“It just comes down to one question. Who owns our days?” Mubi has revealed the full official US trailer for La Grazia, the latest Italian film made by acclaimed filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino following his flop last year Parthenope. This one premiered at the 2025 Venice Film Festival a few months ago as the Opening Night Film in the competition. It won the Best Actor award for the lead star who really is tremendous in this film. A sweeping exploration of love, morality, and a man’s legacy. A widowed Italian president faces moral crises over euthanasia legislation and pardoning killers while grappling with his late wife’s infidelity during his final months in office. Toni Servillo stars as Italian President Mariano De Santis, who is on his final few months before leaving. The cast includes Anna Ferzetti, Orlando Cinque, Massimo Venturiello, and Milvia Marigliano. This is worth watching just for Servillo, whose layered performance features the grace and complexity necessary for this complex role. The rest of it – well that’s up to you. It received mixed reviews playing at the film festivals this fall and opens in limited theaters starting in December. View below.

Here’s the official US trailer (+ poster) for Paolo Sorrentino’s film La Grazia, direct from Mubi’s YouTube:

La Grazia Trailer

La Grazia Poster

Mariano De Santis is the President of the Italian Republic. No connection to any real-life presidents; he is entirely a product of the author’s imagination. A widower and a Catholic, he has a daughter, Dorotea, a legal scholar like himself. As his term draws to a close, amid uneventful days, two final duties arise: deciding on two delicate petitions for a presidential pardon. True moral dilemmas, which become tangled, in ways that seem impossible to unravel, with his private life. Driven by doubt, he will have to decide. And, with a deep sense of responsibility, that is exactly what this remarkable Italian President will do. La Grazia is written and directed by the acclaimed Italian filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino, director of the films One Man Up, The Consequences of Love, The Family Friend, Il Divo, This Must Be the Place, The Great Beauty, Youth, Loro, The Hand of God, and Parthenope previously. Produced by Annamaria Morelli and Paolo Sorrentino, and by Andrea Scrosati for Fremantle, and Massimiliano Orfei, Luisa Borella, and Davide Novelli for PiperFilm. This initially premiered at the 2025 Venice Film Festival this fall. Mubi will release Sorrentino’s La Grazia in select US theaters starting December 5th, 2025 coming soon. Look any good?

Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi may be best known for her decades-long political career, but at home she was also a devoted mother of five. While raising her children in San Francisco, Pelosi balanced full-time motherhood with a relentlessly demanding public life. According to the biography Madam Speaker: Nancy Pelosi and the Lessons of Power, she was a firm parent with a whimsical side.

Her family life took a harrowing turn when, on October 28, 2022, her husband Paul Pelosi was violently attacked by an intruder at their residence—a dramatic incident widely reported and sharply reminding the nation of the personal cost of public service.

Now, as Pelosi announces her retirement from Congress after nearly 40 years in office, the spotlight is also turning to her home front: her five children, their families and careers, and how they navigate life in the long shadow of a political icon. Keep reading to find out about her children below.

Nancy and Alexandra Pelosi (Lev Radin)

Alexandra Pelosi

Alexandra is Nancy Pelosi’s youngest daughter. An Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker and journalist, Alexandra’s most recent work is her 2020 Showtime documentary: American Selfie: One Nation Shoots Itself. The film chronicles New York City during the beginning of the pandemic in March and April of 2020, highlighting America’s darkest moments.

“The purpose of this film was to make an artifact of how America looks in 2020 so that future generations can look back at this moment in time and say, ‘Oh, that’s where it all went down, it all fell apart,” Alexandra said in an EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with HollywoodLife. Another strong angle of the documentary is highlighting the negative effects that social media has on society’s mental health, especially when it comes to the constant spreading misinformation.

Another notable work of hers includes Journey’s with George, a six time Emmy-nominated film she made while following George W. Bush‘s 2000 presidential campaign while she worked with NBC. Although Alexandra is liberal leaning herself, she likes to keep an open mind. “How boring of a world is it to live in a place where everybody agrees with each other?” she said.

Paul Pelsoi Jr.

Paul Pelosi Jr, Nancy’s only son, is a business analyst and real estate broker, according to the U.S Sun. He has been tied to various fraud and bribery schemes, according to the Daily Mail. Via the report, Paul was hired by several businesses that have allegedly been investigated by the Security and Exchange Commission.

For example, in 2007, he was appointed as Senior Vice President of InfoUSA, which investigated the founder for allegedly flying Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton on private jets. However, the charges were dropped, according to the New York Post.

Paul was also the co-founder of an environmentally friendly company called Natural Blue Resources Inc, which was later charged with fraud. The company was allegedly being run by a man named Joseph Corazzi, who was not legally allowed to be an officer of a public company, according to Forbes. This is because Corazzi allegedly overstated his assets in a 2002 case.

However, Paul was fired from Natural Blue Resources Inc due to fundraising contracts, and the SEC stated that Paul wasn’t involved in the reason why the company was being investigated. Currently, Paul has never been charged with a crime himself.

Christine Pelosi
Christine Pelosi (Rich Pedroncelli/AP/Shutterstock)

Christine Pelosi

Like her mother, Christine Pelosi is part of the Democratic party, currently serving in the California Democratic Party Women’s Caucus Chair. She is also a former attorney, receiving her law degree from the University of California, according to The Huffington Post. She was written successful books, titled Campaign Boot Camp: Basic Training for Future Leaders and Campaign Boot Camp 2.0, using the material to guide her leadership bootcamps. She has also been writing articles for The Huffington Post since 2007. Christine currently has a daughter Isabella with her husband Pete Kaufman, who is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker.

Christine did face some backlash in March 2020 for a tweet, where she made light of a 2017 incident where Senator Rand Paul was attacked by a neighbor. Rene Boucher attacked Rand while he was doing yard work in 2017 and was later charged with felony assault and sentenced to months in prison. After the senator tested positive for COVID-19 in March 2020, Christine took to Twitter and shared a message that said, “Rand Paul’s neighbor was right.” The tweet was removed for violating Twitter’s Rules.

Nancy Corinne Pelosi

Nancy Pelosi’s eldest daughter Nancy Corrine was born in 1964. When she got married in 2008 to businessman Theodore Jeffery Prowda, she changed her name to Nancy Prowda. Although she has stayed mainly out of the spotlight and little is known about her career, she briefly opened up to The Washington Post in 2019 about her mother’s parenting and political style. “She has a way of delivering her message to the intended without rubbing their face in it — without directly telling them why she’s so disappointed. It’d be better if she’d just get mad at you” she said.

Jacqueline Pelosi

Out of all of Nancy Pelosi’s children, Jacqueline has kept her life the most private. She reportedly currently owns and teaches at an art studio, and has three sons with her husband Michael Kenneally.

Hot Air Balloon Survival Thriller ‘Turbulence’ Trailer with Jeremy Irvine

by Alex Billington
November 5, 2025

“You’re not getting away with this…” Lionsgate has debute their trailer for a movie called Turbulence, an intense action thriller survival movie from Swiss filmmaker Claudio Fäh. He’s known for making schlocky direct-to-video action movies and this definitely looks direct-to-VOD quality. Young married couple Zach & Emmy decide to take a hot air balloon trip across the Italian Dolomites to rekindle their relationship. When they and pilot Harry are joined by a third passenger, Julia, events unfold in ways in which they could never imagine 5000 meters (or ~16,400 feet) in the air. In this high-octane action thriller, what should have been the trip of a lifetime turns to disaster as the dark secrets harbored by the passengers are revealed & the wrath of nature is unleashed. With Hera Hilmar, Jeremy Irvine, Kelsey Grammer, Olga Kurylenko. Any guesses on what the “dark secret” will be? How will they get out of this safely? I love “99 Red Balloons” but the song clips they use in this trailer are so bad. The whole film looks way too cheap & cheesy to watch.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Claudio Fäh’s thriller movie Turbulence, direct from YouTube:

Turbulence Poster

Zach & Emmy’s (Jeremy Irvine & Hera Hilmar) romantic retreat on a hot air balloon takes a terrifying turn when they are hijacked by a sinister third passenger with a link to Zach’s past. As the mystery of their secret relationship is revealed, their spectacular ride becomes a brutal mental chess match and a lethal battle high in the sky. Kelsey Grammer leads a brilliant cast in this psychological thriller that will keep you guessing until the very last moment. Turbulence is directed by Swiss filmmaker Claudio Fäh, director of the movies Coronado, Hollow Man II, Sniper: Reloaded, Northmen: A Viking Saga, Beyond Valkyrie, Sniper: Ultimate Kill, No Way Up, and also the series “Wilder”. The screenplay is written by Andy Mayson. Produced by Richard J. Berthy, Amanda Bowers, Molly Conners, Andy Mayson. Lionsgate will debut Fäh’s Turbulence movie in select US theaters + on VOD starting December 12th, 2025 coming up. Look scary?

NAWI: A Story That Challenges Our Humanity

by jummy84 November 6, 2025
written by jummy84

By Tanasha Allwood | Eyes On Hollywood Media Coverage
Opening Night Feature – 7th Annual DaVinci International Film Festival

A Film That Awakens the Soul

Set against the breathtaking and emotional backdrop of Kenya, NAWI opened the 7th Annual DaVinci International Film Festival with a story that moved audiences to silence.

Based on true events, the film follows a 13-year-old girl confronting the devastating reality of being married off—despite her dream of continuing her education and shaping her own future.

Powerful and poetic, NAWI reveals the intersection of tradition, poverty, and gender inequality while celebrating the unbreakable spirit of a young girl who refuses to give up on her destiny.

“Films like NAWI hold up a mirror to our shared humanity—and remind us that empathy without action changes nothing.”

The Power of Perspective

Beyond its stunning cinematography and moving performances, NAWI compels us to ask deeper questions:

Why are we here? What is our true purpose as human beings—beyond ambition or comfort? And how can we collectively make this world a better place?

The film challenges audiences to confront their privilege and remember that education, freedom, and choice are still luxuries for many around the world. For countless young girls, these are daily battles.

Empowerment Redefined

At its core, NAWI is about empowerment, raw, quiet, and deeply human. Not the kind framed in hashtags or campaigns, but the fierce inner strength of a girl who refuses to surrender her dreams.

“The true power of storytelling is not just in how it makes us feel, but in how it moves us to act.”

The film’s message extends far beyond Kenya’s borders. It’s a global reminder that gender equality and access to education remain urgent causes, and that art can ignite change where words alone fall short.

Art That Calls Us Higher

As the credits rolled and the audience rose in applause, a stillness filled the room,a collective realization that art, when rooted in truth, can awaken compassion and inspire transformation.

The DaVinci International Film Festival continues to spotlight films that illuminate the human experience and elevate global consciousness. NAWI stands as a striking example of cinema that doesn’t just entertain,it inspires action, reflection, and connection.

“NAWI doesn’t just tell a story. It starts a conversation, one that asks how each of us can use our voice to create a more compassionate world.”

“I just want to wake up in the morning & feel something.” Allen Media Group has unveiled an official trailer for a movie called Sheepdog, a story about US veterans and their mental health struggles. This isn’t the first film to deal with this topic, there’s actually quite a few of them recently (and I will also recommend My Dead Friend Zoe). A decorated combat veteran is court ordered into treatment when an ex-convict shows up on his doorstep and explains he must work to put himself back together again. Shot on location in Western Massachusetts, Sheepdog is the first film that truly explores the physical & psychological repercussions of trauma, with a focus on Post Traumatic Growth (PTG). It is an uplifting original story, inspired by countless first-hand testimonials about recovery, redemption, and the journey of healing; themes that now mirror our post-pandemic zeitgeist. This stars Steven Grayhm, Vondie Curtis Hall, Virginia Madsen, Dominic Fumusa, Lilli Cooper, and Matt Dallas. Alas this is not about a sheepdog, only about veterans & trauma.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Steven Grayhm’s film Sheepdog, direct from YouTube:

Sheepdog Poster

Decorated U.S. Army combat veteran Calvin Cole (Steven Grayhm), is court ordered into treatment and into the care of a VA trauma therapist in-training (Virginia Madsen), who works the night shift at a local diner to pay for college. Things become even more complicated when Calvin’s father-in-law and retired Vietnam Veteran (Vondie Curtis Hall), shows up on his doorstep, having just been released from prison. As Calvin’s plan to run away from his life becomes impossible, he learns with support from his community, tough love, and compassion that he must put himself back together again for his family – and for himself. Sheepdog is written and directed by Canadian-American filmmaker Steven Grayhm, director of the film The Secret of Sinchanee previously and a few other short films. Produced by Lynn K. D’Angona, Matt Dallas, Steven Grayhm, P. Colin Kane, Jose Martinez Jr. Allen Media Group will debut Grayhm’s Sheepdog film in select US theaters starting in December 2025 later this year. Let them fight? Why not. Along with the awesome new Predator: Badlands movie hitting theaters this week, there’s an awesome new fan-made short film to enjoy as well. Predator: Fire and Stone is a quick 3-1/2 minute animated sci-fi action short made by a collection of young filmmakers – going under a series of online handles: Bauan Edits, Mr. Vega, and Fuzzeke on the music. The short is also inspired by a comic book series from a few years ago also called Predator: Fire and Stone, featuring this storyline crossover between two sci-fi creations: Prometheus and Predator. The short film features a fight scene between an Engineer humanoid from Ridley Scott’s Prometheus (2012) movie who ends up attacked by a Predator Yautja. There’s not much more to the showdown than this. I guess it’s a riff on thinking these Engineer creatures would be formidable, but of course Predators always win any fight. Glad this was made by people not AI. Check it out.

Predator: Fire and Stone Short Film

Thanks to Bauan Edits on Twitter for the tip on this new short. Very brief synopsis from YouTube: “An epic encounter between a Predator and an Engineer.” Inspired by the iconic Dark Horse Comics event “Fire and Stone” from 2015, written by Joshua Williamson with art by Christopher Mooneyham and inspired by the animation style seen in Predator: Killer of Killers, directed by Dan Trachtenberg and co-directed by Josh Wassung. Predator: Fire and Stone is a short film created and directed by young filmmaker “Mr. Vega” aka Luis B. Vega from Lima, Peru – you can view more of his work on his YouTube page for follow him on IG @mrvegaofficial. He primarily uses Blender. Featuring an original score by “Fuzzeke” (@fuzzeke). With mocap and sound design by YouTube creator Bauan Edits (@bauanedits). And 3D animation by Mr. Vega. Posted on their YouTube – for more info click there. 5 Things to Know About the NYC Mayor-Elect – Hollywood Life

5 Things to Know About the NYC Mayor-Elect – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 November 6, 2025
written by jummy84

Image Credit: Corbis via Getty Images

At 34 years old, Astoria-based Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani made history by clinching the mayoral race, outpacing former Governor Andrew Cuomo in the November 2025 election, and energizing a new wave of progressive voters. His platform — focused on rent control, free public transit, and universal childcare — drew national attention and positioned him as a bold challenger to the city’s political establishment.

So, who is Zohran Mamdani? Hollywood Life has rounded up five facts about him below.

Zohran Mamdani Was Born in Uganda With Indian Descent

Born in Uganda and raised, in part, in Cape Town, South Africa, Zohran’s family moved to New York City when he was 7 years old.

Zohran Mamdani Worked as a Foreclosure Prevention Counselor

Before getting into politics, Zohran worked as a foreclosure prevention and housing counselor in Queens, New York, to assist low-income families and homeowners of color who were facing eviction.

Zohran Mamdani Has Produced Rap Music

While juggling his political and public service career in New York, Zohran has also pursued another passion: rap music! Under several monikers, he’s composed and produced hip-hop songs. In 2016, he went by the name “Young Cardamom” and collaborated with Ugandan rapper HAB on an EP. Three years later, Zohran released a single titled “Nani” under the moniker “Mr. Cardamom.”

Zohran Mamdani Is Married

In early 2025, Zohran married Rama Duwaji, a Syrian artist.

Zohran Mamdani Endorsed His Mayoral Opponent, Brad Lander

During the Democratic primary, Zohran and New York City comptroller Brad Lander aligned themselves as political allies. Both strongly opposed Andrew’s return to city politics and even endorsed one another as part of a joint effort to block his path back to power. Appearing together on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in June 2025, the two spoke about their shared vision for a “more civilized future” in New York politics and vowed to support each other.

The race quickly grew heated in the final weeks before the primary. According to AMNY, Andrew accused Zohran of treating the mayor’s office as “a messenger’s job” and focusing only on “public relations,” while Zohran fired back, charging Andrew with “weaponizing this very real crisis and using billionaire money to spew hate.”

“He and other candidates have used words describing me as a monster as dangerous as being at the gates, language that is more befitting of a beast than a person,” Zohran claimed about Andrew.

Sophie Rose Gutterman Reveals the Ultimate Holiday 2025 Hair Edit: Which Trends to Try (and Skip)

by jummy84 November 6, 2025
written by jummy84

Sleigh your holiday hair! Celebrity hairstylist Sophie Rose Gutterman, who has worked with Emmy Rossum, Nicky Hilton, Karlie Kloss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jackie Tohn, is spilling her mane do’s and don’ts for the upcoming holiday season with ET.

While prepping for parties can feel stressful, Gutterman says keeping your strands low-key with high shine is essential for a festive celebration.

“Start with moisture and a good leave-in product like the Curlsmith Moisture Memory Weightless Leave-In Release or Double Cream Deep Quencher to guarantee hydration and prevent frizz. … Apply it to wet hair from the mid-lengths to ends and try a slicked back bun. It’s a heatless style that looks chic and helps treat the hair,” she explains.

Nicky Hilton/Instagram

If you want to take it up a notch while still letting your sparkly outfit shine, the hair expert suggests leaning on simple accessories.

“Working with clothes is always recommended, but that doesn’t mean you have to completely tone it down. … While hair may sometimes have to take a back seat to a high collar or sequins, it’s still fun to create statements that speak beyond the wardrobe.”

Her pick this year: “Balenciaga recently did a fashion show featuring tons of bows, and my client who attended wore one with a half-up style and face framing bangs. It was so fun.”

It’s also important to avoid overdoing your locks so that you look good (and feel good) while mingling.
