Experience Mitski’s Concert Film ‘The Land’ in Theaters This Fall

Mitski: The Land, filmed over three nights at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre, screens in theaters for a limited time

Bummed you missed out on Mitski‘s last tour? You can catch it on the big screen this fall. Mitski: The Land will hit theaters for a limited time on Oct. 22.

Filmed over three nights at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre exactly one year ago (Sept. 6, 7, and 8), the shows were in support of Mitski’s last album, 2023’s The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We. The set list contained tracks from the LP — including her first-ever hit, “My Love Mine All Mine” — and highlights across her discography.

Trending Stories

Mitski has always been known for her magnetizing stage presence, featuring sharp, synchronized dance movements. The 2024 tour featured a seven-piece band, with choreography by Monica Mirabile and stage design by Andi Watson. The film was directed by Grant James, and mixed by her longtime producer, Patrick Hyland. Tickets go on sale Monday, Sept. 15.

In her 2021 Rolling Stone cover story, Mitski spoke to us about her approach to her beloved concerts. “I guess fame is relative,” she said. “There’s Taylor Swift fame and then there’s local-DIY-scene fame. The real struggle for me in getting bigger is, how do I maintain integrity in the performance? How do I make sure the audience experience is still intimate and emotional in this 8,000-cap room? How do I not resort to flashy pyrotechnics onstage? Because I don’t want my show to be about that — I want people to enter into a place with me and have an experience, and then leave having experienced something important.”

Eladio Carrión: Barclays Center Concert Review

Eladio Carrión: Barclays Center Concert Review

by jummy84 September 7, 2025
written by jummy84

Puerto Rican rapper Eladio Carrión wasn’t holding back during last night’s stop of his DON KBRN tour at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. While it isn’t the first time the rapper has performed in New York City, this was his first official arena show in the city  — and he wanted it to be bigger than ever.

Rising act Danny Towers warmed the crowd up with a medley of songs from his latest album Sinners Club which includes collaborations with Carrión on the tracks “Crush” and “ASAP.” Soon, Carrión stepped onto the stage donning a silk suit with an embroidered red dragon on the back, sidling up next to dancers who played the part of mafioso goons as they began the show with a street fight right out of a movie.

During the two-hour performance, Carrión seemed genuinely excited to be on stage and connecting with fans. From dancing and hyping up the crowd, The singer carried an undeniable confidence and warmth which only encouraged the crowd to have a good time — even when he performed some of his more scrappier hits such as “Invencible,” “Ohtani,” “H.I.M,” “Broly,” and “Vetements.”

This was also a bigger production for Carrión,f rom stage design to wardrobe styling to choreography. The back-up dancers captured interpretive elements of Carrión’s discography and demonstrated their skill and strength while performing gravity-defying breakdancing numbers and theatrical battle scenes. Surrounded by floor-to-ceiling screens, the retro-inspired Japanese iconography was cohesive throughout the show. Neon-pink, edgy graphics made Carrion appear as though he were on the cover of an underground Japanese magazine.

As the pyrotechnics, laser, and neon lighting brightened the arena, Carrión welcomed a string of guests and close friends to the stage, starting with Rich The Kid and Ty Dolla $ign, who performed their single “Carnival.” Throughout his set, Carrión revisited tracks from his earliest projects such as Sauce Boyz, Sen2 Kbrn Vol. 1, and Monaraca, all which dropped at the height of the pandemic and helped put his name on the map. During the second act, fellow Puerto Rican singers Justin Quiles and Lenny Tavares performed a medley, including “Conexion” and “SI SI SI SI.” Fans were given one last surprise as Young Miko joined the rapper for their joint track “AMG.” She even launched into one of her own hits, “Wassup,” before sharing a hug with Carrión.

Editor’s picks

Carrión came into the Latin trap scene during its peak era of the late 2010s. While several of the colleagues he came up with have gone on to experiment with different sounds, and a new crop of rappers, like Dei V, Omar Courtz, and VEI HABACHE, infuse the genre with their own unique twists, Carrión offers fans a reliable continuity in sound that remains fresh and authentic. During sentimental moments of the show, Carrión performed more emotionally vulnerable tracks “Paz Mental,” and thanked fans for following his journey since his Sauce Boyz (2020) days. He also took a moment to shout out his mother and father who were in attendance. All in all, it was Carrión at his purest.

Da Baby, Jadakiss Tapped For Newark 24 Hrs Of Peace 2025 Concert

by jummy84 September 6, 2025
written by jummy84

Newark, NJ is gearing up for one of its most anticipated musical events of the year as Mayor Ras J. Baraka announced the annual 24 Hrs. of Peace festival — set to begin tonight (Sep. 5) at 6:00 P.M. and run until Saturday (Sep. 6) 6:00 P.M.

The free event, staged at South 10th Street and Central Avenue in the city’s West Ward this year, will once again use Hip-Hop’s long history as a force for unity, nonviolence, and a good time.

“Non-violence and peace are critical elements of city life that can always be plumbed to deeper levels, every day, in every neighborhood,” said Mayor Baraka in a press release. “This annual 24-hour event merges Newark’s vibe with the vibrations of Hip-Hop, creating a synergy that yields powerful transformation and celebration. It is a highlight in our year’s long, daily efforts toward harmony and care for one another.”

This year’s lineup is stacked with heavy-hitters across generations, including Allure, Kool G Rap, Jacquees, RL, Case, DaBaby, Jadakiss, Scarlip, Zeddy Will, 41, NJ’s DJ Taj and more.

Mayor Baraka first launched the festival 15 years ago while serving as South Ward Council Member and expanded it citywide upon becoming mayor. What began as a neighborhood call for peace has grown into a major annual tradition that brings together family, neighbors, artists, business owners, and faith leaders for a full day of music, food, resources, and community connection.

Over the years, the festival has attracted some of the culture’s biggest names, including Queen Latifah — who hosted the event in 2022, praising it as “Newark at its best, Jersey at its best.”

Past lineups have featured stars like Fabolous, Faith Evans and Mya, along with notable Newark figures including Jersey Club pioneers Unicorn151, DJ Uniiqu3 and others.

Tosin Thompson

But the event is more than just a block party, it’s part of Newark’s larger Peace Week initiative, tackling violence through community outreach and cultural engagement as the streets of Brick City transform into hubs of food, fashion, art, and fun.

Mayor Baraka explained it plainly to VIBE in 2022, saying, “We say crime and violence is a public health issue. So if you treat it like public health, then there are different ways you deal with it… To change culture, to tell kids that it’s okay to love, to be peaceful, to shake each other’s hands, to say, ‘I’m sorry’… If we make that okay, the kids make different decisions.”

Co-founder and Hip-Hop icon Hakim Green echoed that sentiment, calling the festival “the true meaning of Hip-Hop: peace, love, unity, safety, and having fun.”

Lady Gaga Postpones Miami Concert, Citing ‘Extremely Strained’ Voice

The star said that although it was a difficult decision, she didn’t want to “risk long term or permanent damage” to her vocal cords

Lady Gaga has postponed her show in Miami tonight, citing an “extremely strained” voice and recommendations from both her doctor and vocal coach to rest.

The star called off the show just before it was set to kick off in Kaseya Center as thousands gathered to see Gaga perform. “I am really so so sorry but I need to postpone tonight’s show in Miami,” wrote Gaga in her statement shared to Instagram Stories. “During rehearsal last night and my vocal warmup tonight my voice was extremely strained and both my Dr and vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses.” The singer said that while she wants to” be hardcore and just push through this for you,” she doesn’t “want to risk long term or permanent damage on my vocal cords.”

She reminded fans that she sings live every night and that there is “a significant risk based on all our combined experience with a show like ours.” Gaga said that while it was “a hard and agonizing decision,” she would be “more afraid of the long term implications on my voice.”

Trending Stories

Gaga continued, “I hope you can forgive me and accept my sincerest apologies for any disappointment, let down, inconvenience I am so so sorry I tried so hard to avoid this I take serious care of myself to be able to put on this highly demanding show. I love my fans so much, respect you and hope you can accept my sincere regretful apology.” The musician said that her team is “trying to reschedule the show as quickly as possible.”

The Grammy winner’s show tonight was slated to be the last of three in Miami for her Mayhem Ball tour. It’s currently unclear if additional appearances will be affected. Gaga is still scheduled to take the stage on Saturday and Sunday in New York City at Madison Square Garden, and is also scheduled to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she leads all contenders with 12 nominations.

Lady Gaga Miami Concert Canceled on Mayhem Ball Tour

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Lady Gaga announced late Wednesday (Sept. 3) that she had to postpone her Mayhem Ball Tour stop in Miami after fans had already packed Kaseya Center for the show.

She revealed that her voice was strained during rehearsals on Tuesday night and that it hadn’t improved during her warm-up ahead of Wednesday night’s show.

“Hi everyone I am really so so sorry but I need to postpone tonight’s show in Miami,” Gaga wrote in an all-caps message posted to her Instagram Stories. “During rehearsal last night and my vocal warmup tonight my voice was extremely strained and both my [doctor] and vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses.”

In her message, Gaga expressed just how “agonizing” the decision was for her to make, but she couldn’t ignore the potential for long-term damage to her voice.

“I want to be hardcore and just push through this for you but I don’t want to risk long term or permanent damage on my vocal cords,” Gaga wrote. “There is a significant risk based on all our combined experience with a show like ours and as you know I sing live every night –and even though this was a hard and agonizing decision I would be more afraid of the long term implications on my voice. I hope you can forgive me and accept my sincerest apologies for any disappointment, let down, inconvenience. I am so so sorry. I tried so hard to avoid this. I take serious care of myself to be able to put on this highly demanding show. I love my fans so much, respect you and hope you can accept my sincere regretful apology.”

To end the message, Gaga assured fans: “We are trying to reschedule the show as quickly as possible.”

Videos on social media showed fans pouring out of Miami’s Kaseya Center after being informed of the last-minute postponement.

Gaga kicked off her Mayhem Ball Tour in Las Vegas in July and has U.S. dates scheduled through Sept. 18 in Chicago. Her international dates — with stops in Europe, Australia and Asia — go through Jan. 30.

Next up, Gaga is scheduled for two more dates at New York’s Madison Square Garden this weekend — on Saturday and Sunday — as well as a performance on Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Earlier Wednesday, Gaga dropped “The Dead Dance,” featured in the second season of Wednesday, along with a Tim Burton-directed music video and a deluxe edition of her most recent Mayhem album.

Expedition 33’ orchestral concert tour confirmed

Expedition 33’ orchestral concert tour confirmed

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 composer Lorien Testard has confirmed plans for an orchestral concert tour.

Earlier this year, the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 soundtrack topped the Billboard Classic Album Chart, a vinyl boxset was confirmed while a live performance of ‘Alicia’ from the Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase went viral.

Now composer Lorian Testard has confirmed a concert tour is in the works.

A statement from live entertainment production company Bleu Citron Tournées read: “Following the release of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and its original soundtrack, we are incredibly excited to announce a unique co-production for the launch of the official French concert series!”

The French gigs will be produced by Bleu Citron Tournées in collaboration with game developers Sandfall Interactive. Both Testard and vocalist Alice Duport-Percier will be involved in the gigs, as will the Curieux Orchestra.

“We are so honoured to be able to bring you our plans for the official regional concerts in France soon, with the potential to explore international dates in 2026,” they added.

Dates and ticket details will be revealed in the near future.

Speaking about creating the soundtrack, Testard told Gamesradar+ that he “tried not to listen to other soundtracks while working on Clair Obscur.”

“But I’ve loved video game music and listened to a lot of it when I was younger – Zelda, Xenoblade, Nier, and Joe Hisaishi (Studio Ghibli) along with all the French music I’ve grown up with,” he continued. “That music has been part of my life for years, so it’s shaped the way I hear and write music.”

It’s also been confirmed that a Clair Obscur: Expedition movie adaptation is in the works.

Last week, Clair Obscur developers teased a sequel as well as an expansion. Creator Guillaume Broche revealed that Clair Obscur is the “franchise name,” and Expedition 33 is just “one of the stories that we want to tell in this franchise.”

“Exactly what [the sequel] will look like and what the concept will be is still too soon to announce, but what is sure is that this is not the end of the Clair Obscur franchise,” he added.

In other news, the rumoured Call Of Duty live-action film adaptation has finally been confirmed and will reportedly be inspired by Top Gun: Maverick.

Jonas Brothers Tour Making Every Concert an Event: Pop Shop Podcast

written by jummy84

Jonas Brothers are maximizing the news cycle around their 20th-anniversary Greetings From Your Hometown Tour, which launched less than a month ago but has generated dozens of headlines about surprise guests, unexpected reunions and two brother trios joining forces.

The latest big news from the tour came at Sunday’s stop in Dallas, where Fifth Harmony — Ally Brooke, Normani, Lauren Jauregui and Dinah Jane — performed together for the first time in seven years. The quartet performed “Worth It” and “Work From Home” for the lucky crowd, which was also treated to surprises from Kelsea Ballerini, The Plain White T’s and Ryan Cabrera that night. The tour kicked off in the JoBros’ native New Jersey, with Demi Lovato popping up Aug. 10 for a Camp Rock sing-along. Oh, and fellow brother trio Hanson showed up at the Virginia Beach show on Aug. 15 to perform “MMMBop” with the boys.

On the new Billboard Pop Shop Podcast, Katie & Keith are talking about all the ways artists are carving out special moments for fans at their shows — like Taylor Swift’s acoustic set on Eras Tour or Kelly Clarkson’s nightly Kellyoke cover in Las Vegas — and why it’s a win-win for everyone involved.

Also on the show, Stray Kids get their seventh No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 — the entirety of their charting efforts — as KARMA debuts atop the list. Meanwhile, Laufey, Deftones, Tyler, The Creator and BigXthaPlug all shake up the Billboard 200 top 10. Plus, on the Billboard Hot 100, as the KPop Demon Hunters hit “Golden” is No. 1 for a third week, Doja Cat’s new “Jealous Type” debuts in the top 40. And on the Pop Airplay chart, Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild” jumps to No. 1 — marking her sixth leader, and all have come in just one year and five months’ time. Has anyone else notched that many No. 1s that quickly?

The Billboard Pop Shop Podcast is your one-stop shop for all things pop on Billboard‘s weekly charts. You can always count on a lively discussion about the latest pop news, fun chart stats and stories, new music, and guest interviews with music stars and folks from the world of pop. Tim McGraw, Nickelback Make Field of Dreams Concert Heaven

Tim McGraw, Nickelback Make Field of Dreams Concert Heaven

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Field of Dreams is as emblematic of the state of Iowa as Grant Wood’s American Gothic painting. The film’s love letter to baseball delivered alongside a touching father and son reconciliation spawned the iconic exchange between Ray Liotta’s “Shoeless” Joe Jackson and Kevin Costner’s Ray Kinsella that still resonates with every proud Iowan: “Is this heaven?” “No, it’s Iowa.” The Dyersville, Iowa film site – where the baseball diamond and farmhouse still stand – attracts upwards of 100,000 annual visitors to the town of less than 5,000. It’s where cinematic history slides into home, capturing the nostalgia and tradition of baseball through little league games, “Ghost Player” reenactments, and even two MLB games (played in an adjacent field).

Over Labor Day Weekend, the film site, in cooperation with Dyersville and nearby Dubuque, brought U.S. Concert Agency’s festival experience to the small town, easily eclipsing all previous events with an estimated 33,000 concert attendees to see Tim McGraw on Saturday and Nickelback on Sunday. The all-day events were held in a former cornfield across from the Kinsella family home, with the Nickelback show being dubbed Velocity in anticipation of becoming an annual rock festival. The events were marketed separately, with tickets being sold for individual days instead of as weekend passes. Still, taken together, the day-fests proved the famed Field of Dreams quote Dyersville Mayor Jeff Jacque invoked on Saturday: “If you build it, they will come.”

Get Tim McGraw Tickets Here

The McGraw show featured Loess Hills, Dani Rose, Cody Lee, Timothy Wayne, Iowa-native Hailey Whitters, and rising country star Ty Myers as supporting acts. Crowds arrived slowly throughout the day to the sold-out event, eventually peaking between Myers and McGraw. Conversely, Sunday’s Nickelback-led lineup, featuring No Fly List, Lakeview, Fuel’s Brett Scallions, Buckcherry, Default, and Brantley Gilbert, saw both a convergence of rock and country sounds as well as a more enthusiastic crowd, which largely arrived in full by the time Buckcherry took the stage. If music does indeed help plants grow, the corn in Dyersville got an earful.

Related Video

Saturday’s concerts gave more attention to the Field of Dreams movie site itself – with good reason. Tim McGraw’s father, “Tug” McGraw, was a pitcher for the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies, famed for delivering the pitch that won the Phillies their first-ever World Series in 1980. He also happened to be born on August 30th, 1944; for Tim, playing the Field of Dreams on his late father’s birthday was an emotional endeavor, and footage of that winning pitch played as the crowd sang “Happy Birthday” to the late All-Star.

As James Earl Jones’ Terence Mann said in the movie, there is something nostalgic about a site like this that “reminds us of all that once was good and could be again,” and some attendees were certainly surrounded by memories “so thick they’ll have to brush them away from their faces.” Concertgoer Scott West came from West Monroe, Louisiana to see McGraw, his college fraternity brother and former college baseball player. He’d stopped in Gattinburg, Tennessee to pick up another mutual friend, “Scoop” Maurice, whose nickname came from his time as a first baseman.

Ty Myers said of performing at the festival, “Baseball was such a huge part of my childhood. When I got the opportunity to open for Tim at [the] Field of Dreams, it was an immediate yes. I’ve been looking forward to this show all year. Tim is such an icon, and it was a real honor.”

Jazlyn Mychelle Has Been Mentioned Regarding Recent Headlines Involving NBA YoungBoy & Yaya Mayweather

Recently, Jazlyn Mychelle was mentioned amid social media chatter due to recent headlines involving NBA YoungBoy and one of the other mothers of his children, Yaya Mayweather. As The Shade Room previously reported, in August, Mayweather seemingly downplayed YoungBoy’s union with Mychelle while shutting down claims that she’s a “homewrecker,” per The Shade Room. Mayweather’s works arrived amid social media users criticizing her for seemingly receiving a lavish gift from YoungBoy and sharing loving words for him online.

To note, neither Mychelle nor YoungBoy spoke out to address Mayweather’s statements. Since then, Mayweather has continued to spark chatter online, recently sharing another warm message for YoungBoy following his Dallas concert.

Is Fifth Harmony Reuniting After Their Jonas Brothers Concert Performance? The Rumors, Explained

by jummy84 September 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Say thank you to the Jonas Brothers, Harmonizers. On August 31, the band brought Fifth Harmony to perform together for the first time in seven years. Well, four out of five of them, at least.

Normani, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui reunited during the Jonas Brothers’ JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown tour concert in Dallas, performing two of their group’s biggest hits, “Work From Home” and “Worth It.” However, the girl group—which originally formed on The X Factor in 2012 and went on hiatus in 2018—was missing one member: Camila Cabello.

Now, many Fifth Harmony fans are convinced this was not a one-off surprise performance, but a hint that the group may be planning a Jonas Brothers-esque resurgence. After all, the siblings disbanded in 2013 due to creative differences before reuniting with their hit single “Sucker” in 2019.

So, why do fans think Fifth Harmony may be returning with or without Camila Cabello? Here’s what we know—and what the streets are saying about it.

Camila Cabello exited the band in 2016.

Prior to the band’s official split, Cabello exited the girl group in 2016. “I started distancing myself from the group vision, and it felt like, you know, they were still really passionate and into that and so, I was just like, ‘I’m not happy here anymore, it doesn’t feel aligned,’” Cabello told Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper in 2024. “I can remember waking up on tour and going to my hotel room at, like, 7 a.m. and going to my garage band and, like, writing songs, cause I didn’t want to do it while everybody was there and I had such a passion that turned into writing.”

The group continued performing without Cabello until 2018, when they announced they were taking a break to “pursue solo endeavors.”
