bitchy | Prince Harry & King Charles met for tea at Clarence House for 55 minutes

by jummy84 September 12, 2025
written by jummy84

Honestly, I believed that Prince Harry and King Charles would meet at some point this week. I realized that it would happen when I noticed that Harry had not said one word (one way or the other) about meeting his father. If Charles had rejected him or shut down the request, Harry would have called him out publicly yet again. So, long story short, Harry went to Clarence House on Wednesday afternoon. Charles had flown back to London from Balmoral on Wednesday morning. Charles didn’t come back to London solely to meet Harry – Charles has been receiving cancer treatments mid-week in London for the past 18 months or so. That’s why Charles was back in London, but sure, he made a point of having a 55-minute meeting with Harry as well.

Prince Harry and King Charles have reunited. It marks the first time that the father and son have met in person since February 2024, days after King Charles, 76, revealed he was being treated for an undisclosed cancer.

Prince Harry, 40, was seen arriving by car at Clarence House, the King’s London residence, around 5:20 p.m. local time on Sept. 10. He was inside for about 55 minutes before departing.

Following the meeting, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the King had a private tea at Clarence House with the Duke of Sussex and said no further details would be shared. A spokesperson for Prince Harry echoed the same, reiterating that father and son met for tea and that there would be no additional comment.

The Duke of Sussex returned to the U.K. on Sept. 8 to support some of his key charities and causes. After arriving in his home country and paying tribute to Queen Elizabeth on the third anniversary of her death on Sept. 8, Harry attended the WellChild Awards. The following day, he traveled to Nottingham, England — about 130 miles north of London — to highlight the work being done for young people there.

The father and son were both in London on Wednesday. The Duke of Sussex visited Imperial College London’s Centre for Blast Injury Studies that day, greeting fans who were waiting outside as he left. Shaking hands and snapping selfies, he excused himself by saying, “I have to go, I’m so late… I’ve got to go, I’ve got to go. Nice to meet you guys,” according to the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, the King was spotted boarding a plane from Scotland, where he was spending time at Balmoral Castle in recent weeks, to the capital city.

[From People]

I could not believe the kind of mainstream coverage this got. The Wall Street Journal, WaPo, NBC News, the BBC, Sky News, and more, all providing breathless coverage like it was a 21st century Potsdam. CNN even had “breaking news” coverage with the banner and everything. Anyway, I’m glad they saw each other for the first time in a year and a half. On Harry’s side, I think he just wanted to see his father and be able to hold his only living parent for a brief moment. On Charles’s side, who even knows. I think it was mostly Charles acknowledging that he can’t continue to ignore this huge problem, which is the years-long Sussexit fallout and estrangement. Also: At Harry’s evening event for Invictus (more on that in another post), he was asked about his father by a reporter. Harry said: “Yes, he’s great, thank you.”

I said this on Twitter yesterday, but it’s worth repeating here: we’ve got at least two full weeks of Kensington Palace rage-briefing over this meeting. Plates are being smashed, pillows are being thrown, and there’s enough incandescent rage to power all of the lightbulbs in England.

Lewis Tan & Holt McCallany in Action Thriller Film ‘Safe House’ Trailer

by Alex Billington

“You’re hiding something…” “I’m not even here, man.” Voltage Pictures has revealed an official trailer for a movie called Safe House, a generic action thriller made by filmmaker Jamie Marshall. Not to be confused with the 2012 Denzel Washington movie also literally called Safe House – or any of the other recent movies about people hiding out in a safe house. The intense thriller is about six government agents sequestered in a covert location after a terror attack on Los Angeles. As they attempt to navigate their way through a web of paranoia, they come to suspect the perpetrator may be one of their own. But, who? Starring Lewis Tan, Lucien Laviscount, Hannah John-Kamen, Ethan Embry, and Holt McCallany. As totally expected, this looks especially bad. The script will probably make it even worse if anyone dares try to watch this film.

Here’s the official trailer for Jamie Marshall’s action thriller movie Safe House, direct from YouTube:

Safe House Movie Trailer

Six federal agents in hiding out at a safe house after a Los Angeles terror attack quickly grow suspicious of each other as they realize the perpetrator could be hiding among them. Safe House is directed by British filmmaker Jamie Marshall, making his second feature film after directing Dirty Lies (2017) previously, plus decades of other work as a second unit director in the film industry. The screenplay is written by Leon Langford. Produced by Alexandra Cocean, Lucas Jarach, and Timothy C. Sullivan. This hasn’t premiered at any film festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. Voltage Pictures will debut Marhsall’s Safe House movie in select US theaters coming soon this fall stay tuned for the exact date. Anyone interested in watching this?

Drake’s Better World Fragrance House Hosts NYFW Event: Photos

by jummy84 September 12, 2025
written by jummy84

New York Fashion Week is in full swing and Better World Fragrance House kicked the eventful week off by celebrating one of the hottest new scents on the market. BWFH — the fragrance brand led by Drake, Michael Carby, and Givaudan — hosted an immersive experience last night (Sept. 11) in celebration of their Summer Mink Eau de Parfum.

The exclusive event aimed to bring the fragrance’s story to life through “curated design, sensory moments, and storytelling.” Held on Sept. 10 at Storied NYC, the stunning evening of scent discovery boasted a guestlist full of the city’s tastemakers and parfum lovers, artfully curated photo moments, music, custom cocktails, and elegant light bites. Each guest was transported to an other-worldly atmosphere that allowed them to indulge in all things “Summer Mink,” and everyone was also gifted a travel spray with a custom embossed case to remember the evening.

Those who were in attendance to enjoy the installations included perfumer and creator of Summer Mink Michael Carby and Givaudan, influencer and model Sonia Tucker, NBA players Miles McBride and Patrick Beverly, rapper Dreezy, actress Beverly Naya, and plenty more.

Summer Mink is described as “a universal fragrance inspired by the beauty of juxtaposition. It embodies the unexpected — the indulgence of wearing mink in the summer, defying conventions of seasonality and gender while embracing bold sophistication.” Per Better World’s site, Drake’s relationship to scent “is deeply personal,” and he has worked over the last few years to “develop distinctive scents to curate and improve space.” His vision was brought to life with the help of working with leading perfumer, Michael Carby, and Givaudan, a leader in the fragrance industry. Learn more about the brand here and purchase Summer Mink here.

Attendees stepped out in their best NYFW ensembles to match the unique elegance of the evening. View highlights from the event and top looks from guests below.

David Lynch’s House for Sale for $15 Million

by jummy84 September 12, 2025
written by jummy84

David Lynch’s Hollywood Hills compound has hit the market. Its asking price? $15 million.

Lynch, who died in January, lived on the 2.5-acre estate for over 35 years, and created “Mulholland Drive” and “Lost Highway,” and many more of his works there.

According to listing agent Marc Silver of The Agency Beverly Hills, the Beverly Johnson house was designed in 1963 by Lloyd Wright, son of Frank Lloyd Wright. Recognized by Historic Places LA as an excellent example of mid-century modern/organic residential architecture, the house “embodies the drama of hillside modernism with bold geometry, walls of glass, and a seamless flow between indoors and out.”

After buying the initial property, Lynch expanded and acquired the two neighboring residences on Senalda Drive, including the site of Asymmetrical Productions, his production company.

His home featured both a private editing suite and screening room. Lynch later commissioned Eric Lloyd Wright in 1991 to design the pool and pool house.

Later, he added a two-story guest house and another unique one-bedroom living space finished in his favored smooth grey plaster. Together, the three residences and ancillary structures formed the compound.

The visionary director who died in January was behind the “Twin Peaks” TV show and films such as “Blue Velvet.” He melded elements of horror, film noir, the whodunit and classical European surrealism

‘Little House on the Prairie’ Star Finally Reveals Why Everyone Said Almanzo’s Name Wrong

by jummy84 September 10, 2025
written by jummy84

As all Little House on the Prairie fans know, the show’s characters had a slightly unusual way of pronouncing the name of Almanzo Wilder, Laura Ingall’s love interest. And as actress Lucy Lee Flippin has revealed in a new interview in BuzzFeed, the epic mispronunciation goes back to the nerves she felt on her first day filming.

Flippin, 82, portrayed schoolteacher Eliza Jane Wilder in the show’s final three seasons. With her thick glasses and red curls, Flippin was one of the series’s more visually memorable characters, inspiring fans to embrace their “Eliza Jane Era” in modern times.

House of the Dragon star calls out women being labelled “difficult”

by jummy84 September 10, 2025

Olivia Cooke, star of House of the Dragon and new Prime Video series The Girlfriend, has spoken about the use of intimacy coordinators in the film and TV industry, and how women are still labelled “difficult” for raising issues.

Speaking with The i Paper, Cooke gave a shout-out to the intimacy coordinators on The Girlfriend, before adding: “It’s amazing to me that people had to just fudge their way through those scenes before those people existed.”

Cooke said that sex scenes put actors in “really precarious and vulnerable situations”, and that the inevitable embarrassment is amplified for “those who are just starting out and don’t have the vocabulary to say what they’re not comfortable with”.

“And for women, who’ll often get labelled ‘difficult’ or ‘a b***h’ for speaking up,” she continued.

Cooke added that good intimacy coordinators will “sense hesitation and become your voice”, and that while she believes “showing intimacy, passion is an integral part of reflecting the human experience”, it can be done without actors left feeling like “a chunk of yourself has been taken”.

Olivia Cooke stars in The Girlfriend. Christopher Raphael / Prime Video

In The Girlfriend, Cooke plays Cherry, the titular girlfriend of Laurie Davidson’s Daniel. When Daniel’s mother, played by Robin Wright, finds herself suspicious of Cherry, the two end up in a power struggle to have the greatest influence over Daniel.

Cooke is perhaps best-known for playing Alicent on House of the Dragon, but she has also had major roles in films such as Me and Earl and the Dying Girl and Ready Player One, as well as series including Bates Motel, Vanity Fair and Slow Horses.

Story House Partners to Shoot Debut Film ‘St. George’ in Montana

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Story House Partners, the Montana-based production branch of Story House Inc., will begin production on its first feature film in October. Titled “St. George,” the movie is a family drama written and directed by Andrew Pastides.

The film will focus on two brothers dealing with grief in the wake of their sister’s death. One of the brothers has Down syndrome, and the other brother becomes his caregiver as his closest remaining family member. However, when their late sister’s boyfriend re-enters their lives, things take a turn for the worse, forcing both brothers to confront their familial flaws head-on.

“St. George” was developed with the National Down Syndrome Society to ensure authentic representation of its neurodivergent characters and expand conversations about the community. Pastides said in a statement, “I’m drawn to the gray areas — the space where tragedy and humor overlap, where love and loss coexist. With ‘St. George,’ I wanted to explore how silence around grief leaves us unequipped to love fully, and how resilience takes different shapes in different families — especially within the neurodivergent community.”

The film will be shot on-location in Missoula, Mont., bringing production to the Mountain West in accordance with Story House Partners’ investment in the region’s film industry. In addition to the movie, Story House Inc. is developing a 47-acre studio campus in Missoula as well as a 240-acre community in Sheridan, Wyo., dubbed Story House Village.

By working with lawmakers to develop Story House Montana, the company hopes to build a production ecosystem in an underserved part of the United States where other large-scale projects have faltered.

Story House co-founder and chief creative officer James Brown III added, “It’s incredibly meaningful that ‘St. George’ is the first feature film from Story House Partners. To launch our producing journey with a story this powerful feels like both an honor and a responsibility — we’ve been trusted with something deeply human, and it brings me so much joy to share it with the world.”

“St. George” is produced by Sean Patrick Higgins, James Brown III and Matt Lauria, and is shot by Bianca Butti.

The Viral Tanya Mittal House Sufacing On Social Media Is Not Hers But Pakistan’s Most Lavish Palace, Deets Inside

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

TV’s one of most controversial show ‘Bigg Boss 19’ has started grabbing the attention of the audience from the very first day. The explosive drama has kept the audience glued to the screen and social media influencer Tanya Mittal is facing criticism for her statements made on the show. She had earlier said that everyone keeps calling her ‘Boss’ and then revealed that she and her 100 bodyguards had saved the lives of many people during the Kumbh Mela.

Tanya Mittal

However, amid this rhetoric of Tanya Mittal, a video of her house has surfaced online. While Tanya keeps talking about her house, a video of the luxurious house was shared from a page on the internet and the caption said that this is her house and she was not lying. But the truth of this beautifully decorated house turned out to be something else.

Tanya Mittal

As soon as this video surfaced on the internet in the name of Tanya Mittal’s house, it looked very huge and very beautiful. Anyone’s eyes would be dazzled by seeing a glimpse inside it. But people made the truth clear in the comment section. Everyone told that this is not Tanya’s house but the most expensive palace in Pakistan. The name of this property is The Royal Palace House, which is located in Gulberg, Islamabad.

Tanya Mittal

The Royal Palace House is a building of 10 Kanal, which is said to be the most expensive house in the country, which is famous for its lavish facilities, including theaters, gyms, swimming pools and gardens. The estimated value of the palace is 1.25 billion i.e. about 125 crores. In Bigg Boss 19, Tanya Mittal had recently told in a conversation with Neelam that her house is really very beautiful and looks like heaven on earth. However, not even a single picture of her house has surfaced on social media.

A House of Dynamite review: One of Kathryn Bigelow’s very best films

by jummy84 September 2, 2025
written by jummy84

As the opening caption reminds us, after the Cold War, political agreements looked to dismantle the nuclear arms race, but “that era is now over”. As we all know, countries including the US, Russia, China, North Korea and India all have nuclear arsenals. The question is, is anyone ready to push the button?

In Bigelow’s film, scripted by Noah Oppenheim, an unidentified enemy launches an unprovoked single missile strike against America.

“Is this real?” asks one character, as the realisation dawns that this is not a drill. Events are initially played out largely in the White House Situation Room, as Rebecca Ferguson’s Captain Olivia Walker attempts to handle the situation, whilst also coping with the fact her husband and young son are at home, and, like millions of others, in grave danger.

GBIs – Ground Based Interceptors – are launched, but as one character notes, knocking a nuclear missile from the sky is like “hitting a bullet with a bullet”.

Keeping it tight, the storyline covers about a third of the film’s running time, before Bigelow then switches locations, repeating events from other perspectives, including the Secretary of Defence (Jared Harris) and the President of the United States (Idris Elba), who is making a visit to a sporting arena, greeting young basketball players (he enters to rapturous cheers and the sound of Phil Collins’s drum-heavy anthem In the Air Tonight).

Bigelow has been here before, more or less. Her rather ponderous 2002 film K-19: The Widowmaker dealt with an impending nuclear submarine disaster. But A House of Dynamite is far more urgent, far more, well, explosive.

Of course, the film draws comparisons with the likes of Fail Safe and even Stanley Kubrick’s satire Dr Strangelove, but Bigelow’s relentless pacing and contemporary setting makes it feel utterly of the moment.

With a shrewdly-chosen cast, this is an ensemble to savour, including Jason Clarke, who featured in Bigelow’s hunt for Bin Laden tale Zero Dark Thirty, and Past Lives’ Greta Lee (as an expert in North Korean intelligence).

But this is not a film with a grandstanding singular performance (although Tracy Letts’s hard-hitting general comes close to stealing it). Rather, it’s a group of actors harnessing a collective energy to bring to life a terrifying story.

Giving you a unique fly-on-the-wall look at decisions that ultimately rest with the President, as he must consider whether to retaliate and usher in World War III or risk further strikes on American soil, it shows with clarity just how little time there is when it comes to deciding mankind’s fate.

“Surrender or suicide,” as the President is told, when he’s confronted with the “nuclear decision handbook”, which outlines three response strategies – “rare, medium and well-done”, as one operative says in a rare moment of black humour.

Although much of A House of Dynamite takes place in claustrophobic interiors – a world of big-screen monitors, desks, and half-drunk coffee cups – there are expansive moments that hit home, like the shot of buses pulling into Raven Rock in Pennsylvania, an underground facility for sheltering during a nuclear attack.

For sure, Bigelow has crafted a film that works both as nerve-shredding entertainment and as a thought-provoking anti-nuclear statement.

A House Of Dynamite is released in cinemas on 10th October 2025 and on Netflix on 24th October 2025.
