bitchy | Duchess Meghan’s As Ever product drop today will include candles & a new wine

by jummy84 October 29, 2025
written by jummy84

The Duchess of Sussex’s As Ever brand is doing a product drop today, in a short time. The items will apparently come online at noon on the East coast, 9 am on the West coast. I had my fingers crossed for a raspberry jam restock and I was hoping for some interesting new products. I didn’t expect Meghan to venture into candles! And mulled wine! And more! Women’s Wear Daily got a preview of the new As Ever items:

Meghan Markle has introduced the first holiday collection from her lifestyle brand, As Ever, marking the label’s expansion since its launch this past spring. Available exclusively on asever.com, the curated range includes candles, California-harvested honey, artisanal fruit spreads, mulling spice kits, and a limited-edition sparkling wine from Napa Valley.

The collection is inspired by the spirit of gifting and gatherings, reflecting the brand’s focus on home, celebration and everyday ritual. Among the highlights are two hand-poured candles crafted in California. Signature Candle No. 519, named after Markle’s wedding date (May 19) with Prince Harry, features Moroccan mint and white tea notes, while Candle No. 084 draws from her Aug. 4 birthday and carries hints of sandalwood, lotus and poppy. Both are housed in ceramic vessels and inspired by personal memories.

Also new this season is the 2021 Vintage Napa Valley Brut ($89), produced using the traditional méthode champenoise from pinot noir and chardonnay grapes. The sparkling offers crisp notes of green apple, pear and citrus, presented in a matte black bottle embossed with gold details.

Gift-ready provisions round out the line. The Fruit Spread Gift Set ($42) includes raspberry, orange marmalade, and a new strawberry variety made with simple, fruit-based recipes. The Honey Duo Gift Set ($62) contains Wildflower and Orange Blossom honeys sourced entirely from California apiaries, while Sage Honey with Honeycomb ($32) offers a raw, textured alternative tied to the herbs grown in Markle’s own garden.

Finally, two seasonal mulling kits — Spiced Cider and Hot Toddy ($16 each) — blend cinnamon, citrus peel, and ginger for home entertaining.

[From WWD]

You don’t understand, I’m THRILLED that she’s doing candles now. More candles! Everyone loves a candle and so many people give candles as gifts. I’m sure the honey-enjoyers will love the new honey offerings, and I’m sure that’s what will sell out the fastest too. Friendships will be broken over that honey, I’m sure – people are always fighting over it! The fact that Meghan is now on her fourth wine drop is amazing, and it shows that she has a real “taste” for what people want to drink. Are we only able to get the raspberry jam as part of a gift set? OMG. I can’t wait to buy some of this stuff.

Update: $64 for a little candle???? Nah. But raspberry jam is FINALLY back in stock! And some of those boxes will make nice Christmas presents.

Future Enters Spirits Industry With Roué Wine And Cocktails

by jummy84 October 17, 2025
written by jummy84

While Future is known for his melodic raps about the enticing allure of “Dirty Sprite,” the Atlanta rapper is actually a lover of wine. With each unscrewed cork, he’s noticed something amiss. His life path aligned with beverage industry expert Ryan Ayotte, and together the two formulated Roué: a new line of fine wines and Ready-to-Drink (RTD) cocktails.

“I enjoy wine, but couldn’t find a brand that truly reflected me, something current, innovative, and connected to the culture,” expressed the Grammy-winner in a press statement. “So, I created it. Roué is about bringing diversity into the wine world and showing what’s possible when creativity and culture collide. Roué is for everyone who’s ever felt unseen in spaces like this. Roué is culture, creativity, and authenticity in a bottle”.

Roué

The initial Roué launch includes a 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon and a 2024 Sauvignon Blanc, which feature grapes from Pasa Robles and Lake County, California, respectively. Roué also entered the market with two RTDs, Ruby Passion and Lemon Lust.

“If we just wanted to launch a generic wine bottle with a new label on it, it could take two months to build. But for us, we really start from scratch,” Ayotte explained to VIBE on a Zoom call ahead of the launch.

The two men embarked on a long journey from concept to product to create a wine that speaks to the preferences of today’s consumers, who want quality and style without the intimidating jargon of traditional wine culture.

“We had a whole bunch of ideas and we really landed on how to create a multifaceted, really unique bottle that kind of, when you’re bringing back to what the brand’s vision is and its background, it kind of parallels Future, but multi-dimensional,” adds Ayotte. “He’s so unique in the sense that he’s iconic in his music, but also at home on the streets of Atlanta versus the red carpet at the Met Gala. You can’t pigeonhole him into one thing.”

The wine bottle is custom-designed with this in mind. In the process, the team reviewed multiple samples, fine-tuning the bottle, the box, and overall packaging of Roué until all parties were satisfied.

“We had a ton of different ideas for what that bottle shape looks like, and Future had his hand in every part of the design process, reviewing samples, reviewing mood boards, reviewing the names,” said Ayotte.

The same intention went into the cocktails, which prioritize quality and taste to offer a premium experience, from the flavors served in glass bottles over cans to the unique flavor profiles. At 8% ABV, the Ruby Passion is described as having a red wine base, enhanced with strawberry, pomegranate, apple, raspberry, and a hint of lemon. Lemon Lust introduces a mix of lemon and orange with a white wine base, creating a bold flavor that is not a “sugar bomb.

Recommended pairings for the Cabernet Sauvignon include a filet mignon, a wagyu burger, or a charcuterie board. The championed Sauvignon Blanc is best served with seafood or creamy, buttery dishes. As for the cocktails, they make great options for a variety of meals and settings, as designed.

“I think, separately, both of us before even getting to know each other felt like there’s an opportunity to build a brand for sort of a new generation that kind of sets a new standard,” shared Ayotte. “At the end of the day, whether it’s with Future or just doing it on your own, to bring something to the market in such a competitive industry, you really got to have something that’s unique.”

Roué is available in 44 states, including Georgia, Florida, and California, and can be purchased through leading retailers like BevMo, Gopuff, Total Wine, and, of course, drinkroue.com.

Watch Role Model Bring Out Charli XCX for ‘Sally, When the Wine Runs Out’

by jummy84 October 12, 2025
written by jummy84

Role Model debuts on the late night show performing his viral hit with help from the British pop star, plus another song from his latest album

Singer-songwriter Role Model debuted as Saturday Night Live musical guest with two songs from the deluxe edition of Kansas Anymore, his second studio album, which he released in February.

After an introduction from SNL host Amy Poehler, the 28-year-old Maine native opened with “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.” In live performances of the indie pop hit, Role Model has often invited a fan, another musician, or some other special guest to play the part of Sally. Here, it was Charli XCX.

The British pop singer—SNL‘s musical guest last November—received wild screams of approval from the audience. After dancing and swirling her hair to the song’s bridge, she slid her sunglasses onto Role Model’s face, blew him a kiss, then strutted away.

Role Model’s second performance was of the more mellow “Some Protector.”

The artist, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, has said his latest album, which follows 2022’s Rx, is a big step forward.

“I think the one thing I wanted to prove when I first put it out was my growth — my songwriting and my taste in music had matured, and I had also matured as a person,” he told Rolling Stone in a revealing April interview. “It felt like a big shift in the way I would talk about things and write about them, and a big part of that was just me getting to a place on guitar where I could play well enough that I could write songs by myself on it.”

Trending Stories

Role Model, who opened for Gracie Abrams last year and then headlined his No Place Like Tour this spring, will be one of the four artists at Rolling Stone‘s Musicians on Musicians live event Oct. 23 at New York’s Beacon Theatre. He will be paired with María Zardoya of the Marias, while Jack Antonoff will join Hayley Williams with Bleachers, for conversations and collaborative performances on stage. SNL‘s James Austin Johnson will host.

Role Model begins a stretch of European shows next month.

written by jummy84

You know that moment when you type “Wine Tours Near Me” and end up scrolling through the same tiny, underwhelming spots, wondering if the universe is testing your patience? Yeah, we have all been there. But here is the thing. India’s wine scene is ready to steal the show, and it is so much more than a quick pit stop. From buzzing festivals to quiet, hidden escapes, there are vineyard destinations that make every sip feel like a story. Forget the lazy local searches. It is time to plan a proper grape escape. We are talking Sula, Grover Zampa, Fratelli, York, and Four Seasons – five vineyards that promise stunning views, epic wines, and experiences that range from laid-back to full-on luxe. Pack your weekend bag, leave the stress behind, and get ready to sip, savour, and soak it all in.

Sip, savour, and soak in sprawling vineyards, serene landscapes, and vibrant wine experiences across India’s finest vineyard destinations.(Hindustan Times)

Sula Vineyards (Nashik, Maharashtra)

Sula is the OG of Indian wine and the reason Nashik even shows up on wine maps. Imagine rolling green vineyards, tasting rooms buzzing with energy, and a vibe that makes you feel instantly festive. SulaFest is a feast for the senses with music, food, and endless wine tasting that can keep a weekend buzzing. Try the Sula Rasa for smooth red notes or the Dindori Reserve for something a little bolder. Ideal for first-timers, friend groups, and anyone who wants to mix a little tipsy fun with serious Instagram moments. The views are endless, and the energy is contagious.

Grover Zampa Vineyards (Nandi Hills, Karnataka)

Perched in Nandi Hills, Grover Zampa is a calm retreat from the city chaos. It feels like a European escape with serene landscapes and well-tended vineyards. The estate leans on French techniques, producing wines that can impress even the most picky palate. Wander their organised wine trails, sip on La Réserve reds or whites, and take in the cool breeze with those stunning hill views. This is for the wine enthusiasts who like their sips serious, their weekends quiet, and their surroundings picturesque. The experience is refined, soothing, and unforgettable.

Fratelli Vineyards (Solapur, Maharashtra)

Fratelli is intimate, authentic, and quietly spectacular. A collaboration between two Indian families and one Italian family, the estate lives up to its name, which means Brothers in Italian. Remote and charming, Fratelli offers a true wine retreat where you can explore the underground barrel cellar and enjoy single-estate wines like Sette. Staying on the property is an immersive experience, giving you time to walk through the vines, learn about the craft, and sip wines that taste like the effort behind them. Perfect for those who want a quiet, focused escape from the crowd.

York Winery (Nashik, Maharashtra)

York Winery is the boutique alternative to Sula, family-run and effortlessly charming. Sitting near Gangapur Dam near Nashik, it offers sunset views that make every sip taste better. The York Arros and Sauvignon Blanc are crowd favourites and perfect for a relaxed afternoon tasting. Think romantic dates, chilled weekends, or quiet wine appreciation with a hint of nature’s backdrop. It is small-scale, personal, and exactly the kind of vineyard where the pace slows, and the wine speaks.

Four Seasons Vineyards (Sahyadri Valley, Maharashtra)

Luxury meets wine at Four Seasons. With chateau-style architecture, sprawling vineyards, and grand landscapes, this estate is made for indulgence. Stay in the manor, explore vineyards with modern wine-making technology, and sample reserve wines that feel almost cinematic. Every detail focuses on quality and comfort. This is for those who want a weekend of elegance, learning, and, of course, exceptional wine. Four Seasons elevates the vineyard experience into a mini escape of sophistication and relaxation.

From vibrant festivals to serene escapes and grand estates, these five vineyards have a flavour and vibe for every kind of wine lover. Skip the local options and plan a proper getaway. Pack curiosity, a weekend bag, and your best wine-loving friends. India’s vineyards prove that wine is about more than drinking. It is about the view, the craft, the taste, and the joy of sipping while making memories. Cheers to your next grape escape.
