bitchy | Prince Harry & Meghan took their kids to the pumpkin patch & carved pumpkins

Not to get too insidery, but doesn’t it feel like some new social media accounts have been activated very recently and there are instructions to swarm on anything involving the Duke and Duchess of Sussex? The online hissy fits and tantrums over the Sussexes are very weird and I wonder who’s paying for it. In any case, Meghan spread some lovely Halloween joy on Sunday, posting some special photos and videos including her kids, her husband, her mom and a man who looks like Markus Anderson (one of Meghan’s besties). The Sussexes went to the pumpkin patch, Meghan had a pumpkin wagon, a pink-clad Lili decided she needed a ride in the wagon, all while Archie (dressed in all black) ran around the rows of pumpkins. Meghan also included a time-lapse video of Harry carving the sh-t out of a pumpkin.

All of this led to some discussion about Americans and Halloween, and how the rest of the world really doesn’t “do” Halloween like Americans. As a nation, we’re obsessed with Halloween decorations and pumpkins and pumpkin carving. I wonder what else the Sussexes do for Halloween in Montecito – their neighborhood doesn’t seem conducive to trick-or-treating, but I bet there are events for kids this week in the community. Like, trunk-or-treats or some kind of Halloween festival at the kids’ school, something like that.

Paediatrician shares 7 signs of joint problems in kids every parent should know: ‘Pain that increases at night…’

by jummy84 October 24, 2025
written by jummy84

Joint problems are generally thought to be a problem that shows up in older adults. But joint issues also occur in young kids. What’s most alarming is that often, serious signs of joint problems are confused with growing pains. Parents need to stay alert and know when to seek medical advice. Early detection of joint issues reduces the chances of complications.

If your child is suffering from joint pain, seek help for timely medical intervention. (Picture credit: Freepik)

ALSO READ: Signs and symptoms associated with rheumatological diseases in children

Addressing the issue of joint health in kids, Dr Poonam Chhillar, Assistant Professor, Paediatrics, Shardacare Healthcity, shared with HT Lifestyle the signs that necessitate a doctor visit because they are serious.

“While it’s typical for parents to call occasional joint pain in children ‘growing pains,’ that may be true, but it’s important to know when it could actually be something different,” Dr Chhillar warned about the habit of parents dismissing children’s joint problems.

The paediatrician explained that growing pains are common in children between the ages of 3 and 12, and are usually dull. They do not include serious signs like swelling, limping or redness. They could also be sports injuries. But one more serious root cause, Dr Chhillar highlighted: Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis. This happens when inflammation rises in the joints.

7 warning signs parents should know

Joint pain, when left untreated, may get aggravated. Dr Chhillar said, “While mild joint pain or strain can be treated with rest and warm compresses, some symptoms should never be ignored.” Often, non-serious pain goes away with a warm compress, but when certain signs persist, they indicate underlying issues like inflammation or juvenile arthritis.

“Waiting too long to see a doctor could increase your child’s risk of developing chronic problems, joint damage or disability,” the paediatrician reminded the cost of delaying medical attention.

Here are the 7 signs she shared:

1. Persistent joint pain or swelling

  • Joint pain or swelling that is worsening or lasts longer than a week can be a sign of inflammation.
  • It is especially more prominent with large joints like the knee.

2. Stiffness in the morning

  • Difficulty getting out of bed
  • Stiffness after naps
  • Feeling awkward after sitting for a long time.

3. Limping or altered use of a limb

  • Any newly apparent limp
  • Reluctance to bear weight
  • Decreased range of motion in a joint

4. Bone pain that increases at night

  • Bone pain that is severe enough to wake the child from sleep.

5. Spontaneous fracture without injury or trauma:

  • Fractures that occur without a known cause may indicate underlying weakness or a metabolic bone disease.

6. Systemic symptoms:

These are symptoms of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), or another inflammatory or infectious process:

  • Joint pain with fever
  • Unexplained rash
  • Extreme fatigue
  • Unexplained weight loss

7. Redness or warmth over the joint:

These signs reveal inflammation or infection:

2 things children need to follow

The paediatrician advised parents to ensure good nutrition and an active lifestyle so that children develop healthy bones and joints.

She named two nutrients that support bone health. “Make sure your child is getting enough Calcium and Vitamin D, which are essential for healthy bones.”

If a child is overweight, their bones bear more strain, making it very important to be active and maintain a healthy weight.

Dr Chhillar suggested, “Promote different forms of physical activity—weight-bearing exercise, stretching and play. Managing weight is also important as excess weight puts additional strain on developing bones and joints.”

Ben Stiller on Parenting His, Christine Taylor’s Kids

by jummy84 October 24, 2025
written by jummy84

Ben Stiller is owning up to his shortfalls.

As the Zoolander alum put together his new documentary, Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost about his parents Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, he admitted how he and wife Christine Taylor are still figuring out the proper way to parent their kids Ella Stiller, 23, and Quinlin Stiller, 20.

“Having kids who are now actors also, and experiencing that, that became part of the movie in terms of talking to them about how cyclically, generationally these things get handed down,” Ben explained during an appearance on The View Oct. 23. “You want to do better than your parents.”

Indeed, the Severance creator noted that he oscillates between making “better” or “worse” choices than his late parents. As he put it, “It’s that struggle we all go through.”

“Every family you have to deal with whatever it is,” Ben explained. “Parents have to go out and work and that time that you don’t spend with your kids and that struggle.”

Ben admitted that his parents never quite mastered the work-life balance, adding,  “That’s something that they feel all the time.”

Kiran Rao on star kids vs outsiders: ‘Nepo kids’ have the obstacle of perception

by jummy84 October 24, 2025
written by jummy84

The debate around the rising cost of entourage has taken over the Hindi film industry, and director Kiran Rao admits the high cost of teams is one of the reasons that pushes her tow work with newcomers. She launched three new actors–Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta and Sparsh Shrivastava–with Laapataa Ladies last year, and she asserts that they came without any such baggage.

Kiran Rao (Photo: PTI)

“Organically, they just fit the scenario of an independent film and I make films that way. Even if the budgets have grown from Dhobi Ghat to Laapataa Ladies, in spirit, my filmmaking is very independent, the idea being that everybody on set is treated kind of equally. We believe in having fair working hours, but making things as tightly as possible, with as few resources and trying not to be wasteful. Fresh actors are much easier following those rules,” she says.

Having launched three outsiders with her film and seen her ex-husband, actor Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan, make their acting debuts around the same time, did she see any difference in the audience’s perception towards them? “When you have a so-called ‘nepo kid’ coming into the industry, they have a certain kind of baggage that they cannot avoid. They are constantly looked at through the lens of privilege, that they are getting there with all the kinds of shortcuts that other kids don’t have. I understand that but in most cases, now that I know so many film families, I’ve seen how hard and equally difficult sometimes their journey is. The obstacles that they have are different, they may not be worse or better, but they are the obstacles of perception,” she responds.

Elaborating further, Kiran Rao says, “In the case of any other new actor, there is no perception of you and people are willing to grow with you, understand your strengths and love you for your weaknesses. Whereas they come at a nepo kid with a different set of perceptions and expectations. So those are the things that any child from a film family has to deal with. Ultimately, your work will speak for itself and many times, it takes a film family child, many films in order to become successful. That’s the journey of most star kids in front of the camera.”

Ask her if she feels it’s actually easier for an outsider to make a mark in the film industry than a star kid, and Kiran answers in the affirmative. “I actually agree with it. I also feel that in today’s world people want to discover talent. They don’t like to be told that this person is there. They have a curiosity about stars and their children, but in order to make a person a star, they feel a responsibility,” she says.

However, Kiran highlights a much important issue. “Honestly, the conversation here to talk about is the death of stardom in some ways. There is no star system today. Stars are now being found in different ways. It’s in people with a following, who the audience look forward to seeing. They could come from a Reel, a series, a film, or it could even be a director. Those are the new stars, whose work is being followed more closely and sometimes it won’t be somebody even you and I know because everybody has their own little sort of echo chambers and following. That’s now the new world, the idea of stardom has changed,” she ends.

I love my kids more than my job

by jummy84 October 22, 2025

22 October 2025

Sam Claflin misses his kids when he’s working.

Sam Claflin stars in a new thriller series

The 39-year-old actor – who has Pip, nine, and Margot, seven, with his ex-wife Laura Haddock – spends prolonged periods of time away from home while filming movies and TV shows, but Sam admits that his kids will always be his number one priority.

Sam – who stars in Prime Video’s new thriller series, Lazarus – told Us Weekly: “God bless their mum, who was holding down the fort whilst I was away. It was my way of forgetting everything. When I’m with them, it’s all about them.

“I do what I do, in a sense, for them. I love my job, but I love my kids more, and I miss them. I think being a parent just allows you the opportunity to kind of open yourself up in a way that you never thought you would.”

Sam plays a forensic physiologist called Joel in the new thriller series, and he admits that making the show was an “eye opening experience”.

He said: “Playing Joel definitely allowed me to explore parts of my childhood and my life in a way that I never had.

“When you’re honest with yourself and you start really digging deep and figuring out why you keep doing certain things, I think it’s quite an eye opening experience.”

Sam actually found making the series to be an emotionally draining experience.

The actor confessed to feeling “a roller coaster ride of emotions” during the shoot.

He said: “It was just a really emotionally turbulent two weeks. At the end of each day, I’d have no voice left.

“It was a very strenuous time. The whole process of filming was like a roller coaster ride of emotions, and ups and downs, and twists and turns.”

Meanwhile, Sam previously admitted that he pushed himself too far in a “desperate” bid to be nominated for an Oscar.

He told GQ Hype: “I went through a stage of desperately vying for an Oscar but doing things that were really not me. Physically, emotionally transforming myself.

“[2018 film The Nightingale] was too far the other way. I think that was the turning point in my life. I don’t think I could do that again.”

Do Dave Franco & Alison Brie Have Children? What She’s Said About Kids – Hollywood Life

Dave Franco and Alison Brie have become one of Hollywood’s most low-key yet beloved couples. Since meeting over a decade ago, the pair has kept their relationship largely private while continuing to support each other’s careers and collaborate creatively. Their latest joint project was the 2025 body-horror film Together, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and hit U.S. theaters on July 30. Directed by Michael Shanks in his feature debut, the film stars Dave and Alison as a couple whose crumbling marriage takes a bizarre supernatural turn.

As their marriage continues to flourish, many fans have wondered whether the two plan to start a family — especially after Dave was seen holding up two babies at the October 2025 premiere of his film Regretting You. The little ones starred in the film as his character’s child. Over the years, Alison has opened up about motherhood. Below, learn more about their relationship, wedding, and what they’ve said about having children.

Do Dave Franco and Alison Brie Have Children?

As of 2025, Dave and Alison do not have any children.

What Has Alison Brie Said About Wanting Kids?

Alison has spoken candidly about the topic of having children. In a 2018 interview with The Sunday Times, she revealed that she and Dave often joke about not having kids and enjoy their life without them.

“I don’t really want to have kids. It’s great because I don’t worry about when should I get pregnant — between seasons, while we’re shooting the show — I don’t think about it every day. It would be nice, but I think of all the things that would be so stressful,” she said.

“I think about how much we’re involved in our cats’ lives. Oh my God, if it was a child!”

What Projects Have Dave Franco and Alison Brie Worked on Together?

Dave and Alison have built a strong creative partnership over the years. Their first on-screen project together was The Little Hours (2017), a medieval-era romantic comedy. That same year, they appeared in The Disaster Artist, with Dave starring as Greg Sestero and Alison playing his on-screen girlfriend, Amber.

In 2020, the couple co-wrote The Rental, a psychological thriller that marked Dave’s directorial debut and featured Alison in a leading role. They teamed up again for Somebody I Used to Know (2023), an Amazon Original romantic dramedy written by Alison and directed by Dave, with Alison also starring.

Their most recent project, Together (2025), took their collaboration into bold new territory. The surreal body-horror film explores intimacy and identity in a way neither actor had tackled before. Dave described it as “the most intense experience we’ve ever had on set.”

“Part of the reason we started working together was really just to spend time together, because our jobs tear us apart a lot of the time,” Dave explained in an interview with People.

How Did Dave Franco and Alison Brie First Meet?

Dave and Alison met in 2011 during a Mardi Gras party in New Orleans, introduced by a mutual friend who sensed they’d hit it off. In a joint interview with People, the couple recalled that their first night together was a whirlwind—after sharing a drink laced with molly, they spent the evening  “lip-locked.”

How Long Have Dave Franco and Alison Brie Been Married?

Dave and Alison got engaged in 2015 and tied the knot in March 2017. As of 2025, they’ve been married for eight years.

Introducing Artisan Productions – the new(ish) kids on the block

by jummy84 October 22, 2025
written by jummy84

In an industry built on experience and precision, it is not often that a new name makes an impact quite so quickly. But that is exactly what Artisan Productions has been doing.

Founded by Paul Asbridge, a musician turned production managing director, Artisan has grown from a small team supporting live shows into one of the fastest emerging AV production companies in the UK. The approach is simple – combine creativity with technical expertise, but deliver it in a way that feels human, clear and collaborative.

Artisan’s story began by supporting live bands and music events, gradually building a reputation for great sound, smooth delivery and professional attention to detail. It did not take long for that same reputation to reach major clients, venues and event partners.

Today, the company delivers full scale corporate AV and event production across corporate, private and live entertainment sectors. Artisan is now the exclusive AV provider for Merlin Entertainments’ London Venues, including Madame Tussauds, The Riverside Rooms at County Hall and SEA LIFE London Aquarium. The team also partners with the Warwick Schools Foundation, supplying technical production for concerts, theatre performances and corporate events across its estate.

“We built Artisan to bridge the gap between creativity and tech,” says Paul. “Too often clients are handed a spec sheet full of model numbers and jargon. We take that and translate it into what people actually want – clarity, atmosphere, emotion and a seamless experience from start to finish.”

That balance between technical precision and genuine collaboration has become the hallmark of Artisan’s identity. The growing portfolio includes conference AV production, awards dinners, luxury weddings, product launches and international live events. Every project shares the same focus – production that enhances the experience, rather than overwhelming it.

Recent highlights include a global fireside chat for YPO featuring tennis legends The Bryan Brothers at The Riverside Rooms, and a London restaurant launch for Blond:ish, where Artisan delivered a boutique, high quality L Acoustics sound system to match the stylish setting.

With bases in London, Warwickshire and Manchester, Artisan continues to expand, taking on new venue partnerships and building a talented team of engineers and creatives who all share the same belief – do it properly, and do it with people you trust.

Herrmann’s House Is on Fire — Is One of His Kids Inside?

by jummy84 October 16, 2025
written by jummy84

Send everyone! It’s about to get very personal for one of 51’s own in the next Chicago Fire Season 14 episode, airing on Wednesday, October 22. What’s worse: A life may be in serious danger.

The promo for the episode titled “Mercy” begins with a house fire coming in over the radio, and as soon as the address is said, the reaction is immediate. “That’s my house,” Herrmann says and runs. Firehouse 51 rushes to the scene, and it doesn’t look good.

“Annabelle stayed home today,” Herrmann reveals, of course very worried. He rushes inside, yelling for his daughter. Is she in there? Watch the full promo above for a look at the scene in the house. Whatever happens, we know 51 will rally around Herrmann, but that wouldn’t be enough if one of his kids die.

Then, scroll down to see the photos released from this episode. They offer a look at 51 on scene at Herrmann’s as well as back at the firehouse. Plus, see Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) at home with Isaiah (Hero Hunter), whom they’re fostering while his mother recovers. She’d had a setback by the end of the last episode when Kidd took him to see her in the hospital; she needed to have an emergency procedure done to remove fluid around her brain.

But do these photos suggest that things will at least be getting better between Kidd and Isaiah? She’d been worried that he wasn’t warming up to her like Severide and had hoped going shoe shopping, then to see his mom together would help.

The episode description for “Mercy” reads as follows: “Firehouse 51 must band together after a devastating fire catches them off guard. Vasquez [Brandon Larracuente] continues his quest for answers. Violet [Hanako Greensmith] and Novak [Jocelyn Hudon] face an unexpected roadblock in the new training protocol.” In the latest episode, after a paramedic fell asleep at the wheel, causing a crash, due to the CFD changes that have overloaded EMTs with work, Violet came up with an idea: have firefighters, who are dealing with brownouts and being taken off shift for budget cuts, ride with them.

What are you hoping to see in this episode? Check out the photos below, then head to the comments section with your predictions.

D’Angelo left behind a powerful musical legacy and a loving family who continue to honor his memory. The Grammy-winning R&B singer, known for hits like “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” and “Brown Sugar,” died in October 2025 at age 51. His death came just seven months after the loss of his former partner, soul singer Angie Stone, who tragically passed away in a car accident in March of the same year.

As fans reflect on his incredible career and influence on neo-soul, they’re also remembering the love he had for his family that defined his life beyond the stage. Learn more about his personal life below.

How Long Were D’Angelo and Angie Stone Together?

They began dating in the mid-1990s, and they were together for nearly four years. Their romantic and creative partnership overlapped with Brown Sugar and Stone’s Black Diamond era; Stone later called D’Angelo the “love of my life.”

Sources close to D’Angelo said he was “extremely overwhelmed” by grief after Stone’s March 2025 death.

What Was D’Angelo and Angie Stone’s Age Gap?

They had a 13-year age difference (she was 32; he was 19 when they got together). Despite the gap, they toured, wrote, and recorded alongside each other during his breakout years.

While the artist was famously private about his personal life, those close to him said he deeply valued fatherhood and family.

Michael—who records as Swayvo Twain—was by his father’s side near the end, and paid tribute after losing both parents in 2025.

I’m not sure how I’ll be able to live on without you, but I’ll never forget all of your advice and things you’ve told me on how to get through this life.”

Was D’Angelo Married Before He Died?

No, D’Angelo was never married.
