Jack Osbourne Slams Roger Waters Over Black Sabbath, Ozzy Comments

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Don’t mess with the Osbournes. On Tuesday, Jack Osbourne had some charged words for Roger Waters after the Pink Floyd co-founder said in the press that he “never did” care about Black Sabbath and “couldn’t give a fuck” about Ozzy Osbourne.

“Hey Roger Waters, fuck you,” Jack wrote on Instagram. “How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become. The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bullshit in the press.”

“My father always thought you were a cunt,” he added, using the hashtag #fuckrogerwaters. “Thanks for proving him right.”

In a recent interview with The Independent Ink, Waters seemed to have some pointed words about Osbourne, and also Black Sabbath’s music. “Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him in his whatever state that he was in his whole life,” he said in the interview. “We’ll never know. The music, I have no idea. I couldn’t give a fuck.”

Waters added: “I don’t care about Black Sabbath, I never did. Have no interest in biting the heads of chickens or whatever they do. I couldn’t care less, you know.” (To be clear, the bat incident happened during Ozzy’s solo career, not while in Black Sabbath.)

Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22 at age 76 of a heart attack “out of hospital” and suffered from coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease. The certificate, filed by his daughter Aimee Osbourne in London, listed his occupation as “Songwriter, Performer and Rock Legend.”

Osbourne spoke highly of Pink Floyd throughout his life, and called “Money” one of his favorite rock songs in an interview with Rolling Stone in 2004. Meanwhile, Waters has seemingly always been a Black Sabbath hater, and reportedly gave a mean review of their debut song, “Evil Woman,” in 1970, according to Far Out Magazine.

Trending Stories

“Well, well, well… I’m speechless – well, almost…” Waters said at the time. “You keep thinking it’s going to start. You think that for the first minute, but then, if you are really perceptive, you realise it isn’t going to start, and that’s all there is.”

Jonas Brothers Tour Making Every Concert an Event: Pop Shop Podcast

Jonas Brothers are maximizing the news cycle around their 20th-anniversary Greetings From Your Hometown Tour, which launched less than a month ago but has generated dozens of headlines about surprise guests, unexpected reunions and two brother trios joining forces.

The latest big news from the tour came at Sunday’s stop in Dallas, where Fifth Harmony — Ally Brooke, Normani, Lauren Jauregui and Dinah Jane — performed together for the first time in seven years. The quartet performed “Worth It” and “Work From Home” for the lucky crowd, which was also treated to surprises from Kelsea Ballerini, The Plain White T’s and Ryan Cabrera that night. The tour kicked off in the JoBros’ native New Jersey, with Demi Lovato popping up Aug. 10 for a Camp Rock sing-along. Oh, and fellow brother trio Hanson showed up at the Virginia Beach show on Aug. 15 to perform “MMMBop” with the boys.

On the new Billboard Pop Shop Podcast, Katie & Keith are talking about all the ways artists are carving out special moments for fans at their shows — like Taylor Swift’s acoustic set on Eras Tour or Kelly Clarkson’s nightly Kellyoke cover in Las Vegas — and why it’s a win-win for everyone involved.

Also on the show, Stray Kids get their seventh No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 — the entirety of their charting efforts — as KARMA debuts atop the list. Meanwhile, Laufey, Deftones, Tyler, The Creator and BigXthaPlug all shake up the Billboard 200 top 10. Plus, on the Billboard Hot 100, as the KPop Demon Hunters hit “Golden” is No. 1 for a third week, Doja Cat’s new “Jealous Type” debuts in the top 40. And on the Pop Airplay chart, Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild” jumps to No. 1 — marking her sixth leader, and all have come in just one year and five months’ time. Has anyone else notched that many No. 1s that quickly?

The Billboard Pop Shop Podcast is your one-stop shop for all things pop on Billboard‘s weekly charts. You can always count on a lively discussion about the latest pop news, fun chart stats and stories, new music, and guest interviews with music stars and folks from the world of pop. Casual pop fans and chart junkies can hear Billboard‘s executive digital director, West Coast, Katie Atkinson and Billboard’s managing director, charts and data operations, Keith Caulfield every week on the podcast, which can be streamed on Billboard.com or downloaded in Apple Podcasts or your favorite podcast provider. Tim McGraw, Nickelback Make Field of Dreams Concert Heaven

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Field of Dreams is as emblematic of the state of Iowa as Grant Wood’s American Gothic painting. The film’s love letter to baseball delivered alongside a touching father and son reconciliation spawned the iconic exchange between Ray Liotta’s “Shoeless” Joe Jackson and Kevin Costner’s Ray Kinsella that still resonates with every proud Iowan: “Is this heaven?” “No, it’s Iowa.” The Dyersville, Iowa film site – where the baseball diamond and farmhouse still stand – attracts upwards of 100,000 annual visitors to the town of less than 5,000. It’s where cinematic history slides into home, capturing the nostalgia and tradition of baseball through little league games, “Ghost Player” reenactments, and even two MLB games (played in an adjacent field).

Over Labor Day Weekend, the film site, in cooperation with Dyersville and nearby Dubuque, brought U.S. Concert Agency’s festival experience to the small town, easily eclipsing all previous events with an estimated 33,000 concert attendees to see Tim McGraw on Saturday and Nickelback on Sunday. The all-day events were held in a former cornfield across from the Kinsella family home, with the Nickelback show being dubbed Velocity in anticipation of becoming an annual rock festival. The events were marketed separately, with tickets being sold for individual days instead of as weekend passes. Still, taken together, the day-fests proved the famed Field of Dreams quote Dyersville Mayor Jeff Jacque invoked on Saturday: “If you build it, they will come.”

The McGraw show featured Loess Hills, Dani Rose, Cody Lee, Timothy Wayne, Iowa-native Hailey Whitters, and rising country star Ty Myers as supporting acts. Crowds arrived slowly throughout the day to the sold-out event, eventually peaking between Myers and McGraw. Conversely, Sunday’s Nickelback-led lineup, featuring No Fly List, Lakeview, Fuel’s Brett Scallions, Buckcherry, Default, and Brantley Gilbert, saw both a convergence of rock and country sounds as well as a more enthusiastic crowd, which largely arrived in full by the time Buckcherry took the stage. If music does indeed help plants grow, the corn in Dyersville got an earful.

Saturday’s concerts gave more attention to the Field of Dreams movie site itself – with good reason. Tim McGraw’s father, “Tug” McGraw, was a pitcher for the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies, famed for delivering the pitch that won the Phillies their first-ever World Series in 1980. He also happened to be born on August 30th, 1944; for Tim, playing the Field of Dreams on his late father’s birthday was an emotional endeavor, and footage of that winning pitch played as the crowd sang “Happy Birthday” to the late All-Star.

As James Earl Jones’ Terence Mann said in the movie, there is something nostalgic about a site like this that “reminds us of all that once was good and could be again,” and some attendees were certainly surrounded by memories “so thick they’ll have to brush them away from their faces.” Concertgoer Scott West came from West Monroe, Louisiana to see McGraw, his college fraternity brother and former college baseball player. He’d stopped in Gattinburg, Tennessee to pick up another mutual friend, “Scoop” Maurice, whose nickname came from his time as a first baseman.

Ty Myers said of performing at the festival, “Baseball was such a huge part of my childhood. When I got the opportunity to open for Tim at [the] Field of Dreams, it was an immediate yes. I’ve been looking forward to this show all year. Tim is such an icon, and it was a real honor.”

Best Costumes, Moments From Brooklyn’s Annual West Indian Day Parade

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Brooklyn’s rich cultural fabric is stitched together by the many immigrant communities that call the borough home—but none have left quite as vibrant a mark as its thriving Caribbean population.

Each Labor Day, that influence takes center stage during J’Ouvert, an early-morning celebration of Caribbean pride that transforms the streets of Crown Heights into a lively, colorful Carnival, otherwise known as the West Indian Day Parade.

Running along Eastern Parkway, the West Indian Day Parade draws thousands from across the five boroughs and beyond. Revelers wave their flags high, dance to the rhythms of soca and steelpan, and fill the air with joy and liberation. Vendors line the sidewalks, offering everything from flavorful Caribbean dishes to festive regalia, adding to the high-energy, cultural immersion of the event.

And at the heart of it all? The unforgettable outfits and happening that occur throughout the day. Here are some of the most striking costumes, moments and looks from this year’s West Indian Day celebration.

Stephen King criticises the “pornographic” violence in superhero films

by jummy84 September 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Stephen King has criticised the depiction of violence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, describing it as “pornographic”.

The writer, who is most adapted living author in cinematic history, was speaking about the extent of the violence in the new film The Long Walk, which is based on his 1979 novel of the same name.

He told The Times that he insisted to screenwriter JT Mollner (Strange Darling) and director Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games) that the young characters in the film, who enter a walking contest in which all but the winner will be executed, must be shown being brutally killed.

“If you look at these superhero movies, you’ll see…some supervillain who’s destroying whole city blocks but you never see any blood,” he explained. “And man, that’s wrong. It’s almost, like, pornographic.”

“I said, if you’re not going to show it [in The Long Walk], don’t bother. And so they made a pretty brutal movie.”

Set in a dystopian United States, the film depicts 100 young men entering an annual walking contest in which they must maintain a speed of at least three miles per hour or they will be killed. The winner is the last remaining walker.

It stars Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson and Charlie Plummer and is released in cinemas on September 12.

It is one of four major King adaptations to be released on the big screen in 2025: The Life Of Chuck, with Tom Hiddleston and Chiwetel Ejiofor, is out now, Osgood Perkins’ horror The Monkey was a hit in the Spring, while Edgar Wright’s remake of The Running Man is coming on November 7.

This is not the first time that King has spoken about the MCU – in 2023, he criticised people that were piling in on the miserable box office performance of The Marvels, calling it “adolescent fanboy hate”.

“I don’t go to MCU movies, don’t care for them, but I find this barely masked gloating over the low box office for THE MARVELS very unpleasant,” he wrote. “Why gloat over failure?”

Last month, he spoke about his wishes for the end of the Trump presidency. “I think it would be impeachment – which, in my view, would be a good ending. I would love to see him retired, let’s put it that way. The bad ending would be that he gets a third term and takes things over completely. It’s a horror story either way. Trump is a horror story, isn’t he?”

Sex Pistols With Frank Carter Postpone North American Tour

by jummy84 September 2, 2025
written by jummy84

The Sex Pistols and Frank Carter have some bad news to share.

On Friday, guitarist Steve Jones broke the news to fans that he had broken his wrist and that the band would need to postpone their upcoming run of North and American shows that had been slated to kick off on Sept. 16 at Dallas’ Longhorn Ballroom.

“I’ve got some good news and bad news. What do you want first?” wrote Jones in an Instagram post. “Okay, the bad news: I’ve broken my wrist, so unfortunately we won’t be doing any shows for a while.”

On the other hand, the musician said that the “good news is the surgeon said I will be back playing guitar in the not-too-distant future. The other good news is I’ll be 70 tomorrow!” Before ending his message, he said, “God bless, and God save the wrist.”

Along with the group’s North American concerts, their shows in South America have also been postponed and will be rescheduled when Jones fully recovers. More information will be shared on local venue websites and social media.

The Sex Pistol’s 50th anniversary tour lineup features Jones, bassist Glen Matlock, drummer Paul Cook, and Gallows singer and new vocalist Frank Carter performing the 1977 punk classic Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols in its entirety, including other tracks from the band’s catalog.

Trending Stories

The tour was set to be the band’s first North American performances since 2003, when its members took the stage with original frontman John Lydon, a.k.a. Johnny Rotten.

Lydon has bashed his former bandmates reunion tour with Carter, calling it “a clown’s circus at work” in an April interview with the Independent. “Sorry, I’m not going to give a helping hand to this any longer, as far as I am concerned, I am the Pistols, and they’re not.” In another interview with NME, Lydon said the concerts were little more than “karaoke presentation.”

Sabrina Carpenter ‘Man’s Best Friend’ Sets Spotify Record: Reaction

by jummy84 September 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Sabrina Carpenter‘s new album Man’s Best Friend was one of the year’s most highly anticipated pop releases for months before it dropped — and now, it has the numbers on Spotify to prove it.

As announced by the streaming service Tuesday (Sept. 2), the 12-track LP has set a new 2025 record for most streams in a single day for an album by a female artist. On Instagram Stories, Carpenter reacted to the news by writing, “This blows my mind.”

“Can’t thank you enough for listening,” she added.

On X, Carpenter also reshared the announcement and wrote, “I can’t believe this … thank you so much for listening.”

The confirmation of the streaming feat comes just a few days after the Grammy winner released Man’s Best Friend, her seventh studio album, on Aug. 29. She first announced the project in June, shortly after dropping lead single “Manchild,” which debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 — Carpenter’s second-ever No. 1 on the chart.

But as impressive as Carpenter’s new milestone is, it’s not difficult to ascertain why so many people would tune in once she dropped MBF. The Girl Meets World alum had set expectations quite high after breaking through to pop-superstar status in 2024 with the success of album Short n’ Sweet, which spawned hits such as “Espresso” — which, speaking of Spotify, was the platform’s most-streamed song last year — and Hot 100 No. 1 “Please Please Please.”

Even so, the performer didn’t let any pressure to top Short n’ Sweet get to her while making Man’s Best Friend with collaborators Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen. In a recent interview with Interview, Carpenter explained, “I was just like, ‘This is no different than when I was making the last album.’”

“Nobody told me I needed to put it out at any date,” she continued. “If I felt inspired, I would just write. You can write and it doesn’t have to be for anything.”

If her new Spotify metric is any indication, that mentality definitely paid off. See Carpenter’s post on X below.

Sex Pistols Featuring Frank Carter Postpone North American Tour

by jummy84 September 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Sex Pistols Featuring Frank Carter have been forced to postpone their upcoming South American and North American tour dates after guitarist Steve Jones suffered a broken wrist.

The band posted the following message on its Facebook page, including a direct quote from Jones:

“We have some unfortunate news to share about our upcoming North and South American performances. We’ll let Steve explain what’s going on:

‘I’ve got some good news and bad news. What do you want first? Okay, the bad news: I’ve broken my wrist, so unfortunately we won’t be doing any shows for a while. The good news is the surgeon said I will be back playing guitar in the not-too-distant future. The other good news is I’ll be 70 tomorrow! God bless, and God save the wrist.’

The performances will be postponed and rescheduled when Steve has fully recovered. Please check local venue websites and our social media for more information. We appreciate your understanding and support.”

The North American tour was supposed to kick off September 16th in Dallas, and run through an October 17th show in Las Vegas. Along the way, the band was set to play Riot Fest in Chicago and CBGB Fest in Brooklyn.

Prior to the North American run, Sex Pistols Featuring Frank Carter were slated to play a few shows in South America, including stops in Brazil, Chile, and Argentina.

The band features original Sex Pistols members Jones, Glen Matlock (bass), and Paul Cook (drums) fronted by singer Frank Carter (ex-Gallows, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes). They perform the classic album Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols in its entirety, along with a couple of other tunes.

A Goth Baddie With O Cups

by jummy84 September 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Drake is kicking his ICEMAN rollout into full gear as the next step in the overall puzzle was released today: an interview. He sat — or technically laid — down with Bobbi Althoff to run it back for part two of their viral conversation from 2023. While the Toronto superstar delved into his thoughts about a plethora of topics, he also spoke about one day finding his Mrs. Right and what that journey would look like.

When Althoff abruptly asks the 6 God when he plans on getting married, he diverts the convo by saying, “I’d get married here,” referring to the luxurious lakefront estate they’re conducting the interview from. For the next few minutes, he humorously tries to distract Bobbi from the original question by mentioning things about their surroundings. He finally answers by saying, “When that type of connection finds me,” but he hasn’t gotten close to finding it because “nobody believes.”

After some more banter while Bobbi tries to get him to focus, Drake adds, “I need someone who deeply appreciates the fact that I try really hard. That’s the best way I’ve ever said it.” They then debate about whether Bobbi should officiate his wedding, if he’ll have a Jewish ceremony, and other details.

Moving onto what he “imagines his wife to look like” and “what’s the type of girl [he] wants to marry” Drizzy warns, “That’s the one area where I don’t feel like the world is ready to accept what I feel is my [dream] partner.”

When he eventually gets to his answer, he reveals, “‘Cause it’s some tweaked out goth, kinda tatted all over…”

The “Hotline Bling” rapper confirms he’s been with that exact type of woman, and he would find the special ladies at Comic Con. “I really feel like my destiny is to wind up with a goth baddie with just absolute O cups,” he says, before adding she also has to be funny.

Drake’s dating history has constantly been at the forefront since his rise to stardom. Over the last decade and a half, he has been linked to names like Rihanna, Serena Williams, Jorja Smith, SZA, Malaika Terry, Jennifer Lopez, and more. He has one child, his 7-year-old son Adonis Graham, with Sophie Brussaux.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Drake speaks about “entitled” journalists who were “so angry” about his first interview with Althoff, being arrested in Sweden, and more. Watch their 2023 convo below and the recent one above, with the referenced portion beginning around the 47-minute mark.
