‘Palm Royale’ Creator Breaks Down the Carol Burnett Season 2 Scene

by jummy84 December 15, 2025
written by jummy84

With Palm Royale, creator and writer Abe Sylvia has crafted a bright, boisterous dramatic comedy pitched perfectly to the charms and talents of its star, Kristen Wiig (who plays aspiring socialite Maxine Dellacorte-Simmons). But just under the surface of the series’ high comedy, high society and high hair lie hard truths about being a woman of ambition: what it means to be a “have-not” in the glamorous world of “haves,” and the cost of getting all you’ve ever wanted — and what some are willing to do to hold on to even a handful of it. In season two of the series, which also stars Carol Burnett, Laura Dern, Allison Janney and a coterie of notable faces that includes Julia Duffy as fellow socialite Mary Davidsoul, Sylvia ups the ante, putting his characters in direct conflict as they stake even more entitled claims to things that were never theirs. Old frictions become new frays in the very first episode as Norma (Burnett) and Linda, née Penelope (Dern), collide in a tête-à-tête dispensing new secrets and poignant credos after the explosive season one finale that left Robert (Ricky Martin) shot and Linda cuffed.

After Carol Burnett’s Norma spent much of season one mumbling or unconscious in the background, Sylvia wanted her front and center, driving action in season two. “I really wanted to take the opportunity to introduce the audience to Norma in her full power, as only Carol Burnett could embody her,” Sylvia says. “This season, we wanted to leave nothing on the table in terms of the wondrous powers of our actors. And so right out of the gate, we wanted Norma to be driving the first episode.”

Erica Parise/Courtesy of Apple TV+

When talking about harsh societal realities, Sylvia distills the ethos of the entire show through Norma in this quick exchange. “She’s saying a real truth there: ‘You have agency, you have your own money and you have conviction. You are the poster girl for the enemy within,’ ” Sylvia says. “It’s set against this ridiculous story, but what woman in this country hasn’t felt that way? Look at what happens to women in this country who have ambition and how they’re vilified. Linda’s an idealist and Norma’s a realist. These women of society, even though they had money, still faced all the misogyny and barriers that women have always faced.”

Erica Parise/Courtesy of Apple TV+

“I like to say, nothing is ever wasted in our show. For all the planning you do, there are some decisions that you make along the way and we won’t always know why we did it until much later, and it totally pays off,” Sylvia says. “Case in point, even though Norma paints a really vivid and convincing picture of how they could pin [the shooting] on Maxine, I was sitting in the writers room and I was like, ‘We need one more piece of evidence. It isn’t enough that she invited Nixon to the ball. It isn’t enough that she had been hanging out with Linda in the feminist bookstore in season one. Like, we need a piece of hard evidence.’ And then I realized that the real culprit we had named Mary Davidsoul, and she has the same initials as Maxine. Those little things, you know. It’s like a puzzle sometimes.”

It’s not only Wiig’s accent and diction, familiar to fans of her work on SNL, that gives Palm Royale its comedic sense of heightened reality, “There’s a very sort of singsong rat-a-tatness to our dialogue that heightens the whole series. But we then also have these actors that can play [up the writing] style, but still do it in a really grounded way,” Sylvia says. But writing for the show means also knowing when to pull back, and Sylvia says he empowers the actors to tell him when enough seems like enough. “I had this one line in this scene … I think at the start it was, ‘just a confluence of convenience,’ which seems very fitting for the show,” Sylvia says. “And Carol goes, ‘Now that’s just even too wordy for us.’ And I said, ‘OK, fair enough.’ ”

Erica Parise/Courtesy of Apple TV+

Comparing how this scene plays out to what was written on the page highlights that so much of what the actors do was never written into the character or the script, Sylvia says. “There’s a beautiful moment later in the scene where, for a moment, Linda considers [Norma’s proposition]. And we didn’t put that in the dialogue, that at the last moment, Linda almost goes along with it,” Sylvia says. “But I remember that when we were doing this scene, I went up to Laura, and she’s one of our greatest living actresses, and I said, ‘Why don’t we put in this moment at the end?’ And when you watch the scene, you’ll see for a moment she realizes that Norma is right, that she is going to fry for this. And you just watch it in Laura’s eyes. There’s a passing moment where she goes, ‘Oh, maybe, maybe I will.’ ”

Sylvia and the writers, up to this point, have breadcrumbed distinct mysteries that they lurch into full steam through the dialogue here. For many viewers, it might raise an intrigued eyebrow to hear Norma saying to Linda that being born rich ruined her. “Norma’s had to hustle. Norma wasn’t born rich,” Sylvia says. “Linda doesn’t know that Norma wasn’t born rich. The origin story begins in the finale of season one, and by episode three of season two, more is revealed — or the story we already know, we get to watch play out.”

Celebrity Hairstylist Justine Marjan Breaks Down the Ultimate Do’s and Don’ts of Extensions

by jummy84 November 25, 2025
written by jummy84

Getting luscious locks just got a lot easier thanks to celebrity hairstylist Justine Marjan. The hair pro, whose client roster includes Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian, Megan Fox, Shay Mitchell, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Eva Longoria, and more A-listers, shared her extensions tips with ET while celebrating the opening of the Bellami Beauty Bar in West Hollywood, California.

And whether you’re a total newbie or a seasoned pro, Marjan says you’re in the right place for all things hair extensions.

“The new location is stunning. It has a retail area, multi-chair salon space, and a VIP salon chair. … Anyone who is looking for density or fullness, added length, or variation in color without a chemical service is a good candidate,” she notes.

Justine Marjan/Instagram

Before committing to a mane change, the key is choosing a top tier brand and an expert you trust.

“Bellami’s professional stylists are on hand for consultations, color matching, and to install temporary and semi-permanent extensions. … I love the amazing quality, the range of options for application, the innovative technology, and the wide color range,” Marjan explains.

For true beginners, the hair guru suggests starting with clip-ins.

“They’re the best way to test out extensions and see if you like the look, feel, and density of them. … You can also use them to instantly change your look for a specific style, like a ponytail, or for a fuller bun or braid, without the commitment of other methods.”

Justine Marjan/Instagram

If you find yourself wearing them regularly, it may be time to explore options with more staying power.

“K-tips last the longest but also take the longest to apply because individual keratin bonds are attached to tiny strands of hair throughout the entire head,” she shares.

“Tape-ins are a much faster option, but last around 6 to 8 weeks. They’re usually good for someone who wants length and fullness for a trip, wedding, or special occasion.”

Marjan will even mix and match techniques when needed to correct any previous hair mishaps. “Sometimes I’ll use bonds and tapes together to fix a hair issue like a bad haircut or to mask hair loss.”

Justine Marjan/Instagram

Once your extensions are in, a few golden rules will help keep them looking gorgeous.

Definite do’s: Keep your strands detangled and healthy.

“Bellami has an amazing brush designed specifically for extension maintenance. I suggest using it every day to avoid matting. … And when your hair feels dirty, wash it. It depends on your hair density, how often you sweat or work out, and your natural sebum production.”

Justine Marjan/Instagram

As for the major don’ts? Swimming in salt water or chlorine, sleeping with wet hair, air drying, applying masks or conditioner to roots, using oils or silicone at the attachment point, and applying hot tools directly to the tape or bond.

“There are countless ways to use extensions. It’s really based on your lifestyle and what is preferred for maintenance and application. At Bellami’s Beauty Bar, you can finish your look off with the perfect style.”

Lyma Laser Vs Lyma Laser Pro: Vogue Breaks Down The Differences

by jummy84 November 21, 2025
written by jummy84

There’s no beauty tech quite as coveted as the Lyma Laser. Half shrouded in celebrity-laden mystery, half a staple in aesthetician arsenals, the at-home laser has kept audiences rapt since its 2020 launch.

The Lyma Lasers, At a Glance

Users report brighter, firmer, more even-toned skin as a result of using the device for a significant period of time–three months seems to be the sweet spot for reaping the rewards of consistent use–and the sleek, cylindrical casing is about as chic as it comes.

Then, in 2024, the brand announced a new tool, the Lyma Laser Pro–a larger, more powerful cold-laser device with a wider head. Here, Vogue breaks down the differences (and similarities) between the two devices. More on this, ahead.

In This Story

Size

The most obvious upgrade is the size. Where the Lyma Laser covered 8cm² of skin at a time, the Pro targets 30cm². This change in dimension makes it suitable for larger areas of the body, like the underarms, knees, stomach, and neck, as well as the face and ears. Because of this change in dimension, the Lyma Laser Pro is bulkier but would still fit well in a suitcase for travel, though maybe not quite as well in a handbag for on-the-go use.

Potency

The Lyma Laser Pro contains three lasers compared to the Lyma Laser’s one. This translates to three 500mW near-infrared lasers at a wavelength of 808 nanometres for a total of 1450mW. The Lyma Laser has one 500mW near-infrared laser that also operates at a wavelength of 808nm. Naturally, tripling the number of near-infrared lasers within the device creates a more powerful output to the tune of 3x.

Price

The Lyma Laser is currently one of the most expensive at-home tools on the market. For converts, though, the price is well justified.

“In terms of devices I’ve used that have had a noticeable impact on the texture of my skin (I’m mainly talking evenness of tone and elasticity), nothing I have tried comes close,” says regular British Vogue contributor Georgia Day. “Everything just looked tighter, fresher and clearer, the sort of skin texture I imagine you’d have if you lived a wholesome life imbibing green juice, wearing no makeup and going on invigorating country walks every day.”

The original Lyma Laser retails at $2,695 but can be found currently 25% off for Black Friday reduced at $2,021. The Lyma Laser Pro costs $5,995.

How to Pick the Best Lyma Laser For You

With consistent use, each of the Lyma Laser devices will deliver impressive results. From improving elasticity to treating sun damage, smoothing texture, and reducing inflammation.

Sanjay Khan Reminisces About the Moment He Proposed to Zarine Khan

Zarine’s husband, actor Sanjay Khan, reminisced about the moment he proposed to her. “I met her when I was 18 and she was 14. When I looked into her luminous, beautiful eyes, I felt as if I was looking at the world. I asked her, ‘Will you marry me?’ She looked at me with a smile and said, ‘If I feel the same about you that I feel now, I’ll say yes after one year.’ So I stated, ‘With or without her beauty, she is also an intelligent person. She will make me a very good wife’.”

Hrithik Roshan Fondly Remembers His Former Mother-in-Law Zarine Khan

Speaking about his mother, Zarine, her son Zayed Khan said: “My mother was my God. I’ll miss her deeply.” Hrithik Roshan said, “It has been my privilege to love and be loved by you.”

Farah Khan Ali penned a heartfelt note for her late mother, expressing gratitude for the immense love and admiration Zarine Khan received. Sharing the video from the prayer meet, Farah conveyed how deeply moved she was by the affection and respect shown towards her mother by everyone who knew her.

Sanjay Khan and Zarine Khan

“Zarine Sanjay Khan to the world — but to me and my siblings, simply our mother. She was my world, or so I thought… until I witnessed the overwhelming turnout of people from all walks of life who came forward to pay their last respects to a woman who made each one feel seen and heard, irrespective of class, social status, or faith. To her, all were equal, and all equally important. I am truly blessed to have witnessed this outpouring of love for my mother. I’m also profoundly grateful for having had her in my life for more than half a century, because every moment of that time was precious,” she said.

Farah wrote about how her mother lovingly raised her and her siblings, highlighting Zarine Khan’s strength, warmth, and unwavering dedication to her family. “She shaped me and my siblings in her image — she loved generously and gave without flinching. She had a golden heart, just like the meaning of her beautiful name, Zarine, which means ‘golden’ or ‘to shine.’ And shine she did — the brightest of all — as she left her earthly abode for her heavenly one. Thank you, God, for my mother. Thank you for all the love she received. Thank you that she lives on in me and my siblings. We will carry her legacy forward,” she concluded.

Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Pooja addressed the gossip, saying, “I’m not here to give gossip. I’ve met Zaheer, and he’s one of the funniest men I’ve ever met. I love him! People are so jobless to spread such rumours. Kussh and Sonakshi worked together on a film, ‘Nikita Roy’—would that happen if they weren’t on good terms? The whole family even appeared together on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show.’ People just love to gossip.”

She further praised the couple’s relationship, calling it full of love and warmth. “The family is very close-knit. People love to create stories out of thin air. Families have their ups and downs, but they always stand together. Just because people talk doesn’t make it true,” she said.

Will ‘The Lowdown’ Return for Season 2? Ethan Hawke Breaks Down the Finale Episode (Exclusive)

by jummy84 November 5, 2025
written by jummy84

What To Know

  • The Lowdown star Ethan Hawke discusses the show’s season finale episode, “The Sensitive Kind.”
  • The actor teases what could happen next after the ending.
  • Plus, get an exclusive peek at an intimate conversation between Hawke and costar Kyle MacLachlan.

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for The Lowdown Season 1 Episode 8, “The Sensitive Kind.”]

The debut season of FX‘s ragtag noir The Lowdown, from creator Sterlin Harjo, came to an explosive ending as the mystery behind Dale Washberg’s (Tim Blake Nelson) death was unraveled by Tulsa’s resident “trusthstorian,” Lee Raybon (Ethan Hawke).

The episode, “The Sensitive Kind,” opened up where the previous episode left off, moments after Lee had chased Akron businessman Frank (Tracy Letts) into the One Well Church helmed by Mark Russell (Paul Sparks). As Lee realized he’d stepped into some real potential danger amidst the neo Nazis, Marty (Keith David) entered the space and claimed he was undercover and taking Lee into custody.

The ruse lasted only seconds for the men to get out the door and into Lee’s van, but they didn’t get away unscathed as Marty got grazed by a stray bullet when the One Well group charged after them, guns ablaze. While the men ultimately got away, Lee faced the consequences of his actions when artist Chutto (Mato Wayuhi) broke his shop window in retaliation for his grandfather Arthur’s (Graham Greene) death, which was unknowingly put in motion when he called Betty Jo (Jeanne Tripplehorn) and she sent Frank in search of Dale’s lost will.

While Lee told Chutto the land Dale had wanted to gift Arthur belonged to him, the young man didn’t want it, and that left the reporter to rethink his next move. As he tried to piece his latest story together, Lee faced his relationship with his daughter, Francis (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), who read a poem about his breakup with ex-wife Sam (Kaniehtiio Horn), which also forced Lee to reconcile his role as a father.

Shane Brown / FX

After he left Dale’s letters to his daughter Pearl (Ken Pomeroy), Betty Jo called Lee up, enraged and wanting answers, but that was exactly what Lee hoped for. The pair met in a neutral spot, and while Lee couldn’t say if the letters revealed that Donald (Kyle MacLachlan) was Pearl’s biological father, the conversation revealed that she had knowledge of Dale’s true death.

Lee took that and went off to write his story, but he recruited Marty to get Donald to a neutral location at Cyrus’s (Killer Mike) office to allow the political candidate an opportunity to read it first and offer a statement. Lee explained that Dale had been shot accidentally and was originally meant to be scared into selling his land. When Lee relayed to Donald that he had an opportunity to do something good with Dale’s legacy, he decided to gift the land to the Osage and cut ties with the wealthy power players in the area.

The episode concluded with Lee attending Sam’s wedding to Johnny (Rafael Casal), where he wished the newlyweds well, and set a boundary with his daughter, putting her best interest ahead of his own by telling her to stay full-time with her mother and stepfather. It was both a buttoned-up and open ending in a way that leaves us satisfied and hungry for more.

Below, star Ethan Hawke breaks down the finale’s highlights on community, filming alongside a star-studded ensemble, and the importance of story. (Plus, get an exclusive look at an intimate conversation between Hawke and MacLachlan in the video below).

I loved that book shop moment from the beginning, where Lee interacts with Dale, and later in the episode, when Donald asks if they ever met, Lee says he never did. Was he lying, or did he just not remember meeting Dale?

Ethan Hawke: It’s kind of wonderfully mysterious, isn’t it? In my imagination, Lee didn’t remember that he’d met him until right then, all of a sudden. Sometimes that happens to you. You’re like, “Oh, wait, I remember something I hadn’t remembered before.” But he doesn’t have the confidence to verbalize it. Or maybe he always remembered, I don’t know. But it kind of gets at the wonderful nuance of truth-telling and how we all shade and hide the truth for when it makes sense to us and when we want to. And that’s how a lot of accidents happen.

That confrontation at One Well Church when Marty has to step in and save Lee is tense. How was it filming that sequence?

It was such a strange day of shooting to have all these unbelievably talented people there. I mean, Tracy Letts is one of the great American playwrights, and there he is acting with us, and Tom McCarthy is a brilliant filmmaker himself, and he’s there. Keith’s so genuine, a bona fide legend. I’ve loved Paul Sparks’ acting forever; he is one of my favorite actors. And so it was a great group of people. One of the fun things about playing Lee is that he’s just always thinking on his feet. He doesn’t really have a plan, and sometimes he’s really brave but in a stupid way. None of it’s thought out, and I don’t think he thinks through that moment. He’s just chasing [Frank] into that church, not really thinking about what he’s going to do, and then he’s just a cat trying to stay alive.

Keith David and Ethan Hawke in 'The Lowdown'

Shane Brown / FX

Speaking of Lee not thinking things through, he ultimately got Arthur killed in the previous episode because he spoke too openly in front of Betty Jo, and Lee is on the receiving end of Chutto’s anger because of it. Was that a learning moment for him? Will he be more careful moving forward?

I think it’s what pushes the show into the deep end of the pool. It’s that sometimes all these characters — Lee and everybody — they’re breaking hearts and doing good and bad things simultaneously, and that’s the complexity and nuance of real life. Good guys don’t wear white hats and bad guys don’t wear black hats. I do think that scene that you mentioned with Chutto is the first real smack of humility that Lee gets. He sees himself as a caped crusader, and he’s forced to stare in the mirror and see that he’s not clean. And the great thing about that is if you can absorb humility the right way, it can lead to compassion. It’s what makes him able to make the necessary compromises to put aside the article he wants to write and write a different article that actually could serve a good purpose, and also helps him to be a good enough man and father to show up for his daughter at his ex-wife’s wedding.

Lee and Donald’s conversation in Cyrus’s office reveals that he didn’t know Betty Jo had gotten Dale killed. How important is it for Lee and Donald to share that moment of connection that leads to Donald handing over Dale’s land to the Osage?

Whether he’s doing that just to get out of trouble or whether he is doing it to be a good person, we don’t really know, but it doesn’t really matter. He’s doing the right thing. My favorite part of the show is when the season starts with Lee comparing Donald Washburg to Adolf Hitler, which is what we do when we want to demonize somebody today. The left wing calls people Adolf Hitler, the right wing calls people Nazis… And of course, at the end of the show, he realizes, this is a human being trying to play the cards he’s dealt. He thinks he’s a good person. He didn’t know that his brother was murdered; he wasn’t a part of it. He did look the other way when it was to his best interest, which is exactly what Lee’s done.

Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kaniehtiio Horn, Rafael Casal, and Ethan Hawke in 'The Lowdown' finale

Shane Brown / FX

Did you know how Dale’s death really unfolded throughout filming, or did you learn when filming the finale episode? How did that process unfold?

The process was so mysterious. It really started with Sterlin having this idea for a show, and I don’t think he really knew exactly where it was going. He knew how it was going to end, and he knew what the feeling was. How we got there was mysterious to all of us. In a lot of ways, the show’s really about community, and the mystery is in service of the characters, which is why I love it.

In one of our first conversations about it, we talked through the wedding scene with the daughter and knew that was what it had to drive towards. It’s Lee’s journey about what it means to be a good man and how we can view our sensitivities as strengths and not weaknesses. The whole murder mystery part of it had some movement as we told the story. I used to make up stories for my kids when they would fall asleep, and sometimes, when you just let your subconscious roll, great stuff happens. They would fall asleep [and I’d be like] I’ve got to go write that down, but then I could never remember it.

Where do you think Lee and Francis stand after he tells her to live with her mother full-time? Is there a sense of rejection there?

It’s wonderfully nuanced because for the first time, he’s really trying to see what is in her best interest, and he sees that she has a good stepfather and that they have a good thing going, and that might be a great resource and value to her. He’s not seeing her life as a reflection of him, but as her own life. And so, in a way, it’s a mark of wisdom, and in another way, it’s really disappointing to her. She wants to be loved wholly and completely and blindly. And I think the feeling I get from that last scene is that they’re going to find their way, but I would love to do a second season just because her character’s getting to be a really interesting age and her problems are going to get more complicated. It’d be wonderful to see Lee try to parent a teenage daughter.

The full-circle nature of Lee gifting Samantha the painting he stole in the premiere episode is so satisfying. Is there more to uncover in terms of their history?

I think so, definitely. I mean, Tiio and Rafael are such great actors, and I would love to see the ongoing dynamics between all three of them. I would love to see future parent-teacher conferences where they all sit there and pick her.

Have there been any discussions about where the show might go if it’s picked up for Season 2?

Of course, we can’t help but daydream, but the truth is, I feel really proud of Episode 8. I love the way the show resolves, and I’m excited for audiences to see it. And the TV gods have to decide whether or not there’s an audience for it.

Sydney Sweeney Breaks Silence on Jeans Ad

Sydney Sweeney has finally addressed the controversy around her not-actually-that-controversial American Eagle ad, and boy was it not worth the wait.

“I didn’t really see a lot of it,” she told GQ, noting that she was filming Euphoria at the time. Sweeney added that “it was surreal” but “it didn’t affect me one way or the other.”

As to why she didn’t issue a statement earlier, she said, “I’ve always believed that I’m not here to tell people what to think … when I have an issue that I want to speak about, people will hear.”

According to Sweeney, “I know who I am. I know what I value. I know that I’m a kind person. I know that I love a lot, and I know that I’m just excited to see what happens next. And so I don’t really let other people define who I am.”

American Eagle has a Jewish CEO and a pretty respectable history of inclusivity. Nevertheless, its “Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans” ad was called a Nazi dogwhistle by a small number of social media users, none of whom you’ve ever heard of, and those posts were quickly promoted by a vast network of right wing accounts who were hoping that “boobs” would become conservative coded. It kind of worked, at least among people who aren’t paying attention. Last week, Sharon Stone defended Sweeney (from whom?) by saying, “It’s hard to be hot.”

Sweeney’s new award-season hopeful Christy, about boxer Christy Brinkely, lands in theaters on November 7th.

Ajith Kumar breaks silence on Karur tragedy: “One person cannot bear the blame alone”

The devastating incident in Karur this September, which left several lives lost and many injured during a political event attended by Vijay, continues to echo through Tamil Nadu. In his recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, actor and racing enthusiast Ajith Kumar shared a thoughtful take on the tragedy, urging society to see it not as the fault of one man but as a collective failure.

“That individual alone is not responsible. We are all responsible for it, and even the media has a part to play,” Ajith said, referring to the way public gatherings and celebrity events often spiral out of control. He pointed out that society has become “obsessed with gathering,” and this obsession must stop before it costs more lives.

Ajith’s comments mark a rare moment of self-awareness from one of Tamil cinema’s most private stars. He spoke calmly but firmly about how the culture of mass adoration can quickly turn dangerous when boundaries are blurred between admiration and frenzy. “There should be a way to express love and excitement, but it has to be within limits,” he added.

The actor also highlighted the importance of understanding the risks that come with fame. “As an actor, like many others, I work hard, stay away from family for long periods, and often get injured on set. We do it out of love for our fans,” he said, adding that this very bond must be expressed responsibly.

Hero Worship and the Reflection on Cinema

Ajith’s words come at a time when the line between film and politics in Tamil Nadu has become increasingly thin. Overcrowding at public events, competitive displays of loyalty, and the urge to show fan strength have become common. The Karur tragedy, according to Ajith, should be a moment of reflection for everyone involved.

“Why is it happening only in theatres or at events linked to cinema personalities?” he asked. “When things go wrong, it projects the entire film industry in a bad light.” His message, while measured, carries an unmistakable urgency. It calls for a change in how fandom is expressed and how media amplifies that spectacle.

Reports from the investigation into the Karur incident indicate that mismanagement, overcrowding, and inadequate control were major factors that led to the tragedy. Ajith’s response, therefore, is not just a reaction to public sentiment but a wider commentary on accountability. His stance underlines the need for awareness, restraint, and respect for safety, both from fans and those who lead them.

Looking Ahead: A New Chapter with Adhik Ravichandran

While addressing the tragedy, Ajith also spoke about his professional journey. He confirmed that he will be joining hands again with filmmaker Adhik Ravichandran after their recent collaboration Good Bad Ugly. The official announcement of the new project will be made in January 2026.

Director Adhik had earlier mentioned that while Good Bad Ugly catered primarily to Ajith’s fans, their next project would reach a broader audience. This upcoming venture is expected to mark a new phase in Ajith’s career, bringing together his mass appeal and his growing desire to explore deeper, more universal stories.

Ajith’s openness in this interview reflects a side of him that fans rarely see. By addressing the Karur tragedy head-on, he has reminded the industry, the media, and the audience that empathy and self-reflection are as vital as success and celebration. His words serve as both a reality check and a call for change within a culture that often confuses admiration with worship.
