‘Shrinking’ Season 3 Release Date & First-Look Photos Revealed

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Shrinking Season 3 will premiere Wednesady, January 28, with its one-hour first episode on Apple TV, the streamer revealed today.

The following episodes will premiere weekly on Wednesdays through April 8, 2026. The third season of the beloved comedy series will contain 11 episodes and watch stars Jason Segel, Harrison Ford, Christa Miller. Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley return to reprise their respective roles.

In addition to the ensemble cast, returning guest stars include Goldstein — who made his debut in Season 2 as Louis Winston, Damon Wayans Jr., Wendie Malick and Cobie Smulders, along with new additions Jeff Daniels and Michael J. Fox. Deadline broke the news of Daniels’ casting as Jimmy’s father as well as the news of Fox’s casting, which connects to Ford’s character Paul Rhoades’ Parkinson’s disease.

Created by Goldstein, Segel and Bill Lawrence, Shrinking centers on the life of Jimmy Liard (played by Segel), a grieving therapist who decides to give his clients his honest opinion instead of listening to their feelings and remaining removed from their lives. This strategy, which gets coined “Jimmying” in Season 2, makes significant changes in the lives of his patients, especially that of Sean (Tennie) and Heidi Gardner’s Grace.

After the first season established the extent of Jimmy’s grief as well as the connections he has between coworkers, his daughter Alice (Maxwell), his best friend Brian (Urie) and more, Season 2 focused on forgiveness. Goldstein’s Louis entered the picture as the drunk driver who caused Jimmy’s wife’s death in a car accident, but many other characters had their own forgiveness arcs too. Creator Bill Lawrence told Deadline in a Season 2 post-mortem interview that “moving forward” is the theme for Season 3.

Shrinking is produced for Apple TV by Warner Bros. Television, where Lawrence and Goldstein are under overall deals and Lawrence’s Doozer Productions. Lawrence, Segel, Goldstein, Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Randall Winston, Rachna Fruchbom, Brian Gallivan, Ashley Nicole Black and Bill Posley executive produce.

Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce’s 1587 Prime Date After Chiefs Win

Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce’s 1587 Prime Date After Chiefs Win

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Family is everything to Taylor and Travis, so the VIPs automatically include their respective parents and brothers. Presumable best man Jason Kelce also shares at least two flower girl-age daughters, Wyatt and Elliotte, with wife Kylie Kelce—though depending on when the big day is, little sister Bennett could grow into the role as well. (Alas, baby Finnley will probably have to sleep this one out.)

We’ll see which of Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs teammates make the cut, but he was a groomsman at QB Patrick Mahomes‘ 2022 wedding to Brittany Mahomes, so at the very least one boy from the football team should be there. He also has a loyal coterie of pals he’s been cultivating since his Cleveland Heights days, so that golf-and-beer-centric bachelor party is gonna be lit.

As for the bride, childhood bestie Abigail Anderson has remained a mainstay in Taylor’s life. And, while her famed squad has evolved over the years, Selena Gomez is still in the inner sourdough-gifting circle, as are Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, despite rumors they’ve fallen out amid the actress’ legal battle.

Not to mention, speaking of potential flower girls, Taylor is godmother to Blake and Ryan’s daughters.

Is Choti Diwali on October 19 or 20 this year? Know correct date of Narak Chaturdashi 2025 amid the confusion

Diwali 2025 date: Diwali (also known as Deepavali) typically falls between mid-October and mid-November, depending on the lunar calendar. Diwali is a significant festival in the Hindu calendar, celebrated with great fervour in India and other parts of the world. Also read | Diwali 2025 calendar: When is Diwali? Check dates for Dhanteras, Choti Diwali, Bhai Dooj and all 5 days of Deepawali

While Diwali is a grand celebration with lighting diyas (earthen lamps), fireworks, decorations, gift-giving, and family gatherings, Choti Diwali is relatively less elaborate. (Made using Gemini AI)

Narak Chaturdashi, also known as Choti Diwali, is a Hindu festival celebrated on the 14th day of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Kartik. It’s observed a day before Diwali and is associated with Lord Krishna’s victory over the demon king Narakasura, symbolising the triumph of good over evil.

When is Choti Diwali 2025 and what are the timings?

This year, as per Drikpanchang.com, Narak Chaturdashi, or Choti Diwali, will be celebrated on October 20, Monday, and the tithi (auspicious timing) for the Chaturdashi is up to 03:44 pm, followed by Amavasya (Krishna Amavasya).

The Chaturdashi tithi begins at 1:51 pm on October 19, and since the worship is done at night, some people are also observing Choti Diwali on October 19 instead of October 20. Also read | Diwali 2025 city-wise timings: When will Delhi, Mumbai, Gurugram, Bengaluru and other cities celebrate Diwali

How is Choti Diwali different from Diwali?

Narak Chaturdashi or Choti Diwali marks the beginning of the main Diwali festivities, emphasising the importance of spiritual growth and self-reflection. While Diwali is a grand celebration with lighting diyas (earthen lamps), fireworks, decorations, gift-giving, and family gatherings, Choti Diwali is relatively less elaborate.

Unlike Diwali, which is associated with the Goddess Lakshmi, Choti Diwali is associated with Lord Krishna or Lord Shiva. Both festivals involve worshiping deities, offering prayers, and performing rituals. People often clean and decorate their homes, exchange gifts and sweets, and spend time with family and friends. Traditional sweets and snacks are an integral part of both celebrations.

UFO Documentary Gets Release Date, Trailer

by jummy84 October 16, 2025
written by jummy84

“The Age of Disclosure,” Dan Farah‘s buzzy documentary that aims to establish that we’re not alone in the universe, is finally making its way to the masses.

The film will have an Oscar-qualifying run in select theaters in New York and Los Angeles beginning on Nov. 21 along with a concurrent release on Amazon Prime Video. Additionally, a new trailer for the film was released on Thursday.

Per the official description, “The Age of Disclosure” documents “an 80-year global cover-up of non-human intelligent life and a secret war among major nations to reverse-engineer advanced technology of non-human origin. Featuring testimony from 34 members of the U.S. Government, military and intelligence communities, the film exposes the profound stakes for the future of humanity.”

One of the key voices in the film is Jay Stratton, former Defense Intelligence Agency official and director of the government’s UAP Task Force. As seen in the trailer, he says, “I have seen, with my own eyes, non-human craft and non-human beings.”

Farah, a debut feature director, spent three years making “The Age of Disclosure” in secrecy, seeking out sources with direct knowledge of the government’s work around UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena, the more formal term for UFOs). Among the interviewees are high-ranking politicians from both the Democratic and Republican parties, such as secretary of state Marco Rubio and senator Kirsten Gillibrand, as the congressional hearings about UAPs and the proposed UAP Disclosure Act have seen major bipartisan support.

“The Age of Disclosure” has had significant word-of-mouth momentum behind it all year even without a public distribution plan; the initial trailer quickly reached more than 20 million views across YouTube and social media when it was dropped in January leading up to the film’s premiere at SXSW in March.

Farah directed and produced “The Age of Disclosure” via his Farah Films banner. Relentless Releasing serves as distributor.

Hope Street season 5 has finally been given a confirmed released date on BBC One, and it’s sooner than fans might have expected.

The beloved Northern Irish police and crime drama will return to BBC One on Friday 31st October 2025 – what date could be more fitting for such a suspense-filled show than Halloween?

If you just can’t wait, then in an added treat for fans, the opening episodes will be available on BBC iPlayer even earlier – with season 5 currently scheduled to begin on iPlayer on Monday 27th October, with the full season available from 31st October.

Season 5 will also mark a milestone for the TV series as it will see the show’s 50th episode.

Hope Street follows the local police department in the fictional Northern Ireland seaside town of Port Devine where they tackle everything from petty thefts to organised crime, all whilst maintaining relationships with the tight knit local community.

Since its debut in 2021, the show has built up a large fanbase who have fallen in love with the show’s characters and its warm, easy-watching vibe.

The new season will see some new faces join the cast’s ranks. Cuffe is joined by Belfast-born Jenn Murray who has appeared in Hollywood blockbusters Maleficent, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Her character, Dr Sasha Cookson, moves to Port Devine to take over her late father’s medical practice where she finds a spark with the new constable.

But for loyal fans who might be growing concerned, not to worry – core cast members Kerri Quinn, Tara Lynne O’Neill, Aaron McCusker and Niamh McGrady are all confirmed to be returning for season 5.

Marcus Onilude (Luke Jackson), Finnian Garbutt (Ryan Power), Katie Shortt (Brandi McClure), Eleanor Methven (Lois Dunlop), Paddy Jenkins (Seamie McCarthy), RhéAna Kamalu (Chloe Jackson) and Jonny Grogan (Ross Dunlop) are also all back for more. Phew!

The Movie’ Lands Streaming Date, Apple’s Last Big Theatrical Push

by jummy84 October 13, 2025
written by jummy84

It wasn’t long ago that Apple looked like it would be making a big push into theatrical releases, believing what has been true for most other distributors: a theatrical release and its subsequent marketing push helps a movie’s cachet once it (eventually) lands on streaming later. It worked with other studios — mixing up the partner on each — on the release of films like “Killers of the Flower Moon” (Paramount), “Napoleon” (Sony), and “Argylle” (Universal). And with “F1: The Movie” in partnership with yet another distributor in Warner Bros., it found its biggest hit to date — and quietly one of its biggest successes of the year at the box office — grossing $629 million worldwide.

Dave Kalema

Apple rewarded that success with a run in theaters that has lasted 14+ weeks, even as the film has already been available for premium rental since August. Few filmmakers get that sort of runway, but for Joseph Kosinski, who certainly did for “Top Gun: Maverick,” they were willing to give him the privilege, and his movie made the most of it.

Now Apple has finally announced a release date for the movie on streaming on what is now just Apple TV (not Apple TV+), hitting the service globally on December 12. It’ll be nearly six months since the film opened on June 27; a theatrical window like that is virtually unheard of.

But that’s no guarantee the same will happen to an Apple movie again. Despite its success, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the “F1” theatrical experiment is over.

Within a matter of months of each other, both Apple and Amazon were reported to be dipping their toes into theatrical releases. After some success with “Air” and a few others, Amazon MGM is now all in, targeting as many as 14 theatrical releases a year and offering them beefy theatrical windows before they land on streaming. The studio is still doing some direct-to-streaming movies, but it has made clear its priorities.

Apple, on the other hand, before “F1” had a string of costly misses and has since been rolling back that approach. The losses for movies like “Argylle” and “Fly Me to the Moon” were well-documented, and the straw that broke the camel’s back was its approach with the George Clooney-Brad Pitt thriller “Wolfs.” That movie was going to have a robust theatrical release up until Apple yanked the rug out at the last minute and said it would drop on streaming after little more than a week. The studio tried to placate the filmmakers by saying it had already greenlit a sequel to “Wolfs,” but director Jon Watts openly said that after the theatrical fiasco, he “no longer trusted” Apple as a creative partner.

Since then, some of its higher-profile films have all been quietly and modestly released in theaters before landing on streaming, if they got a theatrical release at all, a stark contrast to what was agreed upon and stuck to with “F1.” Spike Lee’s “Highest 2 Lowest” spent a couple weeks in theaters, grossing just a reported $1.5 million, before hitting the streaming service. Paul Greengrass’ “The Lost Bus” did the same, opening in just a few select theaters and did not report box office totals.

Apple is not under the same pressure as its peers to produce for the box office and hope that streaming can pick up the slack. Back in March, a report suggested that Apple TV loses $1 billion a year on streaming and has in the vicinity of 45 million subscribers. It’s fine operating it as a loss-leader and using it as a means to continue selling iPhones.

The company also has never been bound to one approach, and it stands to reason that, if another project on the scale of “F1” with a director like Kosinski attached was on the table, it could pursue a similarly lengthy theatrical release strategy. Some of its upcoming movies sound like they could have that pedigree. There’s the Skydance-produced “Mayday” starring Ryan Reynolds, the Mattel movie “Matchbox” starring John Cena, and the Ben Stiller and Jake Johnson pickleball comedy “The Dink.” Have we mentioned movie theaters need more comedies like that last one?
