As per a source close to the actor, Alwyn has “no intention” of reaching out and he’s just fine keeping it that way.
Addressing The Daily Mail, an insider divulged that Joe Alwyn, 34, has not reached out to Swift nor is he going to following her engagement to the NFL player. “He hasn’t contacted her, nor will he,” said the source, explaining that there’s no ill will but Alwyn doesn’t feel communication is necessary. “He truly hopes she is well and in a good place,” the source continued, but noted that Swift “wouldn’t want to hear from him anyway.”
The outlet also indicated that Kelce’s romantic proposal was “the last nail in the coffin” for any second thoughts Alwyn might have had about reuniting with him. But he apparently “doesn’t think about her anymore on any regular basis,” and is committed to getting on with his life and career.
Alwyn’s Life After the Breakup
Alwyn and Swift dated for six years before ending their relationship quietly in 2023. Although Swift briefly dated musician Matty Healy before settling down with Kelce, Alwyn has remained relatively out of the limelight, pursuing his acting career and living in London.
