Orthopaedic surgeon shares age-wise tips for strong bones: From teens, 20s to 30s

Bone health evolves as you age. Long before bone issues begin to show up, you need to start adopting habits that help in maintaining strength, flexibility and density. Building bone strength is essential as it reduces the risks of fractures, joint issues and osteoporosis. Lifestyle habits, from exercise to diet, support bone health, keeping you resilient even in later years.

To understand what should be the bone health priorities for each age group, HT Lifestyle reached out to Dr Amyn Rajani, Mumbai-based orthopaedic surgeon specialising in arthroscopy, joint replacement and sports injuries. As per him, the foundation of bone strength is laid much earlier in life, even before you enter your 30s.

“Bones are living tissue. They continuously remodel themselves, building and breaking down throughout life,” Dr Rajani added, highlighting that habits and lifestyle choices contribute to lifelong bone health.

Tweaking the lifestyle choices is essential because Dr Ranjan asserted that the 30s mark the stage of peak bone mass, the point at which bones are at their strongest and densest. The habits formed in your teens and 20s influence the shaping of bone health later in life.

Teens (13–19 years)

As per the doctor, almost 90% of total bone mass develops during adolescence, from puberty to the late teens. Habits during this time lay the foundation for lifelong bone health.

Dr Rajani recommended focusing on nutrition.“Calcium and Vitamin D are vital for bone growth. Include milk, yoghurt, cheese, green veggies and almonds in the diet. Get 15-20 minutes of sunlight daily for Vitamin D,” he recommended.

During this time, one should also focus on physical activities and avoid certain postures. Elaborating on this, the orthopaedic surgeon added, “To develop dense and strong bones, teenagers must lead an active life, especially with weight-bearing exercises such as running, skipping, basketball, or dancing. They must also be careful not to spend long hours bent over mobile phones or routinely carry heavy loads such as bags, as these can affect the alignment of their spine. ”

Teenagers may also have the habit of indulging in junk food. But the orthopaedic surgeon cautioned, “Teens should avoid sugary soft drinks and processed foods as these can interfere with the body’s ability to absorb calcium, which would eventually lead to less strong bones.”

Twenties

Next up, for the twenties, Dr Ranjani revealed that it’s a decade of changes, juggling jobs, studies and social activities. But one shouldn’t neglect bone health.

Dr Ranjani emphasised staying active.“At this age, one must aim for at least 30–45 minutes of physical activity daily, such as walking, cycling, lifting weights, or playing a physical sport.”

The phase of the twenties also sees a lot of work pressure, stuck in front of a laptop for long hours. But it is vital to take necessary breaks and maintain posture for bone health.“Today, when most people spend too much time looking at digital screens, it is easy to forget that our body posture deserves our attention and care too. For better skeleton health, one should keep the screen at eye level, feet flat on the floor and take a short break every hour,” he added.

Lastly, nutrition should be maintained with a steady supply of calcium, protein and micronutrients, as per the surgeon. The 20s also come with a lot of stress, so it is vital to counter this with mindful practices. The doctor noted, “Practices like Yoga and breathing exercises can make a lot of difference in keeping one’s mind calm and relaxed.

Thirties

When you turn 30s, your bones reach an important milestone. The surgeon revealed, “By the time we hit our 30s, the body shifts gears from building bones to maintaining them.” So, 30 onwards, it is no longer about growth because you have reached the peak. Now it is all about prevention and preservation. In this phase, you introduce nutrients. Dr Ranjani revealed that bones 30 onwards require more than just calcium. “Bones also require protein, Vitamin K, and magnesium. A balanced diet with dairy, lean meat, lentils, fruits, and vegetables keeps this mix right.”

To maintain bone health, you have to include strength-training exercises. Dr Ranjani suggested, “Indulge in strength training, Pilates, or resistance band workouts. These also lower the risk of falls later in life.”

Work pressure may also increase, with a high likelihood of your lifestyle turning sedentary. To avoid this, the surgeon recommended that one should stand, stretch, or walk every 45 minutes to keep muscles active, especially if they have desk-bound jobs.

In the 30s, the orthopaedic surgeon highlighted that one can get a simple blood test for Vitamin D and calcium levels, and a bone density scan if needed, as a way to identify the early signs of weakening bones.

Bone health’s requirments evolve with age, as it grows and reaches the peak. While in the teens, the focus was on building a strong foundation, the 20s are about strengthening and protecting the bones. Lastly, as one reaches their 30s, the focus shifts to preservation and prevention, monitoring bone health to maintain density and preventing bone loss.

JLS have kept a champagne bottle they were given by Jay-Z 15 years ago.

Aston Merrygold on The Red Carpet Treatment – On The Road

The quartet won the Best Breakthrough and Best British Single for Beat Again at the 2010 BRIT Awards and Aston Merrygold has recalled their wild celebrations afterwards, which saw his bandmate J.B. Gill take home a special souvenir from a high-profile reveller.

Speaking to Luke Hamnett on The Red Carpet Treatment – On The Road presented by Mastercard podcast, he said: “I’ve never, ever partied like that. It was absolutely rammed. Jay-Z was at the opposite end of the room. He was just there sending us drinks, all sorts.”

Asked what he sent them, Aston replied: “Cristal, JB still has the bottle.”

Aston released his solo single Grateful in September and while the track has become his “story”, he revealed it was initially written with Rihanna in mind.

He said: “We were actually on Rihanna camp at the time, which is where you write songs to pitch for Rihanna. And just try and get Bad Girl Riri to come out and release the music. We actually had a later session and we ended up writing Grateful and it just kind of turned into, I suppose, my story.”

While fans are keen for the 37-year-old star to release a solo record, it “maybe” in the pipeline but the Get Stupid singer also has other ventures in the works.

Asked what’s next, he said: “I’m being pestered at the minute by a lot of my fans and followers that haven’t had an album from me yet. I’m just a single machine, apparently. So maybe something like that.

“But yeah, I’m definitely going to be back on the road next year, which I’m very excited about.

“And then I’m diving more into the acting world as well, which is lovely.

“I have just finished a West End Run of 101 Dalmations and last year I did Wizard of Oz, yeah.”

The Red Carpet Treatment – On The Road Presented by Mastercard is available to watch in full on YouTube or across @BRITs social channels.

Messages to Ghislaine Maxwell, Michael Wolff – Hollywood Life

The White House has maintained that Donald Trump cut off Jeffrey Epstein after he discovered the now-deceased sex offender’s crimes. Earlier this year, the president told reporters that he kicked Epstein out of his Mar-a-Lago club for “being a creep. But a new series of emails has shed new light on Epstein’s final years, his relationship with Trump and his alleged statements about the Republican.

The emails, unveiled in November 2025 by Democrats on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, appear to have been sent from Epstein’s account between the years 2011 to 2019.

Below, read the contents of the alleged emails from Epstein about his relationship with Trump.

What Did Epstein Say About Trump in the Emails?

There were multiple emails that House Democrats released. In one from April 2011, Epstein appeared to write to Ghislaine Maxwell, “I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump. … [Victim name redacted] spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned,” according to multiple outlets including ABC News, LiveNOW from Fox and The Independent.

A response that appeared to be from Maxwell read, “I have been thinking about that … ”

🚨BREAKING: Oversight Dems have received new emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate that raise serious questions about Donald Trump and his knowledge of Epstein’s horrific crimes.

Read them for yourself. It’s time to end this cover-up and RELEASE THE FILES. pic.twitter.com/A5XgOHj2Jq

— Oversight Dems (@OversightDems) November 12, 2025

Who Is Michael Wolff?

Michael Wolff is an author who has published four books about Trump’s presidency: Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, Siege: Trump Under Fire, Landslide: The Final Days of the Trump Presidency and All or Nothing: How Trump Recaptured America.

Wolff’s emails to Epstein were also revealed by House Democrats. Wolff spoke to the sex offender multiple times while doing research for his books.

In a December 2015 email, which was published by multiple outlets, Wolff appeared to write a message to Epstein with the subject line, “Heads up.”

“I hear CNN planning to ask Trump tonight about his relationship with you–either on air or in scrum afterwards,” Wolff appeared to write to Epstein at the time, which came after Trump began his presidential campaign.

In response, Epstein appeared to ask Wolff for advice on what to say. “If we were to craft an answer for him, what do you think it should be?” Epstein replied, according to several outlets.

“I think you should let him hang himself,” Wolff responded the next day. “If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency. You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt. Of course, it is possible that, when asked, he’ll say Jeffrey is a great guy and has gotten a raw deal and is a victim of political correctness, which is to be outlawed in a Trump regime.”

A separate January 2019 email — sent seven months before Epstein died in his prison cell — covered whether or not Trump actually banned Epstein from a Mar-a-Lago club membership years prior. Epstein appeared to tell Wolff, “Trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever. Of course he knew about the girls as he asked ghislaine to stop.”

During a November 2025 phone call, per ABC News, Wolff said he couldn’t recall the “specific emails or the context,” but he insisted it was “in an in-depth conversation with Epstein at that time about his relationship with Donald Trump.”

“I was trying at that time to get Epstein to talk about his relationship with Trump, and actually, he proved to be an enormously valuable source to me,” Wolff said. “Part of the context of this is that I was pushing Epstein at that point to go public with what he knew about Trump.”

What Did Trump Say About the Epstein Emails?

Trump slammed Democrats for “using the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax to try and deflect from their massive failures” in a Truth Social post.

“The Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax again because they’ll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they’ve done on the Shutdown, and so many other subjects,” the president wrote in a separate Truth Social post on November 12, 2025. “Only a very bad, or stupid, Republican would fall into that trap. The Democrats cost our Country $1.5 Trillion Dollars with their recent antics of viciously closing our Country, while at the same time putting many at risk — and they should pay a fair price. There should be no deflections to Epstein or anything else, and any Republicans involved should be focused only on opening up our Country, and fixing the massive damage caused by the Democrats!”

Raj & DK Open Up About Manoj Bajpayee and Jaideep Ahlawat’s Clash in The Family Man 3

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

The Family Man is officially coming back with its third season and we will once again see Manoj Bajpayee reprise his role as the fan-favourite spy, Srikant Tiwari. However, this season will see him face more challenges as he is on the verge of getting arrested!

This return marks another milestone for its creators, Raj & DK, also known for Farzi and Citadel Honey Bunny. The new season promises to be the biggest and most challenging yet, not just professionally for Srikant but also in terms of the show’s setting.

This time, Srikant’s mission moves eastward, into unfamiliar terrain and dangerous new territory. Speaking about the meticulous planning and the long-anticipated arc, Krishna DK shared, “It’s been building up for a while, and we’ve put our hearts into it. We had already announced at the end of season two that the North-East is where we want to go with the next season. So we were clear about that. The location, the people, and the culture are all part of the DNA of the show, whichever season you pick. Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, and all these places in season three, you need that energy from the place.”

The core of the excitement, however, lies in the intense rivalry that the creators have cooked up for Srikant this time around. Season 3 brings a monumental clash of talent, featuring a high-octane face-off that is already sending fan anticipation soaring.

Family Man

Sharing his enthusiasm for the clash between Manoj Bajpayee’s Srikant and Jaideep Ahlawat’s Rukma in the new season Raj Nidimoru expressed, “Manoj and Jaideep are coming together, two stalwarts of Indian cinema. Really top actors.” Jaideep Ahlawat’s antagonist, Rukma, is designed as a dark reflection of our beloved TASC agent. His character presents a threat that is deeply personal and ideologically opposite to Srikant, pushing him to his absolute limit. Raj further elaborated on this compelling character parallel, noting, “Rukma became the main character, the main antagonist, where he is almost the opposite of Srikant; he also has a girlfriend and a kid, a sort of a ‘non-family’ family.”

The Family Man 3 also stars Sharib Hashmi and Priyamani among others. The third season will start streaming globally on Prime Video from November 21.

Squeeze Revisit Early Unheard Songs On ‘Trixies’

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

Long before their reign as one of the most erudite bands in rock, Squeeze founding members Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook wrote a bunch of early songs as 1970s teenagers that have never seen the light of day. That will change on March 6, when BMG releases Trixies, the group’s first new album in eight years. The first taste of the music, “Trixies Part One,” is out now.

In 1974, Difford was 19 and Tilbrook 16 as they began writing tracks such as “Don’t Go Out in the Dark,” “You Get the Feeling” and “The Place We Call Mars,” which were set in a fictional club named Trixies. “We fully committed ourselves to songwriting, but this was three or four years before we even got to make our first record,” says Difford. “Long story short, these were songs that we just didn’t have enough musical experience to record properly.”

The “Pulling Mussels From the Shell”/”Tempted” hitmakers revisited the material with its latter-day touring band, including former Roots bassist Owen Biddle, who produced. “The songs that we wrote then astound me. I’m proud of them now, and I’m particularly proud that it was young us that did that. These are very much the same songs that we wrote then,” Tilbrook offers. “The only difference is that now I can teach the songs to the rest of the band. Back then, I didn’t even know what the names of the chords were!”

What’s more, an album of entirely new Squeeze material was tracked alongside Trixies and will be released at some point in the future. To cap the year, Squeeze are touring with Madness in the U.K. through a Dec. 20 show at the O2 Arena in London.

“The act of revisiting the Trixies songs had me in tears, partly because they’re so good, but also because I’m aware of all the stuff that I’ve still yet to hear and write,” Tilbrook says. Adds Difford, “It really fills me with joy that at my age we can discover that we wrote such great songs when we were teenagers. I’m very proud of that.”

Here is the track list for Trixies:

“What More Can I Say”
“You Get the Feeling”
“The Place We Call Mars”
“Hell on Earth”
“The Dancer”
“Good Riddance”
“Don’t Go Out in the Dark”
“Why Don’t You”
“Anything But Me”
“It’s Over”
“The Jaguars”
“Trixies Part One”

Bob Iger on Disney Deal Standoff With YouTube TV ‘Working Tirelessly’

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s two weeks into the YouTube TV blackout of Disney networks — including ESPN and ABC — and the Mouse House’s top brass say they’re hunkering down to fight for as long as it takes to reach terms that are acceptable to the media company.

Disney CEO Bob Iger, speaking on the company’s September quarter earnings call, said, “We care deeply about our consumer and our priority has always been to remain on their service without interruption, to close a deal on a timely basis so that interruption does not occur. The deal that we have proposed is equal to or better than what other large distributors have already agreed to. So we’re not trying to really break any new ground, and while we’ve been working tirelessly to close this deal and restore our channel to the platform. It’s also imperative that we make sure that we agree to a deal that reflects the value that we deliver, which both YouTube, by the way, and Alphabet, have told us, is greater than the value of any other provider.”

Iger continued, “So we’re not trying to break new ground. The offer that’s on the table is commensurate with deals that we’ve already struck with, actually distributors that are larger than they are. We’re trying really hard, as I said, working tirelessly to close this deal, and we’re hope, we were hopeful that we’ll be able to do so on a timely enough basis to at least give consumers the opportunity to access our content over their platform.”

Disney CFO Hugh Johnston, in an interview with CNBC earlier Thursday, took a more adversarial stance. “Obviously, as we entered the year, we knew this was going to be a challenging battle and we prepared ourselves for it, and we’re ready to go as long as they want to,” he said.

On the company’s earnings call, Johnston didn’t provide much additional insight into when there might be a deal reached on a YouTube TV renewal. “Obviously, I’m not going to comment much on ongoing negotiations that are live right now. The only thing I would say is, in terms of our guidance, we built a hedge into that with the expectation that that these discussions could go for a little while,” he told analysts.

Johnston added that in terms of “the dollar impact” on Disney’s bottom line, he said: “Keep in mind, there’s two pieces to it. There’s the piece that we’re not getting paid for [from YouTube], and then the piece that we’re picking up by virtue of subscribers moving elsewhere. But beyond that, I don’t want to comment because it is a live negotiation right now.” This week Disney extended Johnston’s employment agreement through 2029.

Such carriage fights are not uncommon in the pay-TV business. But Google and Disney have gone into this dispute deeply entrenched in their positions, and still don’t seem to be very close to a resolution. Disney’s networks went dark on YouTube TV service just before midnight ET on Thursday, Oct. 30, after Disney and Google were far apart on a deal before the expiration of the previous contract.

As is almost always the case, the companies are fighting over price. Google says Disney is asking for an unprecedented fee hike in order to “reset” the market and be able to charge other distributors the same high rates. Disney has countered that Google is “refusing to pay fair rates for our channels.”

The economic pain is likely setting in for both sides. Disney is losing an estimated $30 million per week in revenue because of the YouTube TV blackout, Morgan Stanley has estimated, and the loss of viewers on the platform appears to be cutting into Disney’s TV ratings. Meanwhile, Google is clearly facing a rising tide of irate YouTube TV subscribers, which will only grow the longer the standoff continues.

YouTube TV customers have already missed two straight weeks of “Monday Night Football” on ESPN and ABC (Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers on Nov. 10 and Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 3), not to mention two Saturdays of college football and other sports, plus ABC primetime shows and more.

This past Sunday, YouTube TV began alerting subscribers about how to manually apply a one-time $20 credit to their account because of the Disney carriage dispute, a move to try to mitigate cancellations.

Bollywood’s Secret Affair Detective: What A Star Wife Hired Her To Uncover

Bollywood’s Secret Affair Detective: What A Star Wife Hired Her To Uncover

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

In a sensational revelation this week, private investigator Tanya Puri disclosed that a Bollywood actress with two children hired her to investigate her husband’s secret affair. According to Puri, the actress suspected that “something was off” in her marriage and took the drastic step of hiring a detective to uncover the truth. What came out of the inquiry, she claims, exposed a web of deception that had been quietly stretching across years and careers.

Puri’s account describes a husband who had reportedly been maintaining multiple relationships with younger actresses whilst living a seemingly stable life with his wife and family. The wife, Puri said, had tolerated the situation for many years but admitted that the breaking point came when the behaviour started affecting their children. “Emotional cheating was the bigger deal,” the detective explained. “The kids were aware and it broke her heart to see them carry the burden of his choices.”

The investigation, according to Puri, revealed patterns of secret trips, unexplained transfers of money, and unexplained financial support to the other women involved. Amid daily shoots, promotions, and red-carpet appearances, the husband is said to have channelled earnings into a double life while maintaining a facade of normalcy at home. The detective refused to name the actor involved, but stated the case involved a high-profile figure from Bollywood who had been married for more than two decades and shared two children with his wife.

The story has thrust light back onto a persistent industry myth—that celebrity relationships are always perfect—and the pressures that come with maintaining that myth. In many cases, the public face of a star couple remains intact for years, while the personal fissures are ignored or managed privately until they can no longer be concealed.

Also Read: Alia Bhatt Says Ranbir Won’t Let Her Follow His Hidden Instagram; Gives Peek Into Family Privacy

For the wife who came forward, the ordeal marked a painful intersection of love, betrayal, public image and family responsibility. “She had known something was wrong for a long time,” Puri noted. “She gave him chances, she ignored, she explained. But once the children couldn’t stay quiet anymore, that is when she finally acted.”

The decision to hire a detective is itself notable in Bollywood. While the entire industry is known for curated public moments and image management, the use of private investigators underscores the hidden realities behind many seemingly perfect setups. The stakes are high not just for the couple but also for brands, producers, and the fanbase that sustains them.

What remains to be seen is how this revelation will ripple through the industry. Will the actor in question respond? Will the wife speak out further or demand change? For now, the detective’s account has opened the door to broader conversations about transparency, emotional honesty and the burden of public expectations on private lives.

Regardless of identity or outcome, the case sets a precedent. It signals that behind the glamor and press conferences, long-term relationships may carry deep unspoken fissures. It also challenges the notion that marriage in the spotlight is immune to betrayal, complicity or emotional disconnect. For fans watching, it invites a moment of reconsideration: the allure of celebrity is often built on selective visibility—and sometimes it hides real pain.

While we may never know all the details, what is clear is that this story taps into a larger cultural anxiety about authenticity in celebrity marriages. As Bollywood continues evolving—on-screen and off—stories like this remind us that the red-carpet smile doesn’t always equal peace. And sometimes the biggest revelation isn’t a headline, it’s the question we never asked.
