This Is Why Taylor Swift Isn’t Playing The Super Bowl

by jummy84 October 7, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s official: Bad Bunny will headline the Super Bowl LX halftime show. Not Taylor Swift.

Bad Bunny is certainly no one’s second choice or backup, but it did look for a while as though the NFL and Apple Music/Roc Nation, the companies that produce the event, were going after Swift, and not just because of the easter eggs; NFL CEO Roger Goodell himself called Swift a “maybe,” saying that securing the performer was in Jay-Z’s hands.

So…what happened? Here’s what we know:

What Swift herself says

Basically, she’s not gonna do the Super Bowl while her man is playing in the NFL, it’s just too stressful. “Here’s the thing,” Swift told Jimmy Fallon during a visit to The Tonight Show on October 6, where she spent a segment debunking stories about herself. “Jay-Z has always been very good to me. Our teams are very close. They sometimes will call and say ‘how does she feel about…’ and that’s not an official offer or a conference room conversation. We’re always able to tell him the truth, which is that I am in love with a guy who does that sport on that actual field.”

Most popular Indian film of 21st century isn’t Baahubali, Dangal, RRR, Lagaan, K3G; part of school curriculum abroad

The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) unveiled its report on 25 years of Indian cinema, chronicling the biggest trends in Indian cinema since 2000. The report, which coincides with 25 years of IMDb’s entry in India, looks at the most searched celebs and films from India from 2000-2025, and deduces the top trends in India’s entertainment industry during the period. One of the findings of the report has been the rise of crossover films from Indian cinema, ones that find fans overseas and just not from the Indian diaspora. This has led to some films developing sizable popularity globally, and the biggest of them all is an Aamir Khan blockbuster.

A still from Rajkumar Hirani’s Aamir Khan-starrer, 3 Idiots.

IMDb’s most popular Indian film of 21st century

The report’s ‘India’s Global Moment’ section notes how Indian films are increasingly finding audiences overseas. In this regard, the report plots a graph on Indian films’ popularity worldwide, measuring it on two axes: global page views and the percentage of views from non-Indian audiences.

On both parameters, one Bollywood film reigns supreme – Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots. The 2009 film has a perfect 100 score on the global popularity index, signifying its near-universal global popularity. That much is evident by the fact that 3 Idiots is the highest-ranked Indian film in the IMDb Top 250, a list of its top-ranked films. 3 Idiots also scores high among no-Indian audiences, with over 80% of its page views coming from outside India. The only other Indian films with that sort of international appeal are Taare Zameen Par, My Name is Khan, Monsoon Wedding, and The Lunchbox. But none of those films has a global popularity rating of even 60. Other popular films that score high on both indexes include Dangal, RRR, and PK.

“Few movies truly deserve the title of crossover hits, and this quadrant is dominated by Aamir Khan movies,” IMDb notes, “His dominance proves the might of culturally Indian yet emotionally universal storytelling in the global arena.”

The legacy of 3 Idiots

Released in 2009, 3 Idiots was among the first modern Indian films to get a sizable non-Indian audience beyond Russia and China. It had an overseas gross of $30.5 million, a record for an Indian film at the time, with record-breaking collections in the US and Australia. But its biggest win was breaking through in newer markets like Taiwan and South Korea. In the former, it even beat the collections of James Cameron’s Avatar.

In China, the film was a huge hit and cultural phenomenon, with many Chinese universities even prescribing the film in their coursework as a kind of stress-relief in their classrooms.

3 Idiots also starred R Madhavan. Sharman Joshi, Boman Irani, Kareena Kapoor, Omi Vaidya, and Mona Singh. The film was the highest-grossing Indian film at the time, a record that was eventually broken by Dhoom 3 in 2013.

Akshay Kumar Says Son Aarav ‘Isn’t Interested’ In Films, Wants to Be A…

by jummy84 September 30, 2025
written by jummy84

In a surprising revelation, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has confirmed that his son, Aarav, has chosen a path outside of the film industry. Aarav, who recently celebrated his 23rd birthday, will neither debut as an actor nor take over his father’s successful production company; instead, he is pursuing a career as a fashion designer.

The announcement addresses mounting speculation about Aarav’s future, especially as other prominent star kids—like Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan make their professional debuts.

Akshay Kumar Reveals His Son’s Ambitions

Speaking to ABP News, Akshay Kumar openly discussed his son’s decision, making it clear that the choice was entirely Aarav’s own.

“He doesn’t want to join films,” Akshay stated. “He told me straight, ‘Dad, I don’t want to come.’ I even suggested he take over my production company, but he isn’t interested. He wants to stay in fashion. He wants to be a designer, and he’s studying fashion right now. That’s where his happiness lies.”

While acknowledging that he would have loved for his son to follow him into the movies, the actor emphasized his support for Aarav’s chosen field.

Twinkle Khanna as the Strict Parent

Akshay offered a rare insight into the family dynamics, pointing out that his wife, author and former actress Twinkle Khanna, is the one who keeps the family disciplined.

“She is a very serious kind and keeps all three of us – me, Nitara and Aarav – in line. I’m more like a friend to my son,” he shared.

He described Aarav as being more like Twinkle—”very studious”—and deeply focused on his education, confirming the young man is currently studying at university and has “no bad habits.”

On Aarav’s 23rd birthday in September, the proud father posted a heartfelt note on Instagram, celebrating his son’s maturity and wit: “Happy 23rd, Aarav! When I was twenty-three, I was learning to beat up people on screen… now it feels strange to see you beat me every day – from tech to fashion to dinner table debates.”

Akshay Kumar Upcoming Projects

Despite his personal focus on his family, Akshay Kumar remains one of the busiest actors in the industry. He was recently seen in Jolly LLB 3, which grossed ₹127 crore worldwide.

His upcoming slate is robust, featuring highly anticipated films like the comedy Welcome To The Jungle, Priyadarshan’s Bhooth Bangla with Paresh Rawal and Wamiqa Gabbi, Haiwaan with Saif Ali Khan, and the much-awaited continuation of the comedy franchise, Hera Pheri 3, co-starring Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty.

I Traveled to Thailand & Learned That Time Isn’t Real

On the second day, once my friend finally had her suitcase of essentials, we jumped back into our itinerary, which was still patiently waiting for us. It didn’t matter which day we did what, just that we were doing it. Over breakfast at Ocean Kiss, the resort’s breezy beachfront buffet restaurant, we had fresh watermelon juice, Thai iced coffee, tropical fruit, noodles, pastries, and made-to-order omelets. Afterwards, we wandered the resort for some light cardio, passing koi ponds, checking out the tree house restaurant, Tree Tops, we’d booked for later in the week, and stumbling into a rooftop boxing gym with the most stunning island views. Back at our villa, we cooled off in our private pool, enjoying deep catch-ups and hilarious photoshoots. That evening, we also watched a traditional Thai light show on the beach. The performer, barefoot and dressed in a bright red and gold costume, danced ram Thai, a slow movement that’s hundreds of years old and was originally performed in royal courts and religious ceremonies.

The Hack producer on why he isn’t expecting another Mr Bates response

In comparison, the phone-hacking scandal is one that many people will have some awareness of, having been the subject of a large volume of mainstream media reports as well as the Leveson Inquiry.

Yet even The Hack screenwriter Jack Thorne confessed to not understanding the true meaning of the story until setting out to write this dramatisation, which stars David Tennant, Robert Carlyle and Mr Bates himself, Toby Jones.

Speaking to RadioTimes.com at The Hack’s launch event, producer Spence candidly said: “You can’t hope for another event like Mr Bates.

“Mr Bates was a coming together of many different factors, and also it was about ordinary working people being treated abhorrently,” he continued.

David Tennant and Robert Carlyle star in The Hack ITV

He added: “I think that’s an easier thing for people to tap into emotionally than what this is, which is a story of corporate and personal abuse of power and the courage it takes to investigate and stand up against that.”

Spence conceded that while he doesn’t expect The Hack “to make the entire country angry” as Mr Bates vs The Post Office did, he and his team can’t deny that they “still dream a little of it”.

Still, he reflected: “You can’t ask for the performance of Mr Bates to be repeated.”

At a Q&A following a screening of the first two episodes, The Hack writer Thorne shared that his perception of the phone-hacking scandal – and its importance – changed fundamentally after researching the details for his scripts.

“My assumption was that the drama was in the journalists behaving badly, whereas actually, it’s in the response of the world to this story being broken by these brave people,” he explained.

“I don’t think it was a complicity – I don’t think there’s anything as structured as complicity involved in this – but there was a complacency [from journalists and politicians].”

He added: “There was a complacency in how people were prepared to look at themselves and look at their relationships. And trying to understand that felt like a very urgent task, and one that I was very, very keen to be involved in.”

The Hack premieres on ITV1 and ITVX on Wednesday 24th September 2025.

Donald Trump Dangerously Says Domestic Violence Isn’t A Real Crime

by jummy84 September 9, 2025
written by jummy84

On Monday (Sep. 8), Donald Trump gave a speech at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., where he shared his frustrations with local crime statistics still including incidents of domestic violence.

Trump bragged that his deployment of federal troops to the capital had transformed Washington from “the worst, the most violent city” into “a totally safe zone.” In his explanation, he claimed that the city was crime-free until domestic disputes were factored in.

“There’s no crime. They said crime is down 87 percent — no, no, no, it’s more than 87 percent, [it’s] virtually nothing,” he told the crowd. “Much lesser things, things that take place in the home, they call crime, you know — they’ll do anything they can to find something. If a man has a little fight with the wife, they say, ‘This was a crime, see,’ so now I can’t claim 100 percent. But we are a safe city.”

It isn’t surprising that Trump feels that way about DV cases, given his own history. Reportedly, Trump has had more than a dozen women accusing him of harassment, abuse, or sexual assault over the years — allegations he’s consistently denied.

Trump’s remarks came amid a federal appeals court upholding an $83 million defamation judgment awarded to writer E. Jean Carroll, who accused Trump of sexually assaulting her in the 1990s. That ruling follows a 2023 verdict finding Trump liable for sexually abusing Carroll, as well as last year’s conviction on 34 felony counts tied to falsifying business records to cover up hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 campaign.

Stormy Daniels (Stephanie Clifford) exits the United States District Court Southern District of New York for a hearing related to Michael Cohen, President Trump’s longtime personal attorney and confidante, April 16, 2018 in New York City.

A 2018 report from Mother Jones revealed how Trump allegedly engaged in an affair with Daniels (real name Stephanie Clifford) in 2006 and asked her to spank him with a copy of Forbes magazine. The issue was a 2006 cover of himself and children.

Reportedly, Democratic political consultant Andrea Dubé and others who worked with Daniels in 2009 backed up her claims. They recalled that “one time he made her sit with him for three hours watching Shark Week.”

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan made his long-awaited debut as a public speaker at the premiere of his directorial debut series The Ba*ds of Bollywood. The Red Chillies Entertainment-produced Netflix series will release on September 18. During the event, Aryan gave an endearing and witty speech that won the crowd’s hearts immediately.

Nervous But Honest Debut

Opening up about his nerves, Aryan admitted, “Bohot nervous hu kyunki pehli baar main aap sabke saamne stage par aaya hu (I’m very nervous because this is the first time I’m standing in front of all of you).” He shared that he had been rehearsing the speech for three nights straight. I was that nervous, I put the speech on a teleprompter and wrote it out on paper—just in case the power went out,” he quipped.

With a lighter moment, Shah Rukh Khan was spotted with Aryan’s speech stuck to his back, once again demonstrating that the King of Bollywood knows how to assist in style and humor. Aryan added, “Aur agar tab bhi mujhse mistake ho jaaye, to Papa hain na! (And if I still make a mistake, well, my dad’s here!).”

Fans Spot SRK’s Influence

After the speech, fans inundated social media with praise, noting the remarkable vocal similarity between Aryan and SRK. Posts such as “Sounds jussssss like SRK” and “SRK voice = Aryan voice” went viral within hours.

Slay Raché Isn’t Here for Your Halfway Love — and “Good Thing” Makes That Crystal Clear

by jummy84 August 22, 2025
written by jummy84

Some songs feel like silk sheets slipping off your shoulders—Good Thing is not that song. Slay Raché’s latest release doesn’t whisper; it stares you down, wipes its tears, and walks out the door in slow motion.

After sending late-night pulses with her last single “After Hours,” the genre-blurring artist returns with “Good Thing,” a track that shot straight to the top of Amazon Music and claimed the coveted #1 spot overall. But don’t mistake this rise for a fluke—this is Slay Raché’s world.

Inspired in part by the vibe of Normani and Cardi B’s “Wild Side,” the creative process for Good Thing began with a spark that quickly evolved into something entirely new. The result is a dusky, stripped-back anthem of self-worth, carried by vocals so raw you can hear the healing. Co-written and produced by L for 3redshoes Inc., the track delivers the tension between hurt and empowerment with unflinching clarity.

Raché has always been one to thread confidence through vulnerability, but Good Thing marks a personal evolution. “It’s freedom. Freedom in not being afraid to be vulnerable. Freedom in walking away.” There’s an emotional weight here that lingers—like mascara smudged on a love note you never sent.

Sonically, the track departs from the ambient hum of “After Hours,” giving Raché space to explore something more naked, more resolute. The production doesn’t hide behind gimmicks—it breathes. And in that breath, Raché stretches vocally, exploring new pockets of emotion with near-hypnotic restraint.

“I want people to feel like they’re reclaiming something,” she says. “It’s the kind of emotion you’re almost embarrassed to admit.” And maybe that’s the magic—how Good Thing makes the private feel cinematic. Think: rainy sidewalks, heartache in your headphones, a main character moment that’s all yours.

If After Hours was your post-party echo, Good Thing is your 3AM reckoning. Not quite a club track—unless you’re the one crying in the corner—it exists in that soft, introspective zone. The kind of song you loop on a walk just to feel something deeper.

Visually, the aesthetic world of Good Thing lives somewhere between bedroom daydreams and fashion-forward candor. Styled by her longtime creative partner and manager L, Slay wears a funky knit sweater layered over a Whitney tee—casual but considered, like everything she does. “It’s very me,” she says, “chill, but still fun.”

The song is also a taste of what’s coming. “I’m planning a larger project, and this is definitely a glimpse,” she teases. “It shows off my sonic variety, which I love.” We can’t help but wonder what corners of emotion she’ll explore next—but one thing’s for sure: she’s in full control of the ride.

As for what she’s manifesting? “My full creative potential—as a vocalist, artist, dancer, and performer. I just want to work hard, be my best, and not get in my own way.”

With Good Thing, Slay Raché isn’t just leveling up—she’s drawing the blueprint for what modern emotional pop should feel like: unfiltered, feminine, and utterly fearless.

Vascular surgeon explains chest pain isn’t the only warning sign of blocked arteries: Don’t ignore leg pain or numbness | Health

by jummy84 August 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Blocked arteries can manifest in various ways beyond chest pain. A surgeon has explained that it’s crucial to recognise these signs to prevent severe complications. Dr Sumit Kapadia, a vascular surgeon and varicose vein specialist, took to Instagram on August 1 to share a post about these warning signs. Also read | Cardiologist explains 10 signs of heart disease you ignore but should not: Irregular heartbeat, swollen feet, jaw pain

Blocked arteries can cause chest pain. However, blocked arteries can also cause symptoms beyond chest pain. (Freepik)

‘Most people wait until pain becomes unbearable’

In it, he said, “After treating thousands of patients with blocked arteries, these are the things I wished more people knew before it was too late.” Dr Kapadia highlighted how blocked arteries often exhibit symptoms beyond chest pain, and it’s crucial to pay attention to these warning signs.

“Most people wait until the pain becomes unbearable. Until they can’t walk without discomfort. Until breathlessness becomes a daily struggle. Or worse… until they land in the Emergency Room,” he said.

Here are some warning signs to watch out for

He went on to share a list of things he ‘wish every person would understand early on’:

⦿ Dr Kapadia said, “Chest pain isn’t the only warning sign — pain in the legs, numbness, or discolouration can also point to artery disease.”

⦿ He added, “Family history matters — if your parents or siblings had heart or vascular issues, don’t wait for symptoms to show up.”

⦿ According to Dr Kapadia: Smoking and diabetes are a deadly combo for your blood vessels.

⦿ Dr Kapadia said, “Routine check-ups save lives. A simple Doppler scan or ABI test can detect early blockages.”

⦿ He said, “It’s not just about the heart — peripheral arteries (especially in legs) are equally important and often ignored.”

⦿ “Many patients come to us at stage 3 or 4 — when surgery is the only option. But many blockages can be prevented or reversed early,” Dr Kapadia said.

Early awareness = saved limbs, saved lives

He concluded, “Let this post be your reminder: Take that symptom seriously. Book that test. Change that habit. Because when it comes to your vascular health, early awareness = saved limbs, saved lives.”

If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, it’s essential to consult a vascular surgeon or a healthcare professional for proper diagnosis and treatment. Early detection can help prevent severe complications, such as heart attack, limb loss or stroke.
