Kate Middleton Has Carried This Timeless Leather Tote for Nearly a Decade

Crafted from the brand’s signature crossgrain leather, the Panama East West tote with zip bag boasts ample room inside its sleek silhouette. The brand promises, “Sturdy enough for travel, it can hold all your belongings when you’re en route, or easily fit your laptop for weekdays to and from the office. Its long handles make carrying everything you need feel comfortable and look effortless.”

Certainly, it has proved the perfect choice for the Princess of Wales as she follows her whirlwind schedule of engagements. The bag has been spotted on overseas tours, official engagements and helicopter rides with her family. Among the highlights were the royal tour to Pakistan in 2019 and to Denmark in 2022.

For most official engagements, Kate will carry essentials in a smaller handbag, with an aide, like Deputy Private Secretary Natalie Barrows, tasked with carrying other belongings in a larger, second bag. However, there are occasions when she chooses to carry her own larger bag. Today was one such outing—as the Princess of Wales stepped out of her car, she casually carried her Smythson tote in one hand, with the zipper casually undone. It is likely to have contained the notes the Princess needed for her address to the landmark early years summit.

The handbag, pictured, has space for a laptop and Kate’s essentials for travel and official engagements

“Maybe if I’m lucky, I’ll come back as snow. Then I’ll see you all at Christmastime.” ❄️ Netflix has revealed their official trailer for a drama from Kate Winslet titled Goodbye June, arriving to watch starting in December this fall. The film not only stars Kate Winslet, it is also her feature directorial debut. She helped produce the film Lee but this is her first time directing anything and it looks like a heartwarming film about family. The story follows a big group of fractured siblings who must come together under sudden and trying circumstances. It’s hitting theaters first for a few weeks before streaming at the holidays. The film takes place just before Christmas, when an unexpected turn in their mother’s health thrusts four adult siblings & their exasperating father into chaos as they navigate messy family dynamics. However, June, orchestrates her decline on her own terms — with biting humour, blunt honesty, and plenty of love. The film stars Toni Collette, Johnny Flynn, Andrea Riseborough, Timothy Spall, Kate Winslet, and Helen Mirren. Along with Stephen Merchant, Fisayo Akinade, Jeremy Swift, and Raza Jaffrey. Well, now that’s a seriously impressive cast! This looks deeply emotional and intimate, a bit about how chaotic all families are.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Kate Winslet’s film Goodbye June, direct from YouTube:

Goodbye June Poster

The film takes place just before Christmas, when an unexpected turn in their mother’s health thrusts four adult siblings and their exasperating father into chaos as they navigate messy family dynamics in the face of potential loss. But their quick-witted mother, June (starring Helen Mirren), orchestrates her decline on her own terms — with biting humour, blunt honesty, and a lot of love. Goodbye June is directed by Oscar-winning British actress / filmmaker Kate Winslet, making her feature directorial debut after producing her film Lee previously. The screenplay is written by Joe Anders. Produced by Kate Solomon & Kate Winslet. This hasn’t premiered at any film festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. Netflix debuts Kate Winslet’s Goodbye June film playing in select US theaters on December 12th, 2025, then it will begin streaming on Netflix starting December 24th during the holidays right at the end of the year. bitchy | Princess Kate will host her annual Christmas carol event on December 5

by jummy84 November 14, 2025
written by jummy84

A few days ago, Netflix released the air date and poster for With Love, Meghan’s holiday special. It will be released on December 3. There was some muttering about Meghan “choosing” a release date which would be on or around the Princess of Wales’s big Christmas caroling event. Considering Kate hadn’t released any confirmation of anything yet, it was funny to watch the deranged community get huffy about it in advance. Well, good news for Kate – her Christmas event will be staged two days after the release of WLM’s Holiday Special.

Kate Middleton is continuing a Christmas tradition — with a little help from a Hollywood star. At midnight on Nov. 13, local time, Kensington Palace announced that the Princess of Wales, 43, will host her fifth annual “Together at Christmas” Carol Service on Friday, Dec. 5, at Westminster Abbey in London.

The announcement also revealed that Kate Winslet, Hannah Waddingham, Dan Smith and Chiwetel Ejiofor are all involved. Winslet, an Academy Award-winning actor, will attend after her appointment as an ambassador for The King’s Foundation, one of King Charles’ personal charities, in June.

As for what’s to come at the festive event on Dec. 5, a palace statement said, “Combining traditional and modern elements to encompass people of all faiths and none, the service will see the world-renowned Westminster Abbey choir sing some of the nation’s most beloved carols, alongside musical performances and readings by guests including Hannah Waddingham, Dan Smith, Kate Winslet and Chiwetel Ejiofor.”

“The Service will also showcase stories of some of the incredible guests in the congregation, who are leading by example and helping to create a more connected society,” it continued.

The theme for this year’s event is “love in all its forms.”

“This year, the Service will bring people together to celebrate love in all its forms — whether it’s love within families, through friendships, across communities or even through powerful moments of connection with strangers. In a world that can often feel fragmented and disconnected, love is the force that reconnects us all – spanning generations, communities, cultures and faiths,” the statement said.

“As we approach the Christmas season, we are reminded of the power of togetherness. The evening will highlight the transformative power of investing in one another with compassion, presence and joy,” it added.

[From People]

Hannah Waddingham is showing up the opening of an envelope these days, especially when it comes to anything royal or royal-adjacent. Good for her, in general, to strike while the iron is hot when she got her biggest break in her 40s. Kate Winslet is another one cozying up to the royals a lot lately, and I have no idea why. But Chiwetel?? Hm. Anyway, I’m sure the Princess of Wales will have all three kids there and maybe William will show up too. While this is barely discussed in the British media, the viewership for these specials has cratered in recent years. It will be interesting to see if any outlets try to do a head-to-head match-up between “Together at Christmas” and WLM’s Holiday Special.

bitchy | Princess Kate repeated a Catherine Walker coat for a solo Armistice Day event

by jummy84 November 12, 2025
written by jummy84

The Princess of Wales was out today on a scheduled event for Armistice Day (Veterans Day here in America). She visited the National Memorial Arboretum, and this was her first solo event in a month or longer. Kate was the “senior royal” sent to observe a moment of silence for veterans. This job usually goes to a “blood royal,” but there are so few of them around these days, this event is left to the married-ins. Um, where the hell is William?

Kate wore a repeat – she’s worn this Catherine Walker coat to Remembrance Sundays in years past. I call this one her Sgt. Pepper coat because of the tassels and chest embroidery. During her outing on Sunday at the Cenotaph, I noted that Kate’s eyebrows look somewhat crazy right now. You can see it again in these photos. Is she just filling them out too much? What’s going on there?

It’s also noteworthy that Queen Camilla was out this morning too. Cam stole Kate’s thunder on Armistice Day! Camilla visited the London Paddington train station as part of the ‘Poppies to Paddington’ event.

bitchy | Princess Kate repeated a Catherine Walker coat for Remembrance Sunday

by jummy84 November 10, 2025

I used to get mad when the Princess of Wales repeated a black coat for Remembrance Sunday. It felt like, hey, this is one of the big dates on your calendar, just buy a new black coat. But honestly, Kate now has so many black coats and they only get pulled out for Remembrance events and the occasional funeral, so why not just stick with the pieces she already has? That’s what she did this year – she re-wore a Catherine Walker coat, the same one she wore for Remembrance Sunday in 2022. She did change the way she styled it though – she added a prissy, Victorian-looking lace ruffle and jabot, which I assume is part of the dress (or Victorian dressing gown) she’s wearing underneath the coat. Kate also wore pearl earrings (the Bahrain pearl-and-diamond ones she consistently borrows) and a poppy crafted by Izzy Ager of Lock & Co. I also think Kate’s hat is new? The hat is doing the most to obscure the fact that Kate’s eyebrows look insane, like she drew them on with a Sharpie.

Below, I’m including more photos from the Remembrance Sunday wreath-laying at the Cenotaph. Prince William actually turned up to the Cenotaph after skipping the Festival of Remembrance the night before. William looked pretty grim about it too – honestly, in nearly every photo I saw of him, he looked absolutely disgusted. What a weird energy to bring to Remembrance Sunday? Of course, Kate and Camilla had a weird energy on the balcony too – they were gossiping and giggling and there’s a really weird “wiglets at dawn” photo where they’re facing each other. Sophie (the Duchess of Edinburgh) was also on a balcony, and I assume Prince Edward was on the ground with the other men.

Because of Kate Middleton, We Only Want to Wear Scarves Like This

by jummy84 November 9, 2025

If you thought you’d mastered the neck scarf, think again, because you haven’t seen Kate Middleton’s take on it yet.

If you’re up-to-date with trends, you’ll know that this small piece of fabric has become one of the season’s biggest obsessions, whether worn as a choker or wrapped around our waists. However, it took the Princess of Wales to show us the most elegant, dramatic, and special way to wear it: With all the pomp and ceremony we love.

It happened during the Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph War Memorial in London, an event where we see her every year in formal black, as protocol dictates. And while it’s already a tradition for us to note the coat dresses she usually wears to this event—and the hats she often pairs with them—this time was different. The scarf she chose stole the show.

Peeking out from the top of her collar and draping over her coat, this lacy scarf has become the accessory we didn’t know we needed. It would be a perfect ally to add a different touch to our winter looks, giving them a hint of theatricality that we love.

Before Saturday evening, November 8, no one had seen the Princess of Wales for three-and-a-half weeks. She was last seen in public on October 14 in Northern Ireland, and then she made a brief appearance at Windsor Castle one day later. And that was it – she was in the wind, on vacation and moving into her latest forever home, Forest Lodge. Last night was the Festival of Remembrance, always a big night for the Windsors – all of the working royals (and even a few non-working royals) are expected to show up en masse for a concert ahead of Remembrance Sunday (today).

The Festival of Remembrance would have been a perfect moment for Prince William, fresh from his Brazilian Flop Trip, to show up with a refreshed-looking Kate and show that they are both ready to take over, that they are perfectly in sync and Kate definitely didn’t skip the Brazilian trip because William doesn’t want to spend any time with his wife. Alas, William did not show up to the Festival of Remembrance. I’m trying to think if there was ever a time when then-Prince Charles skipped ANY Remembrance event. I don’t think Charles ever shirked those dates. William’s absence is most likely related to his five-day trip to Brazil, but he left mid-day Friday (from what I can tell) and would have been back in the UK with plenty of time to spare, even flying commercially. Still, British outlets were told that the Brazil-to-London turnaround was “impractical” for Scooter King. He’s showing his real priorities constantly.

Kate brought a distraction from William’s absence – their eldest child, Prince George. This was George’s first Remembrance event (and his father wasn’t there to see it). King Charles pulled Kate and George up to the front tier of the balcony alongside himself and Camilla.

Fashion notes: Kate wore a new Alessandra Rich dress which retails for £1,685. She also wore the HMS Glasgow brooch and earrings which belonged to QEII.

Kate Middleton Channels Princess Diana as Prince George Makes His Festival of Remembrance Debut

Kate Middleton channelled Princess Diana in a black dress with a white frill collar as she brought Prince George to the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall for the first time.

Making her first public appearance in three weeks, the Princess of Wales looked elegant in the black Alessandra Rich dress, which she wore with her favourite Scottish Silver Thistle Brooch and poppy pin. Rather than arriving on the arm of her husband, Prince William, Kate Middleton arrived with her son Prince George, 12, who looked smart in a suit and tie and dutifully shook hands as he arrived at the central London concert venue.

In a dramatic shift from her traditional all-black Remembrance ensembles, the Princess of Wales opted for the somber black dress with contrasting prairie collar. The outfit was reminiscent of one worn by Princess Diana at the 25th London Film Festival, although many of the late royal’s looked featured the distinctive oversized collar.

Middleton added sparkle with her Bahrain Pearl Drop Earrings, which once belonged to Queen Elizabeth II. The Princess of Wales has worn the jewels on a number of previous occasions—and they have a fascinating history. The then Princess Elizabeth created from a cache of seven pearls, which she received as a wedding present in 1947 from the Hakim of Bahrain. The earrings are comprised of round diamond studs, from which are suspended round and baguette-cut diamonds in an Art Deco style, plus two of of the Bahrain pearls.

In the earl years of her marriage, the Queen wore these earrings often for gala occasions and official portraits, including one taken in the 1950s—when she teamed them with two other wedding presents, including the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara and the City of London Fringe Necklace. In 1982, the Queen loaned the earrings to Princess Diana, who appeared to like them just as much, often teaming them with Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara, which was another favourite.

It marked Prince George’s first appearance at a Remembrance event and a major moment in his preparation as a King-in-waiting.
