Yungblud Cancels Remainder of 2025 Tour Due to Medical Concerns

Yungblud has canceled the remainder of his tour dates scheduled in 2025 due to medical concerns. In a statement posted to Instagram over the weekend, the young rocker shared that, “This week when I got home off the road, and went to have some tests done (like I usually do) and my voice and blood tests have raised some concerns. I have been ordered by my doctor to take a break from touring until the end of the year.”

“It is in my nature to run and run until I run myself to the ground without giving a fuck about anything apart from the music and you guys but this time I’ve been told I have to take it seriously and I can’t fuck around,” Yungblud added. “I don’t want to do any lasting damage to myself, we are on a journey that I want to last forever. I understand that some of you will be so frustrated. I just want you to know that this is so hard for me to do but I promise I will make it up to you.”

As a result, Yungblud has canceled upcoming dates scheduled in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Washington, Mexico City, and Latin America.

The good news is Yungblud is due back on the road next year: his massive “IDOLS Tour” will hit North America next spring (tickets here), and he says he’s also planning to announce his own headlining shows in Mexico and Latin America.

Yungblud cancels all remaining 2025 dates on doctor’s orders: “My heart is broken”

Yungblud has been forced to cancel all of his remaining 2025 shows on doctor’s orders, a decision he has described as heartbreaking.

The singer has been on the road for much of the year as part of his ‘Idols’ world tour and he recently wrapped up a run of shows in North America and Europe. He was due to play a final few shows in the US and South America, but those have now been cancelled.

Tickets for gigs in Philadelphia, Cleveland and Washington DC will be refunded, as will shows in Mexico City and Latin America. Yungblud has also promised “a gift” to fans who had bought tickets for the affected shows.

Writing on Instagram Stories today (November 16), Yungblud has said: “This week when I got home off the road, and went to have some tests done (like I usually do) and my voice and blood tests have raised some concerns.”

I hope you get well soon. Love you, Dom 🖤 @yungblud #yungblud pic.twitter.com/ymv4b334RB

“It is in my nature to run and run until I run myself to the ground without giving a fuck about anything apart from the music and you guys but this time I’ve been told I have to take it seriously and I can’t fuck around.”

“My heart is broken,” he added. “I don’t want to do any lasting damage to myself, we are on a journey that I want to last forever. I understand that some of you will be frustrated. I just want you to know that this is so hard for me to do but I promise I will make it up to you.”

Yungblud is due to play a run of UK and Ireland arena dates in April, a tour that he recently extended due to outstanding demand. You can see the complete list of dates here and find any remaining tickets here.

Before that, he also has a string of Australian shows booked for January, and will play at Lollapalooza India on January 24.

Yungblud released the first part of his latest album ‘Idols’ in June, and it hit Number One in the UK. He told NME of the album days before the first part’s release: “Part one is about the reclamation of yourself: ‘All you are is a self-fulfilling prophecy / A product of your own temptation.’

“Part two is the dark and downward spiral to the inevitable realisation that I’m not going to be here forever – who do I want to spend my life with? Mortality. Part two plummets you back down to earth, and it’s a little bit more cynical.”

‘Idols’ has now been nominated for a Grammy for Best Rock Album, while ‘Zombie’ is up for Best Rock Song. The live version of ‘Changes’ that he performed at Black Sabbath’s farewell ‘Back To The Beginning’ show is also nominated for Best Rock Performance.

Yungblud is also set to soundtrack ‘Trans Is Human’, a new trans-focused photography exhibition at Outernet in London tomorrow (November 17).

His EP with Aerosmith, ‘One More Time’, is also set to come out on Friday (November 21). They released a single from the EP, ‘My Only Angel’, on September 19, marking the hard rock icons’ first original release in over 12 years. The two acts worked together earlier that month to pay tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the MTV VMAs.

“I’ve been told I have to take it seriously and I can’t fuck around,” singer says

Yungblud has canceled the remainder of his 2025 tour dates on advice from his doctors, who ordered him “to take a break from touring until the end of the year.”

The singer has spent much of the year on his Idols World Tour, which continues into 2026 with another North American leg. However, Yungblud — who recently wrapped up a European run of concerts — had another handful of U.S. shows and gigs in Latin America on tap before the end of the year.

“This week when I got home off the road, and went to have some tests done (like I usually do) and my voice and blood tests have raised some concerns,” Yungblud wrote on social media to fans, adding that his doctor then ordered him off the road.

“It is in my nature to run and run until I run myself to the ground without giving a fuck about anything apart from the music and you guys but this time I’ve been told I have to take it seriously and I can’t fuck around,” Yungblud said.

The canceled shows include November gigs Philadelphia, Cleveland, and Washington, as well as planned gigs in Mexico City and Latin America. All tickets will be refunded for those shows, Yungblud said, promising to send “a gift” to all fans impacted by the cancellations.

As of now, Yungblud is set to return to his Idols Tour in January 2026 for an Australian leg, followed by a U.K. run in April 2026 and then an extensive North American tour next summer.

The Darkness’ Justin Hawkins never “intended to incite a feud” with Yungblud: “It’s OK to be a bit skeptical”

by jummy84 October 11, 2025
written by jummy84

The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins has clarified his comments about Yungblud‘s authenticity as a rock star, saying he never “intended to incite a feud” and emphasised that “it’s OK to be a bit sceptical.”

The fracas began after the band’s guitarist Dan Hawkins called the artist – real name Dom Harrison’s – performance paying tribute to Ozzy Osbourne with Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt at the MTV VMAs “another nail in the coffin of rock n roll”. He also called Harrison, as well as his fellow performers “a bunch of bellends”.

Justin Hawkins  would later expand on Dan’s comments on his YouTube channel, describing the performance as “rock n’ roll seen through an Instagram filter of some sort” and adding: “Yungblud seems to have positioned himself as a natural heir to the Ozzy legacy, having nothing to do with the really important stuff.”

In response, Harrison described his critics as “bitter and jealous”, explaining: “They are doing the things they say we are doing – they’re trying to insert themselves into a conversation to obtain some kind of relevancy, on the back of us honouring one of the greatest rock stars that ever lived – and then they talk about authenticity and stuff like that.”

Hawkins has now posted a video through his YouTube channel Justin Hawkins Rides Again titled ‘Yungblud And The Cost of Having An Opinion’. In it, he admitted that he was surprised when it was suggested to him in an interview that he and Harrison were ‘feuding’ because, by running a reaction channel, he is giving his opinion on a performance.

“There’s nothing ‘feudy about it,” he said, “especially when it comes to my reactions to the VMAs performance. None of that was intended to incite a feud. I think that Yungblud is a very well-connected and, as such, dangerous artist. He’s an individual who is not the sort of bear you’d go round poking.

“But I think that when there’s real-time pitch correction happening [referring to his criticism of Harrison’s use of autotune] and stuff like that, and the other observations I made about the overall delivery of it… you’re talking about somebody that came from musical theatre via Disney and is now being lauded as the future of rock. And if they have real-time pitch correction and that kind of background, I think it’s OK to be a bit skeptical about it.”

He continued: “I know that’s not a very popular opinion but from the reaction community if you can’t say something negative about something that leaves you only one opinion available to you and that’s not how life works. Everybody’s allowed to say whatever they want.”

Hawkins then cuts to Harrison’s interview on Jack Osbourne’s podcast when he talks about the comments.

“I’m not slagging him off because… I don’t even think I’m slagging it off actually,” he continued. “I think I’m making a point that if the future of rock requires real-time pitch correction in a live environment rock is pretty fucked, isn’t it?”

Earlier this summer, the singer announced he will be embarking on a one-man tour for his podcast, which will take place in the UK next year. Get your tickets to the ‘Justin Hawkins Rides Again… Again!’ tour here.

YUNGBLUD Rocks With Aerosmith On ‘More’ EP

by jummy84 September 20, 2025
written by jummy84

On the heels of a collaboration at the MTV Video Music Awards, rising U.K. star YUNGBLUD and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Aerosmith are crossing the generational divide again with a five-song EP, One More Time, which will be released by Capitol on Nov. 21. The lead single, “My Only Angel,” is out now.

One More Time constitutes Aerosmith’s first new music in 12 years and was produced by Matt Schwartz. Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford and Tom Hamilton all participated in the recording sessions, although Guns N’ Roses/Velvet Revolver’s Matt Sorum sat in for ailing drummer Joey Kramer.

Beyond “My Only Angel,” the EP includes the original songs “Problems,” “Wild Woman” and “A Thousand Days,” plus a new rendition of Aerosmith’s 1976 favorite “Back in the Saddle.” The artwork was designed by Chrome Hearts, in a first for the luxury brand.

“A year ago, I got a call that YUNBLUD wanted to come to Sarasota to work with me and write some songs,” Perry says. “I had heard his single and said, hell yeah, this guy’s got the juice. Four days in the studio and we got to know each other along with his team. I called Steven and told him, you have to hear this guy YUNGBLUD — he’s the real deal. Fast forward to May and we’re in the studio with Steven recording new music. The end result turned out to be an amazing collaboration between Aerosmith and Yungblud. Let the music do the talking.”

“For Joe and me it was another cosmic collision to find ourselves in the studio with this outrageously talented and positively wild animal named Dom,” adds Tyler. “Here’s this kid that lives his life out loud [and] grew up on our records and the British Invasion, and now we’re in the studio together creating something that bridges generations. He devoured all the same greats looked up to and then he started to dream on. It’s as simple as that.”

“Aerosmith have been such a staple of rock’n’roll and showmanship for me, so I’ve been ready for this my whole life,” enthuses YUNGBLUD. “As soon as we entered the studio, the chemistry exploded and the songs just poured out of us. It’s the kind of collaboration that young me wouldn’t even dream of, so to sit here holding a vinyl in my hand that says Aerosmith and YUNGBLUD on it is truly blowing my mind. Steven and Joe are at the top of their game and working with them is a huge fucking honor. I’m making records with my heros, the show is insane every night and rock’n’roll is waking the fuck up, whether you like it or not. I’m loving every second.”

Yungblud and Aerosmith announce ‘One More Time’ EP ahead of dropping ‘My Only Angel’

by jummy84 September 17, 2025
written by jummy84

Ahead of their new single, ‘My Only Angel’, Yungblud and Aerosmith have confirmed that they have collaborated on an EP called ‘One More Time’.

The two worked together earlier this month when Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry joined Yungblud in paying a moving tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the 2025 MTV VMAs.

After the performance, the two of them shared a clip on social media suggesting they had a “secret”, and later confirmed that they had worked together on a powerful single called ‘My Only Angel’.

Now, it has been confirmed that the song will arrive this Friday (September 19), and will be part of the a collaborative EP dubbed ‘One More Time’.

A teaser of the song was shared last night, and showed Yungblud and Tyler singing “Will you cry / if I called you my angel / gotta leave, gotta leave, gotta leave you one more time”. It also showed Yungblud kissing Tyler on the cheek as the Aerosmith icon exclaims, “Nice! Fuckin’ a. Shit. Hallelujah!”

The new song will mark the first original track that Aerosmith have worked on in over a decade – following ‘Music From Another Dimension!’ which arrived in 2012. It also marks the first new music from the iconic rock band since they abruptly retired from touring last summer due to Tyler injuring his voice.

Work on ‘One More Time’ began at the end of last year, when the two of them met up in Los Angeles and joined forces with producer Matt Schwartz. The final touches were added in May.

You can pre-save the new single here, and visit here to pre-order the EP.

The performance at the VMAs in tribute to Ozzy Osbourne came following Yungblud teaming up with members of Extreme, Sleep Token and more to perform a moving rendition of ‘Changes’ at the ‘Back To The Beginning’ Black Sabbath farewell show, which was held just weeks before the Prince Of Darkness’ death in July.

Before he took to the stage in Birmingham, touching footage of Yungblud gifting Osbourne a necklace went viral and, after Osbourne’s death, Yungblud vowed to play ‘Changes’ at every show “for the rest of my life”.

Shortly after that, Yungblud spoke to NME about the impact that Ozzy had on him since childhood. “Ozzy was a character in my life who was a reflection of everything I went through,” he said. “I was always a bit over the top. I was always seen to be a bit crazy. I was always seen to be a bit loud, but when some people saw that as a negative, Ozzy would provide me with the hope that there was an avenue for someone like me in the world.”

“From such a young age, he really inspired me. Then, to know him as a friend towards the end, to know his heart, and to know Sharon Osbourne… I really started to understand that they did things their way,” he continued. “It’s always been inspirational.”

Yungblud and Steven Tyler Lead Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne

The late Ozzy Osbourne was honored with a tribute performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night (September 7th), led by Yungblud and Steven Tyler.

After video message by Jack Osbourne and his family, as well as a video montage of Ozzy through the years, Yungblud kicked off the VMAs musical tribute by singing “Crazy Train,” with Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt leading the backing band.

Yungblud strained a bit singing “Crazy Train,” but did a stellar job on the next song, Black Sabbath’s “Changes,” which he also sang at the Back to the Beginning concert earlier this summer.

Tyler then walked onstage with his Aerosmith bandmate Joe Perry to sing “Mama, I’m Coming Home.” The singer, whose vocal injury forced Aerosmith to retire from touring last year, delivered the Ozzy ballad with a heartfelt rasp, and was joined by Yungblud for the second half of the song.

The tribute ended with video of Ozzy in concert, saying, “Thank you, goodnight. We love you all. God bless you!”

Yungblud to join Aerosmith members for all-star Ozzy Osbourne tribute at MTV VMAs 2025

Yungblud will join the members of Aerosmith for a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the MTV VMAs this weekend.

The 42nd Video Music Awards are taking place in the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York on Sunday night (September 7), and a portion of the show will pay tribute to the late Black Sabbath frontman, who passed away in July at the age of 76.

Yungblud will join forces with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, as well as Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt during the ceremony for a medley of Osbourne’s greatest hits.

The VMAs will be broadcast live on CBS and MTV from 8pm ET in the US, while UK viewers will be able to watch it on Comedy Central and MTV at 9pm on Monday night (September 8).

Yungblud was a part of the ‘Back To The Beginning’ Black Sabbath farewell show in Birmingham in July, an event that took on extra poignancy when Osbourne died less than three weeks later. Yungblud led a supergroup that also included Bettencourt, as well as II from Sleep Token and Adam Wakeman of Ozzy Osbourne’s solo band.

They performed the Sabbath ballad ‘Changes’, and after Osbourne’s death, Yungblud vowed to play the song at every show “for the rest of my life”, adding: ““To sing this song for you at an event surrounded by legends inspired by you to a crowd who loved you was truly my life’s greatest honour.”

Yungblud also posted an emotional tribute to Osbourne, saying: “You have been my North Star for everything for as long as I can remember from when I was misunderstood as a child to the way people thought I was just a little ‘too much’ or ‘strange’ in my life and career.”

He later spoke to NME about the impact that Ozzy has had on his career. “Ozzy was a character in my life who was a reflection of everything I went through,” he said. “I was always a bit over the top. I was always seen to be a bit crazy. I was always seen to be a bit loud, but when some people saw that as a negative, Ozzy would provide me with the hope that there was an avenue for someone like me in the world.

“From such a young age, he really inspired me. Then, to know him as a friend towards the end, to know his heart, and to know Sharon Osbourne… I really started to understand that they did things their way. It’s always been inspirational because, for me, the biggest enemy to any artist or anything is the phrase, ‘This is just how it’s done’. That’s a cop out. ‘This is how it’s done’ was once an innovative idea that got stale.

“All I care about are the people outside, and I want to make this the most magical adventure for them, and something that we’re gonna have together. [Ozzy’s death] is still raw at the minute. It’s been a very weird couple of weeks. But losing someone I admired and got to know really made me think about the idea of legacy and connection with people. All that matters is the connection with them.”

Yungblud also broke down in tears during a performance of ‘Changes’ in the US recently, while Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler described one of his shows as the “best” he’d seen in years.

Elsewhere at the VMAs, Lady Gaga will be performing there for the first time in five years, joining the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, J Balvin and Busta Rhymes. Check out the full list of VMAs nominations here.
