10 Best Tights for Women 2025, Reviewed and Styled by Editors

This pair of black tights pulls double duty, from demure to sultry. Wolford’s leopard-print fishnet tights offer a sheer, speckled look that’s easy to pair with pieces in your closet, like a simple minidress and tall boots. “While I’m not typically a huge fishnet fan, these are subtle and tightly woven enough that they have a more smooth finish for an elegant touch of animal print,” says Lebet, who praises their durability. The jacquard weave lends itself better to hand-washing—but at least the pattern also helps to conceal any rogue snags.

A pair of red tights can give any outfit a nostalgic, playful feel, and this pick from Swedish Stockings is the perfect cherry-red hue. Lebet found an unexpected wardrobe staple in these tights, saying they make even the simplest of outfits feel more considered and nostalgic. “I wear a lot of dark colors and jewel tones, so I was shocked at how the vibrance of these tights managed to fit in so seamlessly with my closet,” Lebet says. The tights have a soft, shiny appearance for a not-quite-matte look that works well with, say, a pair of Mary Janes and a wool midiskirt. The 60-denier style leans slightly more opaque, offering a vibrant pop of color, and a control top offers some light compression and a smoothing effect. While Lebet notes they’re not the most invincible against the churn of a washing machine, hand-washing and air-drying help maintain their lifespan.

How we tested

Glamour editors, contributors, and trusted reviewers tested these tights by measuring how well they held up after multiple wears and washes without ripping, running or snags. (Sheertex took the cake for these qualities.) Other factors for consideration included how easy they were to put on, and how well they elevated an outfit.

All your tights questions, answered

How should tights fit?

According to stylist Audree Kate López, tights should fit your legs snugly, but not too tightly that they dig in or restrict movement, as this can make them more likely to tear. “If you are tall or curvy, I suggest sizing up for extra stretch. Personally, I’m only 5-feet-3, but sometimes I size up to accommodate my hips,” she says. It’s important to note that the groin area shouldn’t be saggy, and the tights shouldn’t feel like they’re falling down when walking: “They should fit like second skin or a pair of workout leggings. If they leave marks on your skin, they’re too small,” she explains.

How to prevent tights from ripping

In addition to ensuring that they’re the right fit, there are a few ways to actually make sure that your tights don’t rip. “First, put them on properly, by rolling them up your leg, and being gentle with them,” López says. You’ll also want to store them with similar items like undergarments or socks, or in a bag so they don’t snag in your drawer.

“I’d also recommend putting them in a laundry bag before washing them, or hand washing them and hanging them to dry, as dryers can also be too harsh on the material,” López adds. Remember to let any body moisturizer dry before putting them on, and you can also spray the tights with hairspray once you have them on to reinforce fibers and prevent runs. Pro tip: “If you see a run in your tights—apply clear nail polish to the run to prevent it from continuing to tear,” she says.

How to style tights

Going for a monochrome look (like black on black) is always a failsafe way to style tights, but if you’re thinking about trying your hand at styling a more colorful pair, test them out with some tall boots so the hosiery hue doesn’t overwhelm the outfit.

“If you want the tights to make a statement, you can add in accessories like a bag, jewelry, or shoes that match and complement the tights,” López says. Bright colors, in particular, can feel intimidating at first, so she recommends starting with darker shades like brown, navy, burgundy or maroon. “Work to layer them in with mini skirts and tall boots, or a long jacket so it’s a little pop of color that feels more chic,” López explains.

Blueface Unmoved By Chrisean Rock & Jaidyn Alexis’ Reignited Feud, Says Both Women Abandoned Him During Prison Stint: Never Forget Who Left You’

#Blueface hasn’t even been out a full week, and already the mothers of his children, #ChriseanRock and #JaidynAlexis, are back to trading shots online.

The rapper took to X to make it clear he has no intention of getting serious with either woman again, accusing them of leaving him “stranded for de@d” while he was behind bars. Addressing the person he was dating before his release, Blueface wrote, “nothing is ever really locked in so now I’m back on the prowl.” He didn’t hold back when it came to #Chrisean and Jaidyn either, saying, “if I wasn’t out today they’d still be f*ggin off…..they will never get the chance to do that again.”

In follow-up posts, he added, “When you do time you will never forget who left you there. … Everybody wanna hold you down when you up but nobody wanna hold you up when you down.” His comments come as both of his exes fall back into their usual tension with each other. Things nearly escalated when #Jaidyn arrived to pick up her kids shortly after Chrisean popped up during Blue’s reunion with the minors.

Chile… only time will tell whether Blue is over the drama or if this is just another chapter.

See Tyla’s Look at the 2025 ‘Glamour’ Women of the Year Awards

To achieve her memorable looks, Tyla isn’t afraid to get creative. “I will take a top and I will stretch the neck and make it into a skirt, and then I will take my top and I’ll cut it up. I will just make it happen,” she told Glamour in her Women of the Year profile. As for whether Tyla will turn people’s obsession with her style into a business (like, say, her own clothing line), she’s open to the idea. “Girl, if it could come out today. I want to do everything,” she said.

But for now, Tyla’s main focus is her music—and she has a clear vision for it. “I want everyone to be dancing,” she said. “I want nobody to be worried about what they look like. What’s the point of life if everything is based on what other people think about you?”

Demi Moore was the first honoree to speak, and she gave an inspiring speech about how she learned to tune out noise so she could keep fighting for the projects she believed in. “When I was younger, I was afraid to admit that I don’t know,” she said. “And now, I’ve learned that saying ‘I don’t know’ or ‘I don’t have all the answers’ isn’t a weakness.”

After Tyla praised the kind of village it takes to make a global pop star, Alex Newell took the stage at the Glamour Women of the Year event. The star is about to start their Broadway run in Chicago and graced the audience with a performance of “I Know Where I’ve Been” from Hairspray.

Next up was Rachel Zegler with her own moving speech, followed by Rachel Accurso a.k.a Ms. Rachel. “I know our hearts have room for children beyond our own children and beyond the children of our country,” the latter said to a standing ovation. Read her full moving speech on Glamour.com.

Makeup legend Pat McGrath talked about her childhood as a kid Northampton and thanked her mother for teaching her that “beauty isn’t about color but about identity and self-expression and joy.”

Comedian and podcaster Hasan Minhaj then took the mic to introduce the women of the WNBA. “As a stand up comedian and podcaster, I think everyone knows why I’m here—to honor excellence in athletic achievement,” he joked. The Blue Demon Beacon high school cheer team then entered the room with a rousing call and response. Lexie Hull, Nyara Sabally, and Jonquel Jones were on hand to represent the women of the WNBA.

“You may have heard, but we are in a bit of a negotiation right now,” Hull told the crowd. “We fight our rivals hard on the court, but now we’re fighting for fair pay, safer play, and better resources for every player in the WNBA. Tonight, we want to thank the fans who are standing with us as we make the WNBA the best league in the world.”

Screenwriter says Kerala State Film Awards jury owes women apology over Best Lyricist to alleged abuser Vedan

The Kerala State Film Awards were announced on Monday evening. There has been backlash since then, including from Deedi Damodaran.

Filmmaker-screenwriter and founding member of Women in Cinema Collective (WCC), Deedi Damodaran took to her Facebook account on Wednesday to slam the jury of the Kerala State Film Awards. She called them out for giving the Best Lyricist award to Hirandas Murali, better known as rapper Vedan, who was accused in a rape case earlier this year. She also stated that the jury owed the women of Kerala an apology. (Also Read: Child actor Deva Nandha slams Prakash Raj after he snubs children’s categories at Kerala State Film Awards)

Vedan received bail from the court after a case was filed against him in July this year for the alleged rape of a doctor.

Deedi Damodaran slams state awards jury over platforming Vedan

Vedan was given the Best Lyricist award for penning the lyrics of the song Kuthanthram from the 2024 hit Manjummel Boys. The winners of this year’s awards were decided by a jury headed by Prakash Raj. In her Facebook post, Deedi stated that the lines by Vedan, “viyarppu thunnititta kuppayam” (the shirt stitched with sweat), were “magnificent”, but the award was“stained by blood” from the wounds of the victims. She also wrote that no song can erase or conceal that.

Deedi further wrote, “The jury’s decision amounts to a breach of trust against the government’s policy declarations at the recent film conclave that those who exploit women will not be protected,” adding, “Even if this decision cannot be reversed through legal means, the film jury owes an apology to the women of Kerala for etching such a verdict into the history of cinema.” The screenwriter made her post after Vedan celebrated his win on Instagram by writing the exact lyrics she pointed out.

Sexual assault allegations against Vedan

In 2021, Vedan was accused of alleged sexual misconduct during the MeToo movement. However, no formal complaints were filed. In July this year, a rape case was filed against Vedan at the Thrikkakara police station in Kochi, Kerala. A young doctor accused the musician of sexually assaulting her multiple times between August 2021 and March 2023 under the guise of marriage after they met via social media.

In August, the Kerala High Court granted him anticipatory bail in the case, stating that “labelling physical intimacy as rape after a relationship ceased to exist is illogical and harsh.” He was arrested on record in September and released on bail. In August, a music researcher had also filed a sexual harassment complaint against Vedan, and the Ernakulam Central police registered a case against him. A chargesheet was filed against him in October. In November, the HC amended a previous condition imposed on him, allowing him to travel abroad for work.

Ms. Rachel Has Poignant Message at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards: ‘Hateful Responses Aren’t What Matters’

by jummy84 November 5, 2025
written by jummy84

We’re always paying attention to what Rachel Accurso, better known to the world as Ms. Rachel, has to say—and not just because she’s mostly speaking in a delightfully high-pitched singsong voice.

The children’s entertainer and entrepreneur, who was honored tonight as one of Glamour’s Women of the Year, addressed the (adult) crowd at this year’s WOTY ceremony, held at The Plaza hotel in New York City.

In her speech, Ms. Rachel reflected on the theme of sisterhood, thanking her mother, who raised her and her sister as a single mom, as well as her actual sister, Rebecca.

“We started a band called the Sisteristics, so I think that’s really in the spirt of sisterhood,” she said, adding, “It was really weird,” to laughter in the room. “She always reminded me that the hateful responses aren’t what matters; what matters are the people who are suffering. And those of us who see things clearly and morally need to support their voices and their calls for justice.”

Ms. Rachel continued with a message of perseverance: “No matter how hard some people try to convince us that empathy is wrong, it’s right,” she said. “No matter how hard people try to convince us that diversity is a weakness, it’s a strength. No matter how hard people try to convince us that love is limited, it’s limitless.”

Speaking earlier to Glamour’s global editorial director, Samantha Barry, Ms. Rachel opened up about her decision to advocate for children all over the world, specifically in areas of crisis such as Gaza and Sudan.

“My love and care for children doesn’t stop at my own children,” she explained. “It doesn’t stop at the children in our country. It embraces every child of the world. I don’t think that our love should end at religion or skin color or where people are born.”

Ms. Rachel arrived to the Women of the Year Awards ceremony alongside her husband, Aron Accurso, whom fans often refer to as Mr. Aron. Though the couple make an adorable pair, all eyes were on Ms. Rachel and her stunning evening gown. Her upcycled dress features embroidery on the capelet and train, the designs drawn from drawings that were sent to her by Gazan children.

What makes the perfect red-carpet look? At Glamour’s annual Women of the Year Awards, the answer is, well, glamour itself: that impossible-to-define balance of elegance and wit that elevates an outfit into an ensemble. Attendees often don’t simply dress to dazzle; many looks have messages literally woven in, like Mariska Hargitay’s “B” necklace in 2023 and Busy Philipps’s “Abortion Is on the Ballot” clutch the year before. And 2025’s red carpet is especially meaningful, with attendees like Ms. Rachel sending strong messages.

So while we’ve gathered to celebrate luminaries like outspoken actors, world-class athletes, boundary-smashing musicians, and entertainers who refuse to stay silent about their beliefs, there’s also plenty of room to obsess over every sartorial detail. Follow along as we update this story with all the biggest fashion moments from the 2025 Glamour Women of the Year Awards.

Bollywood Missed The Moment: India’s Women Made History | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 November 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Bollywood must already be on the phones. Production houses racing to secure rights, writers dusting off their “sports biopic” templates, and actors quietly pitching themselves for roles as Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, or Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, etc.

Because, really, how could they resist? India’s women’s cricket team has delivered the ultimate script — courage, resilience, heartbreak, and triumph — all culminating in a glorious night at the DY Patil Stadium where they lifted the ICC Women’s World Cup.

It’s cinematic gold. And a film will be made — complete with slow-motion shots, a swelling background score, and the patriotic euphoria that Bollywood knows how to bottle perfectly.

But before the film cameras roll, it’s worth asking – where were the real cameras last night? Where were the celebrities who pack VIP boxes at men’s cricket matches, turning stadiums into red carpets? Where were the same stars who flood social media during IPL finals and national team victories?

Because this time, when the women of Indian cricket scripted the nation’s greatest sporting moment in recent years, the stands were tellingly empty of the country’s biggest names — both from Bollywood and from men’s cricket.

Only a handful stood witness: Rohit Sharma, dignified in his presence; Sachin Tendulkar, ever the statesman of sport. The rest — the legends, icons, and influencers — were missing.

Among them, perhaps most notably, the MS Dhoni. The man who gave India its 2011 World Cup glory. The symbol of calm leadership, of composure under fire. His social media congratulation was warm and timely, yes — but cheering through a post isn’t quite the same as showing up in person when history is being written.

The same applies to others — the active stars who command brands, billboards, and broadcast slots; the ones who spend hours shooting commercials about passion, teamwork, and the spirit of cricket. They show up for endorsements, for launches, for photo ops at men’s matches. But when the women brought home the world’s biggest cricketing title, they were nowhere to be seen.

And Bollywood — the same industry that will soon celebrate these women on screen — was no different. Its silence and absence from the stadium echoed a hypocrisy we’ve long normalised: we adore stories of women breaking barriers, but rarely stand beside them as they do it in real time.

This isn’t an indictment — it’s an observation of priorities. Had even a few of the men’s cricketing greats — Dhoni, Kohli, Kapil Dev — been there, it would have created an unforgettable image: the torch of cricket’s legacy being passed across generations, across gender. It would have told every girl that her victory is not a side note in India’s cricketing saga — it is the saga.

Instead, the women stood on that podium, radiant and resolute, celebrating among themselves. Perhaps that’s how it should be — maybe they no longer need validation from the same ecosystem that once overlooked them.

Still, one can’t help but think: what an example it would have set if the biggest faces of Indian cricket — and of Bollywood — had been there to applaud in person.

Presence, after all, is the truest form of respect. And last night, it was the women who turned up — not just to play, but to redefine Indian cricket forever.

As the nation now prepares for the inevitable film, perhaps the industry — both cricketing and cinematic — should pause for a moment of introspection.

Because while Bollywood will soon dramatize this story on screen, the real drama of the night lay elsewhere — in the irony that when India’s women reached the pinnacle of world cricket, the crowd that always claims to love the game, simply stayed home.

Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Says Women Want to Join Family

by jummy84 November 3, 2025

Kody Brown Still Has Women Asking to Join His Family

Should Kody still be interested in having his love multiplied, there’s no shortage of options.

As he revealed to Robyn on the Nov. 2 episode, “I got another one of those emails from some woman talking about plural marriage.”

The unnamed person was “kind of chastising me for deciding to quit plural marriage,” he explained to his sole remaining bride. And then she offered up her services. “She’s calling me out,” Kody explained to Robyn, “and then asking sort of like to get to know us for the purpose of joining the family.”

Truthfully, it wasn’t an immediate no from Robyn, who admitted in a confessional, “For a split second, I think, ‘Oh, wouldn’t this be great? This is what I’ve always wanted for my life.’ And, ‘Hmm, would they fit.'”

Ultimately, though, it was a no.

“I find it very inappropriate that they would send it to Kody,” she explained of her issue with the outreach. “It’s not usually proper to go hitting on a guy. You have to go through the sister wives.”
