How Long Have Amanda Batula & West Wilson Been Together? – Hollywood Life

Summer House co-stars Amanda Batula and West Wilson finally confirmed their relationship after dating rumors circulated online for weeks. The Bravo stars wrote a joint public statement on March 31, 2026, acknowledging that they “never” intended to “purposely hide anything,” but “this is still very new” to them. So, how long have they been dating?

Here’s everything we know so far about Amanda and West’s relationship.

Why Did Amanda Batula & Kyle Cooke Break Up?

As Summer House fans recall, Amanda and her estranged husband, Kyle Cooke, announced their separation in January 2026 — two months before she and West went public with their “very new” relationship.

Amanda and Kyle said they “mutually and amicably decided” to break up in a joint public statement they shared to their Instagram Stories in January 2026.

“After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple,” the now-former couple wrote at the time. “We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing.”

Kyle and Amanda added, “It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we’ve always tried to be open and honest about our relationship, but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter.”

Although Kyle had admittedly cheated on Amanda in the past, they did not cite infidelity as the reason behind their split.

Just a few weeks later, Kyle appeared on Watch What Happens Live and was asked about the rumors between Amanda and West. Kyle said he believed the speculation was “outrageous,” and he thought there was no “merit” to the rumors.

“It would certainly catch me by surprise and feel a little reckless,” he admitted. “I think Ciara [Miller] would probably have something to say.”

When Did West Wilson & Ciara Miller Date?

West and Ciara briefly dated in 2023 when he joined Summer House, and they broke up by December of that year. They never explained why they split, but West was open about his commitment struggles on the show.

Amanda and West said in their joint March 2026 statement that their relationship is “very new,” and their connection had “developed recently.” So, the exact timeline of their romance is still unclear, but Amanda and West were friends before falling for each other.

“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity,” the newfound couple wrote in their joint Instagram Stories statement. “It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we need a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”

The pair added that they’ve “shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected.” They also emphasized that their “connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”

“As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling,” Amanda and West continued. “We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”

Wilmer Valderrama Welcomes Baby No. 2 with Fiancée Amanda Pacheco

Wilmer Valderrama had a groovy night out with his family.

Indeed, the That ‘70s Show alum attended the Los Angeles premiere of Zootopia 2 Nov. 13 alongside his fiancée Amanda Pacheco and their 4-year-old daughter Nakano Oceana, marking the first time the family has ever appeared together on a red carpet.

For the outing, Wilmer sported a gray suit over a powder blue button-down shirt while holding his daughter’s hand. For her part, Nakano donned a pair of bunny ears that perfectly matched her frilly pink dress and sparkly pink shoes.

Alongside the father-daughter duo, Amanda—who got engaged to Wilmer in January 2020—wore a blush pink dress emblazoned with matching flowers.

While the family’s red carpet date night was a momentous milestone for the crew, it also marked the first event Amanda has attended with Wilmer since giving birth to their son Wolf Monte in July. However, the Zootopia 2 actor has given a peek into how Nakano has been adjusting to being a big sister.

A thriller starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried sounds like a dream, and it has come true! The A-list actresses will lead Lionsgate’s movie The Housemaid. The Euphoria star will play the role of Millie, and the Dropout alum will play the character Nina.

Hollywood Life has rounded up everything you need to know about Amanda and Sydney’s new movie, The Housemaid.

What Is ‘The Housemaid’ About?

The Housemaid follows a struggling young woman named Millie, who gets a fresh start by working as a housemaid for wealthy couple Nina and Andrew. Per the film’s logline, “Millie soon learns the family’s secrets are far more dangerous than her own.” The movie is based on the bestselling book of the same name.

Lionsgate Motion Picture Group co-president Erin Westerman released a statement to Deadline about the project, which read, “Part of the fun of the book was imagining the cast while we read it, and Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried are perfect for Millie and Nina – they’re both mysterious, nuanced, and incredibly skilled at becoming characters who don’t reveal everything right away. We’re thrilled to team them with [director] Paul Feig, who we worked with on A Simple Favor and its upcoming sequel and has a proven track record of developing stories with dynamic female leads.”

“A place for everything and everything in its place.” Welcome to the New World! Searchlight Pictures has unveiled the first teaser trailer for the sensational new film titled The Testament of Ann Lee, the next wondrous creation from The Brutalist filmmakers. This premiered at the 2025 Venice Film Festival (my review calling it a “Cinematic Revelation”) and it’s one of the best films of 2025. Searchlight picked it up and will be releasing it just in time for the awards season – in theaters on Christmas Day, with a wider expansion throughout January & February. Based on an entirely true story. British born Ann Lee, founding leader of the Shaker Movement, is proclaimed as female Christ by her followers. The film shows her establishment of a utopian society in America and the Shakers’ worship through song and dance. Featuring jaw-dropping choreography by Celia Rowlson-Hall (Vox Lux) and original songs & score by Academy Award winner Daniel Blumberg. This mesmerizing film stars Amanda Seyfried as Ann Lee, Thomasin Mckenzie, Lewis Pullman, Tim Blake Nelson, Christopher Abbott, Stacy Martin, Matthew Beard, Scott Handy, Viola Prettejohn, Jamie Bogyo, David Cale. I am a huge fan of this film – I think it’s one of the most magnificent and exciting and unique films of this year and a must watch on the big screen. Take a look.

Here’s the first teaser trailer for Mona Fastvold’s film The Testament of Ann Lee, direct from YouTube:

From award-winning director Mona Fastvold comes the extraordinary true legend of Ann Lee, founder of the devotional sect known as the Shakers. Amanda Seyfried stars as the Shaker’s irrepressible leader, who preached gender and social equality and was revered by her followers. The Testament of Ann Lee captures the ecstasy & agony of her quest to build a utopia, featuring more than a dozen traditional Shaker hymns reimagined as rapturous movements. The Testament of Ann Lee is directed by acclaimed Norwegian writer / filmmaker Mona Fastvold, director of the films The Sleepwalker and The World to Come previously, plus the series “The Crowded Room” and “Long Bright River” recently. The screenplay is by husband-wife duo Mona Fastvold & Brady Corbet (also The Brutalist). Produced by Andrew Morrison, Joshua Horsfield, Viktória Petrányi, Mona Fastvold, Brady Corbet, Gregory Jankilevitsch, Klaudia Śmieja-Rostworowska, Lillian LaSalle, Mark Lampert. This initially premiered at the 2025 Venice Film Festival (read our review). Amanda Barrie believes Tony Warren would be “delighted” with Corrie’s LGBTQ+ representation

by jummy84 November 7, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s been 23 years since Coronation Street icon Amanda Barrie last put pen to paper, in a tell-all autobiography that disclosed her sexuality publicly for the first time.

It was something she feared would bring an end to her 15 year stint as Jim’s Café owner Alma Sedgewick, and part of the reason she chose to leave the cobbles behind was to live authentically.

Following the release of her latest book, ‘I’m Still Here – My 90 Years’ – which has been ghost-written by wife Hilary Bonner – Barrie speaks to RadioTimes.com about the struggle she faced while working on the ITV soap, and how the changing face of Weatherfield would “delight” creator Tony Warren.

“In 2000, I gave my notice and said: ‘Kill me!’”, she explains.

Barrie left the cobbles in 2001. Mirrorpix/Getty Images

“I didn’t want to go back into it. If I was going, I was going. Part of it was that I was a little bit tired of living that life, and not being totally honest with people.

“I found it rather difficult. I was always honest [to friends and family] about being with my husband Robin and then later with Hilary, but I only tasted that side of things in Corrie. I’d have been written out.”

It’s something that Amanda now finds “ironic”, given the show champions diversity both on and off screen.

“I used to say: ‘It’s not catching you know!’, but after I left, I think it sort of is. There’s one in every house down the street.

“It should be called Canal Street (after Manchester’s gay village), because you can’t move for them! So it is catching.”

Prior to becoming a household name and being projected into the living rooms of millions across the country each night, Amanda had an extensive stage career – first pushed into the limelight by her mother at the age of three. A Manchester girl, she formed an early friendship with Tony Warren, both represented by the same agent.

“We were young and ridiculous and he’d come and destroy auditions by saying he could dance and sing – which he couldn’t! He was told off all the time,” she laughs.

“We kept in touch and went for a meal one night in what was a very posh place in Manchester – the French restaurant at The Midland. He asked me if I wanted to go and look at The Street.

“We stood hand in hand on a moonlit night, looking at Coronation Street. Tony said: ‘It’s magic, isn’t it.’ It was a privilege to be stood there with him.

“Tony just so happened to be a trifle gay! Just a tiny, tiny bit. He was the campest of the camp and will be delighted to know the way the street is going the way it is!”

Before her initial early ’80s guest stint in Corrie, she enjoyed a string of television and film roles – including alongside Sid James as last Pharaoh of Egypt Cleopatra in 1964 comedy Carry On Cleo.

But for Amanda’s mother, nothing could quite beat the dizzy heights that the Rovers Return could offer.

“I was only in it for a bit and she was so thrilled. With Corrie, I’d made it! If I’d won an Oscar she wouldn’t have been so pleased.

“She used to ring up [in an accent] saying, ‘Amanda Barrie is the most wonderful thing to happen to your show, you should keep her.’ Then I got a phone call from [producer] Bill Podmore asking me to stop her calling the production office.

“I didn’t come back into it fully until after she had died. She must’ve gone straight up there, knocked on the door and demanded a chat with the producer of Coronation Street!”

The next 12 years would see Alma marry factory owner Mike Baldwin (Johnny Briggs), be driven into the canal by Don Brennan (Geoff Hinsliff), and eventually succumb to a cervical cancer diagnosis.

“When I was doing it, there was so many inaccuracies about the medical side of things,” she reveals.

“I’ve never had any bad fan mail. It had been put out that I was ‘thrilled to be playing a cancer victim’, and of course I hadn’t said that. This man wrote to me and said, ‘I’m glad you’re thrilled to be playing a cancer victim, my wife has cancer and by the time your story goes out she’ll be dead.’

Barrie’s wife has ghost-written her new autobiography. Amanda Barrie

“I started to get my back up. It was the first and only time I ever did it in my career – I rang up Hilary, as someone I could trust to leak my story. I had to disconnect myself from the writing of the storyline because I didn’t agree with the way it was being done. Hilary did it for me and we’ve been together ever since!”

A recurring guest role in sun-soaked sitcom Benidorm and a residence in the Big Brother house would follow, returning to the stage as part of a Coronation Street live show earlier this year.

“If they do it again, I hope they ask me. The audience were so receptive all the way through.

“I’ve been very lucky, I’ve done a lot of good work in the West End with very good people, but you do Carry On Cleo and Coronation Street and you’re not forgotten.”

Amanda Barrie and wife Hilary Bonner will appear at St Andrew’s Book Festival to discuss their book on Saturday 29th November.

Grace Van Patten Dives Into Amanda Knox Finale, Teases ‘Tell Me Lies’

by jummy84 October 3, 2025
written by jummy84

[This story contains spoilers from the season finale of The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, “Libertá.”]

The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox intentionally kept the camera pointed away from the person who is heard in the Hulu miniseries’ final scene. After eight episodes of a dramatic retelling of Amanda Knox’s harrowing legal journey to freedom, the final two episodes followed Knox, played by Grace Van Patten, as she tried to reclaim her life following her murder conviction being overturned on appeal and regaining her freedom after years spent in prison and in the courts. Part of that journey was Knox traveling back to Italy to confront her former prosecutor, Giuliano Mignini (which happened in real life), but the series stops short of confirming that it is Mignini who steps into the confessional booth to end the series; the show leaves the person’s identity a mystery, and ends before that person speaks.

“I’m so obsessed with that ending. I think it’s so smart,” Van Patten tells The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s so common that shows and movies are wrapped up in a bow for the audience, and the fact that this gives space for an interpretation, I think, is so smart. I am curious to hear what people think: Who that is, what are they about to confess?” She adds, “Everything’s out in the open now. Amanda’s side is out in the open.”

Below, Van Patten dives into her process to play Knox — her first role embodying a real person — to explain how her firm belief in her innocence brought a newfound depth to the series, and shares set stories of her relationship with Knox herself. She also teases her other Hulu series Tell Me Lies, which just wrapped production on its highly anticipated third season: “Buckle up,” she says. “Buckle. Up.”

***

Where were you in Tell Me Lies world when this show about Amanda Knox first came to you?

I was in between seasons two and three. I had first heard about it while we were filming, and I knew it was going to be a Hulu show, and I was like, “Does that mean maybe I could be considered?” But then I didn’t hear anything about it for months and months, and completely forgot about it until I saw that Amanda Knox had started following me on Instagram. That’s when my stomach dropped, and I reached out to my agents right away like, “What does this mean?!” That’s when the process began.

Did the timing line up with scheduling so you could film both series?

It worked out perfectly. It was a couple of months after we wrapped season two [of Tell Me Lies] when I found out about Amanda, so it was: go, go, go. I left for Italy two months later. Then, when I wrapped, I had about two and a half weeks and went right into Tell Me Lies, and we just finished filming a few days ago. So now I’m a free woman!

Tell me everything you just filmed.

You don’t want to know. It’s scary. For different reasons, both of these shows are terrifying!

What was that adjustment like, to go back into Tell Me Lies mode two weeks after absorbing yourself in the world of Amanda Knox?

I was really nervous at first. Since I’ve started Tell Me Lies, it’s only been Tell Me Lies. I haven’t had to go from another character to Lucy, so I didn’t know what to expect. But that’s the beauty of doing something for three seasons, which I didn’t know, but it’s just kind of in your body more and something you can switch on as opposed to having to find every time and every season. Lucy, unfortunately, is in my body! So it was more about igniting her, as opposed to figuring out who this person is again.

When it came to figuring out Amanda, from what I’ve read, you had an awareness but were not the expert that I imagine you are now. Would you say you had an opinion about her innocence or guilt going in?

I remember it being controversial. I know people felt very strongly about if she was innocent or if she was guilty, and there were both existing opinions. But I didn’t have one. I just didn’t know. And then, as soon as I started doing research, I gathered a very factual opinion, which is: No, this girl did not do this. And that it’s a way deeper and more complicated story than what I realized, and I think what people realize. Doing that research made me even more motivated to help tell her side of the story.

At what point in that research process did you then get to meet Amanda and have the choice to collaborate closely or keep some distance? How did you approach that relationship?

I was figuring it out as I went along. I had no plan. I had never played a real person before, so everything was new to me. I didn’t know how involved she wanted to be. The first time I met her was really discovering all of these things; discovering that she does want to be involved and that she is willing to speak to me, and that was so reassuring. The fact that she was so open and vulnerable with me and I felt like I could ask her a million questions and she was willing to give me the answers. I felt so thankful that I could use her, as opposed to guess. I had two months before we went to go shoot, so that was filled with speaking to her and learning Italian as much as I could.

I was going to ask if you had spoken any Italian before the show.

No. None. That was the main skill I had to work on. Those two months were definitely crammed with talking to her, and learning Italian and doing as much research as I possibly could.

You read her book, so you had read her perspective before doing the show, but as you were going through the filming process and asking questions, was there anything that stood out to you as a misconception or something the public didn’t know?

What’s crazy is that the whole thing was a misconception. Learning the details were shocking, like the amount of the lack of evidence. It’s not like there was a little bit of evidence — there was no evidence, which is crazy that two people are being accused of murder with zero evidence. But I would say the most surprising thing and the most beautiful thing I learned was who Amanda was as a person who went through this thing, and how still, to this day, after going through something so horrible and tragic, she has maintained positivity and hope and compassion for people. I could imagine that after going through something like that it could be very easy to slip into a life filled with a lot of resentment and anger, and she did not let that defeat her. She really is such a strong woman. I’m really inspired by her mentality.

Showrunner K.J. Steinberg said the show could have ended at episode six, but that going beyond the verdict and following Amanda home was always part of the plan. Why did you think it was key to tell that after story, especially with these final two episodes?

It’s so important to see her readapt to normal life. She was still only 24, and so to watch the discomfort of that reentry and figure out how to navigate real life again… I know I’ve never seen that play out in a show. That was so fascinating to me to talk to her about and read in the scripts. The build of watching Amanda decide how to regain control of her life — whether that’s writing the book or writing that first letter to her prosecutor, and how this whole show up to this point is leading up to her regaining control of a life that has been completely out of her control. It gives it a hopeful end. It shows a continuation of an existing person who actually went through this, and that that’s not the story — the story is who she is now. That’s what I hope people take away from it.

With Amanda co-writing the last episode, “Libertá,” viewers get a lot of insight into her via her inner monologue in your finale scenes. What was that experience like, and was she on set for any of that final episode?

She was. She was there the last two or so weeks of filming, so she was there with the big Mignini scene at the end, which was super emotional and shot over two or three days. It was a scene we all really wanted to get right. It’s a very long, complex scene with so much going on between two people. So that one was tedious and emotional, and the fact that she was there for that made me feel very emotional doing it.

Were there any big questions you had for her when making the finale?

Any time she gave me validation that I was portraying her emotions authentically meant the world to me. She said that a few times throughout, and it made me feel so good that I was able to give her that. That was my main goal through all of this — to help her feel understood and for people to hopefully, by watching this, understand her more. To feel seen by her was really flattering and such an honor for me.

The final words from Amanda in the show are that there will be some people who will believe her and think she’s innocent, and some who still won’t. Do you feel Amanda has an acceptance that even after you release this show and put it all out there that there might still be people who think she’s guilty?

I don’t want to speak for her, but I do know from getting to know Amanda that she’s very confident in who she is, and has never strayed away from who she is, which unfortunately, in the time of her being accused for murder, was used against her. But she is so true to who she is, and I am so inspired by that. Making this show, and having a platform to help somebody tell their story, was so meaningful to me. But I’m sure this helped her. Everything’s out in the open now. Her side is out in the open. So knowing her, she’s approaching it with positivity and acceptance.

Have you been following along with the viewer response and engaging on social media?

No. It’s probably partly a defense mechanism! But what’s helped is that I’ve been shooting Tell Me Lies as the show has been coming out, so it’s been a nice distraction of not reading things. It’s the first thing I’ve ever been a part of where I’m just so proud of what we did. Not even necessarily the outcome; it’s such a great show. But I’m so proud of the actual product and of everyone who came together to make this, and the reason we all made this. So I’m kind of with Amanda where people can hate it or love it, but I feel like we did something really important and good. There’s less weight to the response because of that.

In the final scene of the series, we don’t see who has arrived to confess. We only hear them breathe and see that it’s someone the priest recognizes. Do you all want people to make their own opinions about who’s in that confessional booth?

I’m so obsessed with that ending. I think it’s so smart. It’s so common that shows and movies are wrapped up in a bow for the audience. And the fact that this gives space for an interpretation, I think, is just so smart. I am curious to hear what people think: Who that is, what are they about to confess? I’m curious for that reaction.

What do you hope people take away from that final scene?

I hope that through watching this show, they really see who Amanda is, and can gather and form an opinion based on understanding her more and based on the facts. I really think it’s a story about this young girl regaining control of her life and never giving up, and being extremely resilient through it all and not letting a bad thing define and destroy her. That’s really inspiring to anybody, no matter what scale of tragedy you’ve gone through, or trauma. You can take that and use that mentality through any aspect of your life. I think that’s so beautiful.

This story also brings both Raffaele Sollecito and Meredith Kercher into the forefront. KJ has called them both the “oft-forgotten” victims in this story. What was it like to be a part of getting their stories out?

There is no doubt that this story involves so much pain and so much tragedy from multiple people and families, and that’s why we approached it with as much sensitivity as possible. I hope people see this was a tragic story on so many different levels, and that it is not one person’s story. It’s, unfortunately, the pain and tragedy of a lot of people involved.

What was it like working with Monica Lewinsky [who is a producer] on this project, and how did she help steer what you all hope to accomplish?

I look up to her so much. I think she’s so extremely smart and cool, and what she’s doing with her life, reclaiming her own story in her own way, is so inspiring. The team of Amanda and Monica is so badass. Honestly, just being able to talk to Monica about not only this show but her life and life in general, I learned so much from every conversation.

Looking ahead to what’s next for you, what is the most non-spoiler tease you can share about season three of Tell Me Lies?

Buckle up. (Laughs.) Buckle. Up. I mean, it’s absolute chaos in the purest form, with everybody. People can get excited about the drama for every character — everyone’s going through it.

On September 30 a court in Italy will, for the third time, begin hearing evidence in the case against American student Amanda Knox and her Italian former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, both accused of the murder of British student Meredith Kercher in Perugia in November 2007. In March, Italy's supreme court ordered a re-trial for both - this time in Florence - following the first two trials in Perugia that were marked by controversy. An appeal court in 2011 acquitted both, overturning 2009 convictions by a lower court. In an exclusive interview Knox, now aged 26, explains describes her experiences and explains why she will not be returning to face another protracted series of hearings.

Meredith Kercher was a 21-year-old British college student living in Perugia, Italy, until her life was brutally cut short in 2007. She was murdered and found dead in her Italian home, where she lived with former roommate Amanda Knox. Knox and her boyfriend at the time, Raffaele Sollecito, were wrongfully convicted of killing Kercher, stirring a global media frenzy against the then-20-year-old Knox. Now that Hulu’s The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox is out, many are still asking the same question: who killed Kercher?

Below, Hollywood Life has compiled the details from Kercher’s murder case.

Who Was Meredith Kercher?

Kercher was a student at the University of Leeds studying European politics and Italian. She reportedly wanted to work for the European Union or as a journalist in her future.

Before going to Perugia, Kercher appeared in Kristian Leontiou‘s “Some Say” music video in 2004. Students reportedly described Kercher as outgoing and caring.

Were Meredith Kercher & Amanda Knox Friends?

Kercher and Knox were roommates at their Perugia home, and they seemed to have an amicable co-living friendship. The two attended the EuroChocolate festival in October 2007, just weeks before Kercher was murdered, and together, the roommates attended a classical music concert. This is where Knox met her boyfriend, Sollecito, who was 23 years old at the time.

What Was Amanda Knox Accused of?

Knox was accused and convicted of murder, defamation, staging a break-in and sexual violence in the murder of Kercher. Prosecutors alleged that Knox attacked and killed Kerche and that Sollecito and then-20-year-old Rudy Guede sexually assaulted Kercher.

Guede is the only person who was definitively convicted of being involved in Kercher’s murder, while Knox and Sollecito were found not guilty of their convictions in 2011 and formally acquitted of killing Kercher in 2015.

Who Killed Meredith Kercher?

Guede is the only person that has been definitely convicted of killing Kercher. His blood-stained fingerprints were found at the crime scene. Guede, who had lived in Italy since childhood, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for Kercher’s murder in 2008. His prison sentence was reduced on appeal, then Guede was released early in 2021 for good behavior.

Where Is Rudy Guede Now?

Guede was released from prison in 2021. However, in 2023, he was accused of sexual assault and violence by a former girlfriend, whose identity has not been disclosed. They dated while Guede was in prison, and they broke up in 2023, when she pressed charges against him.

As of 2025, Guede is expected to stand trial sometime at the end of the year, according to CNN.

If you or anyone you know has been sexually abused, call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673). A trained staff member will provide confidential, judgment-free support as well as local resources to assist in healing, recovering and more.

Grace Van Patten, who broke out in Hulu’s Tell Me Lies, has stepped into one of her most high-profile roles yet. She stars as Amanda Knox—the exoneree and author wrongfully convicted of murdering her roommate Meredith Kercher in Italy in 2007—in Hulu’s The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox.

Below, learn all about Grace, as Hollywood Life rounded up five facts about her acting career and background.

Grace Has Maintained a Long-Running Relationship With Hulu

Grace took on her breakout television role as Lucy Albright in Hulu’s Tell Me Lies, opposite Jackson White’s Stephen DeMarco. The series explores their toxic, on-and-off relationship over the course of eight years, beginning when they first meet at Baird University. Cast in the lead when the show was announced in August 2021, Grace brought Carola Lovering’s 2018 bestselling novel to life, with actress Emma Roberts serving as a producer. The performance cemented Grace as one of Hulu’s brightest rising stars.

Before Tell Me Lies, Grace also appeared in another high-profile Hulu project, the star-studded miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers, alongside Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy, Regina Hall, and Michael Shannon. She played Zoe Marconi, a young woman grieving the loss of her twin brother while attending a 10-day wellness retreat with her parents.

Reflecting on the experience of filming in Australia, Grace told Elle in September 2021, “It’s the most beautiful place I have ever been to. It felt very real, being thrown into that environment. We had a kickoff dinner with the whole cast, and everyone was so great — there’s no shortage of humor [in that group], and it always helped.”

Grace’s First Role Was in ‘The Sopranos’

Grace was only 8 years old when she appeared in two episodes of The Sopranos, marking her first on-screen role. She got the job thanks to her dad Timothy Van Patten, who directed both episodes. Grace played Ally Pontecorvo, the daughter of gangster Eugene Pontecorvo (Robert Funaro).

Grace Leads Hulu’s ‘The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox’

This is perhaps one of Grace’s most difficult roles. Playing the real-life Amanda included filming violent and harrowing scenes from the author’s interrogations, trial and imprisonment in Italy.

“I was able to go to those places because of how deeply open Amanda was and how deeply vulnerable she was with me,” Van Patten told The New York Times in August 2025.

Grace Was Romantically Linked to Nat Wolff

Grace started dating The Naked Brothers Band star Nat Wolff sometime in 2017. The pair were seen vacationing in Ischia, Italy in July 2019. The following summer, Nat posted a sweet Instagram tribute to Grace in honor of their anniversary. The post featured a photo of the couple kissing in the pool. It’s unclear if Grace and Nat are still together.

Grace Comes From a Famous Family

Grace has several family members with ties to Hollywood. Her dad Tim Van Patten is a famous director who worked on hit shows like The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, Sex and the City, and Game of Thrones. Her uncle was actor and comedian Dick Van Patten, who died in 2015. Grace’s aunt is film and stage actress Joyce Van Patten, 88. Grace also has two famous cousins: actress Talia Balsam, 63, and former pro tennis player Vincent Van Patten, 64.

Amanda Knox was thrust into the public eye after her wrongful conviction in the 2007 murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy. At 20 years old, Knox was imprisoned after Italian law enforcement accused her and Knox’s boyfriend at the time, Raffaele Sollecito, of the murder. They were subjected to hostile media coverage shortly thereafter. Since their 2015 acquittal, Knox has shared her full story with the public.

Amid the promotion of Hulu’s 2025 series The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, Knox discussed her decision to work alongside Monica Lewinsky in developing the miniseries.

“[Monica] had a lot of advice about reclaiming your voice and your narrative,” Knox told The Hollywood Reporter in a joint August 2025 interview with Lewinsky. “That ended up being a turning point for me,” she added.

As for the “hardest thing” about executive producing the show, Knox said it was “conveying what it feels like to be behind a closed door at the mercy of authority figures.” She added, “There’s resistance to acknowledging the depth of that trauma. The dynamics aren’t as clear cut as we see on TV shows, this cartoonish interaction. It’s way more complicated and nuanced.”

Below, learn what Knox is doing now and more about her case that gripped the entire world in the early 2000s.

Italian prosecutors accused Knox of slitting Kercher’s throat while Sollecito and a man named Rudy Guede participated.

In 2011, Knox and Sollecito were found not guilty of Kercher’s murder after DNA evidence was revisited. During their ultimate appeal, Knox and Sollecito were formally acquitted by an Italian court in 2015.

How Long Was Amanda Knox in Prison?

Knox was in prison for four years after being wrongfully convicted of Kercher’s murder.

In 2016, Knox participated in Netflix’s documentary, titled Amanda Knox. Three years later, the activist returned to Italy to serve as the keynote speaker at a criminal justice conference by the Italy Innocence Project.

Months before Hulu’s 2025 miniseries The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox was announced, Knox released her second memoir, Free.

Where Is Raffaele Sollecito Now?

Watch Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried unravel each other’s secrets in ‘The Housemaid’ trailer

The trailer for The Housemaid, starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, is out now – check it out below.

The Paul Feig-directed psychological thriller is set for release on December 26 and is based on the 2022 novel of the same name by Freida McFadden. Sweeney plays Millie Calloway, a housemaid for a wealthy family headed by Andrew and Nina Winchester, played by Brandon Sklenar and Amanda Seyfried.

The trailer, shared by Lionsgate yesterday (September 16), begins with Millie being greeted by Nina as she arrives for an interview and being shown her room as an unsettling version of Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Please Please Please’ plays, interspersed with an ominous scene of someone banging on a wooden door.

As Millie settles into her role with the Winchesters, the trailer takes a darker turn as she sees behind their image as the perfect family, with a series of twists in store for the housemaid. Millie is offered a lock for her door and finds a cabinet full of medicine, while we see police at the home, a disturbing dollhouse, and Nina screaming in her car.

The official synopsis reads: “The film plunges audiences into a twisted world where perfection is an illusion, and nothing is as it seems. Trying to escape her past, Millie accepts a job as a live-in housemaid for the wealthy Nina and Andrew Winchester.

“But what begins as a dream job quickly unravels into something far more dangerous — a sexy, seductive game of secrets, scandal, and power. Behind the Winchesters’ closed doors lies a world of shocking twists that will leave you guessing until the very end.”

Sweeney said that she became a fan of the novel, explaining at CinemaCon (via Variety): “I could not put [the book] down. I ended up reading all three [books in the series] in one week. There’s characters that are flawed, and they are messy.”

Feig said earlier this year, “Tension and scares and comedy are so wrapped together. It was a dream come true.”

Rebecca Sonnenshine adapted the novel, with Feig telling People that it’s a “faithful interpretation”, though with “a good number of added surprises along the way.”

Meanwhile, an HBO executive has confirmed that teen drama Euphoria – in which Sweeney plays Cassie Howard – will officially be coming back for a third season next year.
