EXCLUSIVE: Five year-old child actor Wesley River, who recently made his screen debut on hit TV series The Pitt, has joined indie movie Foster, alongside James Franco, Ron Perlman, and Natalie Burn.

Filming has recently wrapped on the 1980s-set action-thriller whose plot reads: “Donald “Don” Foster (Franco) is a man haunted by his past and clawing his way through sobriety, who just wants peace — one day at a time. A2IM Appoints Ian Harrison as CEO, Succeeding Richard James Burgess

The American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) has announced that Ian Harrison, executive vp at Hopeless Records, will become the organization’s next CEO as of Oct. 1. Harrison — who has spent more than 20 years at Hopeless — takes over for Richard James Burgess, who is stepping down at the end of this year after a 10-year period as A2IM CEO.

Related

Harrison has been a key figure in the development of Hopeless, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year with a retrospective exhibit at Indie Week highlighting its work with All Time Low, Avenged Sevenfold, Yellowcard, Taking Back Sunday and many more. He’s also been an advocate for the indie community at large, having been involved in A2IM since 2012 and served on the boards of the Worldwide Independent Network and Music Business Association; he was a Billboard Indie Power Players honoree for each of the past two years, and has helped the Hopeless Foundation raise more than $3.5 million for mental health and music-related charities.

“The independent community is stronger and more dynamic than ever, yet also facing accelerating challenges that will test our resilience and adaptability. A2IM exists to ensure our members can grow independently in the face of these changes and thrive on their own terms,” Harrison said in a statement about his new role. “I am grateful to the A2IM Board for their trust as I step into the CEO role at such a pivotal moment. I take on this responsibility with a deep commitment to serving our community. I am especially grateful to Dr. Richard James Burgess for a decade of exceptional leadership that established A2IM as a vital voice in our industry, and to [A2IM GM] Lisa Hresko and the entire A2IM team whose dedication makes our work so impactful. This includes remembering our colleague Alex Machurov, whose contributions and spirit will remain part of A2IM’s legacy.

“I also want to thank Louis Posen and my colleagues at Hopeless Records, where I spent the past two decades, for shaping me as a leader and deepening my commitment to this community,” Harrison continued. “Independent music has been my life’s work, and I am excited to serve in this new capacity. I look forward to working closely with our members, the global trade organization community, commercial partners and policymakers to ensure independent voices remain at the center of the music industry’s future.”

Burgess, who ends his tenure after a decade in the role, oversaw significant growth for the organization, which now boasts more than 700 indie labels in its membership, and helped further develop and expand both A2IM’s Indie Week conference and the related Libera Awards, honoring the best in indie music each year. He also helped define A2IM’s role as an advocate in Washington on behalf of the indie community, helping shore up and bolster lobbying efforts in the capital amid a period of great upheaval and consolidation.

“I am honored to have served this extraordinary community for the past decade, and I could not be more pleased to welcome Ian Harrison as A2IM’s next CEO,” Burgess said in a statement. “Ian’s deep experience and lifelong commitment to independent music position him perfectly to guide A2IM into its next chapter. I look forward to supporting a seamless transition and to watching him take the organization, and the indie community it represents, to new heights.”

While Harrison will officially take on his new role this Wednesday, Burgess will remain as part of A2IM through the end of the year to see out the transition.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Ian Harrison as our new CEO,” Beggars Group president and A2IM’s executive committee chair Nabil Ayers said in a statement. “Ian has spent his entire career championing independent music, and now he’ll bring that same passion and energy to serving the entire community of independent labels. I’m confident he will build on the incredible foundation Richard James Burgess established over the past decade and skillfully lead A2IM into its next chapter of growth and advocacy.”

James Gunn on Peacemaker Twist, Brandon Sklenar as Batman

by jummy84 September 28, 2025
written by jummy84

[This story contains spoilers through Peacemaker season two’s sixth episode, “Ignorance Is Chris.”]

When Peacemaker creator James Gunn conceived season two’s seismic twist, the first person he consulted was his Leota Adebayo actor, Danielle Brooks.

Throughout the second season, Christopher “Peacemaker” Smith (John Cena) has been enamored with an alternate dimension that he was able to access via his family’s Quantum Unfolding Chamber (QUC). Earth-2 seemingly provided him with everything he’s been lacking in his own dimension, including a caring version of his father (Robert Patrick’s Auggie), an emotionally available Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) and a grown-up version of his brother, Keith (David Denman). The latter didn’t suffer the same accidental childhood death that Earth-1’s Keith did at the hands of his younger brother, Chris.

By the end of season two’s fifth episode, “Back to the Suture,” Chris decided to permanently relocate to Earth-2 so that he could finally be the son, brother, romantic partner and well-regarded hero that’s eluded him in his own world. However, he was so caught up in his own personal life that he couldn’t see the forest for the trees. This dimension’s Evergreen, Washington, which he put on a pedestal, turns out to be a round-the-clock “sundown town,” a place that excludes people of color. The reason being is that Earth-2 consists of an alt-history in which the German Reich won World War II.

The 11th Street Kids of Harcourt, John Economos (Steve Agee), Vigilante (Freddie Stroma) and Adebayo had already set out to rescue Chris from Earth-2, and Harcourt’s instincts as an agent who minds her surroundings picked up on the white supremacist haven almost immediately.

Thus, given how sensitive the idea could potentially be for Brooks as a Black actor, Gunn made sure she was his first call.

“When I wrote episode 206, I sent it to Danielle, and I was like, ‘This is where we’re going with this. Tell me what you think.’ And she was really into it,” Gunn tells The Hollywood Reporter. “You’ve got to check yourself with things like this. It’s good to be aware of what you’re dealing with when it comes to audiences’ emotions and feelings. So Danielle was my first stop in making sure that it was all kosher.”

Peacemaker season one may have redeemed Chris for killing Joel Kinnaman’s Rick Flag Jr. in Gunn’s The Suicide Squad (2021), but the surviving Squad characters of Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Bloodsport (Idris Elba) and Ratcatcher 2 (Daniela Melchior) aren’t privy to the story the audience has seen. In fact, they probably still believe Peacemaker is dead from one of Bloodsport’s bullets. But Gunn doesn’t have any interest in revisiting that conflict because he’s already exploring it with Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo).

“Now, I’m not saying that those characters won’t reappear. I’m just saying that I am [already] dealing with Peacemaker’s guilt over killing Rick Flag Jr. and his repercussions for that,” Gunn says. “That story is being told through his relationship with Rick Flag Sr. To tell it through Bloodsport, who was friends with Rick Flag Jr., would be an emotionally diminished story compared to the one I’m telling now. So it doesn’t interest me at all.”

Gunn currently hosts Peacemaker: The Official Podcast, an episodic aftershow with Holland, Agee and various guests from the series. During a previous episode, Gunn mentioned in passing that he was watching Taylor Sheridan’s 1923. That detail sparked a flurry of speculation that he was checking out popular Batman fan-cast, Brandon Sklenar, who was the breakout star on that particular Yellowstone prequel. Sklenar recently spoke to THR about his ardent desire to play the next Dark Knight.

Unfortunately, Gunn says that his viewing of 1923 was unrelated to his search for the DCU’s Batman.

“I’m definitely not doing scouting for the Caped Crusader. But I’m always scouting when I’m watching TV shows,” Gunn says. “In fact, I really like the young woman [Julia Schlaepfer] in 1923. She is just so fantastic that I suggested her for something recently. She’s Brandon’s [Sklenar] significant other in that series.”

Gunn is a preexisting admirer of Sheridan’s sprawling TV universe, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a fan of Sklenar’s.

“I’m watching [1923] because I like Taylor Sheridan’s stuff, especially that one. That’s my favorite of all his shows,” Gunn shares. “So I’m watching it mostly for fun, and I’m definitely not watching it because I need to find a Batman. By the way, I love [Sklenar]. I think he’s great. I really do. I honestly think he’s great.”

Below, during a recent spoiler conversation with THR, Gunn also discusses Nicholas Hoult’s return as Lex Luthor, as well as how his job as co-CEO of DC Studios has made him feel more compassion for his former Marvel boss, Kevin Feige.

Peacemaker season two has been asking whether the grass is truly greener on the other side, and “Ignorance Is Chris” has answered that question with a resounding no.

The original episode title for this episode [206] was “The Grass Is Always Meaner.”

How did you arrive at an Earth-2 in which Nazi Germany won World War II?

It comes from Christopher Smith’s personal journey of running away and his inability to accept the place in which he is. When you think of it not in terms of the political — but in terms of the personal and how that represents our own specific journeys and lives — we try to run away from where we are and who we are and what’s in our lives. The inability to accept where we are is the root of all our issues.

Christopher Smith does this in a physical way, going from one dimension to another that’s as different from his own life as can possibly be imagined. His father is a loving father, his brother is alive and the girl he’s in love with is fawning over him and thirsty. So he has everything he thinks is different from what he has [in his own world] because he’s not willing to accept the challenges of his own life. Of course, that is a sort of monkey’s paw, and it ends up being way worse than where he started. So I see it from a personal journey perspective, and then it just so happens to coincide with political stuff in our own world.

The dynamics that Danielle Brooks has to play in this world without visible people of color are a lot heavier than the rest of the 11th Street Kids. How would you sum up your conversations with her about this concept?

Well, she was the first person I checked with. When I wrote episode 206, I sent it to Danielle, and I was like, “This is where we’re going with this. Tell me what you think.” And she was into it. She was really into it.  So she was the first person I checked with, and you’ve got to check yourself with things like this. We can all tell stories that people are affected by or affect them emotionally in ways that we don’t understand. I’ve learned that over the years, and while that doesn’t mean I don’t choose to tell the story anyway, it’s good to be aware of what you’re dealing with when it comes to audiences’ emotions and feelings. So Danielle was my first stop in checking that out and making sure that it was all kosher.

Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor is also reintroduced at Belle Reeve prison. Does Rick Flag Sr.’s (Frank Grillo) offer of redemption lead straight into your Superman follow-up, Man of Tomorrow?

Well, I would say one of the important things is Flag and Luthor’s relationship. It continues into Man of [Tomorrow], yeah. It definitely continues. Their relationship is a part of the DCU going forward.

Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor, Frank Grillo’s Rick Flag Sr. in Peacemaker.

Courtesy of HBO Max

A month or two in prison seems to have changed Lex. Did you direct Nick to be a bit darker or edgier?

He did that naturally. I think it just comes from the text, really. He’s darker because he’s been chewed up by a Superdog, and he’s now in prison for the rest of his life. But part of it is that there’s a more naturalistic feel to the dialogue and a less heightened feel in Peacemaker than in Superman. So the character just naturally and subtly shifted due to that.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special referenced Batman, and now Peacemaker has referenced Spider-Man. Those characters don’t actually exist in either world, but their media does.

That’s right.

Did anyone have to make a courtesy call to Sony or Marvel?

Nope. I also didn’t when I put Batman in [the Holiday Special]. But listen, I talk to those guys. We’re all good.

I’m always curious about how the role of studio head is treating you. Have there been moments that have recontextualized your past Marvel experiences? Have there been instances where you better understood what Marvel boss Kevin Feige was going through at the time or why he had to make a certain decision?

Yes, it’s mostly in the day-to-day thoughtfulness of Kevin Feige and talking to him and seeing him sitting there, thinking. I often see myself doing the same thing with directors or writers. So I understand Kevin more 1759031666, and I’ve learned a lot from him. I always liked Kevin. I never had problems with Kevin in terms of working with him. It was a really, really good partnership. The same with [Marvel Studios co-president] Lou [D’Esposito]. So it was a really good situation.

I haven’t ever been like, “Oh, I complained about this thing about Kevin, and now I see where it is with me.” If there’s one thing that I sometimes would complain about, it was the looseness of things. It was where they were going or where they were heading and how they were connected, or what they were doing with my characters and this or that. So I probably have a little bit more compassion for him in that respect because things shift and change all the time. It’s hard.

Joel Kinnaman, John Cena, Margot Robbie, Peter Capaldi, Idris Elba in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.

Jessica Miglio/DC Comics/Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.

The magic trick of Peacemaker season one is that you managed to redeem Chris (Cena) to the audience after he killed Rick Flag Jr. (Joel Kinnaman) in The Suicide Squad. But he’s not redeemed in the eyes of Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Bloodsport (Idris Elba) and Ratcatcher 2 (Daniela Melchior). They may not even be aware that Chris survived the Corto Maltese mission. Do you hope to resume that conflict someday?

No.

I’m surprised to hear that.

No, not really. I don’t [hope to resume that conflict]. People are always asking me about stuff from The Suicide Squad, and The Suicide Squad is a difficult thing because it is not DCU. But there aren’t too many things in it that aren’t [DCU]. Unlike Peacemaker season one — which is completely DCU, besides the ending and one or two mentions of different things — The Suicide Squad brings up more questions than answers.

Now, I’m not saying that those characters won’t reappear. I’m just saying that I am [already] dealing with Peacemaker’s guilt over killing Rick Flag Jr. and his repercussions for that. And that story is being told through his relationship with Rick Flag Sr. To tell it through Bloodsport, who was friends with Rick Flag Jr., would be an emotionally diminished story compared to the one I’m telling now. So it doesn’t interest me at all.

I heard you say on the official Peacemaker podcast that you’ve been watching a television program called 1923.

That’s right.

Besides entertaining yourself, were you also doing some scouting for the Caped Crusader?

I’m definitely not doing scouting for the Caped Crusader. But I’m always scouting when I’m watching TV shows. I’m always watching characters. In fact, I really like the young woman in 1923. She is just so fantastic that I suggested her for something recently.

Julia Schlaepfer?

Yeah, she’s so, so good. She’s Brandon’s [Sklenar] significant other in that series. But I’m watching it because I like Taylor Sheridan’s stuff, especially that one. That’s my favorite of all his shows. So I’m watching it mostly for fun, and I’m definitely not watching it because I need to find a Batman. (Laughs.) I know what your question is, but that’s not the reason I’m watching it.

Sorry, Brandon. I tried.

By the way, I love him. I think he’s great. I really do. I honestly think he’s great.

bitchy | Former FBI Director James Comey was indicted for… being on Trump’s enemies list

by jummy84 September 27, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s been nine months and six days of war crimes, federal crimes, state crimes and psychopathy from the second Trump administration. There are new crimes every day, every hour from this administration, to the point where the rule of law has no meaning. The only silver lining is that Trump has hired some of the most incompetent, poorly-trained and stupid people ever. All of which to say, I couldn’t even remember why Trump was mad at James Comey, the former FBI Director who was one of the key players in handing Trump the 2016 election. Comey’s press conference about Hillary Clinton was one of the key events leading into the election’s final weeks. So why is Trump mad? Something about Russia, I guess. In any case, Comey made it onto Trump’s enemies list. On Thursday, Comey was indicted by a federal grand jury.

A federal grand jury on Thursday indicted James B. Comey, the former F.B.I. director, a culmination of President Trump’s relentless demand for retribution after the bureau investigated his 2016 presidential campaign over possible ties to Russia.

Mr. Comey was indicted on one count of making a false statement and one count of obstruction of a congressional proceeding in connection with his testimony before a Senate committee in September 2020.

The indictment, filed in Alexandria, Va., came over the objection of career prosecutors in the Eastern District of Virginia who found insufficient evidence to support charges but were overruled by Lindsey Halligan, a Trump loyalist handpicked by the president to run the office a few days ago.

It represents the most significant legal step yet by the Trump administration to harry, punish and humiliate a former official the president identified as an enemy, at the expense of procedural safeguards intended to shield the Justice Department from political interference and personal vendettas.

The bare-bones, two-page indictment was signed only by Ms. Halligan, a former defense lawyer for Mr. Trump who personally presented the case to the jury, despite her lack of any previous prosecutorial experience. Typically such filings are also endorsed by career prosecutors who have gathered the evidence in the case. Court records indicate that Ms. Halligan also tried to get the grand jury to indict Mr. Comey on a second false statement charge, and that it was rejected.

[From The NY Times]

Yeah, I completely understand how bad this is for the “system” and all of that. But A) I f–king despise Comey and he’s a huge reason why we’re in this mess. B) I refuse to see or speak about Comey like he’s a martyr. He’s not – he’s a career bureaucrat who made a conscious choice to tip the scale of public opinion in Trump’s favor, then acted shocked when Trump demanded fealty. C) None of this sh-t is going to hold up in the long run. In 2026 and 2027, when all of Pam Bondi and Kash Patel’s federal cases begin their trials and proceedings, ALL of the cases are going to completely fall apart. That goes for all of the recent high-profile shootings too – the FBI has already been caught manufacturing evidence and tainting potential jury pools. So, whatever. Jim Comey will be fine in the long run, and even if he’s not, I don’t give a sh-t.

🚨 BREAKING: James Comey posts a video statement following his indictment

We will not live on our knees, and you shouldn’t either.… pic.twitter.com/7oisRjWAfK

New James Bond will be a “fresh face” British actor, says new report

by jummy84 September 25, 2025
written by jummy84

The new star of the James Bond franchise will reportedly be a “fresh face” and will be British.

Daniel Craig departed the film series with 2021’s No Time To Die and speculation has been rife ever since about the identity of his 007 successor. Earlier this year, Amazon took over creative control of the franchise, with Dune filmmaker Denis Villeneuve and Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight having since been confirmed as director and writer, respectively.

The decision over who will take the role has yet to be made, but Deadline have reported that Villeneuve and the producers are seeking a “fresh face” and will only be choosing from British actors. Their preference is said to be to cast “an unknown” that is in his late 20s or early 30s.

It was recently reported that unknown actor Scott Rose-Marsh had tested for the role, while it has also been claimed that Harris Dickinson, Jacob Elordi and Tom Holland were being eyed for the part by Amazon – with the latter recently addressing the rumours by saying it is “the pinnacle of working in our industry”.

Kingsman actor Taron Egerton – who has also been a fan favourite for the role – has seemingly taken himself out of the running: “I don’t think I’m a good choice for it,” he said. “I think I’m too messy for that… as far as I’m aware, nobody’s asking me to do it. But also, it’s possibly not quite the thing that would make me happiest. I do think it’s a big old undertaking, it kind of consumes your life, a role like that.”

Helen Mirren recently said that she believed Bond has to be played by a man. “I’m such a feminist, but James Bond has to be a guy,” she said. “You can’t have a woman. It just doesn’t work. James Bond has to be James Bond, otherwise it becomes something else.”

NME awarded No Time To Die four stars, writing: “For the most part though, and with so much at stake thanks to COVID decimating cinema, No Time To Die producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson should be applauded for taking some bold risks. The gobsmacking ending, in fact, may be the biggest in Bond history. Yet when the credits finally roll on Daniel Craig’s last hurrah, all those difficulties fade into the background. If we didn’t know better, we’d say it even looked like he enjoyed himself.”

The Next Big Threat: James Gunn Teases Brainiac’s Arrival In Superman: Man Of Tomorrow | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 September 24, 2025
written by jummy84

Following the massive success of Superman earlier this year, James Gunn has completed the second draft of the highly anticipated sequel, Superman: Man of Tomorrow. The film will once again star David Corenswet as Superman and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and is set for release on July 9, 2027.

Gunn, who serves as co-head of DC Studios, took to social media on September 22 to share a sneak peek of the screenplay. He posted an image of the script’s cover, crediting himself alongside Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. However, it was a subtle illustration in the post that sent fans into a frenzy: a drawing of a brain.

Many fans believe this is a clear hint that the film’s villain will be Brainiac, one of Superman’s most iconic enemies. Social media was quickly flooded with reactions. “BRAINIAC???” one user exclaimed. Another added, “Brainiac in live action? I’ve been praying for a time like this.”

— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) September 22, 2025

Brainiac, created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino, first appeared in Action Comics #242 in 1958. He’s known as a hyper-intelligent alien android from the planet Colu, notorious for shrinking cities to preserve in bottles aboard his skull-shaped ship, then destroying their home planets.

Fans are excited about the potential storyline, with some suggesting Gunn could adapt arcs like Ghost in the Machine from Superman: The Animated Series or Divided We Fall from Justice League Unlimited. Others are already fan-casting the role, with many calling for Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito to portray the villain.

While Gunn hasn’t confirmed Brainiac’s appearance, the cryptic hint has certainly sparked excitement. With the screenplay progressing and hype building, Man of Tomorrow is shaping up to be a major DC event.

James Van Der Beek Sends Video Message to Fans at ‘Dawson’s Creek’ Reunion

by jummy84 September 23, 2025
written by jummy84

While James Van Der Beek couldn’t be at Monday’s (September 22) Dawson’s Creek reunion benefit in person, he made a surprise virtual appearance to thank fans and announce his replacement.

According to People, the actor, who played the titular Dawson Leery on the popular WB teen drama, appeared in a pre-recorded video that was projected onstage at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City, where the original cast gathered for a live reading of the show’s pilot script.

“I have been looking forward to this night for months and months ever since my angel Michelle Williams said she was putting it together,” Van Der Beek said in the video, per People. “I can’t believe I’m not there. I can’t believe I don’t get to see my cast mates, my beautiful cast in person.”

On Sunday evening (September 21), Van Der Beek took to Instagram to announce he wouldn’t be able to attend the event due to “two stomach viruses” knocking him “out of commission.”

“Despite every effort… I won’t get to be there,” he added. “I won’t get to stand on that stage and thank every soul in the theater for showing up for me, and against cancer, when I needed it most.”

Van Der Beek revealed his colorectal cancer diagnosis back in November 2024. At the time, he told People, “I’ve been privately dealing with this diagnosis and have been taking steps to resolve it, with the support of my incredible family.”

In the video, Van Der Beek said he wanted to “thank every single person in the theater for being here tonight. From the cast to the crew to everybody who’s doing anything and has been so generous, and especially every single last one of you – you are the best fans in the world.”

He then introduced his “understudy,” Hamilton star Lin-Manuel Miranda, whom he joked his kids would consider an “upgrade.”

Van Der Beek’s wife, Kimberly, and the couple’s children attended the event, with Kimberly writing on Instagram, “[It] was important to him we come!!”

Kimberly and the children joined the cast onstage to sing Paula Cole’s “I Don’t Want To Wait,” the show’s theme song, at Monday’s event.

James Van Der Beek Replaced by Lin-Manuel Miranda in ‘Dawson’s Creek’ Event

James Van Der Beek said Sunday night that he is dropping out of the live Dawson’s Creek reunion event due to “two stomach viruses.”

Lin-Manuel Miranda will replace him for the one-night-only live reading of the pilot script.

The event, which will benefit the organization F Cancer, is set to feature original stars Michelle Williams, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, Mary Beth Peil, John Wesley Shipp, Mary-Margaret Humes, Nina Repeta, Kerr Smith, Meredith Monroe and Busy Phillips. It will take place Monday in New York City at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.

Van Der Beek, who revealed last year that he had been diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer, shared the news on Instagram.

“This is the evening I’d been looking forward to MOST since my angel Michelle Williams said she was putting it together, way back in January…. So you can imagine how gutted I was when two stomach viruses conspired to knock me out of commission and keep me grounded at the worst possible moment,” he wrote. “Despite every effort…I won’t get to be there. I won’t get to stand on that stage and thank every soul in the theater for showing up for me, and against cancer, when I needed it most.”

He also expressed his admiration and incredulity that Hamilton mastermind Miranda would be taking over the role of Dawson Leery, whom Van Der Beek portrayed on the show from 1998 to 2003.

“But I DO have an understudy,” he wrote. “A ridiculously overqualified replacement who would have been #1 on my wishlist (had I ever dreamed he’d be available). Someone my kids would definitely consider an upgrade over me…. Plus, he already knows how to get to the theater. So that’s convenient.”

Van Der Beek learned of his cancer diagnosis in August 2023 and shared the news publicly in November 2024. He said his cancer was detected via colonoscopy.

James Van Der Beek took to Instagram Sunday evening to reveal he will not be joining Monday’s “Dawson’s Creek” reunion due to a stomach illness. Luckily for fans, he has a Tony-winning understudy to take his place: Lin-Manuel Miranda.

“This is the evening I’d been looking forward to MOST since my angel Michelle Williams said she was putting it together, way back in January,” he wrote. “So you can imagine how gutted I was when two stomach viruses conspired to knock me out of commission and keep me grounded at the worst possible moment. Despite every effort… I won’t get to be there.”

“But I DO have an understudy,” he contiuned. “A ridiculously overqualified replacement who would have been #1 on my wishlist (had I ever dreamed he’d be available). Someone my kids would definitely consider an upgrade over me… Plus, he already knows how to get to the theater. So that’s convenient. The role of “Dawson”, usually played by James Van Der Beek…Will be played by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Can’t belive I just got to type that.”

More to come…
