AEG Presents has announced a major new festival is set to join the U.K.’s festival scene in summer 2026.

American Express Presents Roundhay Festival will take place from next year at Roundhay Park in Leeds, England, with the first headlining artist set to be announced imminently. The dates of the festival have not been confirmed at this time.

The festival will join AEG Presents’ existing footprint on the scene alongside BST Hyde Park and All Points East, both of which take place in London. Headliners at this year’s BST Hyde Park include Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, Neil Young and Stevie Wonder, while RAYE and Chase & Status were among the headliners at All Points East.

Roundhay Park is one of Europe’s largest city parks and spans over 700 acres of woodlands, lakes and fields in the north-east of the city. The venue has form for hosting large-scale music events with shows over the years by The Rolling Stones (1982), Genesis (1987), Madonna (1987), Michael Jackson (1988), U2 (1997). Ed Sheeran was the most recent artist to perform at the venue in 2019.

The Yorkshire city currently hosts a number of large-scale music events including Festival Republic’s Leeds Festival (sister event of Reading Festivals), new music-focused event Live at Leeds, and the city centre boasts the indoor 12,000-capacity First Direct Arena.

The programming of the festival will include headline performances as well as free midweek activities for the local community. Both BST Hyde Park and All Points East are held over multiple weekends throughout the summer. It is not yet confirmed on how many nights Roundhay Festival will be held.

Jim King, chief executive of AEG Presents U.K. and European Festivals, said: “Everyone at AEG is thrilled to announce the launch of the Roundhay Festival in Leeds. This landmark event gives us the opportunity to bring world-class artists and world-leading production to even more fans, while building on the park’s incredible musical legacy.

“Roundhay Park already holds an extraordinary place in music history, having hosted concerts from some of the biggest artists of all time and we cannot wait to add to that story.

“As with all our events, we are committed to delivering the very best in every aspect, from welcoming some of the greatest artists in the world, to creating an unforgettable fan experience, and upholding industry-leading sustainability standards. We are determined to bring value to the park, the city, and the wider region. By working closely with local people and businesses, we aim to create a festival that everyone in Leeds can be proud of.”

Netflix Doc’s 17 Biggest Revelations

by jummy84 September 11, 2025
written by jummy84

aka Charlie Sheen does its best to let its titular star tell his story, arguably one of Hollywood’s wildest up-and-down rides. The new Netflix documentary features home videos, tons of clips from Charlie Sheen’s projects, and interviews with key figures from his life — this includes ex-wives Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller, lifelong friend Sean Penn, Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre, two of Sheen’s children, and Sheen’s drug dealer Marco.

It’s all in the quest to unpack the journey that’s led to Sheen’s notorious rise and fall, one of many projects being launched as Sheen tries to return from tabloid exile (he also has a new memoir out). Many interview subjects appear at least a little ambivalent about participating: former co-star Jon Cryer opens the documentary by saying “I’m not here to build him up and i’m not here to tear him down, but I sure hope this doesn’t go bad.” But there are a lot of kind things said about the movie star-turned-addict, in addition to some big revelations about the past 40 years of Sheen’s career, and the self-sabotage that occurred along the way.

At the Time of His Interview, Charlie Sheen Is 7 Years Sober

This is one of the first questions he’s asked in the documentary, to which he responds, “I knew you were going to ask that.”

Sheen Was Offered the Lead Role in The Karate Kid

Before Sheen traveled to Budapest to film his first movie role in Grizzly II: Revenge (alongside George Clooney and Laura Dern), he auditioned for “the biggest project in town.” While he thought he’d blown the audition, director John G. Avildsen thought differently, and offered him the role of Daniel Russo, asking him how quickly he could get into karate training. Unfortunately, he was already committed to Griz, and his father Martin Sheen told him that he had to abide by his word. When he asked to push the production start of The Karate Kid by two weeks, the movie said no, and Ralph Macchio ended up with the part.

Charlie Sheen and Martin Sheen Played a Stunt Basketball Game Against Michael Jordan

For West Wing fans who fondly remember a Season 1 cold open, this one’s fun: In 1987, father and son squared off against the NBA GOAT for a three-part basketball contest. The full video is available online — there were a lot of rules to theoretically even the playing field (Jordan having to shoot free throws with his eyes closed, for example), but the Sheens did ultimately win it.

Clint Eastwood Convinced Sheen to Go to Rehab for the First Time

Sheen’s first trip to rehab in 1990 was preceded by an awkward intervention that culminated in a phone call from the iconic Hollywood figure, who told him “You gotta get the train back on the tracks, kid.” No spoilers, but this did not work out long-term. He did, however, get the Hot Shots script while still in treatment, one of many opportunities he found immediately followed a setback.

Sheen Lost His Virginity at 15 to a Sex Worker

Her name was Candy, he says, and in the doc he thanks her for her service. He also paid for Candy’s services by stealing his father’s credit card.

Heidi Fleiss Doesn’t Love that Sheen Sold Her Out

aka Charlie Sheen (Netflix)

Related Video

The infamous madam, arrested in 1993 for charges that ended up culminating in federal tax evasion, is interviewed for this documentary in her home/bird sanctuary. Wearing comfortable clothes and speaking frankly, she reveals that the only reason Sheen was busted for his involvement in her sex work operation was that he paid her with travelers’ checks at one point, which were discovered by the cops — “I never said anything, I never said anything about anyone.”

Still, he was threatened with a few years of jail time for procuring girls for his friends, and so the only way out of facing charges was to rat her out. Something Fleiss didn’t think he had to do, as she doesn’t think “a rich kid from Malibu” would have really faced any consequences. She also says that she was paid a visit by Martin Sheen after her conviction, who asked her to “go easy on Charlie.”

Sheen Insisted on Chris Tucker Getting First Billing in Money Talks

As you might expect, Chris Tucker (interviewed for the documentary) is very grateful for this. “He’s this huge star, you know, not being selfish. Who does that in Hollywood?”

High on Drugs, Sheen Found a Unique Way to Get Through a Scene

While filming a supporting role in a 1998 movie called Free Money, Sheen says he did so much cocaine that he could not keep his eyes open in the middle of a take. So, he asked for a glass of ice, went to the bathroom, and stuck an ice cube “up my butt.” The documentary then shows the actual scene (labeled on screen as “The Actual Scene”) to show how effective a technique it ended up being. His eyes do at least appear to stay open.

Celebrities React To Charlie Kirk’s Death: Barack Obama And More

by jummy84 September 11, 2025
written by jummy84

Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist, was shot and killed this week during an event at Utah Valley University. The 31-year-old held polarizing beliefs about gun control, Black gangs, and Black women, which have forced the country to be heavily split on its responses to his passing.

While indifference to the passing of someone with whom you have ideological differences is understandable, celebrating the death on anyone is wrong. Additionally, violence within politics is archaic and upsetting, as people should ideally be able to disagree in a healthy enough manner so that things do not get to that point. Nonetheless, this country’s history has shown that people often feel oppressed to the point where violence is the only resolution, in their minds.

Kirk was a father and a husband, so it is difficult to think about what his family may be enduring. However, how far can empathy go when considering the things he said and campaigned for while alive? Kirk was a strong advocate for President Donald Trump and helped influence young voters to support the convicted felon’s reelection to office. Looking at all Trump has done in his first nine months back in the White House understandably makes people even more unwilling to feel sympathy toward his supporters.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at how celebrities have reacted to Kirk’s death.

  • Barack Obama

Barack always looks to take the most measured stance on topics and consider the well-being of the entire country, to the chagrin of many. So his tweet on X after Kirk was confirmed dead was unsurprising.

“We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy,” he wrote. “Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.”

  • Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson is loved by many for what he does on the football field and his willingness to take accountability after losses, even if he was not at fault. Off the field, the Baltimore Ravens superstar has had some questionable moments, such as nicknaming President Donald Trump “Truzz Trump” after the controversial politician celebrated Jackson being drafted to the Ravens in 2018.

He did not say anything directly about Kirk’s death, but he did repost a tweet from former Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith that could backfire on him in the long run. “Celebrating the death of someone you don’t share the same beliefs as is wild,” Smith wrote. “Seeing it play out in real time is disgusting.”

Again, a valid sentiment in general. However, for the people who don’t want to feel bad for Kirk, this is another eyebrow-raising moment.

  • Pat McAfee

Pat McAfee dedicated a tweet and four minutes of his eponymous ESPN sports talk show to addressing Kirk’s untimely death. Though the former NFL punter is beloved in the sports space for his charisma and passion, his political stances have turned some away from him.

“Charlie Kirk, a name synonymous with having the courage to speak what you believe and seek/welcome conversations with those whom you disagree with,” he wrote on X. “I’m not a political person but I am a proud American citizen and today was startling, saddening, and maddening all at the same time.. I’ve realized that I’m a bit naive to how crazy it all has become but watching a man get hunted and slayed in broad daylight because of his opinions made me disgusted and devastated.”

He reflected on how the country has gotten to this point, and his belief that while the “good people will always outnumber the evil people,” Kirk’s death was alarming. Thus, he focused on sending his thoughts to Kirk’s family, friends, and loved ones.

  • Donald Trump

If you know anything about President Donald Trump’s history with Charlie Kirk, then his reaction to the conservative activist’s death should not be shocking. Trump plans to honor him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously, and shared more thoughts at the Pentagon on Thursday (Sept. 11), per NBC.

“Before we begin, let me express the horror and grief so many Americans at the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk have felt,” he said during his speech. “Charlie was a giant of his generation, a champion of liberty and an inspiration to millions and millions of people. Our prayers are with his wonderful wife, Erika, and his beautiful children — fantastic people they are. We miss him greatly, yet I have no doubt that Charlie’s voice and the courage he put into the hearts of countless people, especially young people, will live on.”

In a video shortly after Kirk was pronounced dead, Trump blamed the Democrats for his passing. “It’s [long] past time for all Americans and the media to confront the fact that violence and murder are the tragic [consequences] of demonizing those with whom you disagree,” he said. “For years, those on the radical Left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we’re seeing in our country today, and it must stop right now.”

  • Claressa Shields

For some people, Kirk’s death is more a matter of what human beings deserve than a matter of their political leanings. Boxer Claressa Shields, like many, was taken aback by a video of someone being shot flooding social media.

“I can’t believe a man being shot & killed is just all down my timeline,” she wrote with sad face emojis. “I’m not into politics but Charlie Kirk did not deserve that. No one deserves that.” It would be interesting to know her thoughts after hearing that he said, “Black women do not have brain processing power to be taken seriously. You have to go steal a white person’s slot.”

  • Amanda Seales

Amanda Seales speaking atAmanda Seales speaking at
Image Credit: Unique Nicole/Getty Images for The Vanity Group

One place that people won’t find empathy for Charlie Kirk is in Amanda Seales’ world. Why? Because the late author himself didn’t possess any.

“First of all, Charlie Kirk don’t believe in empathy,” Seales said in an Instagram video. “He said it’s a bad thing. He said it’s some ‘new-age made-up sh*t.’ He also said people got to be sacrificed in order to protect guns. If he was saying that while fighting for reparations, I may have a little bit of empathy.”

Even upon learning that he was confirmed dead in real time, she did not waver. “He died? Damn, B. Life comes at you fast,” she added in a dismissive tone. “I can’t have empathy because I have no connectivity. I have more connectivity to someone who is a complete stranger that dies of a drug overdose than I do to someone like Charlie Kirk. Because life is hard and I understand that. Because it takes very little for someone to end up committing themselves to an existence of numbness.” Per the social media responses, the actress is not alone in her stance.

  • Jimmy Kimmel

Jimmy Kimmel didn’t want to delve into the details of the negativity Kirk’s death created. “Instead of the angry finger-pointing, can we just for one day agree that it is horrible and monstrous to shoot another human?” he wrote on Instagram. “On behalf of my family, we send love to the Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocents who fall victim to senseless gun violence.”

Unfortunately, given the division of this country, that won’t happen. His heart may have been in the right place, but it is deeper than gun violence to many.

  • Dr. Phil

Dr. Phil at SiriusXM studios.Dr. Phil at SiriusXM studios.

“Charlie Kirk, husband, father, friend, American, has been assassinated,” Dr. Phil wrote on X, captioning an almost four-minute video. “His spirit, passion and message will live on. Prayers for his soul and his wife and children.”

This response should not shock many, as Phil has been supportive of Trump’s immigration policies and has accompanied ICE during some of their raids.

The mini residency came as part of the band’s ‘House Of Kong’ exhibition at the Copper Box. It ran from August 8 until September 3, and offered fans a look behind the curtain of the virtual band’s headquarters, and provided insights into the journey they have had since sharing their 2000 debut single ‘Tomorrow Comes Today’, up until the present day.

The band are now set to relaunch Kong Studios as an online video game.

Smokey Robinson’s Sexual Assault Accusers Can Proceed Anonymously

by jummy84 September 11, 2025
written by jummy84

A judge ruled Thursday that the four housekeepers suing Smokey Robinson for sexual assault can move forward with their $50 million lawsuit against the Motown star using pseudonyms.

Robinson had filed a motion asking the court to strike down the women’s complaint and force them to refile using their real names if they wanted to proceed. He claimed the women waived their right to anonymity when they appeared at a press conference on May 6 wearing masks and sunglasses while their lawyers shared some identifying information.

The “Being With You” singer, who is now counter-suing the Jane Does with a $500 million defamation and elder abuse cross-complaint, argued the women and their lawyers shouldn’t be allowed to “pick and choose” the details they disclose. At the press conference, the lawyers told reporters that the women were Latina, earned “below minimum wage,” and didn’t step forward sooner in part due to concerns they might face “reprisals” related to immigration status.

Before the judge ruled from the bench Thursday at a morning hearing in downtown Los Angeles, Robinson’s lawyer, Christopher Frost, argued that the pseudonyms were hindering the defense’s effort to subpoena witnesses. He also revealed some of what Jane Doe 3 purportedly said during her sealed deposition taken a day earlier.

“We learned that Jane Doe No. 3 is the sister of Jane Doe 2, and she brought Jane Doe 2 to the employment of the Robinsons four years after she claims to have already been sexually assaulted. That’s the kind of information they want to hide,” Frost argued. “We also learned that Jane Doe 3 did nothing to find another job for 12 years, then had another job and left it to come back to the Robinsons. That’s all during the time they were claiming they were being sexually assaulted. That’s the type of information they don’t want the public to know.”

Los Angeles County Judge Kevin C. Brazile listened but stuck to his tentative order in favor of the Jane Does. He said the women could proceed with pseudonyms, but he might change his mind as the case progresses. He then set a trial date for Oct. 11, 2027, adding that Robinson’s advanced age, 85, gave him priority. The judge said his other new trials were being set three years in the future.

Editor’s picks

“This early in the case, I don’t think their identities need to be revealed. Maybe later, but for now, you’re not harmed. You know who they are,” Judge Brazile said. He signaled he would grant exceptions to the anonymity ruling if Robinson’s defense needs to use the women’s names when reaching out to third-party witnesses to ask about their interactions with the plaintiffs.

In his written ruling, Brazile said he disagreed with Robinson’s claim that the plaintiffs waived their right to anonymity “simply because they might argue that their immigration status resulted in a delay coming forward, or because plaintiffs had a media conference during which they wore masks.”

“The court believes that this is a matter in which there is an overriding interest supporting the use of pseudonyms,” Brazile wrote. He cited the “repeated rapes” alleged in the women’s complaint and the possibility that Robinson’s celebrity status might inspire fans to “seek retribution.”

Before setting the trial date, Judge Brazile asked about the musician’s health. “I’ve hugged the man. He’s in better shape than I am,” Frost replied. The lawyer said the 2027 trial date worked, but something sooner might be a problem. “The other problem we have is that because the Jane Does filed police reports, we can’t have him testify at the moment, and we don’t know how long that is going to take, so we have to avoid a situation where we move so quickly that he can’t present his defense,” Frost said.

The high-profile legal battle first grabbed headlines in early May, when the four women filed their stunning complaint with allegations that the soul singer repeatedly sexually assaulted them during their various tenures dating as far back as 2007. The lawsuit accused Robinson of multiple rapes, instances of sexual assault and battery, false imprisonment, and gender violence. It went on to accuse Robinson and his wife, Frances Robinson, of negligence, creating a hostile work environment, sexual harassment, and causing emotional distress.

In the 27-page complaint, the women alleged that Robinson would find ways to isolate them at his homes in the San Fernando Valley and Las Vegas and force them into sexual contact despite their protests. Jane Doe 1 alleged Robinson sexually battered her at least seven times between January 2023 and February 2024. She claimed Robinson would take his wife to a nail salon, rush home, and then lure her into his “blue bedroom,” where he would lock the door and place a white towel on his bed so he wouldn’t “soil the bed lines.” The woman claimed Robinson ignored her resistance and would “roughly penetrate” her without using a condom.

Jane Doe 2 alleged she worked for Robinson and his wife between May 2014 and February 2020. She claimed Robinson forced her into unwanted sexual acts on at least 23 occasions. She said Robinson would force her to perform oral sex on him before he penetrated her without using a condom. She claimed he “enjoyed ejaculating all over [her] face, much to his satisfaction and her abject humiliation.”

In their cross-complaint, Robinson and his wife claimed the former housekeepers conspired with their lawyers to make “slanderous statements” against the couple at their press conference. They claimed the Jane Does and their lawyers “fabricated” the claims to extort money.

According to the Robinsons, they treated the women “as extended family” during their employment, giving them autonomy in their jobs and substantial gifts, including money for dental work, clothing, vacations, concert tickets, and even a car in one case.

Trending Stories

“The depths of plaintiffs’ avarice and greed know no bounds. During the very time that the Robinsons were being extraordinarily generous with plaintiffs, plaintiffs were concocting an extortionate plan to take everything from the Robinsons – everything over and above what they were freely given – and wrongfully destroy the Robinsons’ well-built reputations,” the 19-page cross-complaint obtained by Rolling Stone said.

Lawyers for the women did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday.

Spinal Tap Reacts to ‘This Is Spinal Tap’ Documentary, Reuniting: Watch

by jummy84 September 11, 2025
written by jummy84

Spinal Tap members David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean) and Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest) sat down with Billboard to discuss reuniting for their final show and letting film director Martin Di Bergi create another documentary following the success of 1984’s This Is Spinal Tap.

Nigel Tufnel: It was a surprise to all of us.  Yeah, it was weird because we hadn’t spoken in 15 years. It felt like it was just yesterday that … because you look and there, everyone’s in the same place.

David St. Hubbins: Pretty much looking the same, more tattoos.

Nigel Tufnel: Except old. Yeah, you see, you think, “Oh, that’s weird, there’s an old man singing.” And you go, “Oh, that’s me.”

David St. Hubbins: He thought that he really took–

Nigel Tufnel: Umbrage?

David St. Hubbins: The unsuccessful things that happened on the tour. That’s what he wanted to go for. He said, “If it bleeds, it leads.” We don’t even know what that means now, but he wanted to go with the bad news. Here’s the bad news, and we felt ridiculed, and it wasn’t a good feeling.

Nigel Tufnel: Us being lost. Everyone gets lost once in a while. It’s only happened to us, what, 10 or 12 times, in many years.

David St. Hubbins: Nothing more together.

Nigel Tufnel: More than 15 times.

David St. Hubbins: Fun times.

Nigel Tufnel: Sometimes going to the stage. And it happens in classical music a lot. You know, you’ve got 80 string players.

David St. Hubbins: Especially the cellists.

Nigel Tufnel: The cellists, they’re always getting lost because–

David St. Hubbins: They’re all walking around like, basically, you know.

Nigel Tufnel: We haven’t seen the new one yet.

Keep watching for more!

Comedy Central has temporarily removed the South Park episode “Got a Nut,” the second episode of the show’s ongoing Season 27, from cable rotation following the killing of Charlie Kirk.

According to Newsweek, Comedy Central was scheduled to rerun “Got a Nut” Wednesday night as part of a block that was airing all three available episodes of Season 27. They ultimately pulled the episode, which satirized Kirk via Eric Cartman, from the schedule in the wake of the political figure’s death.

Comedy Central, Paramount, and the South Park team all have yet to comment, but confirmed the episode will remain absent from cable for the time being, as reported by the New York Post.

Notably, “Got a Nut” remains available to stream on both Paramount+ and YouTube TV.

Kodak Black Hit On Mariah The Scientist During Young Thug’s Jail Stint

Amid conversation surround what Atlanta rapper Young Thug has said on a number of leaked jail calls, the words of his girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist, are now under the spotlight, as she shared with her jailed beau at the time that rapper Kodak Black began hitting on her when Thugger was arrested on RICO charges in 2022.

The leaked audio finds the “Burning Blue” songstress sharing with her man that she feels the need to tell him “everything,” and goes on to read a message from a rapper who slid into her DMs. While the message starts off with well wishes for Young Thug, the sender then pivots into suggesting she should consider seeing him while the Business Is Business artist is locked up.

“But in the meantime, shawty, I’ve been f**ked up about you, and I just can’t put that to rest,” the man wrote. “I’d love to come to some kind of terms with you, bae. You know it’s queen treatment only.”

She then tells Young Thug her response, saying she told the sender, “I got a man and I ain’t going against what I got.” After asking him to guess who sent the DM, Thugger responds, “I don’t like guessing,” leading her to name Kodak Black. Listen to the leaked call below.

While this call revealed the “IDGAF” singer’s loyalty, previous leaked calls from Young Thug have shown just the opposite, as he admitted to cheating on the songstress at least two times on recorded audio. This includes admitting to sleeping with another woman the day before his RICO arrest, and a confession that he had sex with a corrections officer while behind bars. Listen to that audio below.

Young Thug issued an apology after the call leaked via X, writing, “My baby I was wrong and I’m sorry for what I put u through. U deserved better from me. Thank you for everything and I will do anything to make this work. U showed me what love is and I hope I haven’t lost u forever… everybody leave her out of this please she’s an innocent girl and feels bad about all of this. Please give her peace.”

Previously leaked jail calls also include the “Money On Money” rapper disparaging GloRilla, Future, Drake, Gunna, and others, as well as admitting to buying fake streams. In addition to Mariah, Young Thug also issued an apology to his peers.

“To everyone involved in this situation, I’m sorry this is happening, and I hope u guys can forgive me,” he wrote. “I’m moving forward with my life -THANK U GOD.”
