Was that Colonel Sanders at the Blue Jays game?

by jummy84 October 26, 2025

No, your eyes weren’t deceiving you, Jays fans. That was Colonel Sanders behind the plate.

A man looking very much like founder of KFC, right down the white suit, hair, mustache and Van Dyke beard, was seen sitting behind home plate during Saturday night’s Game 2 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The colonel became a viral sensation during the game as fans took to social media, theorizing about who the mysterious man was.

“I can’t tell if last night was a fever dream or not, but apparently the biggest X factors in World Series Game 2 were Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Colonel Sanders and the Jonas Brothers,” posted @BlueJayHunter on X.

While some X users speculated it might have been a publicity move, others thought the colonel was a fake.

“Hey hey hey, Temu Colonel Sanders doesn’t count,” posted @2oldtorocknroll.

Still others blamed his appearance for the Jays loss, referencing the Curse of the Colonel, a Japanese urban legend that suggests the colonel’s ghost placed a curse on the Hanshin Tigers baseball team.

“Forget about the Jonas Brothers we all know it was the Colonel Sanders curse,” posted @GerryBrown20.

The Jonas Brothers performed a song after the fifth inning in another celebrity appearance during Saturday’s game that took some by surprise. The performance was announced the day before.

So who was the man in white behind the plate?

KFC confirmed he was indeed someone sent by the company to promote their newly renamed sandwich.

The fast-food chain is changing the name of its “fan-favourite” Zinger Sandwich to the Dinger Sandwich to support the Jays.

With the spotlight shining brightly on the Blue Jays, other companies were also trying to step in, with Wendy’s responding, cheekily saying “sorry colonel. You are bad luck.”

The Dodgers beat the Blue Jays 5-1 in Game 2 of the best-of-seven championship. The series now shifts to Los Angeles for Game 3 on Monday night at Dodger Stadium.

Shah Rukh Khan And Salman Khan’s Cameos In Alpha Could Change The Game For YRF Spy Universe! | Glamsham.com

Fans may soon witness a Shah Rukh Khan-Alia Bhatt reunion, as reports suggest that producer Aditya Chopra is keen on the superstar making a cameo in Alia’s upcoming spy thriller, Alpha. According to Bollywood Hungama, Chopra has already approached SRK, requesting three to four days of his schedule in November for the appearance. Given that Shah Rukh Khan plays Pathaan in YRF’s spy universe, a cameo in Alpha is plausible, though nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

A source revealed, “At the moment, Pathaan is the most talked-about character of the Spy Universe. Aditya Chopra has designed a special part for Shah Rukh Khan that potentially leads into Pathaan 2. SRK has asked for some time to consider the proposal, as his November schedule is largely blocked for King.” The source added that if a full cameo isn’t possible, SRK might appear in an end-credit sequence instead.

Interestingly, YRF is reportedly exploring a similar cameo for Salman Khan as Tiger, though the writing for that sequence is still in development. The makers want it to have the same impact as Salman’s Tiger in Pathaan.

Meanwhile, Alpha underwent revisions following the box-office failure of War 2. Senior journalist Subhash K Jha reported that concerns over director Shiv Rawail’s inexperience led Aditya Chopra to step in and reshape the film. Changes are reportedly being made to both the screenplay and execution to ensure it meets YRF’s standards and strengthens the Spy Universe brand.

Fans first glimpsed Alpha in the post-credit scene of War 2, where Bobby Deol made a surprise appearance. He stamps an agency logo on a young girl’s hand, explaining that “Alpha” symbolizes “The first, the fastest, the strongest.” This has sparked speculation that the girl may be a younger version of Alia Bhatt’s character. Bobby Deol is expected to play the main antagonist, possibly mentoring Alia’s character before becoming her nemesis, adding a thrilling mentor-turned-enemy angle to the story.

The final decision on SRK’s cameo is expected within the next week or so.

Met Gala 2025: Why Simone Biles Is “Motivating Factor” For Husband Jonathan Owens

Simone Biles’ husband Jonathan Owens was flipping over his win.

And his wife was by his side to celebrate. The Olympic gymnast shared a glimpse from her husband’s Sunday Night Football game, during which the Chicago Bears defeated the New Orleans Saints.  In a clip from her Oct. 20 Instagram carousel, Simone shared a video of her and Jonathan standing on the field inside of Soldier Stadium as he affectionately felt on her butt before adjusting her custom skirt, which boasted his number 36.

In the gymnast’s post which featured her posing with fellow WAGS and showing off her custom purse, Simone wrote, “trust me, I know ball.”

Simone—who married Jonathan in 2023—has not been shy when it comes to putting her support and love for her husband and his team on display. One day before the game, the 28-year-old posed in the suites while rocking custom pants, modeled after her husband’s jersey and complete with his autograph.

Bollywood’s biggest stars — Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan — recently made a splash at the prestigious Joy Forum 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The international entertainment convention brought together global icons from film, television, and digital media, creating a buzz across fan communities worldwide.

One of the most talked-about moments from the event came when Emmy-winning Squid Game star Lee Jung-jae shared a selfie with Shah Rukh Khan. Dressed in an all-black outfit, SRK looked effortlessly stylish, while Lee kept it cool in a casual hoodie. The South Korean actor captioned the photo, “Honoured to be with the legendary Mr. @iamsrk.” The post immediately went viral, with fans calling it “the crossover of the century.”

Fans from both India and South Korea flooded the comments. One user wrote, “SRK and Lee Jung-jae in one frame? My multiverse is complete!” Another added, “Imagine these two in an action thriller — global domination!”

The star-studded crossover didn’t stop there. Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan were also seen posing with Squid Game actor Lee Byung-hun, who posted a group photo with the caption, “Pleasure to be with all these talented people.” The images also featured American basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal, YouTube sensation MrBeast, and streamer IShowSpeed.

3 Loafer Trends That’ll Bring Your Fall Shoe Game Up to Speed

by jummy84 October 17, 2025
written by jummy84

Dubbed “soft loafers,” these styles have one thing in common: They’re all rendered in suede, fall’s absolute trendiest material. Where traditional leather requires a mandatory break-in period, suede doesn’t, meaning you can count on comfort right out of the box. Plus, they’ll effortlessly match your go-to suede bag or jacket. Win-win!

Thanks largely to The Row’s super-popular loafers, versions of which have been spotted on the likes of Zoë Kravitz and Kendall Jenner, pinched leather has become all the rage among the fashion crowd this season. The ruched toe boxes are another style that playfully subverts the classic loafer design, offering an unfussy ease that helps soften more masculine tailoring. And no matter your budget, there’s a pair in our edit made for you.

Jennifer Lawrence, the arbiter of quiet luxury, has spoken: Moccasin shoes are the next big thing. Sort of a cross between loafers and boat shoes, these flats have long been popular as slippers—but they’re getting a major revamp for fall and winter. Chunky loafers are out—this extra-slim style is a perfect example of the low-to-the-ground footwear that’s dominating the trend cycle this season. Styled with tube socks, a midi-skirt, and an autumn jacket, they’re chic and comfortable in equal measure. Reach for your pair when you need a style that’s more considered than sneakers, but just as easy to wear.

British Composers Unite to End Ghostwriting in Film, TV and Game Music

by jummy84 October 16, 2025
written by jummy84

A number of leading British composers have joined The Ivors Academy’s call to “End Ghostwriting” in a campaign to ensure media composers are credited and compensated fairly for their work.

Calling for an end to the practice of ghostwriting in music for film, TV and video games – the activity of contributing creatively to a soundtrack, without a writing credit being disclosed – the academy is encouraging composers to commit to changing industry practice by signing a pledge.

Related

Ghostwriters in these sectors often receive no screen or IMDb credit, and therefore are excluded from cue sheets, meaning they lose the royalties they are legally entitled to.

According to the academy, the three pillars of the End Ghostwriting pledge are: To be fully transparent with productions about who will compose the music; To ensure that all contributing composers are credited on cue sheets, on screen where possible, and on IMDb; To accurately submit work for awards consideration that fairly credits everyone involved in the composition.

The campaign has been backed by a series of renowned media composers and members of The Ivors Academy, including Sheridan Tongue (Silent Witness, Wonders of the Universe), David Arnold (Casino Royale, Sherlock), Aisling Brouwer (The Buccaneers, White Riot) and more.

Other names involved include Ben Foster (Happy Valley, Torchwood), Daisy Coole and Tom Nettleship (The Pay Day, The Wives), Jessica Jones (The Tinder Swindler, Our Universe), and Sofia degli Alessandri-Hultquist (Dickinson, Red, White and Royal Blue), along with Jenna Fentimen, head of agency at Manners Faber, among others.

Charlie Puth at the GRAMMY Hall of Fame Gala held at the Beverly Hilton on May 16, 2025 in Beverly Hills, California.

In a press release, Roberto Neri, CEO of The Ivors Academy, said: “We’re calling time on ghostwriting, where talented media composers can work on high-profile productions without ever being acknowledged. Thanks to our Media Council of composers, we’re bringing transparency, integrity and fairness back to the heart of audio-visual music. We must give composers credit where credit is due.”

David Arnold, fellow and board member of The Ivors Academy, added: “Our Industry is changing rapidly. Budgets and schedules are becoming more compressed and workloads are becoming more complicated to manage. So sometimes we need help. This campaign is here to ensure that help doesn’t go unrecognised and unrewarded. It’s only decent and it’s only fair.”

The Ivors Academy also runs the Ivor Novello Awards, which recognize excellence in songwriting and composing. The End Ghostwriting campaign will impact the 2026 edition of the event, as entrants will now also be asked to confirm that cue sheets list all composers who wrote a cue from scratch or made a significant new creative contribution. Entries that do not include all qualifying writers will be ineligible for consideration.

Elsewhere, earlier this month (Oct. 2), RAYE received an Ivors Academy Honour in recognition of her songwriting advocacy, led by a campaign that resulted in U.K. major labels committing to cover expenses for songwriters attending their studio sessions.

Upon accepting the award at an event in London, she said: “Being a songwriter is also one of the greatest privileges, and I think it’s something that should be about grafting and talent, not about how rich you are, or to be in a good situation financially to be a songwriter. It shouldn’t be about that.”

Battlefield 6 maps: Full list of maps in the game

by jummy84 October 14, 2025
written by jummy84

Here’s a full list of the maps in Battlefield 6, as well as all the DLC ones being added throughout the game’s first season of post-launch content.

How many maps are in Battlefield 6?

At launch, there are nine maps in Battlefield 6, but that doesn’t tell the whole story.

Depending on your chosen mode, you might fight in a smaller section of one map, or across the entire thing, and the maps themselves will change throughout a battle.

Of course, more maps will follow in future (more on that in a moment). For now, though, read on for the full list!

All Battlefield 6 maps so far

Here’s the full list, including the global location of each.

Empire State

Set in New York, the tight streets of Brooklyn make this map infantry-only but with plenty of verticality across rooftops and buildings.

Manhattan Bridge

Another map in New York, this one allows vehicles like tanks, and even helicopters for air support.

New Sobek City

The first of two maps in Egypt, this one on the outskirts of Cairo packs everything you could want from a Battlefield map, with sniper spots, helicopters, tanks, and plenty of opportunities for heroism.

Siege of Cairo

With more densely packed city streets and a focus on infantry and tanks, Siege of Cairo is an early favourite for players looking to exercise the tactical part of their brains.

Iberian Offensive

The first of two maps in Gibraltar, which plays a big part in the campaign, Iberian Offensive sees infantry and tanks take centre stage.

Saints Quarter

Infantry-only and full of sniper spots and tight city streets, Saints Quarter is also set in Gibraltar and is ideal for racking up close-quarters kills.

Liberation Peak

This mountainous map has more open sight lines, but with plenty of hiding spots for cunning ambushes.

Mirak Valley

Set in Tajikistan, Mirak Valley is the largest map in the game so far and gives you access to fighter jets, helicopters, tanks, and more.

Operation Firestorm

This classic from Battlefield 3 has never looked better, and lets you use every vehicle type in the game to capture key points of the refinery.

All confirmed Battlefield 6 DLC maps to come

Battlefield 6. EA

Battlefield 6’s first season of post-launch content is split into three chunks, with the first arriving a matter of weeks after launch.

Dubbed Rogue Ops, it’ll introduce the Blackwell Fields map set in the California badlands.

California Resistance, the second update, will introduce Eastwood, a suburban map with a huge golf course.

Winter Offensive, which arrives in December, won’t add a new map but will bring an icy revamp to Empire State.

UK Rapper Giggs Performs at Halftime for NFL Game in London

by jummy84 October 13, 2025
written by jummy84

The NFL has been spicing up its international games with halftime performers, a bit like mini-Super Bowls.

British rapper Giggs performed Sunday (Oct. 12) at halftime of the game between the New York Jets and Denver Broncos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Broncos won 13-11.

“It’s a huge moment to be a part of the London Games,” Giggs said. “I’ve been on a journey with my music, and to get to share that with my city and the NFL fans is something I’m really proud of.”

See latest videos, charts and news

The south London native’s 2007 single “Talkin’ da Hardest” remains a popular anthem among his fans. Cleveland Browns players unfamiliar with the song liked what they heard when it was played last week.

Giggs has done collaborations with artists including Drake, 21 Savage, Ed Sheeran and Dave.

Last week, British singer Raye performed a halftime show at Tottenham with a nearly seven-minute set that included her hit “Where is My Husband!” The Minnesota Vikings beat Cleveland 21-17 in the game.

British singer-songwriter Myles Smith was chosen to headline the halftime show at the first-ever regular-season NFL game in Ireland. At Croke Park, the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Vikings 24-21 two weeks ago.

Last month, Grammy award-winning Karol G performed in São Paulo, Brazil, when the Los Angeles Chargers beat the Kansas City Chiefs 27-21 at Corinthians Arena.

Bad Bunny will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show at Levi’s Stadium on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, California.

The NFL has been on an aggressive international growth pattern, so expect more to come.

“Bringing the best in sports and entertainment is what the international games are all about,” said Tim Tubito, senior director of global game presentation and entertainment at the NFL.

Battlefield 6 error message: What does 'Global game quota exceeded' mean?

Battlefield 6 error message: What does ‘Global game quota exceeded’ mean?

by jummy84 October 13, 2025
written by jummy84

This creation suite is packed with the tools players need to build wild new multiplayer shooter experiences, as well as forays into new genres.

And yet, the ‘global game quota exceeded’ error has returned to spoil our fun. Here’s what it means, and what you can do if you’re hit by it.

What does ‘Global game quota exceeded’ mean in Battlefield 6?

As it did in Battlefield 2042, this error message is all about server capacity for building in the Portal.

Essentially, EA has a number of servers for running the online portions of Battlefield 6, and some are squarely focused on the Portal.

But, if too many players are building, there are no servers available and you get the dreaded ‘Global game quota exceeded’ message.

Can you fix ‘Global game quota exceeded’ in Battlefield 6?

There’s good news and bad news, and we’ll start with the latter – there really is no way to ‘fix’ the error. You’ll simply need to try again at another time, at least until EA works to amp up its server count (which may or may not happen).

You can keep an eye on the game’s Battlefield Comms account on X (formerly Twitter) for more information.

So, what’s the good news? The positive way of looking at this is that you can spend your time blitzing through the fairly short campaign or jumping into more standard multiplayer modes.

Since those don’t seem to have the same server capacity issues, you can be reviving, sniping, and generally having fun in the downtime where Portal is giving you the game quota error message.

RadioTimes.com awarded the game 4 out of 5 stars, saying: “My greatest issue with my time reviewing Battlefield 6 has been that, after having so much fun with friends during the beta, I have had to enjoy the last few weeks without them – you can’t get much higher praise for an online multiplayer title.”

“I’m not sure that Battlefield 6 lives up to the lofty heights of BF3 and 4, but whether that is nostalgia talking, who knows?”

“What I do know is that Battlefield 6 is certainly an excellent entry in the series, righting the wrongs of 2042 and setting the series back on the right path.”

“Maybe one day we’ll get our Levolution back, but for now, I think fans of the series should look forward to this one very much.”
