Luke Wilson Joins Will Ferrell Netflix Golf Comedy

by jummy84 September 26, 2025
written by jummy84

The Wilsons are halfway to a regular foursome.

Luke Wilson is joining Will Ferrell’s untitled Netflix golf comedy series, the streamer revealed on Friday. Wilson will play a pro golfer who has beaten Ferrell’s character for the tour championship twice.

Why does (most of) that sentence sound so familiar? Oh, right: Owen Wilson currently stars in a streaming comedy series, Apple TV+ show Stick, as a former pro golfer. Owen Wilson is Luke Wilson’s (three-years-older) big brother.

The Netflix series stars Ferrell as a fictional golf legend. Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro and Fortune Feimster have been previously announced as co-stars — not much more is known than that.

Perhaps surprisingly, the 10-episode Netflix golf comedy marks Ferrell’s first TV comedy series — you know, other than one very famous and long-running TV sketch-comedy series. The coming series marks the latest collaboration between former Saturday Night Live cast mates Shannon and Ferrell.

Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor executive produce the Netflix series for Ferrell’s Gloria Sanchez Productions. Rian Johnson (the Knives Out movies), Ram Bergman and Nena Rodrigue are executive producers for T-Street. Chris Henchy, Harper Steele, David Gordon Green and Andrew Guest also executive produce.

Ramy Youssef and Josh Rabinowitz, who were credited as co-creators and executive producers when Netflix picked up the series in May 2024, have since departed over creative differences. Andy Campagna of Youssef’s Cairo Cowboy production company also departed.

Owen Wilson’s Stick has been renewed for a second season; the news was likely received to just mild golf claps among the online golfing community. Though Stick has received a generally warm welcome from critics, including The Hollywood Reporter’s Angie Han, it is less popular among those who actually play the game. Stick season one featured some basic errors that jumped off the screen to golfers.

The Apple TV+ show also features a character, Zero (Lilli Kay), who seems to grate on viewers — that almost certainly rings truer with older viewers.

“Zero, with their fluid pronouns and haughtily declared stances against meat and capitalism, never totally stops feeling like a Gen Z caricature,” Han wrote in her review.

Luke Wilson has a lot more game than Owen, who learned how to play just for Stick.

Luke Wilson is repped by WME.

Post Malone, Lainey Wilson Pull Up For Stagecoach Fest

by jummy84 September 26, 2025
written by jummy84

Post Malone, Lainey Wilson and Cody Johnson will headline the annual Stagecoach festival on April 24-26 at Empire Polo Club in Indio, Ca., as part of a wildly diverse lineup that moves ever farther from the event’s country roots.

Although genre mainstays such as Bailey Zimmerman, Brooks & Dunn, Riley Green, Lyle Lovett, Wynonna Judd, Little Big Town and Red Clay Strays will be in attendance, Stagecoach will also play host to borderline head-scratchers such as Journey, Pitbull, rappers BigXthaPlug and Ludacris, Third Eye Blind, the Wallflowers and Counting Crows.

In addition, Diplo will return for the sixth year of his Diplo’s HonkTonk, and chef Guy Fieri will reprise his Stagecoach Smokehouse with BBQ tastings and cooking demos. Tickets go on sale Oct. 2 for the fest, which sold out in advance in 2025 and takes place at the same venue that hosts the Coachella festival the prior two April weekends. Amazon Music is back as the livestream partner.

“My first Stagecoach was in 2022 on the SiriusXM Stage at 2:30PM in the afternoon,” recalls Wilson. “Look how far we’ve come, y’all! I’m honored to headline this year. This is a career highlight and I can’t wait to see everyone there.” Adds Johnson, “I’ll never forget the first time I got the call to play Stagecoach. We were on one of the smaller stages and I remember wondering if anyone would even know our songs. Now, here we are invited back to headline the Mane Stage. What a ride. I hope y’all bring the energy, because it’s gonna get western.”

Meanwhile, the winner of the CBS competition show The Road, which premieres Oct. 19, will perform on the Mane Stage and take home a $250,000 prize.

Stagecoach Festival 2026 Lineup Announced: Post Malone, Lainey Wilson, and More

by jummy84 September 25, 2025
written by jummy84

The 2026 lineup for the Stagecoach country music festival is here. Headlining the weekend are Texas country singer Cody Johnson, Louisana’s Lainey Wilson, and F-1 Trillion artist Post Malone. The California festival will also feature legacy acts like Counting Crows, Wynonna, Lyle Lovett, Journey, Third Eye Blind, Bush, the Wallflowers, Brooks & Dunn, and Hootie & the Blowfish, along with newcomers like BigXthaPlug, Bailey Zimmerman, Warren Zeiders, Teddy Swims, and Gavin Adcock, and artists who don’t necessarily specialize in country much, such as Noah Cyrus, Diplo, Pitbull, and Ludacris. See the full lineup in the poster below.

Stagecoach is producer Goldenvoice’s country complement to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The festivals share a venue—the Empire Polo Club, in Indio, California—and typically take place the same month. Coachella, in 2026, will run during the weekends of April 10-12 and April 17-19. Stagecoach takes place from April 24-26.

The 2026 Stagecoach lineup is here. Lainey Wilson, Post Malone, and Cody Johnson will each headline a night of the three-day country music festival, set for April 24 through 26 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

Wilson last played the festival in 2023, but this will be her first time as headliner. This also marks Johnson’s debut as a Stagecoach headliner. Malone made his Stagecoach debut in 2024, performing a set of country music cover songs. Presumably, he’ll be showcasing his own material off his country album F-1 Trillion next spring in the desert.

The Stagecoach undercard is traditionally well stocked, and 2026 is no exception. Bailey Zimmerman, Riley Green, Ella Langley, Little Big Town, Red Clay Strays, Warren Zeiders, Teddy Swims, Sam Barber, Wyatt Flores, Nate Smith, Hudson Westbrook, and Brooks & Dunn are all on the bill. There are also a number of non-country acts set for ’26, including Journey, Pitbull, and Ludacris. Perennial Stagecoach personalities Diplo and Guy Fieri will also make their return.

There’s a heavy presence of Nineties bands too: Hootie and the Blowfish, Bush, Third Eye Blind, the Wallflowers, and Counting Crows are all set to perform.

Country music’s premier agitator, Gavin Adcock, is also on the lineup. Last year’s Stagecoach was headlined by his foil, Zach Bryan.

Stagecoach 2026 passes go on sale Thursday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m./PT via the festival’s website.

Exa Dark Sideræl Musk & Techno Mechanicus Musk (Kids)

In her 2022 Vanity Fair interview, Grimes revealed she and Elon privately welcomed a baby girl via surrogacy.

“Exa is a reference to the supercomputing term exaFLOPS (the ability to perform 1 quintillion floating-point operations per second),” she said. “Dark, meanwhile, is the unknown. People fear it but truly it’s the absence of photons. Dark matter is the beautiful mystery of our universe.'”

Sideræl—pronounced “sigh-deer-ee-el”—is, according to mom, “the true time of the universe, star time, deep space time, not our relative earth time,” and a nod to her favorite Lord of the Rings character, Galadriel, who “chooses to abdicate the ring.”

Walter Isaacson revealed in his biography Elon Musk that Exa was born in December 2021 via surrogate.

The book also stated that around Father’s Day 2022, the on-again, off-again couple welcomed a child named Techno Mechanicus, nicknamed Tau, also via surrogate. The biography includes a photo, dated June 2022, of Elon feeding the baby boy.

Though Grimes would prefer other salient details be kept private. “I have tried begging the public and my kids dad to keep them offline, and I’ve tried legal recourse,” she shared on social media in 2025. “The state of my children’s lives being public is of grave concern to me and I think about how to solve this every day. It’s insane to me that theres no way to deal with this.”

bitchy | A.N. Wilson: Prince William is ‘incensed by any notion of a comeback for Harry’

by jummy84 September 21, 2025
written by jummy84

In recent months, Prince William has been getting some of the worst press he’s gotten in YEARS. You’d have to go back to the pre-Sussex days to find a time when William was being battered this heavily by his domestic media. It’s well-deserved though, and long overdue. I honestly believe that the energy around William (not to mention William himself) would not have gotten this bad if he had been facing the consequences of his own terrible decisions for years. Instead of saying “actually, William is horrible for what he did to Harry and Meghan,” the press has busied itself with covering for him and excusing him. Instead of saying “actually, William’s schedule belies his laziness,” they’ve gone overboard to praise him for “prioritizing the school run.” Instead of saying “actually, he’s a diplomatic lightweight and it’s a huge problem,” they’ve embiggened him and his pitiful international efforts, giving him every gold star they can for all of his big-boy statesmanship like “shaking hands with the UN Gen-Sec at a cattle-call photo-op.” Well, the Mail’s A.N. Wilson is on the case. This column is AMAZING. Some highlights:

William’s demeanor at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral: There was no mistaking the fact that William appeared angry and unhappy at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral at Westminster Cathedral this week. He looked to have lost weight, too. He gave the impression of bearing the burden of the world on his shoulders.

The main reason for William’s apparent discomfiture: Prince Harry. William’s younger brother is evidently trying to make a comeback. A few days before Trump’s visit, Harry embarked on his four-day, pseudo-royal tour of Britain. He also had tea with their father, and it seemed as if the slow process of a reconciliation had begun. Reconciliation, that is, between the King and his wayward prodigal son – not reconciliation between Harry and William. Of the two sons, Harry was always the boy favoured by Charles – which is one of the factors that has made Harry’s breach with the Royal Family so especially painful for the King. William is incensed by any notion of a comeback for Harry. The sense of betrayal he feels cannot be overestimated. Harry abandoned him and Kate, as well as the Firm.

They’re still trying to blame Harry for Charles & Kate’s cancer: Some have suggested that the stress caused by the savagery of Harry’s treatment of his own family might have contributed to either the King’s or Catherine’s cancer. Whether true or not, imagine that thought playing on William’s mind.

William is furious that Harry is still popular: How galling it would have been for the heir to the throne to see commentators in the Press suggest Harry’s four-day trip to Britain was a roaring success, a reminder of the cheeky chappy royal we have missed, and that his attempts at reconciliation should be welcomed.

Tina Brown’s claim that Charles is pissed at his lazy heir: In the past seven months, the Waleses have had five confirmed family vacations, a fact seized on gleefully by Ms Brown, a former editor of Vanity Fair and the New Yorker, to suggest William was workshy. It would, of course, be a cruel person who did not feel that the Prince of Wales deserved considerable sympathy. His wife has cancer, and both she and William have suffered all the strains this imposes, both on their own relationship, and on that with their three young children. What is more, those who sing the National Anthem, hoping that Charles will be ‘long to reign over us’, do so in the sadly realistic knowledge that the present reign might, in fact not be as long as we would wish. William therefore faces the prospect of becoming King when he is still a relatively young man. Four decades and more of public duty stretch ahead. Why would he not prioritise family life in such circumstances and spend precious time with George, Charlotte and Louis?

William’s lack of deference: It is becoming apparent that William likes to do things his way or, as a senior member of the royal household who has observed the father-son dynamic put it: ‘As direct heir, he sometimes seems to forget, whether by accident or design, that there is a hierarchy and that he ranks one below his father.’ Another source claimed that ‘deference does not appear to be in his vocabulary when it comes to the King’.

Casual Peg: When Queen Elizabeth II died, there was an outpouring of grief which did, quite genuinely, unite the nation. But united us in the recognition that we revered her – her dutiful acceptance of the burden and responsibility of her office without question. William appears to want things to be more casual. He told one interviewer that he would never be royal with a capital R. Yet if you are Prince of Wales, royal with a capital R is what you are.

William’s atheism: Queen Elizabeth was a woman of faith. Her Christianity defined her entire attitude to life. Charles, bafflingly, has said he wants to be the Defender of Faiths. None of us can guess what this is supposed to mean – and when we watch him entertaining fire worshippers and witch doctors in the gardens of Highgrove we would probably rather not ask too deeply. But William has made it clear that he is not a believer. Nothing wrong with this if we are talking of him as a private individual. But, again – as with the military – it is part of the job specification that the monarch is Supreme Governor of the Church. The heavy concerns of history are bearing down on William. Can he adjust the monarchy as he wants to? Can he do so while retaining public affection for the institution?

The Duchy money: Above all, to my mind, does he feel queasy about the £23 million per annum, he derives from the Duchy of Cornwall? Because by hanging on to the loot, he could jeopardise the monarchy. When the public is in love with the Royal Family, it is prepared to overlook their besetting sin, which is conspicuous consumption and lavish living. Does the King really need so many houses – the Castle of Mey, Birkhall, Sandringham and Highgrove? His properties in Romania are all privately owned, in addition to the palaces and castles which go with the job. If the public is in a mood to question the royals and their behaviour – as will happen once more when yet more revelations come out about Prince Andrew and the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein – then they will rightly ask what on earth makes them think they are entitled to this vast amount of wealth. Particularly if it is in return for just 107 engagements per year performed by a man who does not seem to relish the role.

Oooof: Public sympathy for Kate and for the King – both of them visibly still far from well and deeply affected by Harry’s egregious behaviour – is palpable. But sympathy for them in person is not the same as being sympathetic to the idea of what they stand for…. The King in waiting needs to make a case for it if he is not to find himself booted out by a hostile public. Princess Diana once told me that during the English Civil War in the 1640s, her ancestor Earl Spencer had fought against the King on the side of Oliver Cromwell. This was historically untrue – in fact that Earl Spencer died fighting in the royal cause. But, she went on to say to me, she did not think there would be a monarchy after Charles had died. William will need to work hard and employ his mother’s radiant and irresistible charm if her prophecy is not to be fulfilled. Little wonder he seems so subdued.

[From The Daily Mail]

Wilson also claims that William “is already being eased into his future royal role. The King delegates more to him than many realise,” and then Wilson cites this as an example: William “now oversees the shoots at Balmoral and Sandringham – a key job among family roles.” LMAO. You guys, William’s not lazy, he goes to meetings and organizes the shoots on the private estates!! The thing is, I do not believe William even does THAT. Overall, this piece is steeped in the palace talking points, but it’s actually a huge warning. William isn’t a man of faith, William is lazy, William lacks charisma, and if he’s not careful, this whole thing will fall apart very quickly. And yeah, ALL of this is about Harry, I have no doubt. It was always about Harry.

Russell Wilson Convinced A Dying Teen To Stick With Treatment

by jummy84 September 13, 2025
written by jummy84

Celebrities oftentimes use their fame and notoriety for positive influence, but arguably nothing ranks above helping to save a life. Ciara recently opened up about a time her husband, Russell Wilson, convinced a teenager with leukemia to stick with his treatment, an act that wound up changing his story from coming to an end.

“You talk about being able to be a part of saving someone’s life essentially, right? It’s such a gift,” the “Lose Control” singer told Power 106 Los Angeles on Wednesday, Sept. 10. She shared the story of the New York Giants quarterback’s experience with Milton Wright, who had just half a day left to live at the time.

The singer said Wilson “convinced this kid” to stick with stem cell therapy, explaining, ”This kid did not want to try it. He had twelve hours left to live.”

In an effort to connect with the patient, Wilson opened up about losing his dad and how that has impacted his life. Ciara continued, “Russ went in and talked to him and convinced him, ‘Hey, kid,’ told him his story about losing his father, everything. Before you know it, the kid changed his mind, got up and was like, ‘I want to do it.’ Now fast forward to this kid is in the hospital telling other kids to try it.”

“It’s such a blessing and we’re just really big on encouraging people to have a ‘why not you’ attitude because we still have to tap into that ourselves. We know the power of that, right? Why not you? It’s real special to us, real near and dear to our hearts.”

Wilson’s father, Harrison, died in 2010 at age of 55 from diabetes complications.

The football player wrote about his side of the story in 2016 for The Player’s Tribune. He reflected on how his father had lost his ability to walk and see, but when doctors told him he had 24 hours left to live, “he kept on fighting for two more years.”

“I told Milton to keep fighting like my dad did,” Wilson wrote. Wright went into remission after his treatment.

Ciara Added ‘Wilson’ To Son Future’s Last Name Years Ago

by jummy84 September 6, 2025
written by jummy84

Ciara is one of many celebrities to take in the US Open in New York City this week, bringing along her two eldest children, Future, 11, and Sienna, 8, for the festivities.

Husband Russell Wilson was sure to show love to his wife and kids on social media Thursday (Sept 4), reposting an Instagram story from Vogue‘s account of the family taking in a tennis match.

“Mrs. @ciara Wilson, Future Wilson, and Sienna Wilson [3 heart-eye emojis],” the NFL star captioned the repost. While most took it as nothing more than a sign of affection, others began to question son Future’s last name, as Wilson is his step father while rapper Nayvadius “Future” Wilburn is his biological father.

“Russ calling him ‘Future Wilson’ was petty and nobody can tell me different,” wrote @waymoflydenu on X/Twitter. “If you’re present in a child’s life, you don’t have compete. Your actions will show the child who’s really involved and who’s not. That post was corny.”

This also led many to believe that Ciara legally changed young Future’s last name from Wilburn to Wilson.

“The only ones agreeing with this is bitter BMs,” wrote @inezalbright2, who disagrees with the idea. “My child also had a stepfather but she carried her biological father’s name. I got married to that man, not my child.”

It turns out, however, that the CiCi singer, 39, did amend her eldest son’s last name years ago, adding Wilson onto Wilburn, but not replacing his born surname, TMZ reports. This would make his full name Future Zahir Wilburn Wilson.

This allows for young Future to share the same last name as his household while retaining a connection to his biological father.

Russell, 36, spoke on stepping in to be a father to young Future on a February 2024 episode of the I AM ATHLETE podcast, saying he knew it was his duty once he feel in love with his R&B star mother.

“Stepping in to raise a child with [Ciara] and realizing that, ‘Okay God, I know she’s the one for me.’ But also too, I’m gonna take this responsibility as well.” Wilson said of raising baby Future. “I was ready for that… What a gift. That’s been the greatest gift of raising Future [Jr.], Sienna, Win and now Amora. It’s like, man, God gave me that opportunity to raise them and to love them and to care for them… And there’s no difference.”

Hear Shaboozey, Stephen Wilson Jr.’s Reflective Single ‘Took a Walk’

by jummy84 September 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Shaboozey and Stephen Wilson Jr. have teamed up for a new song, “Took a Walk.” The evocative song was written and recorded for Lionsgate’s upcoming adaptation of Stephen King‘s The Long Walk, which was directed by Francis Lawrence and hits theaters Sept. 12.

The reflective country ballad was written by Shaboozey, Wilson Jr., Stephen Musselman, Connor Sullivan, Sean Cook, and Nevin Sastry, and produced by Sullivan, Musselman, Cook, and Sastry.

“I’m so thrilled that Francis thought of us to close out his film,” Shaboozey shared in a statement. “I really felt for these characters. These guys seemingly have no future, but hold on tight to the idea of hope—a better life, a better world. It felt familiar. The movie feels timeless and soulful, so I thought Stephen’s guitar would be the perfect complement to leave fans with a song that feels timeless.”

Wilson Jr. added, “As a fellow Stephen spelled with a ‘ph’, it’s no secret I’m a fan of Stephen King. When I was approached to write a counterpart to this song with Shaboozey, knowing it was based on Mr. King’s work, I was honored and humbled to be invited into the portrayal of such a storyline. I’m such a fan of Shaboozey and his authenticity, and jumped at the opportunity to sonically dance with this visceral but hopeful film and try to highlight the beauty in the most adverse moments.”

The Long Walk is an adaptation of King’s 1979 novel, about a group of 100 young men who enter an annual walking contest in dystopian America. During the competition, the losers are executed and the lone survivor is declared the winner. It stars Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Judy Greer, and Mark Hamill.

For a long time, the book was consider unadaptable due to its brutality. Prior adaptations fell apart over the years. “I think maybe what held it back in those other adaptations is that merciless quality,” King told Vanity Fair. “Somebody putting down the money for it must’ve been, like, ‘I don’t know… this is hard. This is a painful one.’”

And Rainn is a little bit of a dick,” Wilson told fans. “Having played Dwight allows me to kind of be a dick to people… and people laugh.” The actor explained that while he doesn’t share Dwight’s beet-farming lifestyle or constant hunger for power at Dunder Mifflin, audiences expect a certain edge from him. That expectation, he said, has made it easier for him to get away with sarcastic comments or blunt remarks in public. “It’s one of the great things,” he admitted. “Playing Dwight gave me permission to lean into that side of myself. People see it as funny rather than offensive.”

Comparing Cast Experiences: Why Jenna Fischer Can’t Do the Same
Wilson contrasted his freedom with that of co-star Jenna Fischer, who played Pam Beesly. “Pam is so sweet,” Wilson said, “and Jenna actually has a pretty dark, raunchy sense of humor. But she can’t really express it because people recoil. They’re like, ‘Pam would never say that!’” The actor’s observation highlights one of the quirks of long-running TV success: fans often blur the line between character and performer. For Wilson, the association works in his favor. For Fischer, it means living with constraints her co-star doesn’t face.

Dwight Schrute: From Side Character to Fan Favorite
When The Office premiered in 2005, Dwight Schrute was introduced as Michael Scott’s awkward, overzealous assistant to the regional manager. Over time, the character evolved from an annoying sidekick to a more complex figure, still bizarre, but often endearing.
By the series’ end in 2013, Dwight had grown into a surprisingly sympathetic character, with a major promotion to regional manager and even a wedding episode that gave fans an emotional payoff. His journey mirrored the show’s broader success: quirky and offbeat at first, but deeply resonant over time.

The Office’s Enduring Cultural Footprint:
Since the series finale, The Office has only grown in popularity thanks to streaming platforms, memes, and social media. Entire online communities are dedicated to rewatching, quoting, and analyzing the show. Wilson himself often joins former co-stars Fischer and Angela Kinsey on the Office Ladies podcast, which breaks down episodes while offering behind-the-scenes anecdotes. Fan conventions, cast reunions, and even viral TikToks continue to fuel the show’s relevance for new generations who weren’t old enough to watch it live.

This staying power, Wilson argued, is partly why he still enjoys the “benefits” of being Dwight: “The show keeps finding new audiences. So Dwight never really goes away.”

What Sets Dwight Apart?
So why did Dwight Schrute, of all characters, stand out in a crowded sitcom ensemble? Scholars of television comedy point to his blend of absurdity and authenticity. He was a caricature, a beet farmer with survivalist hobbies and bizarre workplace rules, but also deeply human in his desire for recognition and belonging. Wilson’s performance balanced over-the-top physical comedy with surprisingly nuanced emotional beats. That combination, critics say, turned Dwight from comic relief into one of the most memorable TV characters of the 2000s.

From Dwight to the Future: Rainn Wilson’s Ongoing Career
Though best known for The Office, Wilson has remained active in television, film, and literature. He’s appeared in projects ranging from Star Trek: Discovery to indie dramas, while also publishing books that reflect his interest in spirituality and philosophy. At Fan Expo, however, it was clear that Dwight still defines his public image, and Wilson doesn’t mind. “It’s been over a decade,” he admitted, “but I’m still grateful. The role changed my life.”

The Office Legacy Continues with The Paper:
Fans of the franchise will soon have a new reason to celebrate. The Paper, a spinoff series, is set to premiere on Peacock on September 4, 2025. While Wilson is not confirmed as part of the project, his comments underscore how the original cast continues to shape and carry forward The Office’s enduring cultural impact.

Conclusion:
Rainn Wilson’s reflections remind us how a character can outlive the show that created them. Dwight Schrute wasn’t just a role, he became a cultural symbol, shaping the way fans see Wilson even years later. For the actor, that means an unusual privilege: he can be blunt, sarcastic, even “a little bit of a dick,” and instead of offense, people laugh. It’s a testament to both Wilson’s performance and The Office’s lasting influence. More than a decade later, the beet farmer from Scranton continues to harvest laughs, in reruns, in memes, and in the everyday encounters of the man who played him.
