“We all perform in some way… George has a real understanding of that & conveys it with incredible truth and honesty.” Netflix has revealed a making of featurette for the film Jay Kelly, from filmmaker Noah Baumbach, starring the one-and-only George Clooney as mega famous actor Jay Kelly. It first premiered at the 2025 Venice & Telluride Film Festivals, and begins playing in theaters starting this week before it’s on Netflix in December. Jay Kelly and his devoted manager Ron embark upon a whirlwind, profound journey across Europe. They confront choices they’ve made, relationships with loved ones and the legacies they will leave behind. The huge ensemble cast features George Clooney as Jay Kelly and Adam Sandler as his long-time manager, plus Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Grace Edwards, Stacy Keach, Jim Broadbent, Patrick Wilson, Greta Gerwig, Eve Hewson, Alba Rohrwacher, Josh Hamilton, Lenny Henry, Emily Mortimer, & many more. “You’re never alone.” “Really? I think I’m always alone.” This is a wonderful film about being an actor, and about being human and how making movies connects us all anyway. This featurette focuses on Clooney as an actor, with a few behind-the-scenes glimpses. Mostly it features other cast & crew talking about how much they enjoyed working with George on this & his humility.

Here’s the new George Clooney featurette for Noah Baumbach’s film Jay Kelly, from Netflix’s YouTube:

Little Feat Announce Final Tour, Share New Song With Inara George: Listen

by jummy84 November 13, 2025

More than half a century after forming, roots-rock stalwarts Little Feat have announced the start of their final tour. The Last Farewell Tour kicks off in April with shows across the southern United States, though the band have confirmed a global tour to follow. Scroll down to see Little Feat’s full list of tour dates.

“Playing is the joy and satisfaction of touring, but it comes with the hard part—travel, the endless miles on a bus,” Little Feat shared in a statement. “It’s definitely not an absolute, never-gonna-play again statement.  This wind-down will take several years to accomplish, and while it does, Feat will continue to perform and record as long as they are able. It’s a retirement from the travel of touring.”

The Last Farewell Tour’s lineup will feature founding keyboardist Bill Payne alongside guitarists Fred Tackett and Scott Sharrard, bassist Kenny Gradney, percussionist Sam Clayton, and drummer Tony Leone. Paul Barrere, the band’s longtime guitarist and singer, died in 2019.

Little Feat shared their latest album, Strike Up the Band, earlier this year. Alongside the tour announcement, they’ve shared “Feathers and a Smile,” a song written by the band’s late co-founder Lowell George and sung by his daughter, Inara George. Listen to it below.

bitchy | Princess Kate & George attended the Festival of Remembrance, William skipped

by jummy84 November 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Before Saturday evening, November 8, no one had seen the Princess of Wales for three-and-a-half weeks. She was last seen in public on October 14 in Northern Ireland, and then she made a brief appearance at Windsor Castle one day later. And that was it – she was in the wind, on vacation and moving into her latest forever home, Forest Lodge. Last night was the Festival of Remembrance, always a big night for the Windsors – all of the working royals (and even a few non-working royals) are expected to show up en masse for a concert ahead of Remembrance Sunday (today).

The Festival of Remembrance would have been a perfect moment for Prince William, fresh from his Brazilian Flop Trip, to show up with a refreshed-looking Kate and show that they are both ready to take over, that they are perfectly in sync and Kate definitely didn’t skip the Brazilian trip because William doesn’t want to spend any time with his wife. Alas, William did not show up to the Festival of Remembrance. I’m trying to think if there was ever a time when then-Prince Charles skipped ANY Remembrance event. I don’t think Charles ever shirked those dates. William’s absence is most likely related to his five-day trip to Brazil, but he left mid-day Friday (from what I can tell) and would have been back in the UK with plenty of time to spare, even flying commercially. Still, British outlets were told that the Brazil-to-London turnaround was “impractical” for Scooter King. He’s showing his real priorities constantly.

Kate brought a distraction from William’s absence – their eldest child, Prince George. This was George’s first Remembrance event (and his father wasn’t there to see it). King Charles pulled Kate and George up to the front tier of the balcony alongside himself and Camilla.

Fashion notes: Kate wore a new Alessandra Rich dress which retails for £1,685. She also wore the HMS Glasgow brooch and earrings which belonged to QEII.

Prince George attends Festval of Remembrance

9 November 2025

Prince George made a surprise appearance at the Festival of Remembrance on Saturday (08.11.25).

Prince George and Catherine, Princess of Wales as the Festival of Remembrance

The 12-year-old royal attended the service at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the first time this weekend, joining his mother Catherine, Princess of Wales, and King Charles and Queen Camilla in the royal box.

The audience at the venue stood as the family entered to the sound of a trumpeters’ fanfare and took their seats, with George, wearing a black suit with a poppy pin, sitting next to his mother.

Catherine wore an Alessandra Rich black dress with a white collar, paired with an HMS Glasgow Brooch and earrings which previously belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth, as well as a handmade poppy created out of silk, glass and other natural materials by Izzy Ager of Lock and Co.

The festival, which marked the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the 25th anniversary of the lifting of a ban preventing gay, lesbian and bisexual military personnel from serving openly, was hosted by Ted Lasso actress Hannah Waddingham.

The royals got to enjoy performances from Sir Rod Stewart with the RAF Squadronaires, the Massed Bands of His Majesty’s Royal Marines, the Household Division and the RAF.

In between the music were tributes to the fallen and reflections from veterans, as well as a focus on military children who have lost parents.

George was last seen in public at the Wimbledon men’s final in July, alongside his mother, father Prince William and 10-year-old sister Princess Charlotte.

In May, he met with World War II veterans at Buckingham palace and has previously attended the VE Day 80 procession with his family.

On Sunday (09.11.25), the king and Prince William – who was in Brazil last week for his Earthshot Prize ceremony – will lay a wreath at the Cenotaph during the annual Remembrance Day Service, with Camilla and Catherine expected to watch the ceremony from a balcony overlooking the monument.

Charles’ sister, Princess Anne, is currently on an official visit to Australia and Singapore, and will lay a wreath at the Anzac Memorial after attending a service in Sydney.

Kate Middleton Channels Princess Diana as Prince George Makes His Festival of Remembrance Debut

by jummy84 November 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Kate Middleton channelled Princess Diana in a black dress with a white frill collar as she brought Prince George to the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall for the first time.

Making her first public appearance in three weeks, the Princess of Wales looked elegant in the black Alessandra Rich dress, which she wore with her favourite Scottish Silver Thistle Brooch and poppy pin. Rather than arriving on the arm of her husband, Prince William, Kate Middleton arrived with her son Prince George, 12, who looked smart in a suit and tie and dutifully shook hands as he arrived at the central London concert venue.

In a dramatic shift from her traditional all-black Remembrance ensembles, the Princess of Wales opted for the somber black dress with contrasting prairie collar. The outfit was reminiscent of one worn by Princess Diana at the 25th London Film Festival, although many of the late royal’s looked featured the distinctive oversized collar.

Middleton added sparkle with her Bahrain Pearl Drop Earrings, which once belonged to Queen Elizabeth II. The Princess of Wales has worn the jewels on a number of previous occasions—and they have a fascinating history. The then Princess Elizabeth created from a cache of seven pearls, which she received as a wedding present in 1947 from the Hakim of Bahrain. The earrings are comprised of round diamond studs, from which are suspended round and baguette-cut diamonds in an Art Deco style, plus two of of the Bahrain pearls.

In the earl years of her marriage, the Queen wore these earrings often for gala occasions and official portraits, including one taken in the 1950s—when she teamed them with two other wedding presents, including the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara and the City of London Fringe Necklace. In 1982, the Queen loaned the earrings to Princess Diana, who appeared to like them just as much, often teaming them with Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara, which was another favourite.

It marked Prince George’s first appearance at a Remembrance event and a major moment in his preparation as a King-in-waiting.

bitchy | George Clooney on Kamala Harris’s candidacy: ‘I think it was a mistake, quite honestly’

by jummy84 November 4, 2025
written by jummy84

As we now know, for many white Democrats, the problem with Joe Biden’s age was that his vice president was a Black and Indian woman. Their concerns about President Biden’s age were inextricably linked to the fact that if anything happened to him, Kamala Harris would be president. That was what was so bizarre to me last year – I voted for Biden in 2020, knowing that he was already a very old man, but I loved the fact that he chose Kamala Harris as his VP and his successor. Choosing Kamala made me love Biden even more, and it made me more eager to vote for him. But for people like George Clooney, they simply lost their f–king minds at the idea of a Harris presidency or Harris presidential nomination. All of the “Biden must drop out” bullsh-t was tied to the podbro pipe dream of an “open primary” and “contested convention” bypassing Kamala Harris (then the sitting vice president) in August, just a few months before an election. They simply never wanted Kamala to be Biden’s successor, period, the end. Well, George Clooney has returned to his favorite topic:

George Clooney has called out Hunter Biden for “outright lies” in his expletive-laden rant trashing Clooney’s role in pushing former President Joe Biden out of the 2024 presidential race. An interview on CBS Sunday Morning gave Clooney the chance to address the comments made by President Biden’s son. Hunter, 55, took aim at Clooney, 64, during an interview on Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan in July, roughly a year after the actor wrote a consequential New York Times op-ed urging Biden not to seek re-election.

“F— you. What do you have to do with f—ing anything? Why do I have to f—ing listen to you?” Hunter said. “What right do you have to step on a man who’s given 52 years of his f—ing life to the service of this country and decide that you, George Clooney, are going to take out basically a full page ad in the f—ing New York Times to undermine the president…”

Clooney—who has previously defended the op-ed as a “civic duty”—fired back in the interview with Sunday Morning’s Seth Doane, saying, “I could spend a lot of time debunking many of the things [Hunter] said because many of the things he said were just outright lies: Obama didn’t put me up to it, it wasn’t my fundraiser—it was my fundraiser, all the things.”

“But the reality is I don’t think looking backwards like that is helpful to anyone, particularly to him. I don’t think it’s helpful for the Democratic party, and so I’m just gonna wish him well on his ongoing recovery and I hope he does well and just leave it at that. I have many personal opinions about it, but I don’t find it to be helpful to have a public spat with him.”

On Sunday, Clooney again defended his op-ed while calling Biden’s decision to effectively hand then-Vice President Kamala Harris the Democratic nomination after dropping out a “mistake.”

“We had a chance. I wanted there to be, as I wrote in the op-ed, a primary. Let’s battle-test this quickly and get it up and going. I think the mistake with it being Kamala is she had to run against her own record and it’s very hard to do if the point of running is to say, ‘I’m not that person,’” Clooney told Doane. “It’s hard to do, and so she was given a very tough task. I think it was a mistake, quite honestly. But, we are where we are.”

[From The Daily Beast]

We’re now, what? About sixteen months past Clooney’s NYT op-ed, and here are some things I believe about that moment now: I don’t think Clooney wrote it, but he put his name to it because he agreed to the general ideas therein. I also believe that Clooney’s perspective, and the perspectives of the men behind the op-ed and the “open primary/contested convention” pipe dream, are fundamentally anti-democratic. Think about what they’re arguing – that the sitting Democratic vice president should have been ignored and passed over so they could have a sausage-party mini-primary in August, but Kamala wouldn’t be allowed to participate and it was somehow unfair to the bros that Kamala… simply got the support and convention delegates she needed to take over the nomination in a matter of days. Kamala’s name was already on the real primary ballots as well, earlier in 2024. But it was a “mistake” for… people to support her, George swears! The Democrat bros should have run someone else without the support Kamala was getting! Keep in mind, George and his family live in France and Italy now.

Kae Tempest shares euphoric George Michael cover ‘Freedom! ’25’

by jummy84 November 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Kae Tempest has released a euphoric cover of George Michael’s ‘Freedom! ‘90’, re-titling it ‘Freedom! ‘25’ – check it out below.

The rapper, poet and playwright released his fifth studio album ‘Self Titled’ in July via Island Records, a record produced by Fraser T. Smith (Adele, Stormzy, Dave) and featuring appearances from Pet Shop Boys’ Neil Tennant, Young Fathers and Connie Constance.

Now, Tempest has released his version of Michael’s vintage pop single, a track he first performed on Jo Whiley’s BBC Radio 2 show from Maida Vale studios around the release of the new album.

Check out the recorded version alongside a clip from the session and the original here:

Speaking about the cover, Tempest has said: “So excited to be joined on this track by Leah Cleaver, whose voice gives me life. It’s been a dream to work together with Fraser and Leah.  I have loved this song forever, but I am still only just now discovering what these lyrics can unlock.”

“This song is a victory,” he added. “Love George Michael so much. Grateful to him for the light he shone. It feels powerful, re-summoning the spirit of this song in this moment. I’ve performed it live a few times, and it’s a stunning feeling to find it with the crowd; it feels like a revelation. All we have to see is that I don’t belong to you, and you don’t belong to me. Freedom”.

Tempest has been touring around Europe in recent weeks and will bring the show to the UK next week, with shows in London, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin. See all the dates and info here and find any remaining tickets here.

NME awarded ‘Self Titled’ four stars, noting: “‘Know Yourself’ is a powerful combination of two voices: Kae today, and Kae years ago, billed as “a dialogue between selves across time, in real time” tracking the process of shifting identity via a sample of an old lyric. Amid these internal battles is a clear vision of the chaotic world outside, too.”

Tempest recently spoke to NME about the new album and the responsibility he feels as a non binary person in the public eye. “It’s not like I feel the weight of a responsibility,” he said. “It was important for me to show up for my community, to show up for myself being a trans man and a non binary person. These are just crucial elements of my make-up.

“If I’m being celebratory and honest and uncompromising about expressing myself, there’s some freedom that will come in terms of other people’s own feelings about what they may not feel comfortable expressing amongst friends, family or in public.”

Who Is George Santos? All About the Expelled Congressman – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 October 18, 2025
written by jummy84

George Santos was expelled from Congress after the House of Representatives voted to remove the Republican congressman, 35, on Friday, December 1, 2023. He’s the sixth member to be ousted in history, after a House Ethics Committee report accused him of breaking federal law, per The Associated Press. He was voted out of Congress as the House vote came in 311-114.

In 2025, he was sentenced by Judge Joanna Seybert to 87 months in prison and nearly $374,000 in restitution for what were described as “unparalleled crimes.” According to NBC News, a prosecutor stated, “It is abundantly clear that, without a substantial deterrent, Santos will continue to deceive and defraud for years to come. That is especially true given Santos’s craven efforts to leverage his lawbreaking as a springboard to celebrity and riches.”

However, in October of that year, Donald Trump commuted Santos’ sentence for an immediate release.

Since Santos was elected, he’s been subject to much scrutiny, as he’s been accused of lying about many aspects of his background. He’s also currently in middle of a legal battle after he was charged with fraud in October, but he has pleaded “not guilty.”

After his expulsion, Santos has become an unlikely viral star. Shortly after making his exit, he began making Cameos, where viewers can buy a personalized message from the disgraced former politician for $500. He also sat down for an in-depth interview with comedian Ziwe. Most recently, it’s been announced that George will be the subject of a new documentary by Jenner Furst, according to The New York Times. Jenner has made popular films, like Time: The Kalief Browder Story, which focused on a former inmate who died by suicide, and Fyre Fraud, which focused on the disastrous Fyre Fest music festival.

Keep reading to find out more about the former congressman.

George Santos Is the First Congressman Expelled in 21 Years

Santos is the sixth person in history to be expelled from the House of Representatives. The last congressman to be expelled was Democratic Ohio Rep. James A. Traficant in 2002. He was booted after being convicted of federal crimes. The first three congressmen to be expelled were in the 19th Century, and they were kicked out for supporting the Confederacy during the Civil War. The other congressman to be expelled, Michael J. Myers, was expelled after being convicted of bribery in 1980, per Maine News Center.

George Was Charged With a 23-Count Indictment

Before he was expelled, Santos was charged in a 23-count indictment by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. He was charged with “one count of conspiracy to commit offenses against the United States, two counts of wire fraud, two counts of making materially false statements to the Federal Election Commission (FEC), two counts of falsifying records submitted to obstruct the FEC, two counts of aggravated identity theft, and one count of access device fraud, in addition to the seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering, one count of theft of public funds, and two counts of making materially false statements to the United States House of Representatives,” according to a press release.

Santos pleaded not guilty to the charges.

George Was Accused of Several Lies

Shortly after Santos was elected, many of his past statements and claims were subject to scrutiny. His lies range from false claims about his background to alleged false statements made to campaign donors. Some of the past claims that have been proven false included his background about where he went to high school and college and past employment on Wall Street, per Intelligencer. Some of the other claims that have been believed to be false included those made about starting an animal charity, that his mother’s death was caused by the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and that his niece was kidnapped.

Some of the other alleged claims that came up in his House Ethics Committee report, include allegations that he spent campaign funds to make purchases at Hermes and on OnlyFans, plus personal travel and botox.

George Has Been Married to His Partner Since 2021

Santos has mostly avoided discussing his relationship status publicly. He’s openly gay, and he revealed that he’s married to a man named Matt, which he revealed in a post on X, following Senator Dianne Feinstein’s death in September 2023. After many followers pointed out that he hadn’t previously mentioned a husband, he claimed that they’d been married since November 2021 in an October post on X. “For those wondering and going nuts, this is Matt my husband since Nov 2021… I’m not sure where all the ‘hard launch’ comments came from,” he wrote.

While Santos campaigned on being openly gay, it was revealed that he was previously married to a woman from 2012 to 2019. It was revealed that he had divorced the woman in 2019, shortly before filing paperwork for his 2020 campaign, per The Daily Beast.

George Was Spoofed by Bowen Yang on ‘SNL’

Given all the controversy surrounding Santos, there was much to poke fun at, especially during Saturday Night Live. While many late-night hosts made fun of the ex-congressman’s claims and his legal woes, SNL star Bowen Yang has given his impression of Santos on quite a few occasions. He has portrayed the former representative on both “Weekend Update” and an “NFL on Fox” cold open.

George Clooney pulls from personal experience to play filmstar in ‘Jay Kelly’

LONDON, – Two-time Oscar winner George Clooney drew from his own life to play a Hollywood legend in his new movie “Jay Kelly.”

The comedy-drama stars Clooney as ageing global superstar Jay Kelly and combines humour with contemplation on the cost of celebrity and fame.

“There are elements certainly about the experience that I’ve had, but not so many regrets, which I think is ‘thank God’,” Clooney, 64, said while attending the movie’s London Film Festival premiere on Friday.

“It’s personal, but I’m not as unhappy as that guy. I have a family that I love and kids who I think still love me. They’re eight, there’s time to screw it up. And I have friends that I don’t pay.”

Directed by Noah Baumbach, who co-wrote the screenplay with actress Emily Mortimer, “Jay Kelly” sees the titular character reflect on his past and present as he travels to Europe with his large entourage.

As the group, including his publicist Liz, played by Laura Dern, and hair and makeup artist Candy , slowly disintegrates along the journey. Kelly’s loyal manager Ron, portrayed by Adam Sandler, stays by his side and takes stock of his own life.

“You see somebody who, when they make a movie, it takes a lot of time away from your family. I’ve always tried to bring family around as much as possible,” said Sandler. “And like anyone who works for a living, you’re away from some stuff you wish you weren’t missing. It’s dealing with that pain and finding out the best balance.”

Baumbach, whose previous films include “Marriage Story” and “White Noise” and who co-wrote the hit movie “Barbie” with his wife Greta Gerwig, said he set out to make a movie about an actor in crisis.

“I think it was a way to tell a story about all of us in some way,” said Baumbach. “An actor was a kind of stand-in for all of us who are trying to figure out the gap between how we present ourselves to the world and who we may actually be, and as we get older, also how we contend with that.”

“Jay Kelly”, which features a starry supporting cast including Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Louis Partridge, Isla Fisher, Jim Broadbent and Gerwig, receives a limited theatrical release in November and starts streaming on Netflix on December 5. Netflix Inc

One of the funniest things Kensington Palace tries to do is convince people that the Prince and Princess of Wales are secretly very intelligent and “credible experts” in multiple fields. It really is the palace’s communications office trying to sell William and Kate this way, because William and Kate have shown time and time again that they are not very smart. I’m not saying that they’re complete idiots, by the way. I think Kate is “smart” in a sly, conniving, manipulative way, and hey, she’s figured out a way to survive within that institution (which isn’t nothing). William isn’t even clever in a sly way though, let’s be honest. Every time William opens his mouth, courtiers wince. Well, here’s some PR fluff: William and Kate take their kids down to a local pub for the pub quiz nights.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are enjoying some trivial pursuits after setting up a family pub-quiz team. William, Kate and their two eldest children George, 12, and Charlotte, ten, regularly take part in a weekly quiz in a pub near one of the royal homes.

One rival said: “The quiz is actually very tricky but also a lot of fun. My lips are sealed on whether ‘Team Wales’ has ever won first prize.”

During his Apple TV+ interview with actor Eugene Levy last week, William admitted he struggles with history and said George is “way better”. But the Aston Villa fan impressed with his footie knowledge when he appeared on TNT Sports before last season’s Champions League clash with PSG.

William and Kate, both 43, have degrees from the University of St Andrews. Wills earned a 2:1 in Geography and Kate got a 2:1 in Modern Art.

Their children go to fee-paying Lambrook near Ascot, Berks, recognised as one of the UK’s top 100 prep schools. Kate and Wills were regular pub quizzers when they lived in North Wales following their 2011 wedding.

[From The Sun]

I know pubs also serve food and family members of all ages are welcome in pubs, but it’s fascinating to hear that William and Kate are basically taking their kids to a bar so they can play bar games. This is one of those “if poor people did it, it would be looked down upon” situations. But as I said, this is just some PR fluff, some we’re-so-normal blokery. The Sun was being shady with “a pub near one of the royal homes,” which makes me wonder if this is happening in Norfolk or Windsor? Anyway, the story reminds me so much of all of the weird and fake sightings of Kate in 2024. “We saw Kate in a chocolate shop, we saw Kate at her kids’ practice, we saw Kate at the farmer’s market!” Pics or it didn’t happen (and even then, the pics might be faked).
