior to the Egg Bowl [that] he expects Kiffin to stay.”

Meanwhile, journalist Scott Hughes tweeted on November 29 that Kiffin “will remain at Ole Miss,” citing sources close to the situation.

Who Will Replace Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss if He Leaves?

Ole Miss quarterback coach Joe Judge would serve as the interim head coach for the College Football Playoff if Kiffin decides to leave, according to ESPN.

Is James Pickens Jr. Leaving ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Amid Cancer Battle? – Hollywood Life

James Pickens Jr., who’s best known for playing Dr. Richard Webber in Grey’s Anatomy, shocked fans upon revealing his cancer diagnosis. What made the news even more unsettling was that his on-screen character’s cancer battle was revealed in the season 22 midseason finale. As fans grapple with the revelation, many are wondering whether or not James is leaving the show.

The actor spoke with BlackHealthMatters.com in November 2025 to discuss his illness.

“It’s not the kind of news anyone wants to hear, but to be honest, prostate cancer has run through my family,” James pointed out. “My father had it. He had a lot of brothers; several of them had it. I would have been surprised if I hadn’t gotten it. I’ve got a 90-year-old first cousin, who’s still alive, actually; he had it. His son has it. A couple of his brothers had it. No one, as far as I know, has succumbed to it.”

Below, Hollywood Life has the latest updates about James’ presence on Grey’s Anatomy.

Does James Pickens Jr. Actually Have Cancer? What Type He Has

Yes, as previously noted, James was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2024.

“We caught it really early, and so they thought that would be the best route to take,” the Ohio native told BlackHealthMatters.com. “I do have a rare variant that you don’t see very often. They wanted to err on the side of caution and keep an eye on it. It was rare enough that they wanted to make sure that they were crossing all the T’s and dotting all their I’s. But they hadn’t seen one that was detected as early as mine.”

During the interview, James recalled going back to the doctor and, “when my PSA numbers came back, my primary said, ‘Yeah, you know what? It’s ticked up some more. I want to send you back to the urologist.”

“The urologist looked at him and said,” Yeah, there’s something here. Let’s do an MRI,’ which we did, and it revealed, as he called it, something suspicious,” James elaborated. “They scheduled a biopsy, which revealed a tumor.”

Is James Pickens Jr. Leaving Grey’s Anatomy?

At the time of publication, James has not announced his departure from Grey’s Anatomy.

How Is James Pickens Jr. Doing With His Cancer Battle?

James appears to be managing his prostate cancer well. According to BlackHealthMatters, he underwent a prostatectomy to fight the disease, and he was hospitalized for about a day.

Is Aisha Hinds Leaving ‘9-1-1’? How 2026 Return Promo Teases Hen Concerns

by jummy84 November 14, 2025
written by jummy84

Uh-oh, is there another shake-up coming to the 118 when 9-1-1 returns with its next new episode on Thursday, January 8, 2026? The promo and what’s been going on with Hen (Aisha Hinds) suggests that could be a strong possibility.

In the November 13 fall finale, titled “Family History,” Hen began showing some worrying signs. There was what she wrote off as a rash and possible allergic reaction on her hand, then a hand tremor in the middle of a call. Then, at home alone, she collapsed and was unconscious long enough for it to turn from day to night. When her wife, Karen (Tracie Thoms), calling woke her, she lied and said she was stuck at work.

Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) noticed her stumble, but Hen brushed it off and then asked the former nurse about her symptoms, claiming they had been a patient’s. She did, however, latch onto something Maddie said during the conversation, leading to her going to a medical spa for a CT at the end of the episode.

Now, the promo for the January 8 return, which you can watch above, shows Hen talking to Athena (Angela Bassett) and it at least makes it look like she’s filled her best friend in on what’s going on. “I know I gotta tell them,” Hen says. “I’m just not ready for this to be the end of my story.”

Hen’s hand tremor comes up again, this time during a call with a woman in active labor, and she tells Eddie (Ryan Guzman) to glove up. “What?” he asks, confused.

Then, the 118 is called to a fire, and Chimney (Kenneth Choi), now the permanent captain, issues orders, including putting Hen on search and rescue. However, the video ends with her taking off her mask and collapsing. Will this be the point she can no longer hide what’s going on from the others?

This can’t be setting up Aisha Hinds’ exit, right?! Something tells us this will end up being something that can be treated but might mean another change, at least temporarily, at the 118.

What’s your theory about what’s going on with Hen? Let us know in the comments section below.

Gayle King Pushes Back at Reports She’s Leaving CBS Mornings

Gayle King is setting the record straight after reports surfaced claiming she was preparing to leave CBS Mornings.

Speaking outside the network’s New York studio on October 31, 2025, King told TMZ that the chatter about her future doesn’t match what she’s been told internally. While she didn’t fully rule out the possibility of eventually moving on, she made it clear that—for now—she’s focused on her current role.

“I’m here now and intend to keep doing my job,” King said.

CBS News also weighed in on the rumors, shutting down claims that she’s planning an imminent exit.

“There have been no discussions with Gayle about her contract that runs through May 2026,” a CBS spokesperson told TMZ. “She’s a truly valued part of CBS and we look forward to engaging with her about the future.”

The response follows widespread speculation about King’s long-term plans with the morning show, which she has co-anchored for years. For now, King says she’s focused on staying present—despite the headlines suggesting otherwise.

bitchy | Prince Andrew is in advanced talks with King Charles about leaving Royal Lodge

by jummy84 October 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Once Virginia Giuffre’s book was published last Tuesday and the outcry from British politicians had gotten very loud, the writing was on the wall: Prince Andrew will be forced out of Royal Lodge. He deserves to be punished more thoroughly than “being forced to give up his mansion,” but the fact remains that he was still living in Royal Lodge and the optics were pretty terrible. I theorized that we would get confirmation of his eviction by Friday. We did not, but we did get confirmation that Andrew is “in talks” with King Charles about leaving RL. Those talks include: how much money it will take for Andrew to give up his lease, where will Andrew (and presumably Sarah Ferguson) go post-RL and who will actually be financially supporting Andrew from here on out. From the Telegraph:

Prince Andrew is in advanced talks with the King’s representatives about quitting his Royal Lodge home, The Telegraph understands. Buckingham Palace is trying to crank up the pressure on the Prince to voluntarily give up his 30-room residence, from which he cannot legally be evicted under the terms of his “cast iron” lease. Discussions over the Prince’s living arrangements have been happening on a daily basis since reports of him living there rent-free caused a public outcry. However, it is understood that the Prince is resistant, and negotiations are continuing.

While the Prince’s initial response was to dig his heels in and cite the fact that he has 50 years left on his pre-paid lease, there is a growing sense of inevitability that he will now move out. The main sticking points are where he will live instead, and how much money he will receive in compensation for the millions he has spent on the property, which is leased from the Crown Estate.

Royal sources report a mood shift in the Palace in recent days, including a renewed determination to force Andrew out and a recognition that his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, need to be “looked after” and reassured that their own homes in St James’s Palace and Kensington Palace respectively will not be affected.

There had been hopes that the Prince’s living arrangements could be sorted out quickly to draw a line under the constant stream of negative publicity about his indiscretions – with rumours swirling on Thursday that he was hours away from moving – but finding a solution that works for all parties is proving difficult.

The King had hoped that by forcing his brother to drop his Duke of York title and other honours, the furore over his relationship with the paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein and with suspected Chinese spies would die down. However, it has failed to do so. Buckingham Palace will be keen to avoid a long, drawn-out parliamentary inquiry into any matter that touches on royal finances, which has given added urgency to the matter of resolving Andrew’s accommodation.

On the question of where the Prince will live if he leaves Royal Lodge, the most trouble-free solution would be to house him in one of the King’s privately-owned properties, most likely Sandringham or Balmoral, where he could have the use of one of the many self-contained homes on either estate. That would enable him to live rent-free without any cost to the public purse. But Andrew is not keen to be exiled to Norfolk or Scotland and wants to remain in London or Windsor, close to his daughters. Moving him to a smaller property on the Windsor estate would minimise the public’s outrage at him living a life of taxpayer-subsidised luxury, but he would have to pay rent which he might not be able to afford. Moving him into Windsor Castle or Buckingham Palace would also risk accusations that he was being rewarded rather than punished, and there would be a cost to the public purse of accommodating him in buildings that belong to the nation.

Meanwhile, there is also the question of what would happen to Royal Lodge, as its proximity to Windsor Castle makes it difficult, if not impossible, to rent out privately. Under the terms of the lease, which he signed in 2003, the Prince is entitled to a refund of some of the money he paid up front, which included a £1m payment for the 75-year lease and more than £7.5m in refurbishment costs. If he leaves before next June, he will be in line for a refund of £557,596, which reduces by £185,865 each year until 2028, when he will be owed nothing.

The living arrangements of Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, who has her own rooms in Royal Lodge, are an added complication. It is unclear whether she would move with the Prince or find somewhere to live on her own.

The Prince of Wales is understood to have been keen to stay out of the negotiations, as he remains on good terms with his cousins Beatrice and Eugenie, but has made it clear that he wants the matter resolved. In recent days, Prince William and the King have made it clear through their representatives that Beatrice and Eugenie are blameless in the furore and that their homes in the royal palaces are safe.

[From The Telegraph]

An interesting part of this piece was a discussion of how Andrew is digging in his heels specifically because he’s already put more than £10 million into Royal Lodge, and he’s using that to negotiate a much larger “settlement” from his brother. While I think this whole system is corrupt, whatever money Andrew negotiates for breaking his lease is not going to come from “the taxpayer” in any direct sense. It’s likely that Charles will do the same thing QEII did when she gave Andrew the money to settle with Virginia Giuffre: take the money out of the Duchy of Lancaster funds, which are considerable. Which is the whole ballgame for Andrew, and what he’s been saying since 2023: if you want me to give up RL, then you better be prepared to write me an eight-figure check. If anything, Andrew’s position is probably strengthened right now because Charles really, really needs to get Andrew out of Royal Lodge and cauterize this PR bleed before Parliament starts investigating the whole rotten system.

As for where Andrew could live post-Royal Lodge… it’s clear that Charles wants to put him in Frogmore Cottage, but the Telegraph says that Prince William might have a problem with that, plus Andrew would still be pretty visible. There’s Wood Farm, part of the Sandringham estate, and that’s where Prince Philip retired from public life. The Telegraph suggests Craigowan Lodge, on the Balmoral estate, which is apparently close to the golf course. There were also rumors of Charles sending Andrew to Castle of Mey in Scotland, but I really don’t think that will happen. Mostly because… Charles still spends a few weeks a year there, and his foundation basically operates the castle now. My guess is that they’ll end up sending Andrew to Sandringham. Wood Farm sounds like the best bet, he would be out of the way in Norfolk yet his daughters could still easily travel to see him if they wanted to.

Is Caterina Scorsone’s Amelia Shepherd Leaving ‘Grey’s Anatomy’?

by jummy84 October 17, 2025
written by jummy84

[Warning: The following post contains spoilers for Grey’s Anatomy Season 41 Episode 2, “We Built This City.”]

Grey’s Anatomy had another shocking development in store for fans on Thursday’s (October 16) newest episode, “We Built This City.” After welcoming back Kelly McCreary as Maggie Pierce for a heartwarming return, the story put another one of its longtime leading characters on indefinite leave from the hospital.

In the episode, Maggie joined forces with Ellen Pompeo‘s Meredith Grey to show support for Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) as the neurosurgeon grappled with severe grief over the death of Monica Beltran (Natalie Morales).

Although the sisters’ trip down memory lane — and impromptu takeover of Meredith’s mom’s old house from the now-second-year residents — did give Amelia some relief from her intense sadness and feelings of guilt, she still struggled. Because she performed the risky first operation on her pediatric patient Dylan, the child will continue to live with locked-in syndrome indefinitely; meanwhile, the girl’s desperate mother Jenna (Piper Perabo), who was inspired to hold up the surgical floor and caused a gas explosion over that condition, is now responsible for multiple deaths.

After talking things through with Maggie and Meredith, Amelia decided to leave Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital for an indeterminate amount of time. She delivered the news that she’d be taking a sabbatical to Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.), who was helping Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) out with her chief of surgery duties.

So does that mean Amelia — and thus Caterina Scorsone — is gone for good from Grey’s? Not quite. TV Insider has learned the actress is not exiting the series but will not be seen for several episodes during the character’s sabbatical.

Eric McCandless / ©ABC / courtesy Everett Collection

Scorsone’s Amelia has been a mainstay of Grey’s Anatomy for 15 years, leading up to the episode, which marked the series’ 450th. The character was first introduced as the sister of Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) all the way back in Season 7. After returning to the role in Seasons 8 and 10, Scorsone became a series regular in Season 11 and has remained as much ever since, following Amelia’s sobriety journey, several romances, motherhood, loss, and her ascension to chief of neuro and working with Meredith on her research projects.

This episode also happens to coincide with Scorsone’s birthday. Before the episode, the actress celebrated the occasion with a social media post, writing, “Today is my birthday. 🎉 Grateful for every breath that got me here, for every human that loved me to this place, for all the moments of life that delivered me to this one. Today I’m so deeply rooted in my body, my community, my commitment to the people and the ethics that I love and protect with all the courage and wisdom and life I’ve collected. What a gorgeous view. What a wild ride. Big shout out to my mom for all that heavy lifting and to the Loves who brought me flowers this morning. Bliss.”

She received comments of support from her Grey’s family, including Ellen Pompeo, Chris Carmack, Anthony Hill, and Peyton Kennedy, who played her foster child, Betty.

Jennifer Lopez has mixed feelings on kids leaving for college

by jummy84 October 6, 2025

6 October 2025

Jennifer Lopez has mixed feelings about her children leaving home.

Jennifer Lopez’s twins are preparing for college

The 56-year-old singer-and-actress is currently promoting her new movie Kiss of the Spider Woman and during her downtime, she’s been touring colleges with 17-year-old twins Max and Emme – who she has with ex-husband Marc Anthony – and while she’s sad at the idea of being alone, she is also excited for the “adventure” her offspring have in store.

Speaking on Live with Kelly and Mark, she said: “I mean, it’s crazy. We’re visiting colleges today, between doing this [press] and the premiere, we’re visiting a college today.

“It’s happening — they’re leaving, they’re going, and it’s crazy.

“I’m happy because I feel like, I remember how exciting that time in my life was like, ‘Oh, I’m figuring out what I want to do with my life.’

“And it’s an exciting adventure, I want that for them. But I also think like, ‘Oh! I’m going to be by myself.” “

When co-host Kelly Ripa told Jennifer she was going to love the new stage of her life, the Hustlers actress admitted she has an “inkling” she might enjoy some of it but she’s hopeful her kids will still want to come back to her.

She added: “But also always making a home that they want to come back to, right? That was the goal for me since they were born,” the “On the Floor.

“Whatever this is, whatever we create, the three of us together, it’s going to be something that they always are like, ‘When I go home, it feels good. It smells like home, it tastes like home.’ All of it.’ And I always concentrated on that with them. And I feel like we’ve created that.”

Jennifer noted she was in a “brutal” phase a few years ago with the twins but now they get along in a “really beautiful” way.

She said: “Now they’re 17, they’ll be 18 in February. They’re graduating this June from high school and I feel like, we’re close. We’re a close-knit three now. A lot has happened with us.

“We had to bond together, you know what I mean? That kind of changed things and made it really beautiful for us.”

Is Donna Murphy Leaving ‘Brilliant Minds’? Boss Explains Muriel’s Decision, Talks Wolf and Josh Romance (Exclusive)

by jummy84 September 30, 2025
written by jummy84

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Brilliant Minds Season 2 Episode 2 “The Contestant.”]

Brilliant Minds isn’t about to say goodbye to Donna Murphy, right?! Especially not so soon after Wolf’s (Zachary Quinto) father left? Muriel does step down as CMO in the latest episode, but she and Wolf also discuss that now she’ll just be his mom, not his boss. That should make for some good television since those two are so great in scenes together.

Also in “The Contestant,” Carol (Tamberla Perry) successfully fights for her job, helped by Muriel, saying she told her to keep treating Alison, the woman with whom her husband was having the affair. Plus, it looks like Wolf and Josh (Teddy Sears) will be getting back on track when they go out for drinks, but then the latter pulls away when the former kisses him. He can be his friend, but that’s it, for now. And a new flashforward reveals that Carol is at Wolf’s side when he signs himself into Amelia’s (Bellamy Young) Hudson Oaks psychiatric facility.

Below, showrunner Michael Grassi breaks down this episode, reveals if Donna Murphy is going anywhere, talks Wolf and Josh’s moment, offers more information about the flashforwards, and much more.

Muriel steps down as CMO. Is Donna still a series regular?

Michael Grassi: Donna is still very much a part of the show, and we’ll be seeing more of her very soon.

I feel like that means we’ll be getting a lot more of the mother-son relationship. But can she step away from the hospital when her son works there as much as she should?

Good question. So, we’ll definitely be seeing more of Muriel in the first half of the season and even later, but I think that relationship is going to shift a little. But I think we’ve seen so much growth in the Wolf-Muriel relationship, and I love Zach and Donna on screen together so much. Some of my favorite scenes are them. We’ve seen them grow, and we’ve seen Wolf appreciate everything his mother did and even though it might’ve been hard for him growing up the way his mother was, sometimes I think he sees that she was really trying to protect him and that it wasn’t even that she wanted to keep what dad did a secret, but it was what dad wanted and she was just trying to protect him in so many ways. And I think Wolf really sees that for the first time, and we see their relationship evolve, and you’re so right that post 202, we’re going to see a bit of a shift. It’s like, what does it look like when Muriel isn’t at Bronx General and when she catches up with her son? That new dynamic of just mother and not boss is something we haven’t gotten to see yet really on the show since he was a kid in the flashback. So, it’s going to be really fun.

When you said seeing the growth, I just thought about when he checked on her after hearing the end of her phone conversation. A moment like that at the beginning of the series almost would’ve been impossible to imagine.

Yeah, and I have to say, too, I love Tamberla and Donna together as well. That’s one of my favorite scenes in 202. I love it. It is just so good, and I love the mutual respect they have, and they have so much in common, but also, Wolf is their main thing in common. They also just love him so much, and he’s such a big part of their lives, so it’s just nice to see that connective tissue between them.

Yeah, then Muriel has that line that Wolf is going to need Carol, and the flashforward in this episode shows he does, with Carol by his side. So, are the flash forwards going to be a bit disjointed like that, where that one clearly took place before the premieres? Should we expect that, and then it’s going to be piecing it all together?

Correct. I think it’s going to be a bit of a puzzle that the audience is going to be putting together for sure. We’re going to see different parts of what those flashforwards are, jumping in time a little bit.

With these first two episodes, it’s easier to tell, but will there be moments where it’s questionable when something took place?

I don’t want to spoil it too much. You’ll see.

What can you say about the new CMO and that person’s dynamic with Oliver? He’s adjusting to someone who’s going to be his boss, who’s not his mom?

Yeah, I would say stay tuned.

The good news is Carol is back. First of all, thank you so much for the Carol and Josh scenes in this episode. They were great,

They’re so good together.

Pief Weyman/NBC

But there is now the question of who reported her, since it appears it wasn’t Alison. Can you confirm it wasn’t Alison? Because she could have reported her and still decided to speak up on her behalf.

I can confirm it wasn’t Alison. She went in and she told them that Carol saved her life and she meant it.

How is Carol going to go about trying to get that answer?

I think Carol’s going to be torn about the ethics of getting that answer. And is it something that she even should do because whoever reported her, was it their right to report her? So, I think we’re going to see Carol be tested a little bit throughout the season, and that question will loom and it will weigh on her. She has to be at work, and somebody around her reported her for this. We’re going to see how Dr. Carol Pierce navigates something like that as a psychiatrist, which is going to be great.

Is she going to be changing her approach to work at all because of what she just went through?

That’s something we’re going to continue to explore in Episode 203, which I’m so excited for you to see.

Oliver kisses Josh, trying to just get things back to where they were before Noah showed up. But I can’t help but think about Oliver not returning his “I’m falling for you” and you telling me that he would in his own unique way, which he hasn’t yet. So, does that play into where Oliver is when it comes to being ready to resume that relationship?

I think when Wolf kisses Josh in 202, it’s a bit of a moment where he’s trying to reset, but it’s also that he’s doing it in the wrong way because it’s like, “We haven’t even had the conversation, and you’re kissing me at drinks.” And Josh literally thought, “Oh, he’s asking me to drinks to be like, ‘Hey, I have to talk to you. My dad left again. It’s messed up.’” It’s just a little bit cart before the horse, and I think it’s just part of Wolf trying to cope with what happened, and it’s Josh being like, “Oh, this is messy.” And I think it further complicates things to be honest.

Josh says he can be his friend. Why did you want to slow them down, and what can you say about any hope for their romance after 202?

I think they had a bit of a quick start. I think they shot out of the can a little bit. I think they had that amazing kiss in Episode 107 last season, but it might’ve been premature. And I think ever since that kiss, they’ve been trying to navigate, “Who are we to each other? We clearly have feelings for each other. We also work together and disagree in a lot of stuff. And that’s really complicated.” And then Wolf did what he did in 113 because he was dealing with personal stuff and I think they have a lot to figure out and it’s going to be a ride between them. But I really do think that there’s love there and mutual respect, and I think we see that on screen between the two of them. I think Zach and Teddy are so good, and those are some of my favorite scenes. Their dynamic is going to shift in a big way very soon.

I might be getting a bit dark with this question, but Ericka (Ashleigh LaThrop) sleeps through her phone going off about the patient and Charlie (Brian Altemus) has that comment about taking it easy on the benzos. Did he dose her or is it just that he knows that she’s taking pills?

He knows that she’s taking pills. He saw her take pills.

So it was just that, we shouldn’t be wondering how far this guy’s going to go?

No, no, no, no, no. I love that you asked that though. That’s a whole other show. Maybe Season 3, maybe Season 3.

Are there any episodes coming up like the building collapse from Season 1?

We have some really dramatic cases this season. I’ll tease Episode 203 has an opening sequence that is one of my worst nightmares, and I think a lot of people’s worst nightmares. So I’m excited for people to see that. And we will have some bigger episodes this season for sure. And some unexpected events happen.

Martin Freeman’s crime drama with Downton Abbey star leaving Netflix

ITV crime drama A Confession is leaving Netflix very soon, meaning viewers have only a matter of weeks left to watch it on the streamer.

The six-part series, which was released in 2019 and is written by Jeff Pope, is based on the real-life murder of Sian O’Callaghan, who went missing in 2011 after a night out.

Martin Freeman (Sherlock) stars as Detective Steve Fulcher, the real-life police officer who went to great lengths in order to get justice to prevail, while Siobhan Finneran (Downton Abbey) appears as Sian’s mother, Elaine Pickford.

Alongside Freeman and Finneran, the drama also stars Imelda Staunton, Joe Absolom, Daniel Betts and Charlie Cooper.

A Confession is leaving Netflix on 30th September 2025, but is still available on ITVX, where it looks set to remain for the foreseeable.

Siobhan Finneran plays Sian’s mother.

Liam O’Callaghan previously opened up to RadioTimes.com about how he worked with writer Jeff Pope to tell the story of his sister Sian’s disappearance and murder.

He said: “As soon as we’d seen what Jeff had produced, we were happy with what was produced. It shows Sian as a person, it doesn’t focus on Sian’s life being taken.”

He added: “Which was important, for us. Because we didn’t really want that to be a focus, we didn’t want to have to envisage that or see it played out. So the fact that it steers away from that and just shows Sian as a person, and then also tackles Steven Fulcher and his actions – it’s a good piece of work.”

A Confession is available to stream now on Netflix until 30th September. Sign up for Netflix from £5.99 a month. Netflix is also available on Sky Glass and Virgin Media Stream.

LEAVING

Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews)

When is Jenny Connor leaving? Autumn 2025.

Former Rovers Return landlady Jenny Connor has been confirmed to be written out of the soap later this year.

The actor has played fan-favourite character Jenny Connor (also known as Jenny Bradley) on and off since 1986, and announcing the news on social media, Matthews paid tribute to the show.

She wrote on Instagram: “I was supposed to stay for five months but ended up doing an extra ten years because I loved it so much! It’s time though to play those parts I always hoped I would when I’d ’grown up.’

“Thanks Trafford Wharf Rd for the memories and endless laughter x”

An ITV spokesperson declined to comment further on the news when contacted by Radio Times, but we understand Matthews has now filmed her final scenes as Jenny.

Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank)

When is Billy Mayhew leaving? 2026.

Actor Daniel Brocklebank has been confirmed to be leaving our screens as Billy Mayhew in Coronation Street next year.

The Sun reports that a story-based decision will see Billy Mayhew depart the cobbles not long after losing his husband, Paul Foreman, in a new issues-based storyline in 2026.

Confirming his exit to the paper, Daniel said: “I have been working on Corrie for a quarter of my life.

“I have adored every minute I have been in that building and have never not looked forward to going into work.

“I love everyone who works on this show and whilst I am sad to be going, I am equally excited to see what the future holds.”

RadioTimes.com reached out to ITV for comment.

Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney)

When is Debbie Webster leaving? 2027.

Actress Sue Devaney is being written out of the show as her fan-favourite character Debbie Webster is due to be killed off in a long-running dementia storyline.

Devaney first appeared as 15-year-old Debbie Webster and starred in the role for one year, before returning to the soap in 2019, and has been a main cast member since 2020.

A source told Metro: “It’s one of the show’s biggest storylines of the year, and a real chance for Sue to finally get her time in the spotlight – it will just be devastating for fans that it will effectively be her final storyline.”

They added: “It’s one of many major storylines new boss Kate Brooks has in the bag, and there will not be a dry eye in the house.

“There is no doubt in the Corrie family that she will give the performance of a lifetime and make Debbie’s exit one to remember for years.”

The report also revealed that the character of Debbie was expected to stay in the show beyond 2025 to complete the long-running storyline, so there is plenty of Debbie still to come on-screen.

The storyline has since been confirmed by ITV and actress Sue Devaney, who revealed in June 2025 that she would still be on the soap until 2027.

RETURNING

Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon)

When is Bethany Platt returning? Autumn 2025.

Actress Lucy Fallon is set to return from her maternity leave this Autumn, and Bethany will be back in Weatherfield.

Bethany left for a job in London earlier this year following a split from Daniel Osbourn,e as his love for his ex Daisy Midgeley became clear.

Daisy has since left Weatherfield, but the chances are slim for a Bethany and Daniel reunion…

Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley)

When is Eva Price returning? Autumn 2025.

Actress Catherine Tyldesley is returning to Coronation Street as former Rovers Return barmaid and Leanne Battersby’s half-sister Eva Price later this year.

The Sun initially reported that the actress would begin filming with the soap this summer and will be back on-screen in the autumn.

A source told the paper: “Cath has been away for a while and worked on countless other projects but she really missed Corrie.

“They’ve tried to get her back a few times but the stars have never aligned.

“But when she was approached with the idea for Eva’s return, it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.”

The character of Eva left Weatherfield in 2018 with baby Susie following the tragic suicide of her true love, Aidan Connor, played by Shayne Ward.

The ITV soap later confirmed Eva’s return as the new landlady of the Rovers Return after Carla sells it, and Eva will be accompanied by her new husband and his formidable mother-in-law.

Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks shared: “We are beyond thrilled that Eva is returning as the landlady of the Rovers, with her new blended family in tow.”

JOINING

Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker)

When is Ben Driscoll arriving? Autumn 2025.

When Eva returns to Coronation Street, she will be accompanied by her new husband Ben Driscoll, played by Shameless alum Aaron McCusker.

Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks shared: “The Driscolls do not arrive quietly, so expect big drama, explosive secrets and raucous knees-ups galore.”

She added: “To have actors of Catherine, Aaron and Pauline’s considerable calibre at the beating heart of this family is absolutely wonderful, and we can’t wait for you to get to know and fall in love with them as much as we have already done.

“Strap yourselves in, it’s going to be an exciting and eventful ride.”

Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn)

When is Maggie Driscoll arriving? Autumn 2025.

Father Ted legend and former EastEnders star Pauline McLynn is joining Corrie as Eva’s new mother-in-law, the formidable Maggie Driscoll.

The character is set to be interfering and clearly a mother-in-law from hell for Eva to contend with!

We feel a classic Corrie character in the making here!
