The Devil Wears Prada 2 teaser: Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway reunite after 20 years; fans ‘can’t wait for Miranda, Andy’
The makers of The Devil Wears Prada 2 have finally unveiled the teaser of the upcoming film. Taking to its YouTube channel, 20th Century Studios shared the less than one-minute teaser.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 teaser
The video began with Meryl Streep’s character, Miranda Priestly, walking to her office lift as people were busy working. As the lift was about to close, Anne Hathaway’s character, Andrea ‘Andy’ Sachs, entered it smiling and saying, “Miranda.” Very unlike her character, Miranda moved sideways briefly to make room for Andy. She then replied, “Took you long enough.” The video ended with Andy smiling and wearing her sunglasses as the lift closed.
Fans can’t wait to watch Meryl, Anne after two decades
Anne also took to her Instagram page and shared the teaser. She wrote, “It’s everyone’s birthday. #43 #DWP2.” The teaser was unveiled on her 43rd birthday. Reacting to the teaser, a fan said, “So gorgeous! I am looking forward to watching this. It will be a great success!” “Oh my God! I’m so excited for the next year. Can’t wait to see Miranda and Andy together again,” read a comment.
“The fact that Miranda actually moves to the side to give Andy more room is some major character development,” a person wrote. A social media user said, “Now THIS is how you make a teaser trailer. The heels, the music, Miranda, and finally Andy. Chef’s kiss.” “Meryl really is a shapeshifter! To see her in Only murders in the Building, then back in this role! What a class actor!” said another fan.

Devil In Disguise: John Wayne Gacy: A Chilling, Victim-Centered Take On One Of America’s Darkest Crimes | Glamsham.com
Based on official press notes from Universal Studio Group and NBC News Studios, Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy offers a powerful and deeply human reimagining of one of the most disturbing true crime stories in American history .
Set to premiere on October 16, 2025, this limited 8-part crime drama takes audiences into the mind of the notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy, who murdered at least 33 young men between 1972 and 1978. But unlike typical serial killer dramatizations, this version shifts the focus away from glorifying the killer and toward the victims, their families, and the investigators who lived through the aftermath .
Created, directed, and written by Patrick Macmanus (Dr. Death, The Girl from Plainville), the series features Michael Chernus as Gacy, with Gabriel Luna, James Badge Dale, Michael Angarano, Chris Sullivan, and Marin Ireland rounding out the cast. Chernus’s portrayal was chosen for his unnerving ability to capture Gacy’s ordinary charm, a quality that once allowed him to hide in plain sight .
The production leans on extensive factual research provided by NBC News Studios, which produced the acclaimed 2021 docuseries of the same name.
Filmed in Toronto, the creative team worked meticulously to recreate 1970s Illinois, including Gacy’s suburban Chicago home, rebuilt from archival photographs and blueprints to haunting accuracy. The crew’s attention to period details, from wardrobe to set design, gives the show an unsettling realism .
Beyond the crimes themselves, the show explores the systemic failures and societal prejudices that allowed Gacy to go undetected for years. It exposes how police in the 1970s dismissed missing person reports, especially when victims were runaways or part of marginalized communities. The inclusion of GLAAD as a consulting partner ensures sensitive and accurate depictions of queerness, masculinity, and youth vulnerability in that era .
The press notes reveal a clear mission: to remember the victims as real people, not statistics or case numbers, and to highlight how their families, law enforcement, and communities carried the trauma for decades. Macmanus hopes the show “redirects the narrative so it’s no longer about Gacy the clown” but about the young men whose lives were stolen .
As the release approaches, Devil in Disguise stands out as a true crime story with empathy at its core, blending strong performances, historical accuracy, and social awareness. It’s not a show about a killer’s power, it’s about the people who refused to let him erase their loved ones.

Lady Gaga has reportedly joined the cast of The Devil Wears Prada 2, joining Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt for the sequel.
The original film, based on the 2003 novel by Lauren Weisberger, starred Hathaway as a journalism graduate who lands a job at a prestigious fashion magazine, assisting its foreboding editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (Streep). The 2006 comedy was a critical and box office hit, with a follow-up announced last year.
Now, Deadline reports that the ‘Mayhem’ singer will be joining the cast in an as-yet-undisclosed role, following pictures of her on set recently emerging online. The film is scheduled for release on May 1, 2026, almost 20 years since the previous movie hit cinemas, and will focus on Priestly navigating the changing climate of print journalism.
Gaga has balanced her music career with a string of high-profile acting roles in recent years. Having played significant roles on the small screen in American Horror Story: Hotel and the most recent season of Wednesday, her biggest successes have come in film.

In 2018, she played the lead in A Star Is Born, a remake of the 1937 romantic drama co-starring Bradley Cooper as a troubled industry legend who mentors and falls in love with a talented newcomer (Gaga). The ‘Poker Face’ artist won an Oscar for Best Original Song for ‘Shallow’, and was nominated for Best Actress. She would also win a BAFTA and Golden Globe for the film’s music.
Last year, she played Harleen “Lee” Quinzel, a version of the character Harley Quinn, in Joker: Folie à Deux. While her performance was praised by critics, the film was a box office failure. Responding to the poor reception, Gaga told Elle: “I think to be an artist, you have to be willing for people to sometimes not like it. And you keep going even if something didn’t connect in the way that you intended.”
The announcement caps a busy year for the artist, who released her sixth solo studio album ‘Mayhem’ on March 7. She hosted SNL the same month to promote the release, and performed a headline set at Coachella the following month.
In July, she embarked on the ‘The Mayhem Ball’ world tour, which included a London residency at The O2. NME’s five-star review described it as “flawless camp theatre from a true pop icon”, writing: “Never one to hold back, the theatrical pop auteur is in world-building mode, creating a fantastical, camp horror universe within the arena that sees her do battle with another version of herself, at times flanked by skeletons, witches and plague doctors.”
Last month, unseen footage emerged of Lady Gaga planning cancelled 2009 ‘Fame Kills’ tour with Kanye West.
Miranda Priestly is a few months from gagging the girls in her sequel! The fictional character, played by Meryl Streep, will be on the big screen in the spring of 2026 when ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ premieres. The release is a few months away, but Streep has still been on sets, pushing out scenes.

Meryl Streep Photographed As Miranda Priestly At D&G Runway Show
The devil wore Dolce & Gabbana on Saturday (September 27). Meryl Streep had a front-row seat at the designing duo’s Milan theater. While there, she was in character as Miranda Priestly for ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ sequel.

The actress wore her character’s customary sunglasses and a Dolce & Gabbana vinyl trenchcoat as she entered the theater escorted by security. Stanley Tucci, who plays Miranda’s art director in the film, trailed behind her. Throughout the runway show, Meryl Streep’s character consulted with Tucci. They cast their eyes up and down the runway as models passed. Meanwhile, music by Italian singer Patty Pravo played in the background.
The location will remind movie fans of a scene from the original film where Anne Hathaway’s character, after answering the phone, asks: “Can you please spell ‘Gabbana?’”

Will We See The Scene In ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’?
‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ has been shooting in Milan. And according to the Associated Press, the Dolce & Gabbana press office confirmed that the runway scene seen in the photos will be included in the sequel.
Fans of the fashion film will feature pieces from the Dolce & Gabbana Spring-Summer 2026 collection, including nightwear. From cozy men’s pajamas with rhinestone or embroidered details to black sheer and lace lingerie. The looks were layered with leather, brocade, and animal-print jackets. Footwear ranged from sexy stilettos to fuzzy slippers. The bag of choice was soft and furry, perfect for cuddling up after a night out.

The designers posed just a beat or two longer during their customary bow. Afterward, Meryl Streep and Tucci were whisked to the backstage area. Then, the real-life fashion crowd jumped on the empty runway to snap photos of the moment in fashion history.
There was another life-imitating-art-imitating-life meta moment at the D&G show. Anna Wintour, who inspired the 2006 film, sat across the runway from Meryl Streep in her role as Vogue’s global editorial director.
Streep Spotted In Costume Earlier This Year, Too
Streep has been filming for at least the last few months, as photos taken earlier this year show her on set as Miranda Priestly on July 23, 2025 in New York City.

Anne Hathaway shares old fall video after taking a tumble on The Devil Wears Prada 2 set: ‘Still falling for you’ | Hollywood
Actor Anne Hathaway, who recently slipped and fell while shooting for The Devil Wears Prada sequel in New York City, shared an old video of herself falling down. Taking to Instagram recently, Anne shared an edited video, made by a fan, from her recent fall and a scene from The Princess Diaries.
Anne Hathaway shares old clip of her falling down on The Princess Diaries set
The video began with Anne’s character, Mia Thermopolis, in The Princess Diaries, slipping and falling on the school bleachers. The move was unscripted but perfectly fitting for the film. The words in the clip read, “How it started.”
The video next showed her slipping and falling on the stairs in the midst of the shoot. The actor, however, bounced back, holding a bagel in her hand. “How’s it going. Witnessing the queen herself take a tumble like a champ,” the text read. Sharing the video, Anne captioned her post: “Twenty years later, still falling for you…”
In the video, Anne, dressed in a knee-length skirt, a top, strappy heels and shades, walked down the stairs when she fell down. The actor landed on her bottom, with one leg behind her, as her hair fell over her face. She got back up on her feet quickly, laughed and said, “I’m fine.”
In 2020, during an interview in The Happy Days of Garry Marshall, Anne had said that her fall on the bleachers in The Princess Diaries scene was totally unplanned. “I turned really fast, slipped on a puddle, and just I mean fell. I mean, just absolutely fell, and burst out laughing and kept going with the scene. Never thought about it again. All of a sudden, like six months later, it’s in the trailer … He kept it because it was a charming moment,” she said.

Actually, Anne Hathaway Had Two Princess Diaries Moments During That Devil Wears Prada Tumble
Yes, yes, Anne Hathaway had a very Princess Diaries moment while filming The Devil Wears Prada 2.
By now you’ve likely seen photos and video of Hathaway’s heel snapping off, leading the 42-year-old actor to fall down a stoop in New York City on August 27. Luckily, she was quick to pop back up with a smile on her face, which meant fans were safe to share references to another famous tumble she took while filming The Princess Diaries in the year 2000.
Even Hathaway herself got nostalgic, sharing an edit of both falls on Instagram with the caption, “Twenty years later, still falling for you… 💕”
Anne Hathaway is seen on the set of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” on August 27, 2025.
Jose Perez/Bauer-GriffinBut not enough people are mentioning that Andy Sachs’ latest look was already a sartorial reference to The Princess Diaries. Aside from the studded—and apparently unstable—heels, Hathaway was dressed in a knee-length Fendi skirt with fluid pleating and gold hardware, which she paired with a sheer plaid top over a black bra. Of course, she finished off the look with Andy’s trusted Coach messenger bag.
You know who else wore knee-length pleated skirts and plaid?

Intentional or not, I will never look at Anne Hathaway in this combo without thinking of Mia Thermopolis, so there was absolutely no need for her to recreate the moment so viscerally! Although, now that I think about it, the skirt’s length and layers made it the best possible choice for a trip, as there was little risk of flashing the paparazzi…
Obviously, I’m kidding. I highly doubt Hathaway purposefully broke her heel—just like she didn’t intentionally fall on those bleachers during that painfully funny moment in The Princess Diaries. Just like this time, Hathaway remembers slipping, laughing, and keeping things moving after slipping on a puddle during the scene with Heather Matarazzo.
“Never thought about it again and all of a sudden, like six months later, it’s in the trailer,” she recalled while honoring late director Gary Marshall back in 2021. “He kept it! He kept it because it was a charming moment.”
Only time will tell if The Devil Wears Prada 2 director David Frankel will make the same call but either way, I want that skirt.
