bitchy | Princess Kate ‘thoroughly enjoyed’ decorating her latest forever home, Forest Lodge

written by jummy84

Over the years, we’ve gotten glimpses of the Prince and Princess of Wales’ many forever homes. Especially during the pandemic, it felt like we got a look inside Anmer Hall, and there have been a handful of photos of their entertaining space in Kensington Palace too. None of it seems like it’s particularly notable design-wise. I strongly suspect that Kate doesn’t have much of an eye for interior design, and that her homes lack cohesion in general. Well, Kate has a new home and a new project: decorating her latest forever home, Forest Lodge. That’s probably the real reason no one has seen her for weeks. She’s too busy picking out rage-cushions and thunder-stealing curtains.

As Kate and William settle into their ‘forever home’ at Forest Lodge with their three children, there will be much for them to admire in their new surroundings, including Venetian windows, marble fireplaces and a barrel-vaulted hall ceiling. No wonder that Kate, a keen interior designer, is said to have ‘thoroughly enjoyed’ renovating the property, picking up much of the furnishings from high-end British brands.

The eight-bedroom home is twice the size of Adelaide Cottage, where the family lived most recently, giving the royal plenty of space to put her personal touch on. And if their previous residences are anything to go by, the home will likely be kitted out in Kate’s signature ‘contemporary classic’ look – which has previously been described as ‘lovely’ and yet ‘completely inoffensive’.

It is understood that the Princess of Wales has dressed up her new home with opulent décor from Marina Mill, a company that specialises in hand designing and screen printing fabrics, costing upwards of £100 a metre. The mill, which Kate visited in September, has supplied dozens of royal homes, including Buckingham Palace, Clarence House and Highgrove and is world-renowned for the quality of its fabrics, as well as the fact that they still do everything by hand.

Kate has also been seen picking out a 24-seater dining table from a warehouse that specialises in antiques, indicating that the future Queen is hoping to host dinner parties at the property.

It is also thought that Kate and William may also make structural changes to the property. They previously moved the kitchen to the centre of the property in Anmer Hall, their country residence on the Sandringham Estate.

The 328-year-old Forest Lodge – which has six bathrooms – has undergone modest internal and external renovations, including new doors and windows, the stripping out of walls, renovated ceilings and new floors. It was last renovated in 2001 at a cost of £1.5million.

The Waleses have funded their move and refurbishment themselves and will be paying market rent to the Crown Estate.

[From The Daily Mail]

“Kate has also been seen picking out a 24-seater dining table from a warehouse that specialises in antiques…” The “warehouse” is some kind of Royal Collection depot, and only royals can use the furniture and artwork found in the warehouse. What an odd way to describe it, right? And the mention of the six bathrooms!! Take that, Harry and Meghan! The Waleses have SIX bathrooms! Still fewer than the number of bathrooms at Casa de Sussex, but sure. As for Kate’s questionable decorating skills… yeah, “completely inoffensive” is a pretty strange way to describe a style. That’s Kate’s aim in all things though, to be completely inoffensive. What is completely inoffensive interior design? White walls and nice woodwork?

Out in theaters at the end of the year just in time for Christmas. Directed by Craig Brewer (Hustle & Flow, Black Snake Moan, Footloose), this is a fictional adaptation of the documentary of the same name – about Lightning and Thunder, a Milwaukee husband and wife Neil Diamond tribute act, experience soaring success and devastating heartbreak in their musical journey together. The upbeat music film stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson as Mike Sardina and Claire Sardina. Two down-on-their-luck musicians form a joyous Neil Diamond tribute band, proving it is never too late to find love and to follow your dreams. Also starring Michael Imperioli, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir, Hudson Hensley, with Fisher Stevens and Jim Belushi. It looks joyous & upbeat & entertaining in all the right ways. bitchy | Prince William & Kate have officially moved into Forest Lodge already

The greatest trick the royalist devil ever tried to pull was convincing anyone that the Princess of Wales has a say in what happens within the Windsor clan. Please. That’s pure Middleton PR. Not even Kensington Palace tries to convince people of that, and that’s technically Kate’s office. So it was funny to me that some unnamed source told People Magazine that Kate and Queen Camilla deserve credit for the banishment of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. The source claimed that there was “a push from Camilla and Catherine” and a woman’s touch on the king’s statement. BS. What’s also funny is that now Andrew will be living close to William and Kate’s favorite of their ten forever homes: Anmer Hall, on the Sandringham estate. W&K go to Norfolk constantly. William enjoys larping as a Turnip Toff and Kate just prefers being in Norfolk, in general. Well, now Uncle Andy will be able to stop by Anmer at any time, right? What’s also pretty funny is that Will and Kate are officially moved-in to Forest Lodge, which means they’ll spend their first two months at their latest forever home just down the road for Andrew and Sarah too.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have moved into their new “forever” home, making them temporarily closer neighbours with the disgraced Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. The Telegraph can reveal the couple and their three children relocated from Adelaide Cottage over half term and are now settling into their new abode, Forest Lodge, where they plan to remain after William becomes King.

For a short time, they will be close neighbours of the former Duke of York, whose Royal Lodge mansion is just a two-mile hop across Windsor Great Park. Prince William did not attend the meetings last week as Buckingham Palace finally moved to strip his uncle of his titles and force him out of his grand home on the Crown Estate. But his closest aides were kept abreast of developments and William “fully supported” the King’s decision.

The heir to the throne had long made clear that he felt a harder line should be taken on Andrew and that he did not want the debacle dragging over into his own reign. The Waleses were also said to be concerned about the Windsor estate being tainted by association with the former prince. Having decided to make Forest Lodge their long-term family home, it suits the couple to be geographically distanced from Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, who will move out in January.

The red-bricked Georgian mansion, once described as a “very substantial house in one of the loveliest settings in the country”, is a notable step up from their former home, the more modest, four-bedroomed Adelaide Cottage. It boasts eight bedrooms and six bathrooms, a long gallery, a separate staff flat, a tennis court and a large pond. The house is protected by a ha-ha, a sunken fence commonly installed in landscaped gardens in the 18th century to give the illusion of an unbroken view while providing boundaries for grazing livestock.

The move was announced in August and the Prince and Princess initially planned to relocate by Christmas. But building work was completed earlier than expected and the family’s belongings were gradually transferred to the newly renovated property, which is protected by a large security cordon.

[From The Telegraph]

First of all, it sounds like William and Kate were not actually in Windsor to oversee the move into Forest Lodge. Please, they have people for that! Secondly, “Prince William did not attend the meetings last week…but his closest aides were kept abreast of developments and William ‘fully supported’ the King’s decision.” Even more evidence that the Middleton-Waleses were on vacation for the past two weeks, Huevo was too lazy to attend the meetings about banishing Andrew. I thought William was “ruthless”? I thought he was rage-shrieking about his uncle 24-7? And he didn’t give a sh-t enough to go to the meetings? Last thing… so, why isn’t Kate going to Rio for Earthshot again? We were told she couldn’t go because she had to organize the move into Forest Lodge. Well, the move happened. So what’s her excuse now? Let me guess, she has to organize her new Wiglet Room as she stares wistfully out on the 150 acres she stole from a public park.

bitchy | The Forest Lodge move is because Princess Kate ‘wants & needs a country life’

Where is the Princess of Wales’s “Autumn” video? You know, the video from her Mother Nature/Four Seasons series, one of the dumbest “projects” to ever come out of Kensington Palace’s Keen Busywork Department. We didn’t get the “summer” video until pretty late in the season, which makes me believe that we’ll probably get the new video in mid-November, down to the wire! Anyway, just a reminder that we haven’t actually seen Prince William in two weeks and we haven’t seen Kate in more than two weeks. William will be in Rio next week, and I assume that means Kate will still be doing f–k all publicly. Because don’t you know, she’s in charge of the big move to Forest Lodge! They’re still struggling to put a bow on this latest “forever home” move, which is why Ingrid C-Word got sent out to wax rhapsodic about Kate’s love of being a simple country wife.

Kate Middleton and Prince William are signaling a different kind of life in their move to Windsor. As they prepare to settle into their new eight-bedroom home at Forest Lodge with their children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, it is clearly the leafy, country surroundings that they want for their family rather than city life. Forest Lodge is being called the family’s “forever home,” and they are set to live there even when William accedes to the throne.

There is a sense that the family’s three-year stay at Adelaide Cottage enabled them to test the waters and see if they could envisage living in the area for longer. That is certainly the case, palace insiders have told PEOPLE. Forest Lodge is a distinct upgrade from Adelaide and shows they are really putting down roots in the estate and parklands close to Windsor Castle.

“They like it around Windsor, and they’ve established themselves there,” Ingrid Seward, author of My Mother & I, says.

In a break from the practice of senior royals in the past, they don’t have live-in staff (it’s believed that the children’s nanny, Maria Turrion Borrallo, who has been with the family since George was a baby, and the housekeeper live at other smaller properties on the estate). They will also be paying the market rent for the property.

As well as renovations in the magnificent home, new trees have been planted and a security cordon has been created surrounding the house with about 150 acres.

Kate, 43, has stressed how important being out in nature has been for her recovery from cancer treatment – and the well-being it brings for young and old alike.

Seward believes that the royals have felt they were “prisoners” in Kensington Palace. The author, who is editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, points to the fact that Kate used to like the walk the dogs in the park that bounded the palace. However, in practice, there was only the field where the helicopters landed behind the palace to do so, which is backed up to embassies.

“In London, there was a lack of the kind of life that Kate has decided she wants and needs. She wants a country life,” Seward says.

Now, as they look towards the end of the year, Princess Kate is planning her annual Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey, where they will celebrate some of the people, causes and charities that they have encountered during the last 12 months. Before then, William heads off solo to Brazil for a week around his innovative environmental awards, the Earthshot Prize. There, he will be supported by celebrities Kylie Minogue and Shawn Mendes in a star-studded show.

“They seem to have their lives very well under control, more than organized,” Seward adds. “It feels to me that they’re they themselves are holding the reins of their life and not letting anyone else do it. But I feel that William and Kate really are holding their own reins which is great.”

[From People]

“There was a lack of the kind of life that Kate has decided she wants and needs. She wants a country life…” I’m reminded of the Middleton PR around Pippa Middleton’s wedding back in 2017, when Carole basically sounded like a mother from a Jane Austen novel, treating her daughters as the “local beauties” of Bucklebury who simply wanted to be “married at home” and have simple, country lives. For Kate, it’s less about “being in the country” and more about living the kind of lifestyle she wants: that of a wealthy stay-at-home mother without a job. Little to no work, little to no expectations, just a vast, empty schedule which can be filled with tennis, school runs and drinking. Which would be fine if Kate, like Pippa, had just married some terribly moderately wealthy guy. But Kate is going to be queen consort! A work-from-home queen consort who does f–k all and lives grandly on her makeshift 150-acre estate.

Prince William and Princess Kate call for ‘better, more sustainable world’

31 October 2025

Prince William and Princess Kate have called for a “better, more sustainable world” in a new social media post.

Prince William and Princess Kate have called for a ‘better, more sustainable world’ in a new social media post

Just after King Charles formally began the process of stripping Prince Andrew of his titles and honours, the couple, both 43, shared the message on their Kensington Royal X account as part of ongoing promotion for the Earthshot Prize, William’s environmental initiative recognising global projects tackling climate change.

The post included a two-minute video highlighting finalists from Barbados, Bangladesh and the United States, describing how each is helping communities adapt to environmental challenges.

William and Kate wrote: “We envision a world that’s a better, more sustainable home for everyone. A world where greenhouse gas emissions are falling, and carbon-neutral economies help protect the most vulnerable. A world like this is within reach.”

It was the fifth consecutive day the Prince and Princess of Wales had posted Earthshot content, following videos released throughout the past week.

William, unveiling the Earthshot shortlist earlier this month, reflected on the urgency of the prize’s mission.

He said: “Back then, a decade felt a long time. George was seven, Charlotte five and Louis two; the thought of them in 2030 felt a lifetime away. But today, as we stand halfway through this critical decade, 2030 feels very real.”

Five winners will each receive £1 million when the Earthshot Prize is awarded on 5 November at the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro, ahead of the COP30 UN climate summit.

The latest Earthshot message appeared less than a day after Buckingham Palace confirmed King Charles, 76, had ordered the removal of Andrew’s HRH style, titles and honours.

In a statement, the Palace said: “Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”

It added: “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

Andrew, 65, is expected to vacate Royal Lodge and live privately under the King’s care at Sandringham Estate.

Royal sources told The Daily Mail that he could receive around £500,000 as part of the early termination of his lease agreement.

Meanwhile, Republic, the anti-monarchy campaign group, said it had instructed lawyers to explore a private prosecution against Andrew over allegations relating to his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.

bitchy | Jones: ‘Icy’ Princess Kate is the reason why Prince Andrew will move out of Royal Lodge

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Over the past five years or so, there’s been a consistent move to give the Princess of Wales “credit” for all kinds of things. There was a months-long storyline in 2021 about Kate acting as the linchpin of the family, and the keen peacemaker between Prince Harry and Prince William. That narrative fell apart, not least of which because William clearly disregards Kate and her opinions and always has. There are consistent storylines about “Kate wants this or that” regarding the Sussexes and none of it ever pans out. Well, now they’re trying to say that Kate is pulling strings behind-the-scenes on the fiasco involving Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. Nevermind that everything that’s happened in the past two weeks is “Classic Dithering Charles.” Why anyone wants to give Kate “credit” for this unfolding catastrophe is beyond me, but the Daily Mail’s Liz Jones insists that Icy Kate is behind it all.

Prince Andrew is rumoured to have agreed to call in the removal men, vacate the 30-room, 98-acre Royal Lodge, and relocate himself and his teddies to Frogmore Cottage – formerly the home of Harry and Meghan, where the yoga studio is still in situ, providing a place where he can continue to tie himself in knots. He wants his ex-wife, Sarah, to have nearby Adelaide Cottage – he’s after a two-for-one, clearly, though doubtless has never been inside Tesco – which is soon to be vacated by William, Kate and their children.

In this regal version of Relocation, Relocation, the Waleses are off to Forest Lodge. Billed as their ‘forever home’ it is just a short trot along a tree-lined avenue from… Royal Lodge. It’s little wonder then that William is rumoured to be the driving force behind Andrew’s exit. He’s supposedly determined to ensure his ‘beyond hideous’ uncle – as TV’s Emily Maitlis says the Prince of Wales regards Andrew – will not be his new nightmare neighbour.

But let’s not forget Kate, another instrumental player in the lodge-off. She isn’t a blood relative of her husband’s creepy uncle. Her life’s work is to protect children. And apparently, she ‘shudders at the thought of living so close to Royal Lodge’. She doesn’t see this as just a scandal that threatens the Monarchy and therefore her offspring’s secure future, but as one that has already ruined the lives of scores of young women.

The way in which Andrew signed off his emails to Jeffrey Epstein – with ‘A, HRH, the Duke of York, KG’ – would alone make Kate shudder. She wears her titles lightly, can shrug them off like a too-heavy coat when kneeling to comfort children, or those suffering from cancer. She no longer wants to rub padded shoulders with a man who spent time with an already convicted paedophile or his ex-wife, a woman who sent that paedophile toe-curlingly cringy emails, calling him her ‘supreme friend’.

There is no doubt Kate will have strong views on this unfolding royal fiasco. She knows her power. Look at how swiftly, unflinchingly she saw off Meghan. Remember that icy stare when the formerly Fab Four did a walkabout before Queen Elizabeth’s funeral? She is like a lioness, protecting her territory. And anyone who can come through cancer is not to be messed with Cancer survivors are the strongest people you will ever meet.

Charles has been slow to grasp the Andrew question. William has been, too. But like any mother of three children, Kate just wants it done. Today. To roll up her sleeves and clean the house, in more ways than one. As the only jewel left shining brightly in the Crown, what Kate wants, Kate gets.

Well, at least they’re not pretending that Kate is just a dishrag with no opinions on anything. It’s true that Kate has an “icy stare” and, in my opinion, it’s true that Kate is a raging B. It’s not true that “what Kate wants, Kate gets.” Kate did not want to be sent to a four-bedroom cottage in Windsor for over three years. Kate does not want to send her kids to boarding schools (but that’s what will happen). Kate does not want to work… and they’re letting her get away with that. It’s interesting that Kate is getting “credit” for “seeing off Meghan” too, right? It’s almost an admission that Kate bullied the f–k out of her sister-in-law. Baby Brain strikes again!

bitchy | Princess Kate will skip the Rio Earthshot events because of the Forest Lodge move

It’s still fascinating to see the complete lack of commentary around the Princess of Wales refusing to attend her husband’s Earthshot Prize ceremonies. Kate only went to the first two Earthshot events. She skipped in 2023 because “George had a test,” a hilariously dumb excuse. She skipped last year because her health was too fragile to travel internationally for anything other vacations. Speaking of, Kate has traveled a lot this year – several ski trips to the Alps, a vacation in Mustique in February, several weeks on a yacht in Greece, and probably several more vacations which we don’t even know about. But when it comes time to travel for “work,” Kate begs off. She will not join her husband in Rio. She even had a brand-new excuse: she can’t go to Rio because she’s moving into Forest Lodge!

Kate Middleton won’t join Prince William in Brazil for a key royal outing. The Prince of Wales, 43, is set to travel solo to Rio de Janeiro for his Earthshot Prize awards ceremony on Nov. 5. The Earthshot Prize “searches the world for environmental solutions that show the greatest potential.” During the event, William and a distinguished prize council will announce the five winners with a prize of £1 million, or around $1.3 million.

Following the events in Rio, William will then head to the UN climate conference in Belém, Brazil, on Nov. 6.

Meanwhile, Princess Kate will be staying home with the couple’s three children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

This year, Kate will be focused not only on taking care of the kids during their half-term break from Lambrook School and her ongoing recovery after announcing she was in remission from cancer, but she’s also seeing her family through a major transition.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ family plans to move from Adelaide Cottage in Windsor to the nearby Forest Lodge in the coming weeks, upgrading from the four-bedroom abode to the eight-bedroom home on the Windsor Great Park estate.

The relocation serves as a fresh start for the family, who have endured a trying few years since moving to Adelaide Cottage in August 2022. Following that transition, the royal family mourned the loss of William’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth, as well as Kate and King Charles’ dual cancer diagnoses.

[From People]

“I can’t support my husband’s busywork scheme because I’m organizing our move into our fifth forever home which includes a 150-acre land grab of a public park” is quite an excuse. Granted, I acknowledge that much of this isn’t even Kate’s choice. While I doubt she wants to go to any Earthshot events, William absolutely does not want her there. That goes back to all of those suspicious stories in 2023, about how we would see William stepping out solo more often, and how he acts like a hot divorced dad or something. They were hyping up Solo/Single William a lot in the months before Kate’s mysterious hospitalization in January 2024.

Meghan and Kate Both Wear These Boots With Skinny Jeans

Before we get started, I’d like to clarify one thing. I’m not here to stir up any royal drama, I’m simply reporting on similar fashion choices I observe among members of England’s most famous family. In other words, I’m more concerned with millinery than marriages and suiting instead of scandals. What’s making Daily Mail headlines these days? I haven’t the faintest idea! I do, however, know what Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, have been wearing lately.

In a new video on her personal Instagram account, Meghan Markle shared a cute behind-the-scenes look at her family’s outing at a pumpkin patch. In the Reel, the duchess wears an Anine Bing Luca Jacket (that’s sadly sold out), black skinny jeans, and Co Leather Riding Boots ($1195). You know who else loves to pair flat knee-high boots with skinny jeans? Kate Middleton. In fact, it’s one of her signature outfits for fall and winter. Scroll down to see how both women style the winning combo and shop it for yourself.
