To assemble

  • Top the set coconut pudding with a generous spoon of blueberry compote.

Ingredients:

A. For the cake

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup plant milk (almond, soy, or oat)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup neutral oil (such as sunflower or canola)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

B. For the soak (“three milks”)

  • ½ cup vegan condensed milk (coconut-based or oat)
  • ½ cup full-fat coconut milk or coconut cream
  • ½ cup plant milk of choice
  • 1 tsp rose water (optional but recommended)

C. For the topping

  • 1 cup vegan whipped cream
  • 2 Tbsp crushed pistachios
  • 2 Tbsp edible rose petals

Method:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  • Make vegan buttermilk: Combine the plant milk and vinegar; let sit for 5 minutes to curdle slightly.
  • Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add oil, vanilla, and the buttermilk mixture; stir gently until smooth.
  • Bake: Pour into the prepared pan and bake 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes.
  • Soak: In a separate bowl, whisk together the three milks and rose water. Poke small holes all over the cake with a fork, then slowly pour the milk mixture evenly over the top. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or overnight, to allow the cake to absorb the liquid.
  • Finish and serve: Spread the whipped cream over the chilled cake, then sprinkle with pistachios and rose petals. Serve cold.
  • Chef’s tips: Use food-grade rose petals and pure rose water for the best aroma. A little goes a long way. To intensify the nutty flavour, add 1–2 tablespoons of finely ground pistachios to the batter. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; the texture improves as it rests.

Emma Stone’s Bugonia Dialogues: The Most Mind-Blowing Revelation Of The Year! | Glamsham.com

written by jummy84

With a few months left in the year, moviegoers still have plenty to look forward to — and Yorgos Lanthimos’ upcoming film Bugonia is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated releases of the season. Known for his unique cinematic style (The Favourite, Poor Things), Lanthimos returns with a darkly humorous, genre-bending tale that blends conspiracy, sci-fi, and psychological tension.

Bugonia stars Emma Stone as Michelle, a powerful, self-assured corporate executive whose life is turned upside down when she is kidnapped by two eccentric men obsessed with conspiracy theories. But this isn’t a standard kidnapping — there’s no demand for ransom, no threats over money or power. Instead, her captors are convinced that Michelle is not a human being, but an alien sent to Earth as part of a plot to destroy it.

The trailer hints at an offbeat and chaotic ride, with Michelle desperately trying to reason with her abductors, only to realize that logic doesn’t work when you’re up against delusion. At one point, in an effort to escape the endless interrogation, she even sarcastically confesses to being an alien — a moment met with skepticism. “The truth, lies, what’s the difference?” she asks, summing up the film’s themes of perception, identity, and control.

Lanthimos’ signature style is on full display, with disorienting camera angles, surreal color palettes, and an atmosphere teetering between absurdity and dread. As the kidnappers’ plan unravels, the lines between reality and belief become increasingly blurred.

Joining Stone in the cast are Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Vanessa Eng, Cedric Dumornay, and Alicia Silverstone. With its mysterious premise and razor-sharp satire, Bugonia promises a thrilling and unconventional addition to this year’s lineup of monster and alien-themed films.

Bollywood lost veteran actor Pankaj Dheer to cancer on October 15, 2025, at the age of 68 after a long fight against the disease. The late actor, remembered most for his classic performance of Karna in BR Chopra’s Mahabharat, was cremated in Mumbai on Tuesday night. Some celebrities from the television and film industry came to pay their respects.

Superstar Salman Khan was one of the prominent faces in attendance at the cremation. Donning a plain olive-green shirt, Salman appeared visibly shaken while paying condolences to mournful Dheer family. Actor Mukesh Rishi and fellow industry members also joined the funeral, bearing witness in solidarity on the grim occasion. Pankaj Dheer’s son and actor Nikitin Dheer looked shattered as he walked beside his father’s last rites.

Earlier today, the Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) announced the news of Dheer’s death in an official statement:
“With deep grief and heartfelt sorrow, we regret to inform you about the sad demise of our Trust’s former Chairman and CINTAA’s ex-Hon. General Secretary, Shri Pankaj Dheer ji, on 15th October 2025.”

Pankaj Dheer became a household name towards the late 1980s with his strong and noble acting as Karna in Mahabharat, a role that is still among Indian television’s most enduring images. He went on to play leading roles in popular TV shows such as Chandrakanta, The Great Maratha, Yug, and Kanoon. His authoritative air and deep voice gained him vast admiration across age groups.

Besides television, he also earned a place in Sanam Bewafa, Baadshah, and Sasural Simar Ka films. He has also directed My Father Godfather and has founded the Abhinay Acting Academy to train young actors.

Sunjay Kapur’s Birthday: Priya Sachdev’s Emotional Post Amidst Estate Battle | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 October 15, 2025
written by jummy84

On the birth anniversary of late businessman Sunjay Kapur, his wife Priya Sachdev Kapur took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute, despite the ongoing legal battle surrounding his will. Her emotional post included a touching video montage featuring cherished memories with Sunjay — notably including his children with ex-wife Karisma Kapoor, Samara and Kiaan, amid their contentious inheritance dispute.

Priya captioned the video with a quote from the Bhagavad Gītā: “Whatever action a great man performs, others follow. Whatever path he walks, the world pursues… He who lives with purpose and love never perishes.” She continued with a moving personal message, writing, “You lived these words without ever needing to speak them. You led with kindness, not command… You never spoke of faith, you lived it.” She added, “Even now, your presence feels like quiet strength beside me… Some souls don’t depart; they expand. You are everywhere, yet still right here. My Sunjay, I know you are watching over me. Happy Birthday, J.”

While many praised Priya’s tribute and flooded the post with support, others were quick to point out the inclusion of Karisma Kapoor’s children in the video, given their ongoing legal battle with Priya over Sunjay’s estimated ₹30,000-crore estate.

The inheritance case, currently before the Delhi High Court, took a heated turn recently when Senior Advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, representing Karisma’s children, accused Priya of being “an acute gambler” and questioned the authenticity of the will. He claimed the will showed “serious infirmities” and lacked proof of being prepared or approved by Sunjay Kapur.

Karisma’s children, Samara and Kiaan, allege Priya manipulated or forged the will to secure a larger share of the inheritance. They have previously described her as a “Cinderella stepmother,” accusing her of mistreatment and exclusion.

The legal battle continues to unfold.

101-year-old man who survived coma, heart attack, fought in World War II shares 7 habits that contributed to long life

by jummy84 October 15, 2025
written by jummy84

American centenarian Si Liberman, 101, has shared his seven ‘longevity tips’, drawing from his remarkable life experiences, including surviving a coma, the Great Depression, a heart attack, and enemy fire over Nazi Germany in World War II. In an October 13 piece he wrote for The Washington Post, Si, shared seven hard-earned tips he picked up along the way that contributed to his long life. Si Liberman, 101, attributes his longevity partly to not smoking, a habit prevalent among his peers when he was young.

He wrote in the article titled, ‘I’m 101 years old: Here are 7 things I think are ‘longevity secrets’:

1. Focus on relationships

“I’ve been very lucky. I’ve been married for 76 years to my wife, Dorothy, 97. We have two terrific children who we’re very close to, and two grandchildren who always keep in touch,” Si said.

2. Don’t smoke

He added, “Most everyone smoked when I was young, but I didn’t. When I started dating my wife, she was smoking now and again, but I got her to quit.”

3. Exercise and eat healthy

“We’ve always tried to eat healthy. I have fruit for breakfast and eat a lot of fish. After moving to Florida 14 years ago, my routine has included walking on the beach followed by swimming in our building’s pool,” Si said.

4. Have a positive attitude

“Despite having to get through some dark days, I’ve never been down for very long. If I have a cold, I think it will be better soon. If I’m going through a rough time, I think I just have to live through it and things will look up. I think attitude is highly underrated and can’t be underestimated,” Si added.

5. Get appropriate medical care

He also said, “I’ve benefited from the scientific progress we’ve made in treating health conditions and what I would call the miracles of modern medicine. We’ve always been careful and had routine appointments with doctors.”

6. Do work you find meaningful

Si said, “When I was working, I was editor of the Asbury Park Sunday Press, a privately owned paper. It was a challenging and rewarding job as a journalist for more than 40 years. And I still do a little writing to keep busy.”

7. Be a little lucky

He concluded, “I believe I’ve been a lucky guy in a 79-year relationship with my wife. Though she’s had some memory problems since falling several times, she always remembers to exchange kisses before we go to sleep at night. Living with someone you care about, who also cares about you, really helps.”

Anil Kapoor, the greatest and most versatile actor of Indian cinema, has formally completed dubbing his action-drama Subedaar, which is helmed by director Suresh Triveni. The news was broken through a strong behind-the-scenes post done by the director himself, generating huge buzz among the fans. With this, much-awaited film has moved an inch closer to the box office, increasing anticipation to what will be one of the most gripping cinematic experiences of the year.

Suresh Triveni took to Twitter to post an evocative picture from the dubbing studio, with Anil Kapoor and veteran actor Saurabh Shukla. Both actors are completely in the zone, their faces conveying the film’s intense emotional core. The gritty black-and-white photo captures the raw realism and emotional heft of Subedaar to perfection, and builds towards a story rich in layered human drama and action.

Directed in the heartlands of India, Subedaar traces Arjun Singh, a retired soldier who is facing challenges to life in the civilian sector. With memories from his past lingering in his mind and a troubled relationship with his daughter to deal with, Arjun has both internal and external conflicts to fight. The movie delves into issues of duty, loss, sacrifice, and redemption, giving viewers a deeply emotional and action-packed ride.

Earlier this year, Anil Kapoor had announced the completion of the film’s shoot with a heartfelt note. Sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses, he expressed gratitude to the cast and crew, calling Subedaar “a testament to passion and commitment.” He wrote, “I can’t wait for the world to witness what we’ve created together in 2025,” signaling just how special the project is to him.

One of the scenes from the dubbing session has already gone viral — Anil putting in a commanding performance of the line, “Gaur Se Suno!! Subedaar Bol Rahe Hain.” The powerful one has connected with fans, adding more to the buzz about the movie.

Scheduled for a grand cinematic release in 2025, Subedaar is a gripping mix of action, emotion, and psychological depth that promises to deliver. For Anil Kapoor, it is another bold and churning role in an illustrious career.

The actor meanwhile will also feature in Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand’s next project King, also featuring Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, and Abhay Verma.

Author Chetan Bhagat: I don’t, but Indians care about films because they don’t read books

For the 90s kids thriving on Reddit today, the most pop-ular (or unpopular) author back then was Chetan Bhagat. His dealing of nonchalant characters, with rarely something unique, gained popularity for falling into familiar tropes and got much-talked about. So much so that Chetan’s books even became instant fodder for mainstream Indian cinema.

Author Chetan Bhagat talks about his new book, 12 Years, and how he managed to delve into the world of new age romances at 51.

Cut to 2025, the world has moved on, and so have the modern day characters or couples. Now, those living in the age of situationships have got a new talking-point with Chetan 2.0 returning to his OG loved-genre of love stories.

Excerpts from an interview:

Q. It’s 12 years since you last wrote about romance. The world has changed, and you’re back to writing the same genre. Why an old formula?

People love my love stories and that’s because there’s no formula in them. Each time it’s a fresh take on fresh issues. The age gap romance, in 12 Years, seemed bold and fresh and something I had not attempted yet. That’s why I felt it had something unique, which made me get back to love stories after more than a decade.

Q. So, this genre is not chosen with the agenda that it gets adapted for the screen; like your previous works?

That carries an assumption that I care a lot for the screen. I don’t care; Indians care because they don’t read books. So they are always asking me, ‘When is the movie coming?’ As if movie is the ultimate Nobel Prize! They believe that in Indian society films are up in the hierarchy of art forms; but it’s not. Films are the lazy man’s form of art consumption. I’ve had five adaptations of my works, and been part of six movies. It took a good amount of time from my life. But, I’ve reached an age where I don’t care much for that. I mean, ultimately, the joy you get from reading 2 States (his last book in the same genre), you’re not going to get from watching the movie.

Any book will trigger a reader’s imagination… I was also in a phase where I was fascinated by Bollywood. I grew up watching movies and saw the same actors call me to say, ‘We love your stories’. Of course you get carried away… But, finally, I realised that the true essence of what I enjoy doing is not that… For me, the biggest creative satisfaction come from writing a fresh story with fresh conflict and societal observations.

Q. How did you rewire yourself as a writer, to adapt to the modern age of ‘situationships’?

When my first book came out, there were no smartphones or even cellphones. I remember people used to tell me how they’d tear up the books in parts to exchange and read… Today, everybody has a phone in their pocket and is constantly entertained. So I had to change my plots too, embrace videos and social media and maybe that’s the reason I’m still around. I’ve tried to change and see the new generation non-judgmentally. Like I didn’t understand ghosting. For my value system it’s very rude. But I’m trying to come to terms with this, and the times we live in.

It’s a 51-year-old man writing a story about a 33-year-old guy falling in love with a 21-year-old girl. If not executed right, this bold story could’ve come across as creepy, strange and weird. But after 21 years of writing, I think I’ve reached a stage where I can handle this all, sensitively.
