Ying Yang Twins Talk New Favs And Strip Club Classics.

As veterans of the Crunk era, the Ying Yang Twins have established themselves as party starters. This fall, they revived that energy at the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final, where competitors delivered their best freestyle moves hoping to come out on top. Behind the scenes, the duo channeled a mellow energy, juxtaposed against the hype of their hits such as “Salt Shaker.

“I like DaBaby, Latto, GloRilla, Lil Baby,” shared Kaine with VIBE when asked about some of their favorite artists of the new generation. “They got nice songs,” he added with D-Roc’s agreement.

As the conversation continued, the brothers in rhyme explained respectfully that although they do enjoy some of the music, not every release meets their personal standards.

“I’ma a hard music critic,” Kaine continued. “I can’t lie about music. This is a God given talent.”

“Everybody who doing their thing right now, that’s basically what we listen to,” added D-Roc. “If it sound good, I’ll play it.”

“A lot of these songs to me still aren’t hit records,” countered Kaine. “I’m just being honest… What happens when we come on? They hit the floor. Some music today is just fly on the wall music…drive through music…when you pull away from the drive through, you’re still hungry for more.”

Turning the energy back up, the Atlanta representatives continued to lay out their favorite strip club anthems, naming tracks from 2 Live Crew, SoundMasterT and of course, themselves.

Bowen Yang Present On Sabrina Carpenter-Hosted ‘SNL’ Despite Missing Live Taping

Bowen Yang was still featured on Saturday Night Live on multiple occasions despite missing the live taping of the late-night sketch show.

Earlier today, Deadline reported that Yang was going to miss SNL tonight as he was set to receive the Vantage Award at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles.

Yang’s first mention on the Lorne Michaels-produced show was during Sabrina Carpenter‘s monologue.

The “Please Please Please” singer addressed the controversy surrounding her album cover, where she is seen kneeling in front of a man who is holding her by the hair. Carpenter joked that the man standing in front of her was actually Yang, showing him in a zoomed-out version of the album cover for Man’s Best Friend.

Yang’s bigger role on this week’s SNL was during a pre-taped sketch for the music video “Middle School Lovin’.” In the pop video, Yang and Carpenter play middle schoolers going to a school-sponsored dance where they “break the rules” and “grind” on each other.

“You know it girl, it’s finally time. I see you eyeing me at school. It’s been on both of our minds, and I’m feelin’ grown, twelve sprays of my dad’s cologne,” Yang sings in the pop video.

As the duo arrives at school, they sing, “We’re breaking the rules and I know that it’s wrong, but it’s feeling so right. We’re thirteen, but tonight is the night — we’re going to grind.”

Samuel Guì Yang Shanghai Spring 2026 Collection

by jummy84 October 16, 2025

Founded by Samuel Guidong Yang in London in 2015, Samuel Guì Yang is today one of China’s most prominent fashion exports. Yang himself is also something of a hometown hero with a thoughtful East-meets-West aesthetic that has come to define New Chinese Style. Since 2017 Yang has been designing the collection alongside his partner and co-founder Erik Litzén. This season, they celebrated the label’s 10th anniversary with a show at the Rockbund Art Museum, a beautiful example of Shanghai’s unique blend of eastern and western architecture that has sat at the intersection of the Huangpu River and the Suzhou Creek since 1932.

“It felt nice to be able to be nostalgic about what we’ve done,” Litzén said, “even though it’s hard for designers to be nostalgic because you want to make something new.” Yang expanded: “You have memories, and then you can create—you cannot create on nothing. It felt good to reflect on what we have done and be honest about it.”

The collection did include some reissues, like a rubber sweater vest from an early outing and their original red dress, first introduced in 2017. A particularly stunning piece was a jacket first from 2019 that’s tailored and slim but fills out at the hip. All were made with better fabrics and the precise cutting they’re known for. Watching the show it felt like a privilege to witness designers like these evolve over time.

But there was also newness, most of it very good and executed with confidence. “When you have 10 years under your belt you take more chances,” Litzén said. Their newfound boldness came primarily in the shape of interesting volumes: a ballgown-like apron, a grand shoulder drape, some dramatic wraps, and even a pretty fabulous veil on a baseball cap. These punctuated the pragmatism of great trousers, easy eveningwear, and some fantastic windbreakers. “I think we managed to get a good flow,” Litzén concluded.

Apropos, the duo said that for this collection they ruminated on the lunar cycle and its effect on tides and waves—the ebb and flow of energy, the natural rhythm of the ocean. It’s a poetic way of reflecting on their own growth, but it had a practical effect on their collection, too. These were clothes that looked as good coming as they did going. “We wanted something that felt grand, like a big wave,” said Yang. May the next decade be just that.

‘SNL’ Stars Bowen Yang, Marcello Hernández, More React to Cast Exodus

Amid the cast shake-up at Saturday Night Live, current and former stars are sharing their reactions to the news ahead of season 51.

Last week, it was revealed that Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Devon Walker and Emil Wakim have exited the long-running NBC sketch comedy series — the most departures since 2022, when eight people left SNL ahead of season 48.

Some of those leaving took to their respective social media accounts to announce their departures, leading other current and former SNL stars to react in the comments.

Longfellow shared on Instagram that he’s leaving after three seasons. Bowen Yang responded to his post, writing, “Jesus WAS Chinese. I love you Michael.” The Wicked actor was referencing Longfellow’s claim during one of his previous Weekend Update segments.

Marcello Hernández also shared, “Love bro, thank you for letting me cfb whenever, my roommate,” to which Longfellow replied, “the ps5, shes yours now brother.”

Wakim added, “Yellow room forever u can play as many bones songs as u want.”

Molly Shannon, who was a castmember on SNL from 1995 to 2001 and returned to host in 2007 and 2023, also commented on Longfellow’s post, “You RULE michael. So honored and happy to have gotten to meet you and work with you. Congratulations on an excellent run on SNL! love talking to you when I was there. Wishing you so much continued success.”

As for Walker, who is also departing the NBC comedy show after three seasons, Chloe Fineman wrote under his post on Instagram, “I’ll miss being your pregnant wife all the time!!!!!” Gardner also commented, “I love you.”

Shannon added, “So nice meeting you Devon! Wishing you so much continued success.”

Wakim, who is exiting SNL after one season, previously shared on social media that it wasn’t his choice to exit the show. Former castmember Punkie Johnson, who left the show last year, responded, “Omg at first glance I thought this was a birthday post…this is really truly surprising…I’m glad you are focusing on the good and are proud of yourself and the work you put in not many people can say they were on SNL and for the 50th in legendary… You a legend baby… Outside ain’t bad. Welcome back.”

Fineman also commented, “Your such a stat and ill miss sitting next to the best dressed man at table read!!!”

Gardner, who was a castmember on SNL for eight seasons, has yet to comment on her departure on social media.

Executive producer Lorne Michaels and castmember Kenan Thompson previously teased that cast changes were likely. It’s unclear if more people are expected to leave the show ahead of the season 51 premiere on Oct. 4.
