“There’s a fine line between love and hate. A very fine line.” Dark Star Pictures has unveiled the official US trailer for the French crime comedy film called Plastic Guns, which originally premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival last year in the Directors’ Fortnight sidebar there. It’s finally getting released in the US this year, after already opening in French cinemas more than a year ago. Inspired by two controversial cases in French criminal history, this searing tragi-comedy exposes the abuses the police can commit in their pursuit of notorious criminals. A Frenchman traveling in Denmark is arrested, accused of being a multiple murderer on the run named Paul Bernardin. Although he maintains his innocence, two rookie detectives are convinced that he’s guilty. Meanwhile, in Argentina, another Frenchman celebrates his wedding; he is the same age and has a very mysterious past. The film stars Delphine Baril, Charlotte Laemmel, Laurent Stocker, Gaëtan Peau, and Anthony Paliotti. One review states: “Plastic Guns is one of those movies that require complicity, giving into delirium and not asking for too much coherence, plausibility, or depth.” Ha… If you’re a fan of oddball, peculiar, off-beat French comedies – this is a good one to seek out and enjoy.

Here’s the official US trailer (+ poster) for Jean-Christophe Meurisse’s film Plastic Guns, from YouTube:

Michel Uzès (Gaëtan Peau), a man in his forties, is arrested during his trip to Denmark. He is suspected by the police to be Paul Bernardin, a wanted murderer accused of killing his wife and three children a few years ago. While Uzès maintains that he is innocent, two amateur detectives – Léa and Christine, set out to conduct their own investigation. They know the whole affair inside out and feel certain that he is the wanted murderer. Meanwhile, in Argentina, a Frenchman in his forties with a mysterious past celebrates his wedding with his pretty, young fiancée… Plastic Guns, originally known as Les Pistolets en Plastique in French, is directed by French genre filmmaker Jean-Christophe Meurisse, director of the films One of Us, Apnée, and Bloody Oranges previously. The screenplay is written by Jean-Christophe Meurisse, collab with Amélie Philippe. Produced by Marine Bergere, Antoine Blesson, Romain Daubeach, Nicolas Descalles. This initially premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival in the Directors’ Fortnight last year. Dark Star Pics will debut Meurisse’s Plastic Guns in select US theaters + on VOD this fall. Combining psychological depth with edge-of-your-seat tension, The Last Frontier is shaping up to be one of the year’s most intense new releases. Here’s everything to know about the series, including its release date, cast, plot, and how to watch.

What Is The Last Frontier About?

The Last Frontier begins with a shocking prison transport plane crash in the remote Alaskan wilderness, unleashing dozens of dangerous inmates into the frozen terrain. In the aftermath, a veteran U.S. Marshal and a small, isolated community are forced to confront the escalating chaos. But as tensions rise, the Marshal starts to suspect the crash was no accident and that a far more sinister conspiracy is unfolding beneath the surface.

Former New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was arrested by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) after he was stabbed during a previous incident. As details emerge about the case, Fox Sports viewers are wondering who stabbed the sportscaster and why.

“We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support,” Fox Sports said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family‘s privacy during this time.”

Below, Hollywood Life has the latest updates on the case involving Sanchez, his arrest, stabbing and hospitalization.

What Happened to Mark Sanchez?

Fox Sports’ Charissa Thompson confirmed that Sanchez’s arrest stemmed from an incident in Indianapolis, Indiana, on October 3, 2025.

“Friday night in Indianapolis, one of our team members, Mark Sanchez, was involved in an incident that we’re still trying to wrap our heads around,” Thompson said. “At this time, our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, his family, and all of those involved.”

The exact details surrounding Sanchez’s crime are still unclear, but based on his potential misdemeanor charges, he was accused of illegally entering a motor vehicle while publicly intoxicated.

Who Stabbed Mark Sanchez?

The identity of the individual who allegedly stabbed Sanchez is still unknown at the time of publication. Additionally, there are no other individuals being sought by police, per ESPN.

Why Was Mark Sanchez Arrested After Being Stabbed?

According to the IMPD, Sanchez was arrested on October 4, 2025, and is facing three misdemeanor charges in relation to an incident, in which he was stabbed and hospitalized. Police indicated that he was arrested at the hospital on suspicion of battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication, according to ESPN.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will make the final charging decision, the IMPD added.

Is Mark Sanchez in Prison?

Not yet, but Sanchez will presumably be taken to a detention center after his hospitalization ends. According to ESPN, he is currently in the hospital.

At the time of publication, Sanchez has not publicly spoken out about his arrest.

Arshad Warsi And Jitendra Kumar Unite In A Gripping Crime Thriller – Bhagwat Chapter 1: Raakshas Trailer Out | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 October 3, 2025
written by jummy84

The gripping trailer of Arshad Warsi and Jitendra Kumar’s Bhagwat Chapter 1: Raakshas has been released officially, giving audiences a gritty view of a crime, mystery, and moral conflict-filled world. The crime-thriller is directed by Akshay Shere and also stars Ayesha Kaduskar in a major role, and will have its premiere on ZEE5 on October 17.

The trailer kicks off with Arshad Warsi’s character, Vishwas Bhagwat, a tough and troubled cop who is suspended after violently injuring a suspect during an interrogation. Soon after, he is transferred to the remote town of Robertsganj in Uttar Pradesh, where he’s assigned to a disturbing case involving the disappearance of several young girls.

Jitendra Kumar is a seemingly mild-mannered science teacher whose behavior soon arouses suspicion. In a spine-chilling sequence, he is observed luring a little girl under shady circumstances. Vishwas, believing him to be guilty, arrests and beats him up at the police station. But the story takes a dramatic turn as Jitendra’s character strikes back — but not with fists, with brains — defending himself in court with fierce resolve.

The trailer promises a tense courtroom drama steeped in dark undertones and layered moral questions. With haunting visuals and a haunting score, Bhagwat Chapter 1: Raakshas promises to launch into a high-stakes war of perception and truth, law and justice.

Supported by Jio Studios in association with Baweja Studios and Dog ‘n’ Bone Pictures, the movie is set to deliver a dramatic interpretation of institutional failure, societal phobia, and unseen monsters in open sight.

With powerhouse artists like Warsi and Kumar set to go head-to-head, Bhagwat Chapter 1: Raakshas is becoming a riveting and thought-provoking experience this October.

Benson Learns Stabler’s in the Hospital — From ‘Organized Crime’ Season 5?

by jummy84 October 3, 2025
written by jummy84

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Law & Order: SVU Season 27 Episode 2 “A Waiver of Consent.”]

Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) doesn’t have a choice but to accept the newest member of her squad — Chief Kathryn Tynan (Noma Dumezweni) assigned him there — but does he at least prove to be someone she’ll want around? Detective Jake Griffin is played by Corey Cott, who previously appeared as the son of Benson’s former partner, played by Anthony Edwards — an ER reunion for Hargitay — and went to prison for rape.

The latest SVU episode also seems to set up Detective Joe Velasco’s (Octavio Pisano) exit, as he tells Benson of a new opportunity he received. Plus, Benson gets shocking news at the end of the episode about her former partner, Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni), but is there a twist?

Read on for how Benson deals with Griffin and what’s going on with Velasco.

Who’s the new detective on Benson’s squad?

In his first meeting with Benson, Griffin tells her that Tynan and his father were partners on patrol, and when he passed, she took him under his wing. He knows that the new assignment looks like he’s a spy, but he assures he isn’t. He says the chief wants him to learn to be a good detective from the best boss in the department. But she notes that their cases are victim-centric, and they’re extremely vulnerable. They work as one team, and she doesn’t have room for a detective with a different agenda. He promises that he only wants to learn and she’s the boss. And so she gives him the opportunity to prove himself with a rape case.

But right from the start, he’s not exactly making smart choices. He holds back a mark that turns out to be a QR code on the victim’s (Molly Griggs) wrist until he shares that scanning it leads to a members only club, Sensate (an IAB investigation into it was shut down in the past). He tells Benson “let’s roll” when they leave the hospital. When Benson learns the victim, Maya, is trying to check herself out of the hospital early, she brings Griffin with her and calls him out on his actions thus far. They work as a team, she reminds him. Then, when he stands in Maya’s way when she’s trying to leave and Benson tells him to let her go, she reminds him of how they do and do not treat victims and what they’re going through. “Let’s roll,” she pointedly tells him. “I’ll do better,” he says. (Griffin raising his hand when he talks is irksome, but Kevin Kane‘s Detective Terry Bruno makes it clear he needs to stop, or he’ll shoot his hand off.)

Virginia Sherwood/NBC

When Captain Renee Curry (Aimé Donna Kelly) and Velasco don’t get anywhere talking to Sensate’s owner, Derek, who refuses to hand over any members list and says there’s no camera, Griffin brings up an informant who can help. That informant has a comment about Griffin hanging up his “Batman wings,” referring to a nickname the detective apparently received from perps. He does get Bruno and Griffin into the club as prospective members, and Derek invites them to come by as guests that night. First, however, they must sign consent forms, which ADA Sonny Carisi (Peter Scanavino) says is BS. Everyone signs it and thinks it’s legally binding, then anything can happen and go unreported. It’s why Maya’s reluctant to talk; she thinks she can’t.

Benson tells Bruno and Griffin to be careful, but the newest squad member tells her he’s been undercover before. Not like this, she warns. And she’s clearly right. At the club that night, the two detectives, as they report back to the rest of the squad, see high-profile men and women who clearly didn’t want to be there. But they wouldn’t get anywhere with a bust. Benson sends everyone home for the night, but Griffin goes back to the club.

When Benson finds out the next day, she’s, of course, mad. “This is unacceptable. I’ve already told you twice that we do things differently here and we don’t do things alone,” she reminds him. He apologizes, but that’s not enough. She’s ready to call Tynan and tell her it’s not going to work because she doesn’t need a cowboy who makes decisions on his own. But he reveals that he found a woman who works at the club who’s willing to talk to them. Isabella (Emilia Suarez) is willing to do whatever she can to make sure that the position she’s in — unable to say no to the men — doesn’t happen to anyone else, but when the NYPD raids the club, everyone hands over a card for a lawyer, Daniel Olin (Glenn Fleshler).

Another ADA, CJ Jones (Chicago Med‘s Norma Kuhling) joins Carisi as second chair after running into her own issues with Olin in the past; their motion to remove him from the case since he represents Derek and some potential witnesses has the other lawyer drop everyone but Derek. Isabella testifies, but Olin turns it around on her, then tries to paint Derek as someone just running a sexually free club with no violations. Jones handles the cross and brings up the consent waivers — Does he think someone can sign away their consent, that any woman who steps into his club is consenting to be raped? — and gets in his face about “actually running a house of prostitution where women are drugged and used by powerful men.”

The turning point comes when Benson brings a video Bruno finds online of Maya at the club, clearly unable to consent. At first, Maya doesn’t think she can testify, worried about what people will say, but Benson assures her she can. Anyone who doesn’t think she was victimized from the video is not worth listening to. With that, Maya opens up about her assault. “They used your shame to silence you. Think about what happens if you start talking,” Benson tells her. And with that, Maya testifies about her assault and seeing everything that Derek does in the club — including threatening her that she’d have a bad night when she tried to intervene when he was screaming at a shot girl.

Derek is found guilty of promoting prostitution in the third degree, sex trafficking in the second degree, and criminal sale of a controlled substance in third degree. Benson also is impressed by Jones, and Carisi assures her he already got her transferred.

As Griffin’s leaving for the night, he tells Benson he knows he blew it going into the club alone. He always wanted to be a cop and once he saw he was good at it, he never questioned himself. She reminds him that it’s a learning curve and not everyone’s right for SVU but Isabella saw something in him and he made her feel safe, and that’s something that can’t be taught. She proposes a deal: “As long as we are all on the same team, you may have a home here.” He thanks her and promises to never go behind her back.

How is Velasco being written out?

After offering an apology and promise that he’ll never hide something like Fin’s lost gun again, Velasco reveals to Benson that he’s been tapped by DEA to go undercover guarding Ramireaz’s drug runs. She says it makes sense with his experience with cartels, but does he trust the agents? While they seem straight up, he tells her they’ve told him to keep it under wraps, even from her. He knows he’s put her in a bad position and understands if she wants to report it up. But she assures him that it will stay between us. Keep her informed and be careful, she stresses. We then see the start of his assignment.

Wait, what happened to Stabler?

At the very end of the episode, Bruno stops in Benson’s office with an urgent message from Sergeant Bell (Organized Crime‘s Danielle Moné Truitt): Detective Stabler’s is in the hospital. But this seems to just be leading into when Stabler was in the hospital in Organized Crime‘s Season 5 Episode 2 (which aired on NBC right after this one, but dropped on Peacock earlier this year) and Benson visited him, not a new incident.

What do you think of the new detective, Griffin, and Velasco’s news? Let us know in the comments section below.

Popular comedian and actor Kapil Sharma has been making headlines for unsettling reasons. A few months ago, unidentified gangsters allegedly opened fire at his newly launched restaurant in Canada. Now, the comedian has faced another scare after receiving threat calls and a ransom demand of ₹1 crore (₹10 million).

Kapil Sharma Receives 1 Crore Ransom Call

According to officials, the Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested the accused, identified as Dilip Chaudhary, from West Bengal. He allegedly posed as an associate of dreaded gangsters Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar while threatening Sharma. Police revealed that Kapil Sharma received seven threatening calls between September 22 and 23, along with intimidating videos. The threats were made from different numbers, demanding the comedian pay a hefty ransom.

Following Sharma’s complaint, the accused was tracked down in West Bengal, taken into custody, and brought to Mumbai for interrogation. He was produced before Esplanade Court, which remanded him to police custody until September 30. Investigators are now probing whether Chaudhary had direct links with these gangsters or was merely misusing their names to create fear.

Kapil Sharma

Despite these troubling incidents, Kapil Sharma continues to stay active in his career. His popular Netflix series, “The Great Indian Kapil Show,” recently wrapped up its third season with Akshay Kumar as the final guest, leaving fans in splits. Kapil is also gearing up for his next film, “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2,” directed by Anukalp Goswami. The sequel to his 2015 debut comedy was initially set to release on September 26 but has now been postponed, with a new date yet to be announced. The first part revolved around a stand-up comedian juggling three wives, and the sequel is expected to bring back the same laughter-packed chaos.

‘The Perfect Neighbor’: What We Know About Netflix’s New True Crime Documentary

by jummy84 September 24, 2025
written by jummy84

The Perfect Neighbor is one true crime documentary you’re going to want to see, even if you’re not usually a true crime fan. The film, directed by Geeta Gandbhir, premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2025, where it won the Directing Award: U.S. Documentary. Unusually for a true crime documentary, The Perfect Neighbor is already generating Oscar buzz, so you’re probably going to want to know why.

Here is everything we know about The Perfect Neighbor so far.

What is the real story behind The Perfect Neighbor?

The film tells the story of Ajike Owens, a Black woman who was killed by her white neighbor, Susan Lorincz, in Ocala, Florida. As shown in the documentary, Lorincz had routinely called the police on the Black neighborhood children, seemingly for no reason. According to CNN, Lorincz later admitted to hurling racial slurs at the children. Eventually, Owens tried to confront Lorincz, per CNN. Lorincz became frightened and fatally shot Owens through her own locked door.

Per NPR, Lorincz argued she had killed Owens in self-defense, citing at her trial Florida’s “stand your ground” laws.

“The Perfect Neighbor is a deeply personal project, created to transform grief into purpose and honor the lasting legacy of Ajike Owens and her family,” said Gandbhir in a statement.

Where is Susan Lorincz now?

In August 2024, per The New York Times, a jury convicted Lorincz of manslaughter after deliberating for only two hours. In November, according to ABC, she was sentenced to 25 years in prison. A local news station interviewed Lorincz from prison in September, and Lorincz seemed unapologetic, denying that she’s capable of manslaughter.

Who will be featured in the documentary?

Rather than relying on witness and expert interviews, The Perfect Neighbor is told through police body-cam footage and recorded audio from 911 calls, which allow the circumstances to speak for themselves.

Is there a Perfect Neighbor trailer?

The trailer for The Perfect Neighbor dropped on September 23.

EXCLUSIVE: Shakti Kapoor Was Not The Original Choice To Play Crime Master Gogo In Andaz Apna Apna; Tinnu Anand Reveals Being Offered The Role FIRST

by jummy84 September 19, 2025
written by jummy84

Tinnu Anand was originally cast as the iconic character Crime Master Gogo in Andaz Apna Apna; however, Shakti Kapoor later replaced him. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, the filmmaker and actor revealed he was supposed to play the role in the Aamir-Salman starrer. Tinnu recalled the time when Shakti Kapoor yelled at his fans, asking for a selfie. Scroll down to read below and watch the full interview.

Tinnu Anand Reveals Shakti Kapoor’s Crime Master Gogo Was Actually Supposed To Be Him

Speaking of Shakti Kapoor’s infamous Crime Master Gogo from Andaz Apna Apna, Tinnu Anand revealed an interesting story. He shared, “Crime Master Gogo ka character bhi mera hi tha. Log nahi jaante, kyunki Raj aur meri bahut dosti ho gayi thi. Damini ki hai humne, Ghatak ki hai. Ab Crime Master Gogo ka sawaal aaya ji, toh Raj ji ne mere ko kaha, ‘Tinnu, ek role hai. Kuch clear cut nahi aa raha hai, lekin uska naam Crime Master Gogo hai.’ Maine kaha, ‘Raj, mere upar wale maale pe ek Sardar ki family rehti hai.”

He added, “Unki ek beti hai, bachchi hai, lekin itni confident ladki hai yaar. Ghanti maaregi, mere sofa pe aake baith jaayegi. Paon ke upar paon rakh degi. Maid ko bulaayegi—‘Ek Coke la dena.’ Piye gi, rakh degi. Main wahin khada hota hoon. Kabhi thank you bolke chali jaati hai, kabhi bina thank you bole hi nikal jaati hai.’ Yeh roz hota tha.”

Tinnu Anand On His Experiment

He continued, “Maine ek experiment try kiya. Aaj subah jab woh aayi, aise baithi, main apne bedroom mein tha. Bedroom se bahar aaya toh maine dekha—’Kaise ho?’ toh she said, ‘Fine.’ Abhi Gokula aaya nahi tha, usne peeche mud ke dekha, ‘Kya hua Gokula ko?’ Maine kaha, ‘Aa raha hai, aa raha hai.’ Aur phir maine usko aise dekha—uski aankhon mein aankhen daal ke. Aap bhi try kijiye kabhi. Blink mat kijiye. Aapko lagega kuch gadbad hai. Dekhiye—blink kiya na? Fir main bola, ‘Kya dekh rahi hai? Yeh jo teri moti moti aankhen hain na, woh main hathheli pe rakhunga, nikaal ke, aur uske saamne goti khelunga.’”

The filmmaker added, “Uska expression kabhi dekha hi nahi tha maine. Aise (the child got scared)karke bhaagi, upar jaake ro rahi thi. Maa ne kabhi nahi dekha tha usko roते hue. Very proud parents—kyunki bachchi roti nahi thi. Aur aaj aise ro rahi thi ki bolo mat. Aur aise hi character build hua tha set pe. Aamir Khan kehta tha, ‘Woh do din jo humne enjoy kiye aapke saath, kaam kam ho raha tha, hansi zyada nikal rahi thi.’ Dono ke saath jo main kar raha tha, sab improvise tha.”

Tinnu Anand Recalls Shakti Kapoor Yelling At Fans

Tinnu Anand recalled how Shakti Kapoor recently yelled at fans. He shared, “Shakti aur main recently airport pe the. Kyunki hamara plane delayed tha, toh humne kaha chalo coffee pee lete hain. Café mein gaye. Café mein itne mein teen—do ladke, ek ladki—aaye hamare table par, aur bole, ‘Sir, sir, selfie, selfie!’ Shakti Kapoor unpe chillaa diye, ‘You people are college students, don’t you know manners? We are talking to each other, guftagu kar rahe the. We were talking about something, and you came and interrupted us. When we finish, you stand there, I will give it to you!’”

He concluded, “I was shocked. Toh maine kaha, ‘Shakti, tere ko apne din yaad hain? Jab tu struggling tha, tu struggling only for this, right? Ki log aayenge, selfie–autograph lenge, photograph lenge, ladkiyan aayengi. Aaj jab aa rahe hain tere se maangne, tu rude kyon ho raha hai yaar? Bas zara wait kar lijiye. Do tareeke hote hain baat karne ke.’ He said, ‘Sorry sir.’ He called them and said, ‘Come, take, take a selfie.’”

Tinnu Anand was recently seen in Good Bad Ugly, Crazxy and Dil Dosti Aur Dogs. All these films were released in 2025.
