Veteran star Zarine Khan’s passing on November 7, 2025, has left many in the film industry and fans reminiscing about her grace, charm, and extraordinary life choices. As tributes pour in, one anecdote that stands out is her love story with Sanjay Khan and leaving her career for the same. Zarine Khatrak was a promising young model whose future in fashion looked bright. But fate and love had other plans when she crossed paths with a young, ambitious actor named Sanjay Khan.

How Zarine Khan Met Sanjay Khan — A Beachside “Hi” That Started It All

It was a sunny morning in Juhu when 14-year-old Zarine Khatrak, then a schoolgirl and budding beauty, went for a walk with her friend along the shoreline. The dashing young Pathans, including Sanjay Khan (known as Abbas then), had just moved into her neighbourhood.

As fate would have it, she noticed Abbas walking ahead of them. He turned around and playfully wrote “Hi” in the sand. Her friend replied with another “Hi,” and soon after, he caught up to them, starting a conversation that would mark the beginning of something unforgettable.

Later that day, Abbas invited her for coffee. Dressed in white with a book in hand, he impressed young Zarine with his charm, intellect, and confidence. What began as a casual meeting soon turned into a deep connection. Within days, Abbas expressed his feelings, and although Zarine asked for time, their bond only grew stronger with each passing moment.

ZARINE KHAN, Sanjay Khan’s Wife and mother of Zayed Khan, died at 81
due to age-related ailments.

She breathed her last at her Mumbai residence.

Zarine khan is survived by her husband, Sanjay Khan and 4 kids Sussane khan, Simon Arora, Farah Ali khan & Zayed Khan.

Zarine Khatrak — The Model Who Gave It All Up For Love

Zarine Khatrak, before getting involved in a relationship with Sanjay Khan, was a popular model. She was even touted to be the next Miss India. Persis Khambatta, a fashionista and supermodel, wanted to take her on a two-year contract in London. In an interview with Filmfare, she revealed how her then-boyfriend and later husband, Sanjay, was possessive about it. She said, “My boyfriend was so possessive, he said, ‘Either you go to London or stay with me’. I chose to be with him, and I’m glad. Today I have a family.”

Zarine gave up modelling at the age of 17. She and Abbas (Sanjay Khan’s real name) started living together in a rented flat, for which they had to pay Rs 400. However, they couldn’t afford it and had to sublet it to Balraj Sahani’s cousin at Rs 250. They only had a fan, which they shared between them. But that flat turned out to be lucky. She said, “Soon Abbas began signing films. He bagged Satyen Bose’s Dosti and Chetan Anand’s Haqeeqat in the early ’60s. Both were silver jubilees, and Abbas came to be known as the silver jubilee star.” They got married on April 16, 1966, and had three daughters and a son – Farah, Simone, Sussanne, and Zayed.

But their marriage wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. When Zarine Khan was pregnant with Zayed, rumors about Sanjay Khan having an affair with Zeenat Aman started to circulate. In the same interview, she admitted, “It came as a shock. I went through much emotional turmoil when I was carrying Zayed. But I had self-confidence. I’d wear six-inch heels in the ninth month of my pregnancy just to be stylish, just to keep up a brave front. I was heartbroken!” She further added how she gave an ultimatum to Sanjay and shared, “I threw a tantrum and gave him an ultimatum that I’d walk out. That’s when things returned to normalcy. Maybe it was just ‘a mad wind’ that blew over.”

Following this, their marriage returned to normalcy, although people and the media never stopped talking about Sanjay’s affair. She lived her life to the fullest and in the most stylish way.

Why Kareena Kapoor Rejected Kal Ho Naa Ho

Kareena Kapoor Almost Did Kal Ho Naa Ho But Left Karan Johar “Very Hurt” — Here’s Why!

Why Kareena Kapoor Rejected Kal Ho Naa Ho(Photo Credit –Instagram/Prime Video)

Kal Ho Naa Ho remains one of Bollywood’s most classic films. Produced by Karan Johar, it features Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Priety Zinta in pivotal roles that are still engraved in the audience’s hearts. However, did you know that Kareena Kapoor Khan was initially considered for the role of Naina Catherine Kapoor in the film? Read on to know more.

Kareena Kapoor Khan Made A Bold Request

During the casting of Kal Ho Naa Ho, Karan Johar wanted Kareena Kapoor to play Naina in the film. However, she demanded to be paid the same amount as Shah Rukh Khan. Eventually, Karan replaced her, and Priety Zinta came on board. In his autobiography, An Unsuitable Boy, KJO has mentioned that he was hurt and decided to replace her, as per News18.

Karan Johar wrote, “On the weekend of Mujhse Dosti Karoge’s release, I offered Kareena Kal Ho Naa Ho, and she asked for the same money that Shah Rukh Khan was getting. I said, ‘Sorry’. I was very hurt. I told my father, ‘Leave the negotiation room,’ and I called her. She didn’t take my call, and I said, ‘We’re not taking her.’ And we signed Priety Zinta instead. Kareena and I didn’t speak to each other for a year and a half. For a year, we looked through each other at parties. It was very idiotic. She was a kid; she’s a decade younger than me.”

Cold War Between Karan Johar & Kareena Kapoor Khan

This disagreement led to a rift between Karan and Kareena, which lasted nearly 18 months. It was until Karan’s father, legendary filmmaker Yash Johar, died in 2004. In the same book, he has also shared how they reconciled after a long time.“We didn’t speak for a year and a half. It was only when my father was diagnosed with cancer that she called me. She was silent, and I was silent.”

KJo further added, “She said, ‘I don’t know what to say.’ I said, ‘Don’t say anything, I know you are there.’ When he (Yash Johar) passed away, she was in Bangkok, and we still had not mended things. The moment she landed from her shoot, she came home. We spent all night just chatting. We went back to where we were. When we had fought, I said, “I am never going to speak with her again.”

Pay Disparity Issue In Bollywood

The gender-based pay disparity is a constant topic of discussion in the Hindi film industry. However, many actresses have spoken out about being paid less than their male co-stars. Looking back, Kareena Kapoor’s demand for equal pay was far ahead of its time, and this is one of the incidents that shows the significant disparity in pay.

COS’s Sweater Is on the Lyst Index: Here’s Where to Shop It

by jummy84 November 6, 2025
written by jummy84

One brand that’s been on every fashion person’s lips this year is COS—and rightfully so. In 2025, the Swedish brand experienced significant growth and success. It returned to New York Fashion Week for a fourth straight season with a see-now, buy-now collection, tested pop-ups in Europe and Korea, and consistently launched collections that are modern, timeless, and wearable. It has now become the third hottest brand, behind Saint Laurent and Miu Miu, according to The Lyst Index Q3 2025 Report. To top it all off, its Chunky Cashmere Sweater was one of this quarter’s hottest items.

Of course, a cashmere crewneck sweater isn’t new, but COS’s version feels fresh and modern. Unlike other styles, it features a chunky ribbed collar design with matching ribbing on the cuffs and hem. The drop shoulders and oversize fit—two small details that many brands struggle to perfect—give it an effortlessly chic look. It’s available in a variety of neutral colors such as navy, black, gray, and beige, as well as muted shades like pale pink and pastel yellow.

Since this sweater was released at the end of 2024, fashion insiders are aware of it and have already had the chance to get theirs, including our shopping director, Bobby Schuessler. As a result, many colors are now sold out; however, two options remain available. With that said, if you want to snag the hottest sweater of 2025 before it sells out completely by next week, keep scrolling because we’ve linked them below. While you’re at it, check out the other crewneck sweaters that will have you looking put-together and feeling cozy all winter long.

Here’s How the November Supermoon Will Affect Every Zodiac Sign

Here’s How the November Supermoon Will Affect Every Zodiac Sign

by jummy84 November 5, 2025
written by jummy84

On November 5, 2025, the Supermoon—the biggest and brightest of the year—is closest to the Earth in its orbit. Its power is therefore tenfold—and with it, our feelings and sensations. This is particularly true for four astrological signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. But that doesn’t mean the other signs won’t feel any kind of shift. Here, find the impact of this Supermoon in detail on each zodiac sign, by astrologer Léa Baixo.

Aries

“On November 5, the Supermoon in Taurus illuminates your relationship with security, money and self-esteem. For the past two weeks, you may have been feeling discomfort: fear of missing out, doubts about your legitimacy, or feelings of not being enough. But this Moon reminds you of an essential truth: your value doesn’t depend on how productive you are, or how others see you. The energy of this Moon teaches you the power of knowing who you are and not needing to prove it. This Moon invites you to reconnect with the pleasure of receiving, to savor comfort without guilt. This isn’t about materialism: it’s rooted in self-love. Here you learn to build inner security before outer security. You won’t find peace by accumulating more, but by recognizing that you are already complete. ‘True wealth is the serenity of knowing that you are already enough.’ This sentence sums it all up: life doesn’t wait for you to be perfect, but for you to be confident.”

Top Tip: Every morning, write down “I deserve…” and end the sentence with three truths. Choose one to honor during the day. This simple ritual re-programs your relationship to value and naturally attracts abundance.

Taurus

“On November 5, the Supermoon in Taurus sheds light on your identity. For the past two weeks, you may have been feeling that your image, your posture, or even your rhythm no longer resemble you. This Moon acts like a mirror without make-up: it invites you to stop playing a role and return to your authentic self. If you’re feeling tired, irritable, or out of alignment, it could be because you’re carrying too many of other people’s expectations on your shoulders. This Moon’s energy teaches you to slow down and put down roots. You no longer need to be perfect. Your true power lies in your constancy, your gentleness, your inner calm. This Full Moon invites you to reclaim your body, your voice, your image. It’s an inner rebirth—that of a person who no longer hides behind what they do, but simply remembers who they are. You don’t have to prove anything—and your authenticity becomes your most magnetic charm.”

Top tip: Every morning, before reaching for your phone, place your hand on your heart and ask yourself, “How can you be true to yourself today?” Then act on the answer. This is how your outer world will realign you with your essence.

Gemini

“On November 5, the Supermoon in Taurus closes a profound cycle. For the past two weeks, you’ve felt that something is coming to an end: a relationship, a habit, a way of thinking. It’s not a loss, however: it’s a shedding. This Moon’s energy invites you to embrace slowness, to stop fighting against what’s fading away. This cycle marks the silent healing that cannot be seen, but can be felt. You learn to trust life without understanding everything. This Moon prepares you for rebirth. Emptiness is not a punishment: it’s the space the universe clears before your new beginning. It’s not the end of a story, it’s the breath between two chapters. Take a breath. Everything is already falling into place.”

Happy Halloween – here’s Lankum’s haunting cover of The Specials’ ‘Ghost Town’

by jummy84 November 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Lankum have shared a haunting, creepy cover of The Specials’ 1981 classic ‘Ghost Town’ – check it out below.

The track will be released as a standalone 12” single via Rough Trade Records on January 30, with an elaborate etching on the B-side. You can pre-order your single here.

The Dublin experimental folk band originally covered the song as a contribution to Oona Doherty’s dance show ‘Specky Clark’ at London’s Sadler’s Wells Theatre earlier this year, and they have now unveiled a video for the eight-minute track, shot in County Wicklow and directed by Leonn Ward.

The single stays true to Lankum’s signature ‘folk drone’ style initially, with a crawling, insidious pace and discordant strings lending extra menace to the song’s legendary anti-Thatcherite lyrics, before it erupts into a cacophonous, electronic climax. Watch the video here:

Lankum have said: “’Ghost Town’ came to us through some curious circumstances. Oona Doherty, who we were familiar with through her phenomenal dance work on the video for Gilla Band’s ‘Shoulderblades’, contacted us and told us about a new show she was putting together. It was about her great-great-grandfather being sent to Belfast as a child to live with his aunts and work in an abattoir. She wanted a new piece of music for the show, for a party scene set on Halloween night, and told us she wanted it to start out indistinguishable and woozy, before developing into the very recognisable track by The Specials.”

“At first we were slightly reticent, since a cover of a ska tune wasn’t something we’d usually ever consider, but after a bit of deliberation we decided we’d give it a shot, and the result took us on an incredibly enjoyable journey that had us gleefully playing with synthesisers and drum machines in Hellfire Studios, trying to come up with the scaldiest 90s sounding techno for the outro section of the track.”

“We’re very excited with the end product and delighted that Oona approached us and challenged us to step out of our comfort zone. It’s an honour to be releasing a version of this iconic tune, and it feels eerily relevant to be referencing yet again themes of urban decay, economic hardship and working class frustration. Enjoy responsibly.”

Doherty added: “I was listening to Lankum and it inspired me to write this dance theatre play called ‘Specky Clark’ using a lot of their music. But for one scene which happens on Halloween night Samhain, I asked the band could they make me a cover of ‘Ghost Town’ by The Specials. And they bloody did. ‘All the clubs have been closed down’. I think this line still hits hard all these years later and in a dub accent speaks to housing crises, the poverty, the privatization of Ireland.  They also managed to make the track rip through this physical plane of existence and dance in the other world…. only Lankum can do that.”

Lankum released their fourth studio album ‘False Lankum’ in 2023, picking up Mercury Prize and Ivor Novello nominations. Guitarist Daragh Lynch told NME last year that the album’s success had been “very unexpected”, adding: “We spent the last four albums just really dedicating ourselves to what we want to do. We thought the last album was one of the weirdest and most inaccessible that we’ve done so far, but for some reason it’s the one that everyone picked up on. Maybe we just need to get weirder and weirder!”

Here’s How to Wear a Blazer in 2026

by jummy84 November 1, 2025
written by jummy84

I love a blazer as much as the next fashion person, but it’s usually styled quite simply: over a T-shirt or button-down. This is still chic, of course, but it can get a little boring. And then I saw the most interesting way to style a blazer that I can remember: Layered under a leather jacket. Kim Kardashian was recently spotted in NYC wearing a sleek pinstripe blazer and an oversized black leather bomber jacket layered over it. I was so intrigued, and I’ve never seen such a fresh take on styling a blazer, especially in the fall and winter.

Simply put, her look was cool from head to toe. For starters, with her blazer, she wore a pair of distressed jeans and pointed–toe boots. Typically, I would wear this type of outfit without the leather jacket, but with it, her outfit takes an unexpected turn that proves to be quite successful, and I think a trend may be in the making. I’m definitely wearing my blazer with a leather jacket layered over it going forward for the rest of the cold-weather season.

If you’re into this cool Kim Kardashian-approved look, keep scrolling to recreate this outfit head-to-toe and shop similar items.
