Genie Francis Shifts Into Protective Mama Bear Mode as Laura Puts Drew in His Place

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

What To Know

  • Genie Francis returned to General Hospital as Laura Webber Collins, delivering a standout performance by fiercely defending her grandson and confronting Congressman Drew Cain for his manipulative behavior.
  • Laura not only protected Danny and Rocco from Drew’s verbal attacks but also called out Drew’s inability to separate personal feelings from politics, showcasing her authoritative presence.
  • Francis displayed both strength and warmth, bonding with newcomer Ronnie Bard and earning Performer of the Week honors for her passionate and personable portrayal.

Genie Francis has been absent from our screens far too often as of late on General Hospital. Fortunately, that was rectified this week when the Daytime Emmy winner’s character, Laura Webber Collins, blasted morally-challenged Congressman Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) for his machinations.

We also saw a fun, softer side to Laura as she bonded with Port Charles’s latest newcomer, Ronnie Bard (Erika Slezak). For her performance that was both passionate and personable, TV Insider bestows Performer of the Week honors on Francis.

Congressman Cain is enjoying throwing his weight around wherever he can these days. Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Rocco (Finn Carr) were his latest targets after Drew discovered that Danny had violated the order keeping him from his sister, Scout (Cosette Abinante).

Francis’s Laura arrived just in time to not only put a halt to Drew’s verbal attack on the boys, but also to administer one of her own. “I beg your pardon,” Laura authoritatively informed Drew. “I believe you’re out of your depth, Congressman!”

Mathison has come to embrace his manipulative character and has gotten quite used to ordering people around. Laura, however, has delt with villains in Port Charles for decades, from conniving Bobbie Spencer (the late Jacklyn Zeman), in her conniving nursing school days, to controlling matriarch Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). The mayor of Port Charles doesn’t let anyone push her around. She’s not about to let anyone intimidate her grandson, Rocco, either.

ABC

“When did you become so petty and vindictive?” Laura almost rhetorically asked Drew. She wasn’t interested in hearing anything he had to say in terms of defending his character, or lack thereof.

After politely asking Danny and Rocco to leave, Laura’s strength only seemed to grow. “I would appreciate it if you would stop characterizing Danny as a ‘bad influence,’” Laura scolded Drew.

Soaps are famous for their two-person scenes, but Francis was sharing the screen with daytime legend Slezak in this confrontation with Drew. We couldn’t help but notice Laura’s bemused reactions as Ronnie caught on to Drew’s true nature.

When Drew failed to win Ronnie over to his side, he fell back on gunning for Scout’s brother. “Oh, please!” Laura remarked as she called out the Congressman for not being able to separate his personal feelings from politics.

Francis’s Laura has a beautiful smile, and she lit up like a Christmas tree when she heard Ronnie say she didn’t much like Drew.

After Drew was shown the door to the house that it looks like he won’t be buying, Laura turned to Ronnie and said, “As the mayor of this town, may I be the first to officially welcome you to Port Charles.”

In an effort to bond with Ronnie, Laura recounted a tea party she once helped the late Lila (Anna Lee) throw at the Quartermaine house when she was employed by her husband, Edward (David Lewis). There was a nice shoutout from Laura to her mother (Lesley, Denise Alexander) when she recounted that Alan (Stuart Damon) and Monica got into a fight that day, which climaxed when Monica threw a teacup at her husband.

We can’t say we recall that particular bit from the show’s Golden Age, but all that matters is that Francis sold the incident as if it had actually occurred. That’s how good she is.

In an effort to shed a light on the sister Ronnie never fully knew, Laura explained that the Quartermaines argued for sport (they sure did) and that Monica was Edward’s favorite (also true).

If Ronnie ends up coming clean that she’s a big fraud and not really Monica’s sister, it may be because folks like Laura have welcomed her with such grace. Kudos to Francis for her terrific performance as Laura passionately defended her grandson and also showed she can befriend a total newcomer with genuine warmth.

The Beatles Biopics Add Anna Sawai, Mia McKenna-Bruce, Aimee Lou Wood

by jummy84 November 2, 2025

The women behind The Beatles have been revealed. Sony Pictures has announced four new cast additions to Sam Mendes’ four biopic films about The Beatles, confirming whom will portray the love interests for John, Paul, George, and Ringo.

Anna Sawai, best known for her breakout work in “Shogun,” is set to star as Yoko Ono. Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan, as previously reported, is playing Linda (Eastman) McCartney. Mia McKenna-Bruce, known for “How to Have Sex,” is playing Ringo’s partner Maureen (Cox) Starkey. And Aimee Lou Wood, a breakout from the most recent season of “The White Lotus,” is playing Pattie (Boyd) Harrison.

“Maureen, Linda, Yoko, and Pattie are four fascinating and unique figures in their own right — and I’m thrilled that we’ve managed to persuade four of the most talented women working in film today to join this amazing adventure,” Mendes said in a statement.

'Bugonia'

The four of them join a cast that also includes Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr.

While nearly all four of those women had been rumored to be among the cast for some time, Sony did give us a few more clues as to what other real-life characters might get some prominent roles in the films. The announcement says that actors portraying Cynthia Lennon, Brian Epstein, George Martin, Ravi Shankar, and other key roles will be forthcoming.

“The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event,” as it is officially titled for now, are being directed, written, and produced by Mendes through his Neal Street banner alongside Pippa Harris and Julie Pastor. Alexandra Derbyshire is also producing, and Sony Pictures is making the films in association with the band’s label Apple Corps.

Each of the four films will tell the perspective of a different member of the Fab Four, but any specific details about what periods in their lives are being explored and how much of The Beatles’ history will be seen on screen remains unclear. And in a daring gambit, all four films will be released the same month in April 2028, though specific release plans — like whether they will be one a week or all at once, and which film audiences should see first — are still murky.

Regardless, The Beatles films are expected to be the definitive biopic on The Beatles, with each member (or their estates) granting full life stories and music rights for a scripted film.

Maureen Cox was an early fan of The Beatles who met Ringo Starr at the Cavern Club in 1962. Their romance blossomed quickly, they married in 1965, and had three children together. Linda Eastman was a celebrated photographer when she met Paul McCartney in 1967. There was an instant attraction and McCartney later said, “The first time I saw her, I just knew.” John Lennon first met the Japanese artist Yoko Ono at a London exhibition of her work. Although Lennon was married at the time, he was immediately intrigued by her, and the two eventually became inseparable creative partners for the rest of his life. Pattie Boyd was a successful model when in 1964 she met George Harrison on the set of the Beatles movie “A Hard Day’s Night.” The two began dating and later married, with Boyd sharing Harrison’s growing interest in Eastern mysticism.

McKenna-Bruce is represented by 42 Management, CAA, and Luber Roklin. Ronan is repped by CAA. Sawai is repped by WME, 42, United Agents, and Chris Abramson. Wood is repped by CAA, Independent, and Sloane, Offer, Weber, Dern.

LaZona Pictures Secures Spain on ‘Chopin, Chopin!’ From Playtime

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

LaZona Pictures, the distribution label of Gonzalo Salazar-Simpson’s Madrid-based LaZona group, has acquired Spanish rights to lavish Polish biopic “Chopin, Chopin!” (“Chopin, a Sonata in Paris”), handled for international sales by Paris’ Playtime.

Michał Kwieciński’s $17.5 million budget biopic of Frédéric Chopin, produced by Poland’s Akson Studio (“Katyń,” “Warsaw 44”), stars Eryk Kulm (“Filip”) as the prodigious pianist-composer, with Lambert Wilson (“The Matrix Resurrections”) as King Louis-Philippe.

The 19th-century-set drama tracks Chopin’s arrival in Paris at the age of 21 and his rapid ascent as the city’s romantic idol, before illness refocuses his obsession on composition.

The film boasts high-end craft talent including cinematographer Michał Sobociński (“The New Look”), production designer Katarzyna Sobańska (“Cold War”) and writer Bartosz Janiszewski (“Wataha”).

Shot largely in France with roughly 80% of the dialogue in French, the feature squarely targets upscale audiences and classical-music aficionados while courting broader crossover play via its sweeping, baroque aesthetic.

Having produced since 2003 Spanish top hits such as Enrique Urbizu’s thriller “No Rest for the Wicked” and Emilio Martínez Lázaro’s comedy “Spanish Affair,” the highest-grossing Spanish film ever in Spain, in 2023 LaZona broadened its horizons launching a new film distribution operation, LaZona Pictures, led from 2024 by former Latido Films executive Óscar Alonso.

“For us ‘Chopin, Chopin!’ is the first true European ‘super-production’ on the slate — a statement of intent to keep growing, step by step, but also to take bolder swings at films with wider audience potential,”  Alonso said at Valladolid’s Seminci, where LaZona’s co-production “Subsuelo,” by Fernando Franco, world premiered as part of the festival’s main competition.

Positioning “Chopin, Chopin” as a “rock-star portrait of the Romantic era,” Alonso advances that the Spanish release, scheduled for next year’s first quarter, will activate partnerships with opera houses, conservatories and music schools to extend reach beyond core arthouse circuits.

LaZona Pictures has been ramping up since last year with a curated line of arthouse and crossover titles. With “Chopin Chopin,” the company has begun early conversations with platforms and broadcasters to complement a planned theatrical rollout.

“Chopin, Chopin” has already scored top-tier festival exposure and is lining up further key berths, underscoring its positioning as a prestige event title.

“It’s the kind of ambitious European cinema that doesn’t come along every year,” he said. “We’re confident it can resonate with classical-music lovers and a much wider audience drawn to grand, emotionally charged storytelling.”

Closing Film at Seville European Film Festival

The film will screen out of competition as the closing night gala title at the upcoming edition of the Seville European Film Festival, which runs Nov. 7-15.

One of LaZona’s biggest hits to date as an indie distributor has been “The Voice of Hind Rajab,” a Venice Silver Lion and San Sebastian Audience Award winner.

Co-distributed in Spain with Caramel Films, Tunisian Kaouther Ben Hania’s film, one of the year’s most celebrated international titles, also screened at Valladolid as part of the Constellations sidebar.

Dodgers Win 2025 World Series

Dodgers Win 2025 World Series

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

The Los Angeles Dodgers won their second World Series in a row Saturday, with Will Smith’s home run in the 11th inning the difference in a 5-4 victory in a wild Game 7 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. It makes them the first MLB team to repeat as champions in 25 years.

It was the ninth World Series title for the Dodgers franchise, but it wasn’t easy, having to stave off elimination with a win Friday and then coming from behind tonight – both on the road.

Miguel Rojas hit a ninth-inning home run with Toronto two outs from clinching that tied a game the Dodgers had trailed since the third inning after Toronto’s Bo Bichette’s three-run homer against starter Shohei Ohtani. Yoshinobu Yamamoto, the third starter coming in for relief after he won Game 6 the night before, then found the strength to hold off the Blue Jays who were looking for their first World Series win since 1993.

Yamomoto pitched a complete game in Game 2 and then six innings Friday to force tonight’s do-or-die game. After Smith’s homer, he got Alejandro Kirk to ground into a game-ending double play to stave off one final Jays rally, and he was named the World Series MVP as part of the post-game celebration on the infield of Toronto’s Rogers Centre.

Bichette’s three-run home run off Dodgers starter Ohtani — going on three days’ rest for only the second time in his career — in the third inning looked for a while to be enough for the Jays, who had been able to put together key hits all series to keep the Dodgers on the ropes.

But after the improbable game-clinching double play from Kiké Hernandez and Rojas to take Game 6, big defensive plays kept the Dodgers within striking distance tonight. In the ninth with the bases loaded with Blue Jays, Rojas fielded a grounder and got a force-out at home to save a run (the Jays would pull off the same feat the next inning). The Dodgers got out of the ninth when Andy Pages, a defensive replacement in center field that same inning, made an acrobatic catch of Ernie Clement’s deep drive that certainly would have won the game for Toronto, snagging the ball as he collided both with the wall and with Hernandez who was charging for it from left field.

The Dodgers, led by the remarkable feats of Ohtani, had been favored going into the best-of-7 series as defending champions and looking for their third World Series title since 2017. Toronto, which won back to back titles in 1992 and 1993, hadn’t won a postseason game since 2016.

Toronto, though, showed it was for real from the start, when they blew out the Dodgers in Game 1 11-4, then recovered to win a pair of games in L.A. after falling short in the record-tying 18-inning Game 3 that gave Los Angeles a 2-1 lead in the series.

SNL Hosts NYC Mayoral Debate With Miles Teller, Ramy Youssef, Shane Gillis

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Saturday Night Live kicked off its cold open with a mock New York City mayoral debate that was crashed by President Donald Trump.

Miles Teller, who served as the night’s host, portrayed candidate and former New York governor Andrew Cuomo. While introducing himself, Teller’s Cuomo introduced himself as a “born, bred New Yorker” who “knows this city like the back of a woman’s back.”

Special guest Ramy Youssef was next introduced as Zohran Mamdani who said he was “happy to be here, and I’m ready to spend the next hour hearing my opponents pronounce my name in ways you couldn’t begin to imagine.”

“And I know some of you are out there scared of the idea of a young socialist Muslim mayor,” he said, continuing, “So allow me to put you at ease by smiling after every answer in a way that physically hurts my face.”

Finally, Shane Gillis stepped into the role of Curtis Sliwa, which led them into the crux of the debate. The faux candidates answered various questions, including why they would “want the worst job in the world,” their go-to bagel orders and what they’d say to “undecided voters.”

Towards the end of their debate, James Austin Johnson’s Trump made his grand appearance when the candidates where asked what the “biggest problem” they’d have to tackle as mayor, where he joked that he might as well become the next mayor of New York.

“It’s me!” Johnson’s Trump exclaimed. “Yes, they can pretend this election is about housing and taxes, but we all know it’s about me, right? ‘Cause I’m gonna be very involved, very hands on. This guy knows about hands on, right, Cuomo?”

Johnson’s Trump even answered Kenan Thompson’s (who portrayed the debate moderator) question about their go-to bagel orders, which he said is a “Big Mac with a hole in the middle,” to which he went on to reference his tenure living in the Big Apple.

“And I may not live in New York anymore. Oh, but I’m always watching, lurking in the shadows, much like the late, great Phantom of the Opera,” he said. “Terrible what happened to him in terms of opera, with regard to being burned by chandelier. Perhaps I’ll add New York Mayor to my list of duties.

“Come on, open up your mind. Let your fantasies unwind in this darkness which you know. The darkness of the music of the night,” Johnson’s Trump sang to close out the cold open.

In the Eternity star’s opening monologue, he notably spoke about losing his home in the Los Angeles wildfires at the beginning of the year.

“A lot has happened since the last time that I hosted [SNL],” Teller said. “A few months ago, my wife and I lost our house in the Palisades fire. But don’t worry, seriously, do not worry, we’re doing great.”

“But that experience has made me incredibly grateful to have so many places that I can call home,” he added. “But based on what happened to the last place that I called home, I just want to say, there’s fire exits located there, there, there,” he said while pointing to differing spots in the studio.

Saturday night marked the second time Teller has served as an SNL host, where he was joined by Brandi Carlile as musical guest. His most recent appearance on the late night show was on Oct. 1, 2022, making it exactly three years and one month since his debut on the series.

Later in the night, Teller impersonated Jonathan and Drew Scott of the Property Brothers, in a pre-taped spoof that touched on the real-life demolition of the White House’s East Wing. There, they renovated the landmark and created a brand new ballroom.

“This week, we’re taking on our biggest challenge yet: building the new White House ballroom,” he said. “Donald and Melania moved into this house nine years ago. They were evicted for four years, but they moved back in. Donald has a strong eye for interior design.”

Teller’s Property Brothers took the audience around the White House in the bit, where a string of Halloween decorations put up by Melania Trump (played by Chloe Fineman) were shown. “Those are for Christmas,” Fineman’s Melania asserted.

They clarified if Trump had a budget for the renovation, to which he responded, between $350 million and infinity.”

“It will be ready just in time for my third term,” Johnson’s Trump said of the addition to the White House, to which Fineman’s Melania responsed, “That’s right! We want this to be our forever home.”

“Yes, because we’re not leaving,” Johnson’s Trump continued. “We’re going to be doing something called coup.”

The bit ended with Teller’s Property Brothers asking for their payment. “Aren’t you guys from Canada? Johnson’s Trump asked before calling in ICE to end the sketch.

The Top Gun: Maverick star was the fourth host of season 51. He’ll be followed by Nikki Glaser and Glen Powell as the next string of hosts in the next coming weeks. Sombr and Olivia Dean will join as musical guests on Nov. 8 and 15, respectively. Earlier this season, Bad Bunny, Amy Poehler and Sabrina Carpenter took turns as hosts.

More to come.

Florida Expects Production Surge with New Stage 32 Partnership

Florida Expects Production Surge with New Stage 32 Partnership

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

There’s a recurring theme in David Fincher’s 2020 film “Mank” about Los Angeles film workers fretting that the studio bosses are going to move Hollywood to Florida. That never happened, and certainly Florida’s paltry statewide tax incentives throughout the 2020s made that seem less likely than ever. However, there are signs that things could be changing, and quickly. Consider it a prelude to Florida’s version of the sudden massive film investment in New Jersey that Paramount and Netflix have carried out by building new studios there.

That level of investment for Florida is still quite some way off, but some tracks are being laid to make it more possible. IndieWire can exclusively announce that Stage 32, the world’s largest online entertainment education program, is partnering with Film Florida to launch a statewide below-the-line certification program. The idea is to begin creating a large, ready-to-work crew base in the state that can spring into action as film and TV productions ramp up.

'Bugonia'

The training will cover key roles, including line producing, location management, post production supervision, production accounting, being an assistant director, being a production assistant, being a production coordinator, and script supervising. In-person workshops will be included as well, and industry veterans leading both online and in-person courses include post-production producer Brad Carpenter (“The Diplomat,” “Fosse/Verdon”), post-production supervisor Leslie Coverse (“Babygirl”) Shalonda Ware (senior production finance manager at Paramount), DGA assistant director Korey Pollard (“SEAL Team”), and location manager Miranda Carnessal (“Barbie,” “Killers of the Flower Moon”).

Though a statewide incentive has been nonexistent for years in Florida, local jurisdictions have offered their own incentives. Across the state, in places like St. Pete/Clearwater, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Broward County, there is a cumulative total of over $30 million in tax incentives for productions, with some allowing up to $2 million in incentives for a single production.

In addition, IndieWire has heard rumbles about the Trump administration encouraging new statewide Florida production tax incentives that could go into effect in the future. There’s no such thing as film tariffs. Supporting film production through new statewide tax incentives, though? That could work.

Tampa Bay in particular has been a magnet for some time for Lifetime and Hallmark movie productions, as well as being one of the leading destinations for shooting commercials in the entire country. Car companies love that it only costs $2,000 to shut down a key toll freeway in Tampa when it isn’t rush hour as a way to really show off their vehicles on-camera. There’s also a growing DIY spirit, with a major indie TV production of Patrick D. Smith’s multi-generational Florida Western novel “A Land Remembered” planned for a 2026 production from “The School Duel” director Todd Wiseman Jr.

But the mini-renaissance of Florida-based filmmaking in the 2010s, with “Magic Mike” and the A24 trifecta of “Spring Breakers,” “Moonlight,” and “Zola” hasn’t continued this decade.

However, if these expanded incentives come through, the Stage 32 program could mean that there’s a ready-to-go crew base in Florida for when production does ramp up again. Local crew bases did indeed spring up around production hubs in New Mexico and Atlanta, and though New Mexico is still going strong, major studio productions have started leaving Georgia en masse. Disney’s MCU films always shot in Atlanta — now they’re in London, reflecting the unfavorable financial environment for films in the U.S. altogether. (On the other hand, production seems to keep ramping up in Texas, thanks to the Taylor Sheridan-motivated tax incentives there.)

Could New Jersey and Florida really pick up the slack for California and Georgia? At the very least, a trial program for Stage 32 in Florida has succeeded so far just in the Tampa Bay region, with the collaboration and support of Film Tampa Bay commissioner Tyler Martinolich, who’s done as much as anyone to bring filmmaking to the area. That program was focused on everything involved with being a production assistant: on-set protocols, paperwork, and collaboration. Those who completed the program were entered into Stage 32’s Certification Portal to be matched with relevant productions across the state and beyond.

“Film Florida is thrilled to partner with Stage 32 to bring world-class training to our members and elevate Florida’s film industry,” said John Lux, Executive Director of Film Florida. “By providing access to Stage 32’s certification program, we’re empowering our film commissions and organizations to build a robust, skilled workforce, starting with this exciting program in Tampa Bay.”

“Stage 32 is honored to collaborate with Film Florida to strengthen Florida’s production ecosystem,” said Amanda Toney, managing director of Stage 32. “After successfully training talent for over 50 film commissions worldwide, including an impactful program with St. Pete/Clearwater, we’re excited to launch this initiative in Tampa Bay and expand opportunities for below-the-line professionals across the state with Film Florida.”

Could New Jersey and Florida really be places where major film productions are taking place all the time? Time will tell.

‘SNL’ Weekend Update Jokes About Louvre Heist, Prince Andrew Losing Title

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Bowen Yang appeared as former U.S. Congressman George Santos during “Weekend Update” on “Saturday Night Live,” where he spoke with co-host Colin Jost about what he’s been up to following his prison release.

During the segment, Jost referenced the upcoming New York City marathon happening before reluctantly introducing Santos as “the world’s number one marathoner.”

“Can you believe I just finished the marathon?” Yang’s Santos said, to which Jost replied, “The marathon is tomorrow.”

“Yeah, well, it’s a record. I already won!” Yang’s Santos said.

In October, President Donald Trump commuted the prison sentence of Santos, who had been sentenced to over seven years for wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. Since his release, the disgraced ex-politician has embarked on a media comeback tour.

“I’m going on all these shows to tell the truth about what it’s like in prison,” Yang said as Santos.

“Well, wasn’t your prison only, like, minimum security?” Jost asked.

“That’s right, I was in jail with other white-collar criminals — even though I’m Black,” Yang’s Santos said.

“You’re not Black,” Jost told him.

“Are you accusing me of lying about my race, like Rachel Dolezal, that horrible woman who lied about being Black? Remember her?” Yang’s Santos asked. “‘Cause that was me.”

Later during their conversation, Yang’s Santos said that he’s rich now because he “just took a trip to the Louvre.” He then unzipped his top to reveal a large necklace.

“Did you steal that?” Jost asked.

“Stole it back, you mean,” Yang’s Santos replied. “Because it belonged to my ancestors — the Zales.”

Elsewhere during the “Weekend Update” segment, co-host Michael Che mentioned that King Charles had stripped his brother, Prince Andrew, of his royal title due to his connections to convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

“Prince Andrew has been stripped of his royal title of ‘Prince’ due to his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein, and Andrew says he can only become a prince again if he gets a kiss from a young princess,” Che joked.

The latest “Weekend Update” also poked fun at Trump’s White House bathroom model, Texas suing Tylenol over an alleged link to autism, and Japan’s new prime minister, Sanae Takaichi, announcing that she is nominating Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Responding to Takaichi’s nomination, Che quipped, “I can’t believe I get to say this, but thank God nobody listens to women.”

Miles Teller Spoofs ‘Property Brothers’ With Trump’s White House Reno

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Miles Teller pulled double-duty (in a way) by portraying twin brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott in a pre-taped Saturday Night Live sketch spoofing the Canadian reality TV series Property Brothers. This time, the two real estate property developers field their “biggest challenge yet” — the gargantuan task of having President Donald Trump (James Austin Johnson) as a client and being tasked with building the White House ballroom.

But as the siblings attempt to navigate Trump’s increasingly difficult and outlandish requests, they must also deal with the simmering tension and resentment they feel toward each other.

The two begin by touring the premises, noting ironically that Trump has a “strong eye for interior design,” which the GOP leader attributes to his affinity for gauche golden urns, which he puts “everywhere, like a hundred in every room.”

While complimenting Melania Trump’s (Chloe Fineman) Halloween decorations of dead trees, skeletons and other spooky fixtures, the First Lady responds sardonically, “Those are for Christmas.”

Other changes include Trump replacing a portrait of former POTUS FDR with a painting of himself as a soldier from Halo. Meanwhile, upcoming renovation requests include turning the Rose Garden grounds into what looks like “outdoor seating for an Olive Garden,” supplemented by a budget “between $350 million and infinity.”

As the two brothers recall with an uneasy laugh, when asking Trump if he needs a permit, he apparently laughed and told them: “I could build this ballroom with the bones of my enemies, and no one could stop me.”

For his inspiration, Trump points to a mood board that includes, among other images, photos of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Star Wars‘s powerful gangster Jabba the Hutt.

Other reno plans include installing an MMA ring for “two mentally ill guys just wailing on each other … we love bum fights,” Trump says.

After Trump responds to a text with a gif of the White House exploding, the brothers can commence with the East Wing demolition. However, due to the government shutdown, the duo had to “force Park Rangers and astronauts” to carry out the operation. After hitting a snag because all construction workers had been deported, Johnson’s Trump reflects, “I pulled up to the Home Depot parking lot and yelled, ‘Just give me the whites!’ I want the day laborers from Norway and Sweden, but, apparently, they don’t exist.”

“We want this to be our forever home,” Melania says after Trump says he’s preparing for a third term. He then adds, “Yes, because we’re not leaving. We’re gonna be doing something called ‘coup!’”

As the sketch concludes, the brothers ask for payment, at which point Trump responds with calling ICE on them, given that the sibling duo originates from Canada.
