Amanza Smith Lit Up Miami Art Week as the Creators Gala Delivered a Night of Art, Influence, and Luxury

by jummy84 December 10, 2025
written by jummy84

The return of Miami Art Week brought with it a surge of creative energy, and few gatherings captured its cultural pulse more vividly than the 2nd Annual Creators Gala Art Party, presented by Twenty35, Swagger Magazine, Jane Owen Public Relations and Zooz Group. On December 4, 2025, the trio of powerhouse brands once again transformed the One Ocean South residence an architectural jewel in Miami Beach’s South Pointe enclave into a haven for art, fashion, and elevated luxury.

The evening was hosted by Amanza Smith, the multifaceted television personality whose nine-season presence on Netflix’s Selling Sunset had already established her as a global figure in design and entertainment. This time, her artistic voice took center stage. Fresh off sold-out shows at MASH Gallery Los Angeles and Grove Gallery London, Smith unveiled a new art collection that showcased her evolving visual language, rich with texture, movement, and introspective expression. Her transition from model, actress, interior designer, and realtor to exhibiting artist resonated deeply during a week that celebrates creative reinvention.

Smith was joined by a dynamic lineup of creators from Zooz Group’s global influencer roster. Their presence underscored the gala’s identity as a gathering point for emerging talents and established tastemakers across entertainment, lifestyle, and media.

Throughout the night, guests experienced the sophisticated ambiance of One Ocean South, beginning with red-carpet arrivals and continuing with curated culinary offerings and elevated mixology. Signature cocktails featured selections from the William Grant & Sons portfolio Milagro Tequila, Hendrick’s Gin, Glenfiddich Scotch, Reyka Vodka, and Monkey Shoulder Whisky while Sommsation presented an artfully assembled array of wines and sparkling varietals that complemented the evening’s “Liquid Art” theme. Premium Italian lager Peroni and Peroni 0.0 added a crisp, refreshing note to the drinks program, rounding out the celebration of artisanal craftsmanship.

Music played a pivotal role as DEOCA, one of Miami’s most exciting emerging producers and DJs, curated the soundscape. Having worked alongside major talents such as J Balvin, Trippie Redd, and David Guetta, and with several Top 10 releases on Beatport’s Tech House charts, DEOCA delivered a high-energy, globally influenced set that amplified the creative spirit of the evening.

Beyond the glamour, the gala also supported a meaningful cause through its partnership with GettingAlong.com, an organization dedicated to empowering future educators and policymakers with resources that foster societal well-being, personal growth, and responsible citizenship. The collaboration added a thoughtful dimension to an event celebrated for its artistry and cultural impact.

The 2nd Annual Creators Gala once again stood out as a defining highlight of Miami Art Week—an experience where contemporary art, digital influence, and luxury living converged seamlessly. With Amanza Smith’s artistic evolution at its heart, a captivating roster of influential guests, and a carefully curated sensory journey, the evening left an indelible impression on attendees and reaffirmed the gala’s place among Miami Art Week’s most anticipated destinations.

As the city’s signature art festivities continued, the Creators Gala distinguished itself as a celebration of vision, creativity, and cultural momentum an unforgettable night where art did more than adorn the walls; it shaped the atmosphere itself.

Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz Series About Their Lives In Development

by jummy84 December 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Everybody knows Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz and the legend of “I Love Lucy.” But do they really?

There have been several movies over the years about the two icons, including Aaron Sorkin’s recent “Being the Ricardos.” But the story of “Lucy and Desi” goes far beyond the smash success of “I Love Lucy,” and that’s what got Lucie Arnaz — the daughter of the late Hollywood icons — thinking about doing something bigger. Arnaz has partnered with former NBC Entertainment and WarnerMedia Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt to develop what they envision as a three-season deep dive into the lives of Ball and Arnaz, from the couple’s separate tumultuous upbringings to making TV history with “I Love Lucy” — and then the clashes that led to their eventual divorce.

Arnaz and Greenblatt have recruited Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Richard LaGravenese (“The Fisher King,” “Behind the Candelabra”) to create the series, which will rely on source material including autobiographies written by Ball and Arnaz, the rights of which have reverted to Arnaz. Greenblatt’s The Green Room and Arnaz’s Desilu Productions are behind the project, which will also be produced by Green Room content head Jon Wu.

“If you’re really willing to look at the whole thing, there’s quite a story there, and a lot to be learned,” Arnaz said. “It’s very emotional, and it’s not what people think. It’s not just all about ‘I Love Lucy.’”

Arnaz and Greenblatt have put together a pitch deck for the series, with the working title “Lucy and Desi: The Greatest Story Never Told,” and plan to start meeting with networks and streamers in the coming months. The timing of the pitch comes as “I Love Lucy” celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2026 (the show debuted in October 1951) and on the heels of two new books exploring the couple: “Desi Arnaz, The Man Who Invented Television,” by Todd S. Purdum, and Arnaz’s own new look at her parents’ relationship, “Lucy & Desi: The Love Letters,” which she edited.

“As we take it to buyers, there’s a version of this that could be 10 hours and done, if somebody wants to jump in with that,” Greenblatt said. “But we want to present it as a multi-season show. We think it’s three seasons of eight episodes. Obviously, we have to find the right buyer and cater to what they want to do. But it needs to have time to breathe. It really is an extraordinary story, from when they’re each teenagers in their separate worlds — one being Cuba as it’s coming apart at the seams, and one being very WASPy New York. They were both thrust out on their own, quickly at a young age, to try to figure out who they were and find their way in the business. Then they converge in 1940 on a soundstage at RKO, doing a movie together. ‘I Love Lucy’ is 11 years later, but that’s 11 years when they’re together in a marriage that’s up and down and complex.”

Arnaz and Greenblatt were inspired by the timeline of Netflix’s “The Crown” to similarly divide “Lucy and Desi” into different eras. In their pitch, Season 1, “From Cuba and Jamestown to New York and Hollywood,” would focus on 1930 to 1940; Season 2, “Family Life, B-Movies and Radio,” would span from 1940 to 1951; and Season 3, “The Ricardos Catch Fire, and Beyond,” would look at the “I Love Lucy” era, from 1951 to 1960 and more.

In partnering with LaGravenese (who most recently penned Paramount+’s upcoming “Unspeakable: The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey”) and not a comedy writer, Arnaz said it was important to explore some of the darker aspects of her parents’ relationship in addition to the good times.

“The story is not all ha-ha. There’s a lot of sadness, there’s addiction, and there’s cheating, and there’s lots of fights for no reason,” she said. “There’s something to be learned from what they went through and how it’s not that easy to have it all… They had this wonderful legacy, which just happens to be the funniest show ever. But they’re more than that show. Their lives, individually and collectively, were very exciting and amazing and deep. Finding the right writer was hard because most people might think that, because we’re doing the story of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz that it’s going to be really funny. And it’s going to have great kinds of humor in it. But it’s not ‘I Love Lucy.’ It’s not a sitcom. Everybody says, ‘your father invented television,’ but in reality, that’s not at all what he was trying to do. They were just trying to stay together, and do a show.”

Arnaz and Greenblatt first collaborated when he produced a 40th anniversary reunion concert benefit for “They’re Playing Our Song,” the musical that served as her Broadway debut. Around the same time, Arnaz was an executive producer on “Being the Ricardos,” but ultimately that film focused mostly on one moment in time in the Lucy/Desi relationship — and so, Arnaz brought the idea of a much broader look at her parents to Greenblatt, and they started collaborating on what would become this series pitch.

“Lucie has this ability to separate herself from being in the middle of it and really see it from an objective point of view,” Greenblatt said. “She’s the first person to say, ‘we want to do it warts and all, and we don’t want to just whitewash it and protect everybody.’ It really is complex. Can we get underneath the causes and the reasons for the way they were. We all think they’re the Ricardos. There’s a part of them that’s who they were, but that’s so little of the full picture.”

LeGravenese entered the picture when Arnaz and Greenblatt went looking for somebody who could balance the comedy of “I Love Lucy” with the drama of what happened behind the scenes.

“Richard came to mind, as he’s got this great background in writing feature films prominently for most of his life and more recently television,” Greenblatt said. “I love his ‘Behind the Candelabra’ movie, for which he won the Emmy. When we presented the idea to him, he just lit up. He’s like, ‘Oh my God, I’ve loved these two people as a fan, and I’ve gone down the rabbit hole on the internet many times.’ He just knew a lot about the story already. Then we all met, and Lucie met him, and he just felt like the right guy.”

Added Arnaz: “There’s been now two TV movies and a feature film and my documentary, but none of those other films ever looked at, ‘OK, that happened and that happened, but why? Why did he do that? Why did she respond that way?’ I wanted to correct that. If nothing else, I wanted to be able to look at them as people and say, ‘aren’t they interesting? Imagine, even with all that sorrow and all that loss, he was able to do this. And then he had to drink. Well, why did he have hookers? Why did that happen?’ And so if we can show the early and go all the way to the end, in some way, we might be able to help people understand them even more.”

The Top 10 Chrome French Tip Nail Ideas of 2025 to Try ASAP

by jummy84 December 10, 2025
written by jummy84

At this point, we all know how much the glazed donut manicure has transformed to embrace different seasons and shades and drawn inspiration from a myriad of foods, drinks, and delectable sweets. (We’re looking at you, candy cane glazed nails.) The past few months have revealed yet another iteration: the chrome French manicure. With the nail look popping up endlessly on our FYPs and Explore pages, we’re finally taking a deep dive into the trend with the help of two nail artists who know exactly how to bring it to life.

To learn everything you need to know about chrome French manicures before you make that next nail appointment, scroll on to see our 10 favorite nail designs and get some tips and tricks on how to make them happen from experts.

What is a chrome French manicure?

Nail artist and educator Valeriia Telemaniuk cites Hailey Bieber’s stunning glazed donut nails as the catalyst for the chrome manicure trend that’s kept our attention over the past couple of years. “From that moment on, chrome became an absolute explosion in the nail world,” Telemaniuk tells Who What Wear. “It feels like the icing on a cake—a soft, glowing finish that brings the entire design together and makes it look complete.” She expands on this further, sharing that chrome nails are all about achieving “delicacy, airiness, elegance, and that subtle touch of luxury,” which is why they’ve become a favorite for wedding manicures as well as clients seeking nails with a clean, refined, and understated shine.

Nail artist and educator Sofiia Mazur agrees and proposes the idea that chrome French manicures are a fresh, modern take on the classic white-tip look. “The base and tip are created like a traditional French manicure, but what makes it special is the soft layer of pearl chrome powder applied over the entire nail,” says Mazur. The finished result is nails with a glazed, light-reflective finish resembling a soft shimmer for eye-catching dimension. “The trend toward elegance and ‘soft luxury’ keeps growing, and clients consistently choose this elevated, modern glow,” adds Telemaniuk.

Why are chrome French nails trending?

Apart from Bieber’s contribution to the chrome manicure trend (brought to life by the talented Zola Ganzorigt), Mazur says chrome French nails are trending because they give the timeless French design a modern and versatile update. “Instead of changing the classic base and white tip, nail artists now finish the set with a sheer layer of pearl or chrome powder,” Mazur explains. “It keeps the clean, minimal aesthetic of a French manicure but adds that soft shine that’s become so popular in the beauty world.”

Mazur also highlights how good chrome French manicures look on every nail shape and skin tone as well as their ability to shift “from subtle to high glam” with different chrome shades. When it comes to selecting a chrome shade, Mazur tells us soft, pearly tones look elegant and bridal, and golden and pink chrome tend to offer a more fashion-forward, editorial vibe. “It’s a simple way to upgrade a natural look without going over-the-top,” she continues. What’s more, the trend plays into the clean girl aesthetic and glazed nail look that have both been going strong.

How are chrome French manicures created?

According to the experts, pulling off the perfect chrome French manicure is easy as long as you have the process in place. To create this look, Mazur tells us that nail techs start by creating a French base before curing it and applying a thin layer of chrome over the whole surface. “A topcoat locks it in, creating that milky, glossy sheen everyone’s obsessed with right now. Do not forget to seal chrome with another layer of the topcoat,” Mazur explains.

For this, Telemaniuk uses a traditional French smile line on a milky-white or soft-pink base before rubbing in the chrome powder. “The chrome blends smoothly into the surface, adding a pearlescent sheen and transforming the classic French into something more luminous, modern, and elegant,” she says. Another variation of a chrome French manicure that Telemaniuk likes to create for a modern, accent-forward look puts the smile line front and center. “In this technique, chrome is first applied to the entire nail. Then I draw the smile line using a clear topcoat, and after curing, the excess chrome is removed,” she says. This leaves a clean, perfectly crisp metallic smile line that’s bold, futuristic, and very chic.”

What is the best way to apply chrome?

If you’re wondering how to apply the light-reflecting chrome that makes this French manicure so memorable, you’re in luck. Telemaniuk is breaking down how to do it step-by-step. To achieve a chrome French manicure that lasts up to four weeks without chipping, she follows the correct application sequence: “I begin by applying a layer of topcoat and curing it in an LED lamp for 30 seconds—just enough for the surface to stay warm. While the topcoat is still warm, I gently rub in the chrome powder. It almost melts into the surface and adheres much better this way.”

Next, she recommends sealing your masterpiece with another layer of topcoat and curing it for 120 seconds to ensure a “perfectly smooth, durable, and long-lasting finish.” While the technique might seem very simple, she swears by it to deliver long-wearing manicures every time. Keep scrolling to see the 10 chrome French manicure looks to take on your next trip to the nail salon.

Did you know your nails can signal psoriasis? Doctor shares 5 changes in hands and nails indicating underlying disease

by jummy84 December 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Long before a health condition becomes obvious, the body often sends out quiet, easily overlooked signals that something isn’t quite right. While some warning signs are well known, others can seem unusual or unrelated at first glance – making them harder to recognise or connect to an underlying illness. This is where awareness becomes powerful, especially when it comes to subtle changes in the hands and nails that can offer valuable clues about what’s happening inside the body.

Swollen hand joints can be a sign of arthritis.(Unsplash)

Also Read | Delhi cardiologist with 40 years experience shares 5 warning signs your heart is struggling silently

Dr Kunal Sood, an anaesthesiologist and interventional pain medicine physician, has highlighted five key changes in the nails and hands that may signal underlying health issues – and in some cases, chronic conditions such as arthritis or psoriasis. In an Instagram video shared on December 9, the physician explains that recognising these subtle signs early can aid in identifying serious health conditions and support timely diagnosis and treatment.

Clubbing

According to Dr Kunal Sood, clubbing causes the fingertips to appear rounded with curved nails as the soft tissue enlarges – a physical change that can sometimes signal underlying lung or heart disease. He explains, “It occurs when megakaryocytes bypass the lungs and release growth factors like VEGF and PDGF at the fingertips. It is linked to chronic lung disease (lung cancer, bronchiectasis, pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis) and heart conditions with long-term low oxygen such as cyanotic congenital heart disease or endocarditis.”

Spoon-shaped nails

Koilonychia or spoon-shaped nails might be an early warning sign of iron deficiency anaemia. Dr Sood highlights, “Koilonychia creates thin, concave nails due to impaired keratin formation when iron-dependent enzymes weaken. It often reflects iron deficiency from blood loss, heavy periods, low intake, malabsorption, or increased need in pregnancy. These nail changes can precede other symptoms for months.”

Red nail streaks

If you notice red streaks on your nails, Dr Sood states that it might be an indication of blood vessel inflammation. He explains, “Splinter hemorrhages look like red-brown lines under the nails from ruptured capillaries. While trauma is common, multiple streaks or those near the nail base raise concern for systemic conditions such as vasculitis, lupus, connective-tissue disease, or infective endocarditis.”

Swollen finger joints

Swollen joints on your fingers are a classic sign of arthritis. The physician points out, “Swelling may reflect osteoarthritis from cartilage loss or inflammatory arthritis like rheumatoid or psoriatic arthritis involving synovial inflammation. Because trauma, gout or metabolic issues can mimic this finding, clinical exam and imaging help distinguish causes.”

Pitting in nails

According to Dr Sood, pitting in nails is a hallmark sign of nail-matrix involvement in psoriasis. He elaborates, “About one-third of psoriasis patients show pits, and prevalence increases with disease duration. It may accompany discoloration, thickening or onycholysis and is common in psoriatic arthritis, making it a useful early clue.”

‘Blackwater’ Maker Apple Tree Productions To Shutter In 2026

by jummy84 December 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Piv Bernth and Lars Hermann’s Apple Tree Productions will close at the end of 2026, with its founders citing “increasingly difficult” market conditions.

The Danish company was launched in 2017 with backing from ITV Studios (ITVS), with The Killing and The Bridge exec producer Bernth and Hermann, her colleague from DR’s drama division, at the helm at CEO and COO, respectively. It has since made Equinox and Baby Fever for Netflix, Chorus Girls for TV2 in Denmark and Blackwater for Sweden’s SVT and DR.

Apple Tree confirmed the planned closure, which will follow production of two series, Rivals (working title) and The Best of Families.

“The market for making TV series is becoming increasingly difficult in Denmark, and it has become ever more challenging to maintain and build an economically viable business,” said Bernth and Hermann in a statement. “Consequently, we are shifting our focus to concentrate entirely on overseeing the production of our two final drama series, Rivals for TV2 Denmark and The Best of Families for DR and will no longer be developing or producing new series.

“We are very proud of the series we have delivered to our customers and our audiences, and it has been a pleasure to work with all the talented creative filmmakers with whom we have made the series. At the same time, we are deeply grateful for ITV Studios’ support over the years.”

Lisa Perrin, Managing Director International Productions at ITVS added: “Whilst Apple Tree will continue to produce until the end of 2026, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Piv and Lars and their team for all they have achieved since joining us in 2017. They have delivered productions of the highest quality and have been fantastic partners for ITV Studios. We wish them all the best for the future.”

ITV Studios will continue to represent titles from Apple Tree’s catalogue internationally.

These appointments reinforce Sela’s ambition to combine creative excellence, global entertainment expertise, and robust financial leadership to deliver spectacular experiences worldwide.

In 2012, he and Sir Elton John co-founded Rocket Sports Management, creating standout sporting moments for athletes and partners while collaborating with global brands such as Ford, Vodafone, Lexus and TAG. In 2024, he won an Emmy as Executive Producer of the landmark Disney+ livestream of Elton John’s final North American show at Dodger Stadium and oversaw the execution of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour – one of the highest grossing tours of all time at just under a billion dollars.

Luke joins Sela’s international team as Chief Growth Officer to drive its creative, entertainment and event-production ambitions as the company continues to scale globally.

Most recently, he played a key role supporting Sela’s investment in The Hunger Games: On Stage – the new live theatrical adaptation now running in London at the purpose-built Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre and is leading on all of Sela’s international IP development across the sports and entertainment sectors.

Ed Hepworth, Chief Financial Officer – International at Sela

Ed Hepworth brings over 30 years of experience, having held senior financial leadership roles across high-profile international organisations sports, media and entertainment organisations – including Six Nations Rugby, World Athletics and the NBA.

Ed’s experience will be critical in supporting Sela’s ambitious global expansion strategy – overseeing global finance, commercial operations, and helping align international growth with the company’s long-term objectives.

Stewart Hosford, CEO – International at Sela, said:

“Luke and Ed bring decades of experience building some of the world’s most successful entertainment and sports brands. Their combined track record – from global tours to international sports organisations and rights holders – will be instrumental as we expand Sela’s international footprint and elevate the standard of live experiences worldwide”

In 2025, Sela helped deliver the biggest international boxing event of the year with Terence Crawford vs. Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, staged in front of a sellout crowd at Allegiant Stadium in Nevada. Sela also delivered the historic British bout between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn in April 2025 and the rematch this November. Sela’s investment in The Hunger Games: On Stage London production marks another milestone in its growing entertainment portfolio.

‘South Park’ to Finally Deliver the Antichrist in New Episode

The Antichrist is coming — to South Park, that is — when the series returns for what may be its season 28 finale with a brand new episode Wednesday night.

The episode, titled “The Crap Out,” looks to blend the show’s signature irreverence with a dark holiday twist. If the latest season mirrors season 27, this will be the final episode of the five-episode 28th season.

This week’s visit to the Colorado mountain town may be brief, as the logline for the episode is very Stan-centric. Given that this is the season finale, the logic of everything we know about television suggests the episode will feature a birth. But what will happen as Trump has started a clandestine affair with his vice president, J.D. Vance, while Satan gets closer to the due date for their baby together — the Antichrist?

As of this update, President Trump has still not responded to his depiction on the show as a philandering, conniving, vice-president-bedding figure.

“Satan’s due, Stan’s praying, and only a Christmas miracle can deliver the Antichrist on time,” the episode logline provided by Comedy Central reads, signaling another boundary-pushing installment from creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

South Park’s Wednesday night episode continues the ratings-smashing 28th season. The show originally debuted on Comedy Central in 1997. Additional new episodes of the latest season aired on Oct. 29, Nov. 12, Nov. 26 and Dec. 10, according to Comedy Central.

Following its linear debut, the episode will be available to stream on Paramount+ and On Demand through participating TV providers.
