Cardi B Says She’d “Take It to Hell” to Protect Her Kids: “I Got Nasty About Mine”

Cardi B is making it clear — when it comes to her children, she’s not backing down.

In a new interview with PAPER Magazine, the rapper opened up about fiercely defending her family following the release of her latest track, “Am I The Drama?”

“This week I showed the world that I will get the most nasty about mine,” Cardi said. “I never had to get that nasty for my kids. But I did, and I really feel like a lioness.”

The Grammy winner reflected on how the situation tested her as a mother, adding:

“This has been one of the moments I got tested the most about being a parent. But it just goes to show me how strong I am, and it just goes to show me like, Damn, I will really take it to hell for mines — mentally, physically, anything. And I wouldn’t care.”

Cardi shares three children — Kulture, Wave, and Blossom — with estranged husband Offset, and says this moment reminded her just how far she’s willing to go to protect her family.

Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifth child, Jessa Duggar, was born Nov. 4, 1992.

Jessa met Ben through church and he began courting her in 2013—the old-fashioned approach to romance coming as a brand-new notion to a lot of viewers. The kids never talked about their romances pre-engagement, so Jim Bob explained to People, “Courting is getting to know each other in a group setting, both families spending time together and the couple setting goals together to determine if they are meant to marry. With dating, a couple will often pair off alone and that sometimes leads to a more physical relationship.”

Ben asked for Jessa’s hand and then proposed in August 2014—sealing the deal by holding her hand for the first time. They married on Nov. 1, 2014. Jessa was pregnant with their first child when 19 Kids and Counting was canceled and TLC subsequently aired a special about sexual abuse, featuring Jill and Jessa, to further educate viewers on the subject. The sisters would end up the stars of their own show, Jill and Jessa: Counting On, that winter; the show then evolved to become Counting On, featuring other Duggar siblings as well.

Meanwhile, Jessa and Ben welcomed son Spurgeon on Nov. 5, 2015, son Henry on Feb. 6, 2017, daughter Ivy Jane on May 28, 2019 and daughter Fern in July 2021. In February 2023, Jessa shared that she suffered a miscarriage over the 2022 holiday season. She gave birth to son George in December 2023.

In August 2025, Jessa announced the birth of son Edward.

While many know Diane Keaton as the iconic actress who took over Hollywood with such films as Annie Hall, Something’s Gotta Give and the Godfather franchise, some fans are surprised to discover she never married and became a mother in her 50s by adopting a daughter and son. “Motherhood has completely changed me,” Diane once told Film Monthly. “It’s just about the most completely humbling experience that I’ve ever had.”

Even after winning an Academy Award, two Golden Globes and AFI Life Achievement Award, the First Wives Club star said she always knew there was more to life than acting and so she wanted to try her hand at parenting. “It was more like a thought I’d been thinking for a very long time,” she told Access Online in 2008. “So I plunged in.”

Unfortunately, Diane died on October 11, 2025, at the age of 79.

In 1996, Diane adopted Dexter, who was born a year earlier. The young beauty didn’t follow in her mother’s Tinseltown footsteps, although she has accompanied Diane on many a red carpet. And the University of Arizona alum certainly gushes about her incredible mom, as she shared a snap of the pair on Mother’s Day 2014 with the caption, “I’m so thankful to have been adopted by such a strong, beautiful, and talented woman. I couldn’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me. I love you!”

Dexter also couldn’t wait to share the exciting news of her engagement via Instagram back in November 2020. With a snap of her then-boyfriend Jordan White proposing on one knee, Dexter wrote, “This morning started with hail and ended with a diamond! I can’t believe I’m engaged! I love you, Jordan!”

The couple went on to get married in June 2021 and photos of the beautiful nuptials were posted all over Dexter’s social media. In one adorable snap, the bride and groom pose with Diane and Duke, as Dexter captioned it, “Family.” A source told Closer Weekly that the wedding was “perfect.” “It was Dexie’s day and she was a beautiful bride,” the insider added. “Diane cried, of course … she just can’t believe how time flies by.”

Dexter’s little brother Duke was welcomed to the family in 2001. Much like his sister, Duke appears to keep a low profile and is quite the private person. Although he has not yet taken to his mother’s interest in acting, he has rubbed elbows with the glitterati, as he posted a super cute snap with Rita Ora and Cara Delevingne to his Instagram. He also appears to enjoy cooking, as he has shared numerous chef tutorials on social media, including one where he and a friend prepare steak and eggs for breakfast.

Another hobby of his appears to be photography, as he runs a separate Instagram account where he publishes his gorgeous photos. The collection includes tropical landscapes, gritty cityscapes and snaps of his international travels. He has quite the eye! Diane must be tickled pink, as she herself is an accomplished photographer, having published several books of her work. In a 2008 interview with Vanity Fair, Diane said her mother influenced her to pick up a camera. “She encouraged me to save pictures. ‘Don’t forget,’ she’d say. Photographs have such an impact—more than words. They are so visceral and intense.’”

Her response never wavered: “I was just like, ‘Well, I plan to live a plural marriage.'” And had Kody been single when he pursued her, rather than a devoted family man with three wives, “I would have said the same thing to you.” 

But now that they find themselves as unintentional monogamists, asserted Kody, “It’s you and me, baby.”

Though he admittedly had one concern. 

“There’s something I want maybe more than you do,” Kody told Robyn, alluding to their sex life. The way he saw it, Kody continued in a confessional, “A polygamist is getting more than he wants and a monogamist isn’t getting enough.”

Luckily, the children are not yet exposed to Instagram and Twitter. They are being photographed, and they understand that their parents are famous.”

When asked if her sons ever questioned why strangers constantly take their pictures with big cameras, Kareena replied, “Jeh doesn’t ask. He said, ‘But they’re clicking you na, why can’t they click me?’ I said, That’s because I’m famous, you’re just my son. Now he’s figured it out. He’s calculating that basically, he’ll have to become like Lionel Messi or Virat Kohli to get famous. So I told him, you think about how you want to become famous. But now, he’s not bothered anymore.”

Many real-life K-pop acts are featured throughout the film. Andrew Choi, who is the singing voice of Saja Boys’ Jinu, is currently an active solo artist under SM Entertainment. Hit K-pop girl group TWICE performs the version of HUNTR/X’s “Takedown” that appears during the credits. Kevin Woo, who provided the singing voice for Saja Boys’ Mystery Saja, is from the K-pop boy band U-KISS. The “Let’s Get Loud” singer brought out her 17-year-old twins Max and Emme, who she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, for a special red carpet appearance during the New York City premiere of her movie Kiss of the Spider Woman.

For the Oct. 6 outing, Jennifer donned a green, off-the-shoulder, floral dress by Harris Reed with a spider-like structure extending from her waist. Emme also got dressed up for the event, sporting a red velvet suit jacket over a black satin shirt and a pair of black pants. Meanwhile, Max sported a dark, tri-color jacket over a crimson sweater vest and a pair of khaki slacks.

And while the family outing was certainly rare—Emme hasn’t stepped out on the red carpet since March—it had extra meaning for J.Lo, as it topped off their full day out in the Big Apple together. Indeed, Jennifer detailed earlier in the day how she was spending time with Max and Emme ahead of the movie premiere.

The 56-year-old singer-and-actress is currently promoting her new movie Kiss of the Spider Woman and during her downtime, she’s been touring colleges with 17-year-old twins Max and Emme – who she has with ex-husband Marc Anthony – and while she’s sad at the idea of being alone, she is also excited for the “adventure” her offspring have in store.

Speaking on Live with Kelly and Mark, she said: “I mean, it’s crazy. We’re visiting colleges today, between doing this [press] and the premiere, we’re visiting a college today.

“It’s happening — they’re leaving, they’re going, and it’s crazy.

“I’m happy because I feel like, I remember how exciting that time in my life was like, ‘Oh, I’m figuring out what I want to do with my life.’

“And it’s an exciting adventure, I want that for them. But I also think like, ‘Oh! I’m going to be by myself.” “

When co-host Kelly Ripa told Jennifer she was going to love the new stage of her life, the Hustlers actress admitted she has an “inkling” she might enjoy some of it but she’s hopeful her kids will still want to come back to her.

She added: “But also always making a home that they want to come back to, right? That was the goal for me since they were born,” the “On the Floor.

“Whatever this is, whatever we create, the three of us together, it’s going to be something that they always are like, ‘When I go home, it feels good. It smells like home, it tastes like home.’ All of it.’ And I always concentrated on that with them. And I feel like we’ve created that.”

Jennifer noted she was in a “brutal” phase a few years ago with the twins but now they get along in a “really beautiful” way.

She said: “Now they’re 17, they’ll be 18 in February. They’re graduating this June from high school and I feel like, we’re close. We’re a close-knit three now. A lot has happened with us.

“We had to bond together, you know what I mean? That kind of changed things and made it really beautiful for us.”
