“Watching Mahesh Babu As Lord Rama Gave Me Goosebumps” – SS Rajamouli

by jummy84 November 16, 2025
written by jummy84

SS Rajamouli’s fascination for Indian epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata is known. The director too on many occasions earlier expressed interest to make a film on any one of the two classics. And at the title reveal event of his upcoming film Varanasi, Rajamouli shared an interesting experience.

SS Rajamouli

Mahesh Babu as Lord Rama

Rajamouli shared that he wasn’t sure whether Mahesh Babu looks apt for the role of Lord Rama. Instead, he believes that the superstar has more traits that suit Lord Krishna. But before commencing Varanasi film shooting, he did a test shoot with Mahesh for the role of Rama. “Even when I started this film (Varanasi), I never thought that I’d touch a chapter related to Ramayana,” the director shares, adding that as he kept developing the story he felt like he was cloud nine. He said, “The first day when I was doing a photo shoot session with Mahesh Babu as Lord Rama, I had goosebumps.” The director further revealed that he had kept Mahesh’s Lord Rama photo as his mobile wallpaper. He concluded, “But later I deleted it because someone may see it”.

Mahesh Babu Rudra

“Luck to have shot a Ramayana episode”

Rajamouli further shares that working for the film Varanasi has been a liberating experience. The taskmaster recalls shooting for an intense action episode that lasts approximately around 30 minutes. The action episode was shot for 60 days and the unit completed it recently. Rajamouli said, “Shooting for the episode every day was a challenge. There are many sub episodes as part of the main episode, and every sub episode needs to be interesting, engaging and creative. Thankfully, it came nicely. And that sequence will be one of my memorable episodes not only in my career but also in Mahesh’s career.” Elaborating on Mahesh’s screen presence in that episode, the director said, “He looks handsome yet furious; generous yet enraged. Mahesh showed all the navarasas as Lord Rama. I am so lucky to have shot this episode.”

49 Thoughts I Had While Watching Episode 1 of ‘All’s Fair’

by jummy84 November 6, 2025
written by jummy84

I like Ryan Murphy at his most baroque and operatic (not for nothing did I watch all of Scream Queens!), which is what made me fairly sure that his starry new legal drama, All’s Fair, would be up by alley. So, does the series—starring Glenn Close, Teyana Taylor, Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, and Kim Kardashian—indeed fall into the “guilty-as-hell pleasure” category? Find every thought I had about it below.

  1. Okay, I was expecting some sort of fabulous ramp-up or introductory cold open here, but it’s just…Kim Kardashian and Naomi Watts queening out about workplace sexism.
  2. Like, I literally rewound to make sure I didn’t miss an establishing shot.
  3. Kim’s delivery of the line “Um, senior managing partner?” is so nuts that I think I actually love it and maybe want it as my ringtone.
  4. Hey, it’s Glenn Close! In a pussy bow!
  5. Thinking about Leslie Knope trying to say “Glenn Close” while wasted on Parks and Recreation.
  6. Okay, so Kim and Naomi are going to start a women’s boutique divorce law firm? With Glenn’s blessing?
  7. NIECY! I’ve forgiven this show for its abrupt start already.
  8. That said, I’m not sure about Niecy’s bangs situation.
  9. Every time Sarah Paulson walks confidently and bitchily onto a Ryan Murphy set, a gay angel (gayngel?) gets its wings.
  10. First instance of someone angrily smashing everything off a desk (but likely not the last!).
  11. Golda Meir quote :/
  12. I really don’t know what Sarah’s damage is, but I guess we have the whole show to learn!
  13. I want this house.
  14. My ex-boyfriend, who I still live with, walking past as I’m watching this show: “Is Kim just…reading lines?”
  15. Kim’s a football wife! Love this play on her past with Reggie Bush.
  16. If you’re going to say “Elizabeth Taylor” onscreen, I’m going to sing the entirety of “Elizabeth Taylor” by Taylor Swift, sorry.
  17. Teyana Taylor time!
  18. Okay, someone (Sarah) figured out hair straightening!
  19. God, she’s really walking away with all the good lines, isn’t she?
  20. “You fat, treacherous lawn chairs.” I’m confused, but I’m LOLing.
  21. Kind of into these cutaways where we see micro-snippets of the clients’ lives.
  22. Listen, I’m always happy to see Grace Gummer, regardless of the circumstances.
  23. Love that this office seems to be pants-optional (for Teyana, anyway).
  24. Did they rent out the shell of a former Wing office for their primary location???
  25. Finally, some good food (lesbian content).
  26. Judith Light??!?!!?
  27. Oh, the studio really wrote Murphy a blank-ass casting check, didn’t they?
  28. Love this winged-eyeliner moment for Judith.
  29. I want a whole show about Judith schtupping the much-younger chef at Le Bernardin.
  30. I’m confused by, but not entirely resistant to, Naomi’s trilby hat.
  31. OMG, shoes!
  32. Not to mention the jewels!
  33. Should I marry a mean rich guy who doles out diamonds as apologies (if one will have me)?
  34. KATE BERLANT HIVE, RISE UP!
  35. I know I’m yelling a lot of women’s names, but that’s just the material I’ve been given to work with here, okay?
  36. “Knowledge is the key in the lock.” So true, Kim.
  37. I love when girls walk in synchronized slow motion.
  38. Did this business meeting strictly have to happen in a sex dungeon?
  39. Whoever was in charge of finding the most generically evil-looking white guys possible for this boardroom scene did a great job.
  40. Kim’s flipped bob! I die!
  41. This “sow teat” scene……….I die. In a bad way, this time.
  42. Champagne time!
  43. Divorce time! (For Kim and her tank-top-clad football man.)
  44. Weak men really can’t handle strong women, can they?
  45. I love the concept of Kim (the character!) being shocked at the notion that she habitually picks loser men.
  46. All’s Fair must be getting some powerful sponsorship from the indoor-fireplace lobby.
  47. OMG, Kim’s man is hooking up with Teyana?
  48. And we got a Teyana ab reveal?
  49. Well, that was…an episode of television.

Wanda Sykes Says Her 2022 Oscars Hosting Gig Was “Overshadowed” by Will Smith’s Slap: “It’s Like I Was Watching From Home”

Wanda Sykes is reflecting on her experience hosting the 2022 Oscars — the same year Will Smith slapped Chris Rock live on stage — and says the infamous moment completely “overshadowed” what should have been a career highlight.

In a new interview w/ Variety, the comedian admitted that when people bring up that night, they rarely remember she was one of the evening’s hosts.

“It got overshadowed,” Sykes said. “People talk to me about that night without even mentioning, ‘Oh yeah, you hosted, right?’ Like I was in the audience or at home, watching TV. But I was there.”

Sykes, who co-hosted alongside Regina Hall and Amy Schumer, said that despite the chaos, Will Smith did reach out to her following his public apology to Chris Rock. However, she explained their conversation didn’t go far because she wasn’t feeling well.

“He reached out,” she shared, adding that she had “a bad cold” at the time and only replied via text.

The 2022 Oscars made global headlines when Smith walked onstage and slapped Rock after the comedian made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith. Smith later won Best Actor that same night for King Richard and has since apologized multiple times.

Sykes, known for her sharp wit and decades-long comedy career, has previously said the incident left her “traumatized” — and now, she’s making it clear that the night she should’ve been celebrated as a host still feels like it wasn’t fully hers.

America Ferrera on Daughter Lucia Watching Ugly Betty

by jummy84 October 25, 2025
written by jummy84

When Ferrera was a teenager, she had her first professional audition for a commercial.

“I was this little, brown, chubby valley girl who spoke, you know, like a valley girl,” Ferrera, who was born in Los Angeles and is the proud daughter of Honduran immigrants, said in an interview for the 72nd Emmys. “I walked in, did my audition. The casting director looked at me and she was like, ‘That’s great. Um, can you do that again but this time sound more Latina?”

Ferrera wondered if the casting director was asking her to do the audition in Spanish. “She was like, ‘No, no no. Do it in English but just, you know, like, sound more Latina,'” she recalled. “I am a Latina, and this is what I sound like.”

Ferrera was dismissed and told her family about the audition. “‘They wanted you to speak in broken English,'” she remembered them saying. “‘They wanted you to sound like a chola. What did you think was going to happen? They were going to, you know, have you starring in the next role for Julia Roberts?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, that is what I thought.'”

But Ferrera didn’t let this experience stop her. “That realization for me,” she said, “has fueled me to create more opportunity for little brown girls to fulfill their talent and their dream.”

Underrated Hrithik Roshan Movies Worth Watching

by jummy84 October 24, 2025
written by jummy84

Hrithik Roshan is celebrated for his larger-than-life roles, iconic dance moves and blockbuster hits. But beyond the glitz and glamour, he has delivered some of his finest performances in films that didn’t get the recognition they truly deserved. These underrated films highlight his versatility, emotional depth and ability to fully inhabit complex characters, proving he is more than just a star, he’s a committed actor who brings authenticity to every role.

1. Guzaarish (2010)

Hrithik plays Ethan Mascarenhas, a former magician left paralyzed after a tragic accident. The film sensitively explores themes of life, dignity, love, and the right to choose one’s fate. Hrithik delivers a heart-wrenching performance, conveying the frustration, longing, and resilience of a man trapped in his own body with subtlety and emotional depth rarely seen in mainstream cinema.

2. Lakshya (2004)

Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik stars as Karan Shergill, a directionless young man who eventually finds his purpose in the army. The film charts his transformation from an aimless dreamer to a disciplined soldier, balancing intense action with moments of vulnerability and self-discovery. Hrithik’s performance captures the emotional journey beautifully, from confusion and fear to determination and heroism.

3. Kites (2010)

Hrithik Roshan

In this romantic thriller set across Mexico and the US, Hrithik plays Jay, a man torn between love and familial obligations. The story is filled with passion, heartbreak, and high-stakes drama. Hrithik brings charm, subtle intensity, and emotional nuance to the role, making Jay’s internal conflict and romantic struggles feel authentic, even though the film’s commercial performance was overshadowed by its mixed reviews.

4. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011)

Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik portrays Arjun, a successful workaholic forced to confront his fears, insecurities and the importance of living life fully during a transformative road trip. His performance is understated yet impactful, showing humor, vulnerability, and emotional growth. Among an ensemble of strong performances, Hrithik’s portrayal stands out for its realism and relatability.

5. Jodhaa Akbar (2008)

v

Hrithik plays the legendary Emperor Akbar, balancing the responsibilities of a ruler with the complexities of love and diplomacy. The film’s grandeur often overshadows his performance, but he brings subtlety, strength and emotional resonance to the role, depicting a ruler who is both commanding and deeply human.

6. Super 30 (2019)

Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik embodies mathematician Anand Kumar, who teaches underprivileged students to crack India’s most challenging engineering entrance exams. His performance is heartfelt and inspiring, portraying the dedication, hope, and struggles of a mentor who changes the lives of many. Despite the film’s moderate box office, Hrithik’s sincerity elevates every scene.

7. Bang Bang! (2014)

Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik plays an elusive thief with a playful charm and irresistible energy. While the film is often remembered for its action sequences and high-octane stunts, Hrithik’s performance adds depth and charisma to a role that could have been superficial. His natural screen presence and lively expressions make the film more enjoyable than critics often acknowledged.

Meet the Blue Jays fan knitting a post-season sweater while watching the playoffs

by jummy84 October 24, 2025
written by jummy84

As the Toronto Blue Jays get ready for the World Series to begin Friday night, one fan has travelled from the United Kingdom to show her support for their playoff run.

“This is a big moment for the Jays and it’s a big moment for me, so I had to come home,” Karla Courtney said.

Having grown up in Toronto while spending summers in Newfoundland, the Blue Jays represent ‘home’ for Courtney.

“I think I want to be in Toronto for the energy, right? It’s really exciting; these things don’t happen that often,” she said.

Courtney shifted her sleep schedule while across the pond to make sure she never missed a Jays playoff moment.

To keep herself busy while watching nerve-wracking games in the middle of the night, she began knitting to ease the tension.

Her first project: a Blue Jays sweater for her good luck charm knitted lobster to wear — but that wasn’t enough of a challenge.

Knitting a Blue Jays sweater for a lobster was the first step, before taking on the challenge of a playoff sweater — only to be worked on during game days.

Courtney challenged herself with knitting a Blue Jays post-season sweater — which could only be worked on during game days.

“However far they go, I’ll have something to commemorate the season,” Courtney said.

She began the retro-style sweater during Game 4 of the ALDS against the New York Yankees, documenting her progress on social media.

Each section of work carries memories of different moments along the playoff run. One moment involving a mustard stain from a game.

“We did lose those two games, so that represents a hard point,” she said while pointing to the Blue Jays logo she’d crafted.

For Courtney, knitting keeps her present and grounds her emotions during stressful innings.

“I’m only allowed to knit during game days; I haven’t broken that rule,” she explained. “I knit on the flight on the way, but that was a game day, so that’s fine. I’m kind of following the progress of the team. So, hopefully the longer they go, the longer I go.”

Dedicated to her craft, she kept up the project while in the Rogers Centre for games 6 and 7 of the ALCS.

She remembers the game-changing moment when George Springer got the home run that gave the Blue Jays the lead in Game 7.

“I had the sweater in my hands and I thought, ‘Now I’m going to get mascara on it,’” she remembered. “I was crying, it was so exciting and everyone was cheering and it was really, really incredible.”

Courtney plans to stick around Toronto as long as it takes to see the Blue Jays take the World Series.

“I am not going anywhere, of course not, no,” she said. “I’ll just keep changing my ticket, I don’t care.”

Here’s Why You Need Not Watch De De Pyaar De Before The Upcoming Sequel!

Is Watching De De Pyaar De (2019) Necessary Before The Upcoming Sequel Starring Ajay Devgn & Rakul Preet Singh?

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Do You Need To Watch De De Pyaar De Before The Upcoming Sequel? ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh are ready to come back with De De Pyaar De 2, which is the sequel to their 2019 romantic comedy. This time, R. Madhavan has also joined the cast, adding to the interest with a new turn of events. With the release approaching, many people are also wondering whether they need to see the first movie, De De Pyaar De (2019), to understand what is happening in the new one.

Do You Need To Watch The First Part Before De De Pyaar De 2?

The upcoming sequel will introduce a new story and set of circumstances, so watching De De Pyaar De is not necessary prior to this film. The producers are focusing on a new setup, so even those who have never seen the original movie will be able to enjoy the sequel. However, if you have seen the first film, you will likely pick up some exciting references and gain a better sense of the tone.

A Brief Recap Of De De Pyaar De

A quick recap for those who haven’t watched the first part: 52-year-old Ashish Mehra falls in love with 26-year-old Ayesha Khurana. They both met Ashish’s parents for their approval of the marriage. To find out whether they receive approval from Ashish’s family, viewers can stream the first installment on JioCinema.

What Is De De Pyaar De 2 About?

De De Pyaar De 2 is being helmed by Anshul Sharma and co-written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain. Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, and Rakul Preet Singh play the lead roles. T-Series Films and Luv Films are the production companies behind the film, which is being filmed in Punjab and London. The release date has been set for November 14, 2025.

The narrative of the film would revolve around love, family disputes, and relationships again, but the presentation would be entirely different. The trailer suggested that Ajay Devgn’s character would be trying to impress his girlfriend’s family, which would seem hilarious and awkward, especially because her father is nearly the same age as Ajay Devgn.

Thus, if you are thinking of watching De De Pyaar De 2, then you don’t necessarily need to go back to the first part. The sequel is quite independent and introduces a new story, accompanied by fresh tensions.

Check out the trailer of De De Pyaar De 2 trailer below:

TVR measures the percentage of a target audience watching a program at a given time, indicating its popularity and advertising value.

Bigg Boss remains one of India’s most-watched television shows, topping TVR charts across major regional languages. The show is hosted by multiple superstars in multiple languages, that air on different channels.

Vijay Sethupathi, Salman Khan and Nagarjuna host different versions of Bigg Boss.

What are ratings for different versions?

Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 leads with a 12.1 rating. It is hosted by superstar Mohanlal.

Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 follows with 7.4 on weekdays and 10.9 on weekends. It is hosted by Kiccha Sudeep.

What is TVR?

A TVR stands for Television Rating or Television Viewership Rating. It measures the percentage of a target audience that watched a particular program or channel at a given time.

In simple terms, it shows how many people (out of the total potential viewers) were tuned in to a specific show.

For example, a TVR of 5 means 5% of the total TV-owning audience watched that program.

TVR is one of the key metrics used in the TV industry to gauge a show’s popularity and advertising value. It’s now often replaced or supplemented by TVT (Television Viewership in Thousands) or AMA (Average Minute Audience) in India’s updated rating systems from BARC.

On Weekend Ka Vaar this Saturday, Salman will pull up contestants who exhibited bad behaviour on the show. These include Amaal Malik, Shehbaaz Badeshah and Malti Chahar.

I don’t enjoy watching my performances

Madelaine Petsch hates watching herself on screen.

Madelaine Petsch doesn’t enjoy watching herself

The 31-year-old actress stars in and executive produced The Strangers: Chapter 2, the new horror film, but Madelaine admits that she struggles to watch herself on the big screen.

She told People: “I don’t enjoy watching my performances.

“I edited these films, so I watched them in that capacity. But when I was editing, I was able to remove myself from it because there’s a lot of stopping and starting.”

Madelaine actually confessed to feeling self-conscious while watching The Strangers: Chapter 2 at the film’s Los Angeles premiere.

She said: “I think the premiere in Los Angeles was the first time I had seen it on the big screen in a year, and it was a little bit like, ‘Oh my God, these people are watching me.’ I’ve never sat in a real theatre that’s not a premiere, where there was an actual audience watching my film. I think that would make me feel crazy.”

Meanwhile, Madelaine recently revealed that she’s still able to “lean on” Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes for help and support.

The actress starred alongside Lili, 29, and Camila, 31, in Riverdale, the hit TV series, between 2017 and 2023, and Madelaine is thrilled to have retained a close friendship with her former co-stars.

She told The Hollywood Reporter: “Those two girls are still my absolute best friends in the whole world.

“It can go one of two ways when you shoot a show like that, and it went the right way with us. We all came up together in a really intense environment, having shot up to a world that we’d never been in before: fame and a successful TV show. We had each other to constantly lean on in any scenario.”

Madelaine thinks she’s fortunate to have worked with such supportive people.

She said: “We still call each other to be like, ‘I am doing this movie. Have you heard of this director?’ And someone will say, ‘Oh, I met with him.’ And someone will ask, ‘What was your experience like?’ We’re a unit.

“No matter what we do or where we are, we always support each other. It’s rare in Hollywood to find people who don’t feel competitive with you and support you so unabashedly, so I’m really lucky to have found my people.”
