I Have to Prioritize My Health

Only days after drummer Simon Kirke shared the exciting news that he would reunite with singer Paul Rodgers for a Bad Company performance during the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, Rodgers has backed out of the event citing his health.

Bad Company are set to be inducted along with Soundgarden, OutKast, The White Stripes, Cyndi Lauper, and others this Saturday at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, fans won’t be able to see the two surviving classic members of Bad Company perform together.

In a statement posted to Bad Company’s social media pages on Monday, Rodgers shared the following update:

“My hope was to be at the Rock & Rock Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and to perform for the fans, but at this time I have to prioritize my health. I have no problem singing, it’s the stress of everything else. Thanks for understanding. Simon along with some outstanding musicians will be stepping in for me – guaranteed to rock.”

As Rodgers mentioned, there will still be a Bad Company performance, only it will be feature guest singers performing alongside Kirke and other musicians.

Rodgers revealed a few years ago that he had suffered multiple strokes throughout the years, nearly ending his singing career. However, as he noted in his statement, his absence from the ceremony has nothing to do with his vocal abilities.

Bad Company last performed in October 2019 in Las Vegas. See Paul Rodgers’ Instagram post below.

Pranit More’s Bigg Boss 19 Eviction: Health Issues Take Center Stage! | Glamsham.com

In a shocking turn of events, this weekend’s episode of Bigg Boss 19 aired with the news of one of its favorite comedians, Pranit More, leaving the show. The audience was excited to see who would get eliminated on October 31, 2025. But as a surprise, instead of the usual elimination, it got announced that Pranit had been taken to the hospital after his health started deteriorating inside the house.

Sources close to the show revealed that the makers had initially decided to suspend the eviction process and focus on Pranit’s medical needs. The doctors suggested immediate attention be given, and the production team has been getting him properly treated. Though the initial plan was to shift him to a secret room — as is sometimes done in the Bigg Boss format — his condition reportedly did not permit him to continue, hence his official elimination from the reality show.

Get well soon @Rj_pranit .

Shame on people who’re enjoying because of some silly challenge.

Since the news broke, fans of the comedian have inundated social media platforms with emotional messages and well-wishes, praying for his recovery. Several fans were disappointed with his untimely exit and termed Pranit one of the most entertaining and genuine contestants this season. Pranit’s humor, cheerful personality, and camaraderie with housemates had made him a fan favorite since the show’s premiere.

Though neither Bigg Boss nor the channel has issued any statement regarding his health condition, sources close to the production have confirmed that he is receiving proper medical treatment and will recover soon.

While Pranit’s health updates are awaited by viewers, the show goes on with charged-up emotions within the house. This incident has also acted as a reminder to fans and contestants alike that beneath the glitter and drama of Bigg Boss lies the very real pressure of surviving weeks of continuous stress and camera surveillance.

AIIMS gastrologist shares 3 simple tests that can ‘literally save your life’ and detect hidden health risks early

Many serious health conditions develop silently. AIIMS gastroenterologist Dr. Saurabh Sethi shares 3 simple tests that can detect risks early and save lives.

Many serious digestive conditions, including liver, stomach, and intestinal disorders, develop quietly without obvious symptoms in the early stages. By the time signs appear, the disease may have progressed significantly. To help detect potential issues before they become life-threatening, Dr Saurabh Sethi, a gastroenterologist trained at AIIMS, Harvard, and Stanford universities, shares in his October 25 Instagram post 3 simple, routine tests that everyone should consider. (Also read: Apollo orthopaedic surgeon says ‘calcium is not enough for bones’; shares how to keep them healthy and strong for life )

Dr. Sethi advocates routine tests to combat hidden health risks for all ages. (Freepik)

1. Lipid profile test

“High LDL cholesterol and triglycerides are early warning signs for heart disease. Globally, nearly 4 in 10 adults have high cholesterol, often without any symptoms,” explains Dr Sethi. Regular lipid profile tests help detect these risks early and allow timely intervention.

2. Blood sugar test

“High blood sugar silently damages your heart, kidneys, and brain. Over 500 million people worldwide have diabetes, and half of them don’t even know it,” warns Dr Sethi. A simple blood sugar test can uncover hidden risks and prevent severe complications.

3. Bone density test

“After 40, bones start weakening faster. Low bone density means even a small fall can cause a fracture. Around 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men over 50 will suffer an osteoporosis-related fracture,” says Dr Sethi. Early screening helps in taking preventive measures to maintain bone health.

“As a doctor, my advice is simple: prevention is always cheaper and smarter than a cure. Share this widely to spread awareness,” concludes Dr Sethi.

Gut health expert reveals 3 supplements that support his fitness routine: From prebiotics to protein powder

by jummy84 October 24, 2025
written by jummy84

Maintaining good gut health is important for fitness as it affects how well we perform and recover from workouts. Recent research published in the journal Medicine in Microecology shows how a balanced gut microbiome plays a key role in our health. What we eat greatly influences our fitness results. Gut health expert Dr Arpit Bansal recommends adding prebiotics, probiotics, and protein shakes to diets to boost physical endurance and overall well-being. He says focusing on gut health can help to reach peak performance and support long-term vitality in our fitness journeys.

Which is better for gut health, prebiotics or probiotics?(Adobe Stock)

Prebiotics vs probiotics vs protein shakes

“As a gut health specialist and surgeon who lives the fitness journey every day, I often get questions about what helps with performance and longevity: prebiotics, probiotics, or protein shakes. The answer is that it’s not about choosing one over the others. It is about finding a good balance among them,” Dr Arpit Bansal, Gut Health and Longevity Specialist, tells Health Shots. He explains some common misunderstandings about these supplements:

Protein shakes

Protein shakes are made of protein powder. When you choose shakes without added sugars or preservatives, they can be a great source of amino acids. These amino acids help with muscle repair, recovery, and stamina, which is important for someone like me who works out, runs, and stays active. “I use protein shakes to help my nutrition, but they are not a substitute for whole foods”, he explains.

Prebiotics and probiotics

“Fitness is often linked to muscle health, but gut health is just as important. I like to think of the gut as a thriving internal rainforest that needs a variety of plants to stay healthy,” says Dr Bansal.

  • Probiotics are good live bacteria found in foods like yoghurt, kefir, and other fermented foods. They add helpful strains to your gut microbiome and support a healthy digestive system.
  • Prebiotics are foods that help good bacteria in your gut grow. They are found in fibre-rich foods like garlic, onions, bananas, asparagus, and oats. Eating these foods ensures that beneficial bacteria in your gut thrive.

When your gut microbiome is balanced and diverse, it helps you in many ways beyond just better digestion. A healthy microbiome improves how you absorb nutrients, speeds up recovery, reduces inflammation, and even boosts brain function. This balance distinguishes between just training hard and actually feeling energised and strong.

Doctor shares his daily habits for gut health

  • Post-workout nutrition: “After my workouts, I usually have a protein shake, sometimes adding fibre or seeds. This helps my muscles recover and gives extra nutrition to my gut,” shares Dr Bansal.
  • Fermented foods: “Every day, I make an effort to include different fermented foods in my meals. Foods like yoghurt, kimchi, and sauerkraut are important staples that add helpful probiotics to my diet”, he notes.
  • Fruits and vegetable: “I eat a variety of colourful fruits and vegetables that are high in prebiotic fibres. This variety gives my gut different types of nourishment, which helps keep my gut bacteria healthy and diverse,” he explains.

Besides this, he underlines the importance of listening to one’s body. Symptoms like bloating, fatigue, or discomfort are signs that I need to pay attention to my health. I often adjust my diet or routine based on these signals,” he adds.

Dr Bansal also does not ignore the connection between muscles, microbes, and mind. He sums up: “Protein shakes help me recover after workouts. They replace what I lose and give me the energy I need for intense exercise. Probiotics and prebiotics are important for my gut health. They help improve my overall well-being and support my mental clarity.”

Benefits of balancing prebiotics, probiotics, and protein

Let’s look at the main benefits of adding prebiotics, probiotics, and protein shakes to your daily routine:

  • Enhanced recovery: Protein shakes help repair muscles and speed up recovery after exercise. This allows you to train consistently.
  • Improved digestion: A healthy gut helps you digest food better and absorb nutrients more effectively. When you support your gut with prebiotics and probiotics, you can feel more energetic and more nutritious.
  • Decreased inflammation: Both probiotics and healthy food choices can help lower inflammation in the body. This is important for living a long and healthy life.
  • Mental clarity: A healthy gut can improve your mood and enhance your cognitive function. This helps you focus better and feel more positive about life.
  • Overall well-being: When balanced, this combination of nutrients helps your immune system stay healthy, keeps your hormones in balance, and makes it easier for you to handle stress.

'9-1-1: Nashville's Isabelle Tate's Neuromuscular Disease: Her Health Before She Died at 23

Isabelle Tate had just appeared in an episode of 9-1-1: Nashville before she died in October 2025. She was just 23 and was battling a nervous system condition known as neuromuscular disease for several years. In the wake of Tate’s untimely death, fans, colleagues and peers are mourning her as they learn more about her health and final years.

According to Tate’s obituary, her full name was Isabelle Adora Tate, and she died on October 19, 2025. Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Tate obtained her bachelor’s degree in business from Middle Tennessee State University and “wanted to change the world.”

“She was also an aspiring actress, and was most recently even featured in a TV show,” the obituary read. “Isabelle loved volunteering her time to all things, particularly animals — her idea of a fun outing was visiting an animal shelter and doling out lots of love. Isabelle was full of fire, a fighter, never once making excuses for the fact that she might have a disability relative to others. She was also quite musically inclined, often spending hours writing and recording songs with friends and even publishing a few.”

Below, learn more about Tate’s life, career, accomplishments and health history before she died.

How Did Isabelle Tate Die?

Though no cause of death has official been disclosed, Tate was battling an illness known as neuromuscular disease.

What Is Neuromuscular Disease?

Neuromuscular disorders are a range of conditions that involve the dysfunction of one’s “peripheral nerves, muscles or the communication between them,” per Cleveland Clinic. The disease causes muscle weakness, muscle atrophy and numbness and/or tingling.

Tate had been diagnosed with the illness when she was just 13, according to a December 2022 Instagram post from her unverified account.

“This has been a difficult journey for me because having to accept help and surrender to the progression of this condition has been extremely hard,” Tate wrote at the time. “While I was trying to come to terms with this, I really did find that I lost myself in certain ways. I hated that it was not only breaking me down physically, but I was allowing it to also break down my spirit.

Adding that she “never expected something like this to happen,” Tate wrote, “I don’t know why these were the cards I was dealt in life, but I can’t change it so I’m choosing to embrace it and not let it define me.”

What Was Isabelle Tate’s 9-1-1: Nashville Character?

Tate booked her first major TV gig in the 9-1-1: Nashville series premiere as a character attending a bachelorette party. In the scene, she interacts with stripper Blue, who becomes a firefighter. Blue is played by Hunter McVey.

McVey shared a statement with People about Tate’s death, noting that he was “shocked to hear the news.”

“I didn’t know Isabelle prior to filming, but I couldn’t have asked for someone better to work with on one of my first ever days on set,” McVey said. “I was terrified, nervous, and after each take, we would get to exchange a couple words which were always supportive from her. I got the pleasure of talking with her after the scene, and she had such a great energy. You could tell she brought joy to a lot of people. I’m thankful I got a chance to work with Isabelle and that a part of her will live on forever in the pilot episode of 9-1-1 Nashville. Prayers for her family.”

Diane Keaton dies at 79: Inside Godfather actor’s battle against her health struggles

Diane Keaton kept her personal life mostly private before her death at 79 in California, according to her family.

While she never shared any major health updates publicly in her final months, Keaton had previously spoken about her long battles with skin cancer and bulimia, according to E! Online.

Her trademark hats were more than a fashion choice. She began wearing them seriously after being diagnosed with skin cancer at 21.

“It’s a family history,” she told the Los Angeles Times in 2015. “I remember my Auntie Martha had skin cancer so bad they removed her nose. My father had basal skin cancer and my brother had it. It’s tricky with this skin cancer. That’s why you’ve got to put the sunblock on.”

Keaton didn’t pay attention to her skin in her 20s

Keaton said she didn’t start caring for her skin until later in life. “Back in my 20s I didn’t pay attention much,” she admitted. “I didn’t research and didn’t really care and that was stupid because it’s dogged me my entire adult life, even recently. I didn’t start sun care until my 40s.”

After being treated for basal cell carcinoma in her 20s, Keaton was later diagnosed with squamous cell cancer, which required two surgeries, according to the Times.

She also spoke openly about her battle with bulimia, which began after being told to lose 10 pounds for a Broadway role early in her career.

“All I did was feed my hunger, so I am an addict,” she said in a 2014 interview with Dr. Oz. “It’s true. I’m an addict in recovery, I’ll always be an addict. I have an addictive nature to me.”

Keaton consumed 20,000 calories a day before purging.

Keaton described how she would eat up to 20,000 calories a day before purging. “Typical dinner was a bucket of chicken, several orders of fries with blue cheese and ketchup, a couple TV dinners, a quart of soda, pounds of candy, a whole cake and three banana cream pies,” she said.

Eventually, she sought help. “Somebody mentioned that I seemed to have some mental issues, so I went to an analyst,” she said. “I would go five days a week.”

Keaton adopted children in her 50s

Keaton, who adopted daughter Dexter, 29, and son Duke, 25, in her 50s, later said she felt no need to hide her past.

“I have nothing to hide. It’s not relevant, but for me it feels good,” she wrote in her 2011 book Then Again, according to the New York Daily News. “I think I’m a sister to all the rest of the women, and I’m sure men as well, who have had some kind of eating disorder, and I’m a part of the team.”

Diane Keaton, recognized for her iconic on-screen performances in various films, died on October 11, 2025, at the age of 79. She is survived by her two children, Dexter and Duke. Her death appeared sudden to fans, most of whom wonder what happened to Keaton in her final days. Some weren’t aware of her health history with skin cancer, which the late Oscar winner opened up about in the past.

Below, Hollywood Life breaks down what we know about Diane’s health and the last few months of her life.

Did Diane Keaton Have Health Issues Before She Died?

Yes, Keaton previously battled skin cancer. The late Annie Hall star was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma when she was in her 20s and was diagnosed with squamous cell cancer years later. She underwent two surgeries to combat the second diagnosis, per the Los Angeles Times.

During a 2015 interview with the Times, the late Something’s Gotta Give actress noted that the illness ran in her family.

“It’s a family history,” she explained. “I remember my Auntie Martha had skin cancer so bad they removed her nose. My father had basal skin cancer, and my brother had it. It’s tricky with this skin cancer. That’s why you’ve got to put the sunblock on.”

What Happened to Diane Keaton? Her ‘Decline’ Before Death

According to CNN and ABC News, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call for medical assistance at Keaton’s home on October 11, 2025, and an unidentified person was transported to a hospital.

Shortly after People broke the news of her death, the outlet reported that The Godfather star’s health had “declined very suddenly” during her final days.

“She declined very suddenly, which was heartbreaking for everyone who loved her,” a friend of Keaton’s told the publication. “It was so unexpected, especially for someone with such strength and spirit.”

The friend added that Keaton did not tell some of her friends about her condition during the last few months of her life.

“In her final months, she was surrounded only by her closest family, who chose to keep things very private,” the insider said. “Even longtime friends weren’t fully aware of what was happening.”

What Was Diane Keaton’ Cause of Death?

At the time of publication, no cause of death has been disclosed. It’s still unclear how Keaton died.
