Raj Kundra Questioned For 5 Hours In Rs 60 Cr; EOW Probes Dubious Bank Transactions And Celebrity Payments

Businessman Raj Kundra, husband of actress Shilpa Shetty, was questioned by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police for nearly five hours in connection with a Rs 60 crore financial fraud case. Officials have said that Kundra may be called again next week for further questioning.

According to sources, Shilpa Shetty may also be summoned soon, but no official notice has been sent to her yet. During the first round of questioning, Kundra admitted that Rs 60 crore was invested in five companies Satyug Gold, Vihaan Industries, Essential Bulk Commodities Pvt Ltd, Best Deal, and Statement Media. Police believe that this money may have been misused or diverted to other parties for personal or unrelated expenses.

The police found around Rs 25 crore in suspicious spending, including Rs 3.15 crore spent on a warehouse, Rs 20 crore on broadcasts, and rent for an office in Matunga. A payment of Rs 4 crore as a celebrity fee from his own company has also raised questions. Investigators are concerned this could be a case of misuse of company funds. Kundra’s dealings with Balaji Telefilms, owned by Ekta Kapoor, also came under the scanner. He has been asked to provide employee details and explain the equity valuation of the complainant’s shares, which was never carried out.

The EOW also asked Kundra to hand over video files from his platform. However, he claimed that the Mumbai Crime Branch had already seized them during an earlier case. The EOW will now work with the Crime Branch to access those files if needed. The investigation is still ongoing, and more developments are expected soon.

Singer Halsey and actor Avan Jogia shared a romantic moment as she gazed at him lovingly while clicking photos. Meanwhile, Ben Stiller and his wife Christine Taylor matched their outfits during their first Emmy Awards appearance in six years. They also coordinated their jewellery. Stiller wore a classic black suit, and his wife twinned with him in a black outfit featuring an off-shoulder bodice and a skirt. She completed her look with an Old Mone Diamond Garland necklace and Old Cut Lozenge-style Diamond earrings.

“What you do between workouts often matters more than the workout itself. … It’s usually the small things, done consistently, that create the biggest changes,” the nutritionist notes.

“Getting outside and moving regularly, using the PATH method (Palm of carbs, All the veggies, Thumb of fat, Hand of protein), and staying off your phone before bed can do more than any fancy trend,” the public speaker shares.

The 55-year-old former Buffy The Vampire Slayer star – who played Cordelia Chase in Buffy and its Angel spinoff between 1997 and 2004 – finally got to meet her dream man over the weekend when the 61-year-old actor was also a guest at GalaxyCon Nightmare Weekend in Ohio.

In a TikTok video with fans, she said: “So I don’t really know why Dermot Mulroney is here, but it doesn’t matter because it makes me so happy that he is.

“I am literally probably his biggest fan… Probably since, I don’t know, way before I was ever married.

“So I’m talking like [1997,] My Best Friend’s Wedding. I just love him in that movie. He’s just a good guy.”

She recalled his “talented” turn in Shameless, and insisted he is “so crushable at the same time”.

Her handler at the horror convention encouraged her to approach the Scream 6 star, and she “got some comfortable” she “ended up crashing his photo op”.

She got a picture with the actor, and revealed she once auditioned to appear opposite him in Chicago Fire, but missed out on the role.

She said: “He was just so sweet and kind.”

Although Dermot said they should “manifest” working together in the future, Charisma joked that she had other ideas.

She quipped: “I was like, no no, Dermot, you need to manifest being my husband.

“[I didn’t actually] say that. But that’s what I was thinking.”

Charisma got married to Damian Hardy in 2002 and welcomed son Donovan into the world in 2003, but she and her husband got divorced five years later.

Dermot – who was previously married to Catherine Keener, with whom he has son Clyde – tied the knot with Prima Apollinaare in 2008.

However, he filed for divorce from his wife – with whom he has kids Mabel, 17, and Sally, 15 – in June, citing “irreconcilable differences”.

In today’s crowded fashion landscape, designers at leading luxury fashion houses have to wear many different hats. They need to set trends and ignite fresh ideas on the catwalk, appeal to the demands of their spending couture clientele, create and sell products on a more mainstream level. It’s a tall order, though there’s a set few that have consistently bucked the trend. Some labels, like Maison Margiela, have succeeded by simply marching to the beat of their own drum.

Since founding his namesake brand in 1988, Martin Margiela was notoriously press shy and very much anti-celebrity dressing, having once said, “We have nothing at all against celebrity, but just not for us! To each his own.” Despite the enduringly low-profile spirit of the brand—and Margiela’s exit in 2009—the intrigue and interest around Margiela designs have persisted—even as successors like John Galliano and, now, Glenn Martens, have taken over the creative reigns.

Then, just this week, a new fall 2025 campaign was released starring Miley Cyrus—its first-ever campaign featuring a celebrity at the forefront, shot by Paolo Roversi. Cyrus has long incorporated the brand into her wardrobe, on album promo circuits, to the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, and at the Grammys.

“The American artist is captured in a new light, stripped-back and immersed in the core codes and archetypal expressions of the maison,” said the house in a press statement. “Some images portray the artist in a state of undress, her body painted white in homage to the maison’s white-overpaint bianchetto technique introduced in 1989.”

The 2025 Venice Film Festival has barely kicked off and, already, it’s star-studded affair: the likes of Julia Roberts, Emma Stone, George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, and Colman Domingo are all set to grace the Lido over the next couple of weeks, and we’ve got our first reports on the fashions from the red carpets.

While focus will, of course, be on this season’s buzziest premieres—including Luca Guadagnino’s After the Hunt and Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein—all eyes will no doubt be on the show-stopping red-carpet style, too. After all, this is the festival that brought us Lady Gaga’s white feathered Valentino couture gown back in 2018, and Zendaya’s wet-look Balmain dress in 2021.

Before the festival had even kicked off, we spotted George and Amal Clooney, and Emma Stone arriving in the Italian city, as well as Greta Gerwig and Laura Dern in the most euro summery fits for the daytime press calls. Following the first set of premieres—including Clooney’s Jay Kelly and Stone’s Bugonia—the style bar was set high. In tandem, the DVF Awards also took place in Venice, with Kim Kardashian in a clingy, sweeping gray Margiela look and a rare appearance for Christy Turlington with her daughter Grace Burns.

We’ve also seen more archival and vintage looks via Frankenstein’s Mia Goth, custom chanel via After the Hunt’s Ayo Edebiri, and Jonathan Anderson’s first Dior Couture look on Alba Rohrwacher.

I started drinking coffee when I was 11 years old. My grandmother, who drank her coffee in bed all her life, let me try it for the first time. Even though the coffee she made me was a mostly-milk latte, I felt so special and so “grown up,” that I immediately became obsessed.

What started as a cute tradition with my grandmother became a dependency that worsened in college. My course load often kept me up until 3 a.m., and I began to rely on the university cafe’s strong black coffee to help me function throughout the day. When I graduated and started my career, drinking coffee on an empty stomach became a regular part of my routine. It was something I didn’t even question; I did it by default. Every morning, I’d march into the office with my extra large thermos of coffee and settle in at my computer for the day.

I did this for years, until I started experiencing anxiety and a racing heart. At first, I thought that it was just badly managed stress, but when the situation didn’t improve, I started to look for more lasting solutions.

The situation was on my mind when I met Mikaela Reuben, a chef who has cooked for everyone from Blake Lively to the Dalai Lama. Naturally, I decided to ask her opinion—after all, she’s known for practicing a holistic version of nutrition and wellness. “I frequently encourage people to drink tea throughout the day,” she told me. “Not as a substitute for coffee, but as a habit that supports hydration, digestion, and overall nutrition. In particular, herbal infusions can be full of healing properties, and drinking something hot can be a grounding ritual. It’s one of those small gestures that can make a big difference.”

Reuben’s comments inspired me to consider my habit and to listen to my body, which was clearly giving me signals. In my emotional state, drinking coffee just wasn’t a good decision. “That said, yes, I drink coffee too,” she confided. “But I try to be mindful of how it affects the nervous system, so I usually eat first and reflect on why I drink it. Do I use it to connect or to cope? I still wonder what it would be like to give it up completely, but at the moment I’m not quite ready.”
