Shah Rukh Khan And Salman Khan’s Cameos In Alpha Could Change The Game For YRF Spy Universe! | Glamsham.com

Fans may soon witness a Shah Rukh Khan-Alia Bhatt reunion, as reports suggest that producer Aditya Chopra is keen on the superstar making a cameo in Alia’s upcoming spy thriller, Alpha. According to Bollywood Hungama, Chopra has already approached SRK, requesting three to four days of his schedule in November for the appearance. Given that Shah Rukh Khan plays Pathaan in YRF’s spy universe, a cameo in Alpha is plausible, though nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

A source revealed, “At the moment, Pathaan is the most talked-about character of the Spy Universe. Aditya Chopra has designed a special part for Shah Rukh Khan that potentially leads into Pathaan 2. SRK has asked for some time to consider the proposal, as his November schedule is largely blocked for King.” The source added that if a full cameo isn’t possible, SRK might appear in an end-credit sequence instead.

Interestingly, YRF is reportedly exploring a similar cameo for Salman Khan as Tiger, though the writing for that sequence is still in development. The makers want it to have the same impact as Salman’s Tiger in Pathaan.

Meanwhile, Alpha underwent revisions following the box-office failure of War 2. Senior journalist Subhash K Jha reported that concerns over director Shiv Rawail’s inexperience led Aditya Chopra to step in and reshape the film. Changes are reportedly being made to both the screenplay and execution to ensure it meets YRF’s standards and strengthens the Spy Universe brand.

Fans first glimpsed Alpha in the post-credit scene of War 2, where Bobby Deol made a surprise appearance. He stamps an agency logo on a young girl’s hand, explaining that “Alpha” symbolizes “The first, the fastest, the strongest.” This has sparked speculation that the girl may be a younger version of Alia Bhatt’s character. Bobby Deol is expected to play the main antagonist, possibly mentoring Alia’s character before becoming her nemesis, adding a thrilling mentor-turned-enemy angle to the story.

The final decision on SRK’s cameo is expected within the next week or so.

On 8 October Wednesday, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived at the iconic Yash Raj Films (YRF) studio in Mumbai during his two-day trade visit to India. The visit, aimed at increasing business and cultural cooperation, particularly in the creative industry, saw Starmer welcomed warmly by actress Rani Mukerji, YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani, and waving children.

Starmer screened the film specially at the studio and held talks with Mukerji and Widhani on how to enhance cooperation between the entertainment industries of the UK and India. The UK Prime Minister noted Bollywood’s rekindled interest in Britain, underlining its ability to drive jobs, investment, and cross-cultural exchange. “Bollywood is back in Britain,” he said, “with opportunity and growth and showcasing the UK as a world-class destination to make films.”

YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani also discussed the importance of the UK to YRF, reminding us that Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) was shot there. The visit comes also after the 30th anniversary of DDLJ and with YRF currently producing Come Fall in Love—a stage adaptation of DDLJ in English—in the UK.

As part of this new collaboration, the British Film Institute and the National Film Development Corporation of India entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU will facilitate co-productions, make sharing talent possible, and open up easier access to UK locations and infrastructure for Indian producers.

India’s premier movie production company, Yash Raj Films (YRF), has announced its intention to produce its major films in the United Kingdom from the beginning of 2026. The ground-breaking decision is set to generate more than 3,000 jobs and put millions of pounds into the UK economy. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer made the announcement in Mumbai today as part of a high-profile trade mission to further UK-India relations.

The Prime Minister paid a visit to Yash Raj Studios, the 20th anniversary of which falls on October 12, along with a British delegation of film industry leaders such as the British Film Institute (BFI), British Film Commission, Pinewood Studios, Elstree Studios and Civic Studios. The visit reflects increased cooperation between the two countries’ flourishing creative industries.

Bollywood is back in Britain,” declared Prime Minister Starmer. “It’s bringing jobs, investment and opportunity, all while promoting the UK as a world-class destination for global film-making. This is precisely the sort of partnership our trade agreement with India is set to unlock.

The UK’s film industry, worth £12 billion annually and supporting 90,000 jobs, is a popular destination for international filmmakers due to its state-of-the-art studio infrastructure and iconic landscapes. YRF’s return to filming in the UK, after an eight-year hiatus, signals renewed confidence and opportunity following the UK-India trade deal negotiations.

YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani was bubbling with enthusiasm over reviving the links with the UK, as some of the company’s most legendary films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) were shot there. “It is really wonderful to revive YRF and UK’s filming relationship on DDLJ’s 30th anniversary,” he added. The company has also produced an English musical adaptation of the film, Come Fall in Love, in the UK.

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy, on her part, was pleased with the partnership, which she noted conforms to the UK’s Creative Industries Sector Plan to drive growth and worldwide impact.

Furthermore, a new cooperation deal between the BFI and India’s National Film Development Corporation will enhance co-productions and promote talent exchange between the two countries.

This partnership not only enhances cultural and economic ties but is also an extension of previous successes such as Slumdog Millionaire, which added £300 million to the UK economy. As India’s film industry keeps expanding, partnerships such as this one pledge a colorful, mutually rewarding future for Indian and UK cinema.

Yash Raj Film, India’s leading film production and distribution company, have confirmed plans to bring their major productions to locations across the United Kingdom from early 2026, creating over 3,000 jobs and boosting the economy by millions of pounds, the Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced in Mumbai today.

YRF To Shoot 3 Major Projects In UK 2026 Onwards

To mark the announcement, the Prime Minister visited Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai today alongside a delegation of some of Britain’s biggest names in film including the British Film Institute, the British Film Commission, Pinewood Studios, Elstree Studios and Civic Studios. Yash Raj’s Studio completes 20 years of operations in India on October 12th.

The Prime Minister is on a two-day trade mission to strengthen ties with one of the fastest growing economies in the world and put money back into the pockets of hard-working British people. That includes deepening the collaboration of the UK and India’s globally renowned creative industries.

The UK film industry contributes £12 billion a year to the economy and supports 90,000 jobs across every region of the country. It is a sought-after destination for international filmmakers thanks to its world-leading studio infrastructure and iconic backdrops.

India is the largest producer of films in the world, and Yash Raj’s commitment follows an 8-year hiatus from filming in the UK – showcasing the impact the UK-India trade deal is already having. The UK’s creative industries are globally recognised as world-leading, consistently setting international trends and commanding respect for artistic excellence, commercial success and cultural influence worldwide.

UK PM Keir Starmer On This New Collab

As a country of 1.4 billion with a growing entertainment industry, India represents a major opportunity for UK companies to expand and grow – and vice versa. Prime Minister Keir Starmer said, “Bollywood is back in Britain, and it’s bringing jobs, investment and opportunity, all while showcasing the UK as a world-class destination for global filmmaking. This is exactly the kind of partnership our trade deal with India is destined to unlock – driving growth, strengthening cultural ties and delivering for communities across the country.”

CEO Akshaye Windhani On YRF’s New Venture

Yash Raj Films’ CEO Akshaye Widhani said, “The UK holds a very special place in our hearts and some of our most iconic films, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) were shot in this beautiful and incredibly hospitable country. We were honoured to host the UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at YRF today to ink this pact and also had the pleasure to discuss how India and UK could come together to push the content landscape globally through landmark collaborations like this.”

He added, “It is truly special to reignite YRF and UK’s filming ties in the 30th anniversary of DDLJ – a film that is synonymous to UK-India’s relationship. Our company is currently producing the stage adaptation of DDLJ, the English musical titled Come Fall in Love (CFIL) in the UK too. So, we are thrilled to join hands with UK again and return to filming in the country that has always been extremely kind to us. UK’s infrastructure, technology and talent is unmatched and we are delighted to deepen our cultural ties with a country that has always empowered us to excel creatively.”

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy On This New Colla

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said, “The UK’s and India’s film industries are truly world class, entertaining billions around the world. Given the strength of our sectors and the deep cultural ties between our two countries, partnerships between Bollywood and British studios make complete sense. By making these Bollywood blockbusters in Britain we will be driving more growth in our world-class creative industries, as we committed to in our Creative Industries Sector Plan.”

About The New YRF Venture

Today’s announcement is the latest example of how the UK’s deepening partnerships with India’s booming cultural scene will create new jobs, drive investment and bolster creative content in the UK, while celebrating our valuable people-to-people links.

Supporting this further will be a cooperation agreement (MoU) between the British Film Institute and the National Film Development Commission of India, which will reinvigorate co-production and enable filmmakers from both countries to share resources and talent.

Past Indian productions have yielded global hits. Cross-cultural hit film Slumdog Millionaire, brought in around £300million to the UK economy, on a budget of just £12milllion, highlighting what’s possible when UK technical expertise and Indian storytelling unite.
