Forestry England has launched ticket sales for this year’s Forest Live concert series, once again powered by Nuweb Group, its official ticketing technology partner.

Forest Live is a long-running outdoor music event that brings major artists to woodland venues across England.

Northern Irish rock band Snow Patrol will return to the Forest Live stage, joining UB40 as the first confirmed headliners for 2026.

Celebrating its 25 year anniversary next year, the outdoor concert series has welcomed more than two million people since their launch.

The proceeds from the events directly support conservation, reforestation, and wildlife projects.

“By attending a concert, you are also investing in the future of these incredible spaces, as the funds raised go towards preserving the nation’s forests for generations to come,” said Rhodri Jones, Forestry England’s National Events Programme Manager.

Tickets for Forest Live 2026 are available through the dedicated platform at tickets.forestryengland.uk, powered by Nuweb Group.

Since 2024, Forestry England has partnered with Nuweb Group to manage ticketing across its national programme.

The platform supports sales for both large-scale concerts and everyday forest admissions, which welcomed 285mn visits in the 2023/24 period.

Forestry England and Nuweb Group continue to deliver one of the UK’s most sustainable event experiences – where every ticket sold helps keep the nation’s forests growing.

Frank Sinatra Estate Stake Acquired by Iconic Artists Group

written by jummy84

Iconic Artists Group (IAG) has acquired a portion of the Frank Sinatra estate.

IAG founder Irving Azoff revealed the news about the legendary singer while speaking at Bloomberg’s Screentime Conference, held Oct. 8-9 in Los Angeles. As first reported by Bloomberg on Sunday (Oct. 12), Azoff said Iconic “recently acquired a chunk of the Sinatra estate.”

Frank Sinatra Enterprises (FSE) confirmed the deal in a statement to Billboard: “Frank Sinatra Enterprises, Tina Sinatra, and Warner Music Group are delighted to welcome Irving Azoff and Iconic to the dedicated team serving the life’s work and legacy of Frank Sinatra.”

In 2007, Sinatra’s family and Warner Music Group (WMG) formed Frank Sinatra Enterprises, a global partnership to manage all aspects of Sinatra’s career, as well as his name and likeness. The deal also included ownership of Sinatra’s recordings from his Reprise era. Sinatra started Reprise, which is now owned by WMG, in 1960. FSE also represents Sinatra’s rights to his Columbia and Capitol catalogs.

It is unclear how much of the estate IAG acquired. Azoff declined to comment beyond his Screentime remarks, as did FSE beyond its statement. WMG also declined to comment.

The deal comes nearly three years after Iconic made an agreement with the Dean Martin Family Trust to manage and expand the fellow Rat Packer’s legacy. The deal included name, image and likeness, as well as the trust’s share of Martin’s Capitol and Reprise Records sound recordings, feature films, and Martin’s variety shows and specials.

During Azoff’s Q&A at Bloomberg, moderator Lucas Shaw, Bloomberg’s managing editor of media and entertainment, also asked Azoff what he considers the most valuable catalog in the world. “I normally would have said The Beatles, but I’m not sure that’s true anymore,” Azoff said. “You maybe gotta say Taylor [Swift] at this point.”

IAG works with a number of other artists and estates, including The Beach Boys, Linda Ronstadt, Cher, Rod Stewart and Nat King Cole, among others. Azoff told Bloomberg‘s Shaw that The Beach Boys’ revenue has doubled since IAG got involved in their business.

Election to take place for new Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events

Election to take place for new Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events

The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events (APPG) has announced that an Extraordinary General Meeting will take place in Parliament on 22nd October 2025 to elect a new Chair of the APPG. The election follows the resignation of current Chair, Shaun Davies MP, as a result of him being appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to the Secretary of State for Defence. Parliamentary rules prevent a member of the Government from chairing an APPG.

Gill German MP, Member of Parliament for Clwyd North, has been nominated as Chair Elect of the APPG, with Martin Rhodes MP, Member of Parliament for Glasgow North, stepping into the role of Vice Chair.

As well as representing Clwyd North, Gill German serves as a member of the Welsh Affairs Select Committee, bringing valuable insight and experience to the APPG for Events. If elected, her appointment will strengthen the Group’s work to ensure the continued recognition and support of the UK’s events sector across Parliament and Westminster.

A spokesperson for the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events said: “We look forward to welcoming our Parliamentary Members to the Extraordinary General Meeting on 22nd October, and to electing a new Chair to ensure that the important work of the APPG continues and that we work in partnership with the events sector to strengthen the industry’s voice in Parliament and across Westminster.

In addition to 34 Parliamentary Members, the APPG also now has 10 Corporate Members, including beam, Raccoon Media Group, Togather, Event Hire Association, SEC, Association of Events Venues,, Experience Oxfordshire Venues, Meetings Industry Association, Manchester Central and Telford International Centre.

PR & Communications agency Davies Tanner, through its The Business of Events Think Tank and Advocacy Network, manages the APPG for Events and acts as a Special Advisor to the group.

Sandra Oh on Grey’s Anatomy Group Chat

by jummy84 October 14, 2025

In season three, Burke abandoned Cristina at the altar and then just took off, eventually winning a Harper Avery award elsewhere and then at some point, moving to Zurich, Switzerland to open his own hi-tech hospital. He got married, started a family, and then in season 10, he invited Cristina to his hospital to take it over for him as he retired.

Isaiah Washington left the series after it was reported that he called costar T.R. Knight a gay slur during an argument on set with Patrick Dempsey, and all his defenses just kept making it worse before he finally was let go from the series. Apparently he and ABC made up, because they let him return for a second in 2014.

As for what Washington has said of the incident? He later issued a public apology, adding in another statement, “I can also no longer deny to myself that there are issues I obviously need to examine within my own soul, and I’ve asked for help.”

In the years since his Grey’s Anatomy departure,he has starred as Thelonious Jaha on The CW’s The 100, until his character died in season five, followed by Starz’ critically acclaimed P-Valley.

Judge Throws Out Drake’s “Not Like Us” Defamation Lawsuit Against Universal Music Group

by jummy84 October 11, 2025
written by jummy84

Drake’s federal lawsuit against his own record label, Universal Music Group (UMG), for their involvement promoting Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us” is officially over after a federal judge threw it out on Thursday (October 9), reports the Associated Press. In her ruling, Judge Jeannette A. Vargas stated that the song is a series of opinions, not defamatory allegations, and listeners were aware of such.

“Although the accusation that Plaintiff is a pedophile is certainly a serious one, the broader context of a heated rap battle, with incendiary language and offensive accusations hurled by both participants, would not incline the reasonable listener to believe that ‘Not Like Us’ imparts verifiable facts about Plaintiff,” wrote Judge Vargas.

In the lawsuit, Drake also claimed the popularity of “Not Like Us” was to blame for attempted break-ins to his Toronto residence and a security guard getting shot. The single artwork depicts an aerial view of his mansion from Google Maps and overlaid with “more than a dozen sex offender markers,” which Judge Vargas said were “obviously exaggerated and doctored.” She added, “No reasonable person would view the image and believe that in fact law enforcement had designated thirteen residents in Drake’s home as sex offenders.”

After the lawsuit was thrown out yesterday, Drake’s legal team released a statement, saying, “We intend to appeal today’s ruling, and we look forward to the Court of Appeals reviewing it.”

UMG shared their own update following the ruling, stating: “From the outset, this suit was an affront to all artists and their creative expression and never should have seen the light of day. We’re pleased with the court’s dismissal and look forward to continuing our work successfully promoting Drake’s music and investing in his career.”

Music Festival Brand Breakaway Adds Two Executives to Ownership Group

by jummy84 October 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Independent live entertainment brand Breakaway is expanding its leadership team with two new partners: Cultural entrepreneur Shaun Neff and entertainment executive Nick Gross, who have officially joined Breakaway’s ownership group, it was announced Wednesday (Oct. 8). It’s a move that underscores the company’s ambition to scale beyond festivals into music, media and lifestyle ventures.

The announcement follows a milestone year for Breakaway, which in 2025 staged its largest festival season yet: With events across 12 U.S. cities, it became the nation’s largest multi-city touring festival. Earlier this year, the company launched Breakaway Projects, a record label and artist management arm dedicated to nurturing emerging talent aligned with the brand’s creative DNA.

“Bringing Shaun and Nick into the Breakaway family is like adding rocket fuel to everything we’ve been building,” said Adam Lynn, Breakaway’s co-founder and CEO, in a statement. “They understand Breakaway’s broader strategic vision — evolving beyond live events by developing new formats and engaging audiences across multiple platforms. As Breakaway evolves, we’re building a team that reflects that direction.”

Breakaway chief revenue officer William Van Orsdel added, “Breakaway isn’t just a festival anymore — it’s a movement. We’re proud of the culture we’re building and even more proud of the ownership group we’ve assembled to take us to the next level.”

Neff and Gross bring a blend of creative entrepreneurship and industry experience that mirrors Breakaway’s cross-platform ambitions.

Neff, best known as the founder of Neff Headwear, built his reputation through collaborations with icons like Snoop Dogg, Kevin Durant and Wiz Khalifa before co-founding Beach House Group, the brand incubator behind celebrity ventureslike Moon Oral Care with Kendall Jenner, Pattern with Tracee Ellis Ross, BÉIS with Shay Mitchell and Florence by Mills with Millie Bobby Brown. He was also part-owner of Sun Bum, which was acquired by SC Johnson in 2019, and now sits in the ownership groups of both X Games and Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC).

“Breakaway has already built something powerful — a national platform that resonates with Gen Z culture,” said Neff. “Our goal now is to scale that foundation intentionally, and expand in a way that deepens cultural relevance and community connection.”

For his part, Gross — through his Gross Labs umbrella — operates Big Noise, the record label he co-founded with producer John Feldmann; Find Your Grind, an edtech and career discovery platform for K-12 students; and Noise Nest Studios, his content and recording facility in Los Angeles. Gross’ portfolio spans investments across sports, entertainment and lifestyle ventures, including Tiger Woods’ TGL Golf League, X Games and Oklahoma City’s professional soccer franchise. As a musician himself, Gross has toured globally with Avril Lavigne and Machine Gun Kelly.

“The mission is clear: amplify artists, empower fans, and break the mold,” Gross said in a statement. “That’s what drew me to Breakaway.”

Lynn added that expanding ownership to include creative entrepreneurs like Neff and Gross is a deliberate move to strengthen Breakaway’s foundation for the future. “We’re not just building festivals,” he said. “We’re building a brand that can live across every medium — from stages to screens to the products people use every day.”

Nehal Chudasama, Farhana Bhatt, And Malti Chahar Formed New Group In Bigg Boss 19 House Changing The Whole Dynamics

The reality show Bigg Boss 19 has now been airing for over a month, and the dynamics inside the house are becoming increasingly complex. While two major alliances dominate the scene, several housemates remain unaffiliated, paving the way for a third group to emerge and fans are already buzzing about the potential drama this new formation could bring. Following the latest round of nominations, housemates participated in a unique ration task that required them to recreate image signs while facing the pressure of ration cuts.

Despite the efforts of housemates, their food supply was reduced, adding tension and urgency to the competition. In the most recent promo for Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 19, Bigg Boss announces an intriguing twist and said, “You will have to take a practical exam at the BB Retreat, and two experts will be doing motivational speaking.” The housemates gathered in the garden area, where they laid on the floor to form signs displayed on the screen, marking the beginning of this unusual challenge.

In a surprising turn, contestants Tanya Mittal and Malti Chahar took on the roles of motivational speakers, delivering blunt and candid feedback to their fellow housemates. During which, Gaurav Khanna wrapped up his speech with a warning and said, “Tie the belts on your seat, because the weather is about to turn bad.” Away from the task, housemates Nehal Chudasama, Farhana Bhatt, and Malti Chahar huddled on the couch to discuss the emerging house dynamics.

Malti Chahar

Malti expressed frustration, saying, “Brother, I’ll get bored seeing such groups for two months,” while pointing at the existing alliance led by Amal and Zeeshan, commenting, “These guys are set.” Farhana proposed a bold plan and said, “Let’s do one thing, let’s create a new group. We’ll ruin the whole house.” Malti predicted that one of the three would spark a fight, and Nehal agreed, stating, “Really? All three of us are opinionated.”

Glen Powell’s phone ‘keeps buzzing’ thanks to a group chat with his Top Gun: Maverick castmates

The actor, 36, starred in the 2022 sequel to the original Top Gun film, and has now said he and his co-stars’ bonds have endured well beyond filming as they continue to share updates and celebrate one another’s achievements by text.

He told People: “Sometimes I’ll get a little information every once in a while from the gang. The Top Gun chain is alive with congratulations to each other, about sort of movie openings or nominations, or whatever it is.”

Glen added: “Miles’ movie doing really well, Monica getting nominated for an Oscar. Everybody is getting to do all these really wonderful, cool things, so it’s a lot of congratulations.”

The star was referring to fellow cast members Miles Teller and Monica Barbaro, and also mentioned Lewis Pullman and Danny Ramirez.

Top Gun: Maverick follows Tom Cruise as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, returning to the ‘Top Gun’ Naval aviation program 30 years after his graduation.

His new students include Miles as Lt Bradley ‘Rooster’ Bradshaw, the son of his late best friend Goose, originally played by Anthony Edwards in the 1986 film.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the sequel was a critical and commercial hit.

It earned nominations at the Academy Awards, the Critics’ Choice Awards and the Golden Globes, and was named one of the top films of 2022 by the American Film Institute.

In January 2024, Variety confirmed a new sequel was in development.

Christopher McQuarrie, the writer-producer on Top Gun: Maverick, told the Happy Sad Confused podcast in May a third film in the franchise was in the works.

Despite the excitement, Glen said his group chat has not provided any insider knowledge on the upcoming project.

He told People: “I wish. I wish I had something. I literally have nothing.

“There’s been no new dialogue on that text chain. There was a lot of speculation about a movie there for a while, but no new intel.”

Glen is currently promoting his new Hulu comedy series Chad Powers, launched in partnership with Raising Cane’s.

The show will begin streaming on 30 September.

Yasmin Williams Says Organized Republican Group Heckled Her at Kennedy Center

by jummy84 September 26, 2025
written by jummy84

Last week, on September 18, Yasmin Williams performed at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Despite having previously had a heated email exchange with Kennedy Center president Richard Grenell, Williams said that she felt it was important to play “the show for all the Kennedy Center staff who formed their own union and are still working there, fighting to maintain the institution’s integrity.”

During the concert, which took place at the Washington, D.C., center’s Millennium Stage, Williams was heckled by an organized group of Log Cabin Republicans, she said online. “During my Kennedy Center show on Thursday night, a group of Tr*mp supporters boo’d me when I mentioned Ric Grenell and seemed to be there to intimidate me,” Williams wrote on social media. She also shared screenshots of an apparent email sent out by Andrew Minik, the president of the group’s Washington, D.C., chapter, imploring members to “make sure the audience is filled with patriots!”

During her show, which is available to watch in full below, Williams reiterated her support for Kennedy Center staff and criticized the organization’s board of trustees, a group that was put together by President Donald J. Trump after he made himself the center’s new chairman.

“I do not support the new board at all; I don’t support anyone affiliated with them; I don’t support anyone affiliated with the Trump administration at all—especially you, Ric Grenell,” Williams said. “I am not a fan of yours at all.” Applause and boos can be heard in the video, too.

After the show, Williams wrote on social media that her “safety was threatened” and that security “escorted [her] to [her] car to keep [her] safe.” She also told Washingtonian about the apparent hecklers. “They booed and heckled me,” she said. “They tried to derail my concert, but fortunately they were outnumbered.”

In an email to The Washington Post, Kennedy Center spokesperson Roma Daravi disputed Williams’ claims about the organized efforts to disrupt her performance. “This is an absolutely ridiculous claim,” Daravi wrote. “There was no coordinated effort by the Kennedy Center. Grenell had no involvement. We did not even know they were coming.”

Daravi also claimed that Log Cabin Republican members “did not heckle and frankly it is defamation of character for her [Yasmin Williams] to say that—she however bashed Grenell and the Center from the Kennedy Center stage. Republicans are patrons too and they are welcome at the Kennedy Center just like anyone else.”
