Badshah shared a series of selfies revealing a visible eye injury, sparking concern among his followers. However, his caption transformed the reveal into a humorous crossover moment with the recently released series The Ba*ds of Bollywood, in which he makes a cameo appearance.

Badshah Suffers Eye Injury During Final US Tour

Taking to his Instagram, Badshah wrote, “Avtar ji ka mukka hit karta hai jaisee,” referencing a scene from the show where Manoj Pahwa’s character Avtar knocks him out in a boxing match after the rapper mocks his song. Alongside this witty line, he included the show’s hashtag and promoted his latest track. The second image showed the rapper sporting a bandage over his eye and giving a thumbs-up, reassuring fans that he was on the mend.

While the post entertained its audience with its clever reference, it also came after a genuine health scare. According to Hindustan Times, the injury occurred during the final leg of Badshah’s North America tour. Something had entered his eye during his last performance, but he continued performing despite the discomfort. Upon returning to India, he consulted a doctor, who confirmed he had suffered a corneal abrasion and underwent a routine procedure. He was advised to keep his eye patched for five days.

This mishap coincided with the conclusion of a significant chapter in Badshah’s career. His The Unfinished Tour attracted over 45,000 fans across sold-out arenas in New Jersey, Virginia, Seattle, Dallas, Oakland, and Chicago.

The show has been praised, and its scenes and dialogues are becoming viral memes, proof of success in these digital times. But a few memes have been propagating falsehoods, too. One such is the claim that Anya Singh, the actor who plays Lakshya’s talent manager Sanya on the show, is the daughter of Shah Rukh Khan’s real-life manager, Pooja Dadlani.

Is Anya Singh Pooja Dadlani’s daughter?

There are many Instagram Reels showing a cute moment between Shah Rukh and Anya at the show’s preview launch last month, where the superstar had compared Anya’s character to Pooja Dadlani. And that’s where the confusion began, Anya feels. In an exclusive chat with HT, the actor says, “It was surprising. I think people misunderstood when Shah Rukh sir compared me to Pooja, and I think there was a hiccup in translating it.”

But then she adds with a smile, “But I never denied it.” Anya explains, “I went with it. Our show is all about myths, so I thought, ‘Why bust all of them?'”

‘Pooja and I laughed about it’

The Ba***ds of Bollywood is about an actor called Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya) who is navigating his first steps in the Hindi film industry. Anya plays Sanya, Aasmaan’s manager. Introducing the actor at the show’s preview launch in August, Shah Rukh had quipped Anya was ‘very much like my Pooja’.

The actor adds, “When I met Pooja at the screening, I told her, ‘People think I am your daughter’, and both of us just laughed about it. Neither of us was affected by it.”

The Ba***ds of Bollywood is produced by Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment, and Anya is glad she got a chance to interact with the superstar because of her role in the show. “Shah Rukh sir knows my name today, and I only want to hug Aryan because of that,” she says.

The Ba***ds of Bollywood, directed by Aryan Khan, also stars Sahher Bambba, Bobby Deol, Mona Singh, Raghav Juyal, and Manoj Pahwa. It is streaming on Netflix.

NHRC Demands Action Against Ranbir Kapoor, Makers Over Actor Vaping In Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds Of Bollywood

Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba***ds of Bollywood, premiered on Netflix on September 18 and is being massively loved by the industry as well as the normal public. The satirical action comedy drama features several cameos such as Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, SS Rajamouli and more. The show’s 21 celebrity cameos also includes stars like Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh also making appearances.

While the show is being loved, it is now making the headlines as the show’s finale episode features RK vaping during his brief appearance that included a punchy exchange with KJo. NHRC Demands Action Against Ranbir Kapoor Over The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’s Vaping Scene

In the 7th episode, Ranbir Kapoor is seen playing himself when Karan Johar introduces him to Anya Singh’s Sanya as his potential manager. RK is seen casually strolling into Johar’s office saying, “F*ck all jacket, Karan” to which the filmmaker replies “Oh, f*ck you too.” In the very next scene, he asks Anya’s character for a vape. This scene has now led to the NHRC demanding legal against Ranbir, Netflix and the show’s maker/producer, Gauri Khan.

As per a report, the National Human Rights Commission has asked the Mumbai Police to register a case against Ranbir Kapoor, the show’s producers – Gauri Khan and Netflix over the actor vaping/promoting e-cigarettes. For the unversed, vaping on-screen is a violation of the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act, 2019. According to the complaint filed by activist Vinay Joshi, Ranbir was shown vaping without a health warning or disclaimer, which he argued could influence young audiences and normalise banned substances.

The complaint further accused the show of spreading irresponsible content that undermines public health and law enforcement while glorifying illegal products. The NHRC has also issued notices to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to take immediate action against. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police Commissioner has reportedly also been asked to investigate the supply chains of e-cigarettes, and submit a report within two weeks.

Aryan Khan’s directorial venture, The Ba*ds of Bollywood, has made waves since its release on September 18. Featuring Lakshya Lalwani, Raghav Juyal, and Bobby Deol in central roles, the series has received acclaim for its dramatic storytelling and engaging storyline. Things take a dramatic and emotional turn in the finale, filled with twists that rework the tale’s center.

The climax starts with Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya Lalwani) being arrested following a fiery argument with experienced actor Ajay Talvar (Bobby Deol) during an awards ceremony. Soon, the actual motive of their altercation is revealed—Ajay got Aasmaan out of a Karan Johar movie. The astounding reality is a stun for Karishma Talvar (Sahher Bambba), Ajay’s daughter, and she goes on a spree of rebellion and gets confined within the house.

Once Aasmaan posts bail, he gets a call from Karishma who reveals how she feels for him. His best friend Parvez (Raghav Juyal) helps him sneak into the Talvar house and rescue her. There is a high-speed chase in a car with Ajay chasing them wildly. The three of them finally reach an old movie studio where a lawyer stands waiting to marry Aasmaan and Karishma.

Just prior to the ceremony, Ajay and Aasmaan’s mother, Neeta (Mona Singh), both arrive. In a dramatic confrontation, Neeta discloses that she had a past relationship with Ajay—making Aasmaan their son and Karishma his sister. She also confesses that she had asked Ajay to have Aasmaan taken off the film to keep the secret safe.

While this is going on, Freddy and Jalaj Saxena learn the truth and plan a blackmail plot. They impersonate Ajay and Neeta into a meeting, surreptitiously tape their session, and blackmail them with releasing it unless Ajay hires Aasmaan, Karishma, and Freddy in his next movie.

The climax leaves relationships broken and secrets out, leaving the way open for what lies ahead.

During the launch event of the show, Shah Rukh had noted his initial thoughts about it and Aryan’s approach. “When Aryan told me he was going to make a show on Bollywood, that it would be raw, edgy, and would have some madness to it,” he said. “I thought, ‘Is he going to share the CCTV footage of Mannat on YouTube?'” Shah Rukh Khan added.

“If I’m being honest, it took me a while to really catch on and catch the tone of the show. Once I did, I was completely drawn in, and honestly, I’m really, really happy about it.”

The Ba***ds of Bollywoog getting rave reviews

Aryan’s debut series has sparked widespread conversation since its release, both for its bold subject matter and its unconventional storytelling.
