“The desert hides many secrets, Madam Miranda…” Lionsgate has revealed a full official trailer for a movie called Murder at the Embassy, a whodunit murder mystery adventure comedy – this time set in Cairo, Egypt. “It will keep you on the edge of your seat and guessing who pulled the trigger until the film’s final frame!” It’s ready to open right away on VOD this November. In 1934, Miranda Green leaves England for Egypt. She will investigate a murder perpetrated in a supposedly inviolable place: the British Embassy in Cairo, where a top secret document was stolen the same night. All those present within this closed place are suspected – the American photographer, the English student, the American actress, the Egyptian security guard, the ambassador interpreter, the Egyptian gardener and – why not? – the Ambassador himself. But who would have expected that a small group of Nazis would be behind the plot, risking to jeopardize both Buckingham Palace and the peace of the world? Mischa Barton reprises her role as Miranda Green from 2023’s Invitation to a Murder. Along with Mido Hamada, Kojo Attah, Nell Barlow, Raha Rahbari, Antonia Bernath, Richard Dillane. Alas this looks direct-to-video at best, nothing to write home about.

Mischa Barton returns as the detective Miranda Green in the follow up to the highly successful mystery film Invitation to Murder. Murder at the Embassy is directed by the B-movie filmmaker Stephen Shimek, director of a bunch of movies you’ve never heard of or seen before including Dragon Hunter, The Maze, The Adventures of RoboRex, K-9 Adventures: Legend of the Lost Gold, Dudes & Dragons, Nocturne, The Adventure of A.R.I., Joey & Ella, as well as Guardians of Time, Invitation to a Murder, The Magician’s Raincoat most recently.
