Singer Benny Dayal and his wife, Catherine Thangam, are expecting their first child. The artist shared the joyful news on his Instagram, expressing his excitement to his fans. Known for hits like Badtameez Dil, Lat Lag Gayee, Daaru Desi, and Ude Dil Befikre, Benny is thrilled to step into fatherhood. Before his singing career took off, Benny worked in a BPO and as a journalist, and he recently posted charming photos from Catherine’s pregnancy shoot, capturing the special moments.

Benny Dayal Is Expecting His FIRST Child

Previously, Benny shared candid images with Catherine, including ultrasound pictures and a shot of him gently holding her baby bump. In his caption, he announced, “Our little light is on the way. Baby Dayal, our new ray of sunshine coming soon,” sharing their happiness with fans.

Friends from the Bollywood industry congratulated the couple on their joyful news, which they announced during Diwali. Vishal Dadlani commented, “Now that’s a Happy Diwali! Congratulations,” while Armaan Malik said, “Omg! Yeh to badi happy wali Diwali hogayi, congrats Ben and Cat.” Fans expressed their excitement and eagerly awaited the arrival of the little one.

Benny’s Journey Into Bollywood

Benny’s journey into the music industry was anything but easy. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he revealed that he faced numerous struggles early in life, which served as valuable lessons. When he began his career, music directors had little to offer him, and he often had to plead for opportunities, singing even in choruses without immediate breakthroughs. His fortunes changed in 2006 after meeting AR Rahman. At the time, Benny was working at a news desk and had only recently joined. One evening, he was asked to sing harmony—a moment he initially thought was a joke. However, that opportunity proved pivotal, transforming his career.

Catherine, Benny’s wife, is a lifestyle content creator, actress, and model who has appeared in various magazines and brand campaigns. When she moved to Mumbai, she shifted her focus from modelling to content creation. The couple met through mutual friends in Chennai and tied the knot in June 2016.
