Clairo is best known for her poetic lyricism, accompanied by soft, almost whispered vocals. And in honor of some of her most poignant lyrics, the singer dropped a limited-edition jewelry collection titled Kismet with Catbird.

Explore

See latest videos, charts and news

Kismet means destiny or fate. The collection can be shopped now on Catbird’s website and features a total of 16 pieces, including rings, necklaces and charms made of either sterling silver or 14 karat gold.

Each piece is exceedingly dainty, featuring a slew of romantic motifs that reference some of Clairo’s most popular tracks. References are made to her 2024 tracks “Second Nature” and “Glory of the Snow,” and old tracks like her 2017 hit “Sis.” With the launch of the collection, Catbird and Clairo will be donating $15,000 to Doctors Without Borders.

To celebrate this collaboration, we’ll be taking you through some of our favorite pieces, breaking down price and construction. Stick around to shop our faves from Clairo x Catbird’s lyrical jewelry collection.

Catbird x Clairo Tender Touches Silver Dagger Ring

A silver ring with a dagger motif.

Catbird x Clairo Make You Blue Silver Ring

A silver ring with a swan motif on the front.

Up first, we have rings, a favorite accessory of ours. We’ve picked the Tender Touches Silver Dagger Ring for $98 and the Make You Blue Silver Ring for $298. Keep in mind that both of these styles also come in gold, if silver isn’t your thing. The Tender Touches Silver Dagger Ring is a thin and dainty sculptural piece that makes reference to Clairo’s 2017 song “Sis,” specifically the lyrics “Tender touches, Mend me with feathers.”

It is also meant to reference Clairo’s iconic dagger tattoo affixed to her breastbone. At the center of the ring sits a sculpted dagger with roses and vines wound around it. The band it is placed on is super thin. We can see this ring making a great layering piece because it is so thin.

The Make You Blue Silver Ring is a more statement-making piece with a chunkier silhouette. This ring takes inspo from Clairo’s 2024 song “Glory of the Snow,” specifically from the lyrics “When I cry, I wanna give you a ring, I can brеathe with you right there, hold onto me. The ring is made of 100% recycled sterling silver and features a cabochon topaz, with a swan motif swimming in a lake of tears.

Two recycled brilliant cut diamonds sit on either side of the swan motif. The band is just as thin as our last pick; however, the topaz edition gives the ring weight. When purchasing these rings on Catbird’s website, you have the option to pick out your exact ring size, giving you the perfect fit every time.

Catbird x Clairo Charmed By You Three Charm Silver Necklace

A chain necklace with three charms.

Next up, we’ve got the Charmed By You Three Charm Silver Necklace for $148. As the name suggests, the necklace features three charms all attached to a sterling silver chain. This design is also inspired by Clairo’s ‘Glory of the Snow,’ specifically the lyrics, “I pull on the string that binds me, to memories of the way I loved you.” The charms depict a dagger, a night moth, and a sparkling topaz tear.

Finally, we have our favorite additions to this collection: the charms. We’ve picked the A Flower for You Silver Charm for $48 and the Kismet Silver Charm for $98. Both charms come in sterling silver or 14K gold and can be worn two ways, on a chain or choker.

Catbird x Clairo Kismet Silver Charm

A silver Kismet charm.

The A Flower for You Silver Charm features a bell-shaped floral motif with a pearl on the inside. This piece is inspired by Clairo’s 2021 track ‘Little Changes,’ specifically the lyrics, “A flower for you and the dogs are near.” As previously mentioned, you’ll able to fasten this charm to a choker or chain at checkout with the total price varying on size and materials chosen.

The Kismet Silver Charm pays homage to Clairo’s 2024 song “Second Nature,” specifically in reference to the lyrics “And once you get in my ear, I see kismet sinking in, It’s second nature.” The charm is made of a shimmering mother of pearl cabochon, with ‘Kismet’ scrawled on the front. The charm can be worn on either side, giving wearers endless styling possibilities.

Young Thug Calls GloRilla “Ugly” On Leaked Jail Call, Glo Responds

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

The latest leaked call from Young Thug‘s time behind bars during his RICO trial finds him disparaging Memphis rapper GloRilla, calling her “ugly” in a mean spirited rant to girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist

The call begins with Thugger calling the “Typa” rapper “ugly as f**k” before Mariah tells him that some people believe she looks like Rihanna. Thug scoffs at the comparison, describing Glo as having a “long a** bullsh*t a** wig,” and calling her “skinny sh*t,” with a “god*amn big a** head, big mouth… I would not pursue her, like at all… that sh*t ain’t nun.”

At one point, the “Burning Blue” singer says she doesn’t believe men would approach GloRilla if she were a “regular” girl and wasn’t famous. Listen to the jail call snippet below.

Young Thug disses GloRilla in a newly surfaced call:

“Long ass bullsh*t ass wig, skinny sh*t, goddamn big ass head, big mouth… I would not pursue her, at all, ever…” https://t.co/nZWmZtRXPk

— Kurrco (@Kurrco) September 4, 2025

GloRilla was quick to respond to the leaked insults, claiming that Young Thug called her repeatedly at one point to compliment her eyes.

“Mind you dis da same ni**a blowing my phone up to ask what color my eyes is lmaooo,” she wrote on X. See the post below.

Whether or not Thug finds Glo attractive, she’s seemingly bagged herself an NBA star in Brandon Ingram, as the pair have been spotted together at least three times in the last few weeks, most recently on Ingram’s birthday post via Instagram. They were also spotted together during GloRilla’s Cabo San Lucas birthday celebration in July.

Hours after Glo’s response, Young Thug issued an apology.

“@GloTheofficial first of all I’m sorry to u for my words and I honestly don’t think ur ugly at all, I was speaking from jail just having a hard time with life.. I don’t like bashing girls and hardly ever did.. I’m sorry to u twin.”

— Young Thug ひ (@youngthug) September 4, 2025

In addition to speaking on the “TGIF” rapper, leaked calls from Young Thug’s time jail also found him confessing to buying fake streams for Gunna, calling Gucci Mane “soft,” and bashing Kendrick Lamar for turning down his feature request.

Tame Impala Announce New Album Deadbeat

Tame Impala Announce New Album Deadbeat

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

After dropping two songs this summer, Tame Impala have announced a new album – their first in five years. The follow-up to 2020’s The Slow Rush is titled Deadbeat and arrives October 17 via Columbia. Check out the cover artwork for the album below.

Kevin Parker ushered in Tame Impala’s return in July with “End of the Summer,” which arrived with a trippy split-screen music video. Then, yesterday, he also rolled out the new song “Loser.” Tame Impala tapped Joe Keery—the Stranger Things and Pavements actor who records his own music as Djo—to star in that music video where, for a brief few seconds, he swaps places with Parker to tell the tale of a dejected burnout.

Deadbeat, according to a press release, “is deeply inspired by bush doof culture and the Western Australia rave scene.” Parker worked on the album in his Fremantle hometown and at his studio in Injidup, Western Australia. The 12-song project will include both “End of the Summer” and “Loser.”

Although The Slow Rush came out five years ago, Parker has been plenty busy since then. He won his first-ever Grammy Award, the Best Dance/Electronic Recording trophy, for the Justice collaboration “Neverender.” Then there’s all the film contributions, with Tame Impala recording “Journey to the Real World” for the Barbie movie, “Wings of Time” for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, a remix of “Edge of Reality” for Elvis, and the Diana Ross collaboration “Turn Up the Sunshine” for Minions: The Rise of Gru.

Of course, Parker has lent his skills to a number of other songs over the past couple years, too. The Tame Impala mastermind recorded “No More Lies” with Thundercat, “One Night/All Night” with Justice, “New Gold” with Gorillaz, and “Call My Phone Thinking I’m Doing Nothing Better” with the Streets. That doesn’t even include all the remixes artists like 070 Shake, the Crowded House, and Justice have asked him to do, or him helming the production board for Dua Lipa’s Radical Optimism.

'Wednesday' season two ending explained: does Wednesday save Enid?

‘Wednesday’ season two ending explained: does Wednesday save Enid?

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

**Warning: Spoilers Ahead**

Wednesday season two is now streaming in full on Netflix, but does Wednesday manage to save Enid by the end? Find out below.

The first season of the show centred on the goth teen at the heart of the Addams Family and proved to be a huge hit for Netflix, becoming the streamer’s biggest English-language series of all time.

The first half of the second season arrived in August, and now part two is here, as of September 3. Jenna Ortega returns in the title role, while half of the new episodes have been directed by Tim Burton.

It includes a memorable cameo performance from Lady Gaga as Rosaline Rotwood, and her appearance has coincided with the release of Gaga’s new single ‘The Dead Dance’, with a Burton-directed video.

In a four-star review of the first part of season two, NME wrote: “A frantic mid-season finale sets things up for an explosive return in September, which will also see the arrival of Lady Gaga’s Rosaline Rotwood. Perhaps that next batch of episodes will take the beloved series to new places after part one sticks carefully to the familiar, if successful, formula.”

One character who has not returned for the new season is Xavier, who had been set up as Wednesday’s potential love interest. He was written out after actor Percy Hynes White was the subject of sexual misconduct allegations, which he has denied.

A third season has already been commissioned, with showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar also now working on a spinoff series.

Wednesday season two ending explained: does Wednesday save Enid?

In the opening episode of season two, Wednesday has a vision of Enid’s tombstone in a crow-infested graveyard. The prophecy haunts her, and when her encounter with Gaga’s Rotwood sees Wednesday body-swapped with Enid in a Freaky Friday style, Wednesday realises that Enid is not only a werewolf, but an Alpha, meaning that she may end up stuck in wolf form permanently.

Billie Piper’s Ms. Capri attempts to help Enid control her powers, but towards the end of the season, when Wednesday is in trouble, Enid voluntarily changes to gain enough strength to save her. Knowing that she is now stuck, she flees Nevermore to be alone, in an effort to protect those around her.

Having been saved by Enid, Wednesday successfully reunites with the Addams family, with Thing turning on Isaac as Isaac attacked Wednesday, pulling out his clockwork heart and killing him.

Wednesday leads to Addams family on a new mission to track down Enid, who they believe is trapped in Alpha wolf form and heading for the Canadian border. With help from Thing and Uncle Fester, as well as Aunt Ophelia’s diary, they hope to be able to restore Enid to human form again. However, the end of the season leaves viewers on a cliffhanger, setting up the conclusion to Enid’s plight as a hook for the third season.

David Byrne Laughs at the Weirdness of Life on ‘Who Is the Sky?’

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

By now, fans see David Byrne as more than a quirky dude in a beloved legacy rock act. He’s a plainspoken public intellectual; an advocate for civic improvement and multi-cultural cooperation; a neurodiverse poet of the modern condition; an artistic éminence grise with fingers on multiple cultural pulses. In some ways, as the multi-format American Utopia project showed, a sort of non-denominational minister, with a goofy sense of humor, who one might look to for guidance, hope, encouragement and words of wisdom when things get scary.

Well, things are pretty scary right now, and on his first album of original songs since before the pandemic, Byrne is … writing musical comedy. “I met the Buddha at a downtown party,” he announces on the bouncy song of the same name; “he was hangin’ by the pastries and the canapés/Just stuffing himself like there was no tomorrow/With a beatific smile all over his face.” When the singer expresses concern, the deity schools him: “‘I’ve had to retire from that enlightenment biz/I don’t have the answers, and I never did/They think I can help them, but I’m not that smart/ so here, have a piece of this blue blueberry tart!’”

In “The Avant Garde,” the art school student-turned-pop singer acts out an aesthetic crisis over an intermittently jerky groove, rhyming “I saw a woman in a leotard” with “I’m not sure how I feel ‘bout the avant garde,” and positing “it doesn’t mean shit” in the chorus. On “Moisturizing Thing,” over cheeky string arrangements, his sweetheart says: “‘Hey David, put this on your skin/It says it’s anti-aging, anti-oxidant too/ go ahead, try it/Let’s see what it can do.’” Lo and behold, it transforms the singer into an apparent toddler. “My honey wakes up, she looks over and screams,” he recounts; “that lotion is magic, I look like I’m three.”

The storytelling style isn’t off-brand for a polymath who’s been making stage musicals for two decades, longer if you count Eighties collaborations with Twyla Tharpe (The Catherine Wheel) and the late Robert Wilson (Music for “The Knee Plays”). There’s also evident connection here with Byrne’s recent interactive Theater of the Mind project, and a rap sheet of role-play songwriting that stretches back to “Psycho Killer” and “Life During Wartime.”

Editor’s picks

What made those songs work, and these, is the sound of Byrne’s mind cogitating inside them. Memoir seems to flicker through Who Is The Sky? — whose title, Byrne cops, comes from an AI voice transcription error of the phrase “who is this guy?” Worries over aging, about people sweating you for your creative choices, or hoping for words of wisdom to decode the world’s madness, seem like triggers Byrne might well have. And tbh, it’s refreshing, and hilarious, to hear Byrne sounding downright bitchy on “The Avant Garde,” since dude rarely dials things up past pointedly wry (not to mention having a CV full of his own mea culpas).

There’s evident memoir, too, in the album’s love songs, considering Byrne’s imminent marriage to the writer/hedge-fund founder Mala Gaonkar, a fellow polymath (NB: his wedding dinner playlist is definitely worth a listen). On “What is the Reason For It?,” Byrne overthinks the phenomenon of love atop mariachi-brass abstracts with a charming assist from Paramore’s Hayley Williams, the latest of his 21st -century-pop sidekicks — see also Robyn, Olivia Rodrigo and St. Vincent’s Annie Clark, a veteran Byrne collaborator who turns up here on “Ev’rybody Laughs,” the LP’s lead single and default mission statement. “She Explains Things To Me” is another love song, of sorts. It’s the record’s most touching and vulnerable moment, an expression of gratitude, with faintly comic frustration, for someone who enlarges your perspective, mansplaining re-imagined as man-listening.

Trending Stories

Musically, Byrne taps into modern-ish pop strategies via Harry Styles producer Kid Harpoon. But being Byrne, he’s also enlisted the New York-based Ghost Train Orchestra, a chamber ensemble known for their interpretations of the late composer/street musician Moondog, and jazz-rock drummer Tom Skinner of Radiohead side-band, the Smile. If Byrne’s approach recalls that of Colors, Beck’s 2017 pop turn with Greg Kurstin, the touch here is lighter, with the multicultural rhythmic and melodic surprises that always brighten Byrne’s solo work.

Related Content

The risk with humor in songs, of course, is that jokes wear thin. But laughing’s pleasurable and undeniably therapeutic; it may even be a pop music trend (ie: Laufey’s salty punchlines, laugh-advocate Laraaji’s contributions to the new Big Thief album). Either way, Who Is The Sky? is an compelling invitation, like the one Byrne offered on the Talking Heads signature “Road to Nowhere” — beautifully covered by Brazilian expat Rogê on a forthcoming Heads tribute LP, it should be noted — to join him on what’s looking like a long ride into who knows what, singing and laughing as needed.

Yes Legend Rick Wakeman Announces New Solo Album Melancholia

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Rick Wakeman, the legendary former Yes keyboardist, has announced a new solo album titled Melancholia, out October 17th.

The 12-track release completes a trilogy of piano suites by Wakeman that began with 2017’s Piano Portraits and continued with 2018’s Piano Odyssey. This latest work was recorded on a Steinway Model D, and it marks Wakeman’s first studio album since he announced his impending retirement from touring last year.

According to a press announcement, Melancholia began with a “quiet moment at the piano” one afternoon when Wakeman’s wife overheard him playing the “contemplative piece” that would later become the track “Garo.”

Related Video

The press release continues: “And because she knew well that he often turned to the piano in times of sadness or inner turbulence, using music as a kind of emotional compass, she encouraged him to share it. What followed was not a conceptual record in the traditional sense, but a deeply cohesive suite, written intuitively at first and later shaped in collaboration with long-time producer and engineer Erik Jordan at The Granary Studio in Norfolk.”

Melancholia will be available as a 2-CD/DVD set (featuring hi-res stereo audio and short documentary about the making of the album); on both silver and black vinyl; as a standalone CD; and digitally. Pre-orders can be found via Wakeman’s webstore.

Wakeman was forced to postpone a summer US tour as he underwent surgery to correct an unspecified “ongoing health issue.” However, he’ll be back on the road for a UK tour in October. Pick up tickets here.

Check out the artwork and tracklist for Melancholia below.

Cam’ron Calls Dame Dash ‘Emotional,’ Blasts His Familial Disrespect

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Cam’ron is just as vocal and willing to throw jabs as Dame Dash. He did not take long to respond to the Roc-A-Fella co-founder’s diss to his career, calling him “emotional” and questioning how he could disrespect his family on television.

The Dipset member took to IG and blasted the Harlem entrepreneur with two separate posts. His first post began with a graphic that read “All this because ‘Honor Up’ was wack,” with a laughing emoji, referring to Dash’s 2018 film. The following slides were a photo of Dame missing his front teeth, a clip of It Is What It Is where he and Ma$e laughed about the situation, and a snippet of Loaded Lux and Calicoe’s legendary battle where Lux famously said, “Look at you, emotional.”

His caption matched the tone of the post. “Damn big bro. I thought we was snapping,” Killa Cam wrote. “My bad sincerely if u mad. But I’m glad you got that off ya chest. But me emotional?! Never dat. I think you a lil emotional and I get it. Secondly I’m ya REAL friend. Cause whoever you around is a wack *ninja emoji* for letting you do that interview in that condition. I woulda never let you get on camera like that.”

He closed with an apology and said that he would begin to promote Dash’s work since he took issue with the lack thereof. However, the specific content he chose to “promote” may only anger the audacious executive even further.

The “Hey Ma” rapper shared a clip of WEtv’s Growing Up Hip Hop where Dame argued with his son Boogie and daughter Ava. At one point, things got so tense that they nearly got into each other’s faces and Dash called Boogie a clown before walking out. “Damn if this how how you talk to ya kids on TV, none of [us] have a chance out here for a peaceful convo *facepalm emoji*,” Cam wrote. “And don’t change the narrative saying I’m disrespecting ya family. Cause I love ya family like I love you. But if you call ya kids ‘clowns’ what u think of anyone else *shrug emoji*”

He also called Dame out for wrongfully stating that he worked for REVOLT, when he only licenses his show to them, which he owns. Cam then countered by saying that Dame appeared on Growing Up Hip Hop as WEtv talent and likely did not make much money from it.

Dame and Cam’s tension was sparked by the latter’s recent statements on Talk With Flee. He expressed his disdain for a fight that Dash had with Ma$e, and another incident where 50 Cent allegedly smacked him “on the a**.” Still, he invited Dash onto the show so they could discuss their issues.

Dash, however, decided to address the Harlem rapper on Bosses Take Losses. “Cam’s been talking a lot. Sometimes it’s complimentary, but a lot of time this thing is that I don’t think that we should be speaking about publicly,” Dame said. “I haven’t called him a lot, but when I did call, he doesn’t pick up, and I think he’s publicly said he doesn’t pick up my calls.” He also slammed the fast-rising sports commentator for not having a hit record since leaving Roc-A-Fella.

But Macieira in a lengthy post on her Instagram page, has announced she will not be part of the US tour and Big Girl’s Kaitlin Pelkey will be filling in for her.

“Hello. I want to talk about something quite personal, partially because of my violent need to be deeply understood by those in my life, partially in order to be transparent about touring with disabilities in hopes to raise awareness, in hopes, that people in my position can relate and feel less alone,” she began before adding: “And also because I’ve never understood, nor had the desire to understand, the taboo of being very personal with strangers.”

She continued: “Being in this band has taken me places and shown me things I never thought I’d see, and I’m forever grateful that I get to play shows for a living and write music that people enjoy.

“But after extensive touring, I’ve been forced to come face to face with my limit. I’ve always struggled badly in touring environments, and despite my best efforts, those struggles have consumed me entirely and spat me out again.”

Macieira goes on to explain that she was diagnosed as being bipolar and with autism four years ago and after touring last year she “developed a physical tic, that has since progressed to a vocal tic” and is “causing me a lot of distress and pain.”

“I’ve never wanted anything more in my life than to be able to exist normally in this world, and having the realisation that this is not possible has put me in a dangerous place mentally,” she said.

“I have to withdraw and try to simulate a safe environment, to mend the foundations I’ve cracked in myself to try and come back to myself. Unfortunately this means I will be taking a step back from live shows with Lambrini Girls, to give myself a chance to seek medical help.

“Our scheduled shows are still going ahead and I’ll appear on stage when I’m able, but for our upcoming US tour you’ll have the brilliant Kaitlin Pelkey from Big Girl filling in for me on bass.”

Macieira went to say that she is tired of being “expected to be ‘loud’ and ‘energetic’ – to be ‘on’ all the time.”

She concluded: “I’m tired of feeling like being quiet in this band is weakness and inadequacy, like it’s not enough. I’ve betrayed myself for so long at nobody’s cost but my own. No more cosplaying from me. Peace up, A-town.”

The duo’s debut album ‘Who Let The Dogs Out’ was released earlier this year. In a glowing five-star review of the LP, NME shared: “Lambrini Girls prove punk is alive and kicking. They’re unapologetically amplifying chaos, calling out societal wrongs, and daring us all to feel something. This record is loud, raw, and impossible to ignore.”

Lambrini Girls are due to kick off their UK tour on November 19. Check out a full list of tour dates here and visit here to purchase tickets.
