Watch Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson Sing National Anthem at NFL Game

by jummy84 September 15, 2025
written by jummy84

The British musician performed ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ home game against the Seattle Seahawks

Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson offered his take on the American national anthem at Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium on Sunday.

The English musician was asked to perform the song at the Pittsburgh Steelers’ first home game of the season against the Seattle Seahawks, noting on Instagram that it was “a huge honour” to be invited. Dickinson left the field to chants of “U.S.A! U.S.A!”

“I’ll let you in to a secret,” Dickinson said in a recent interview on podcast The Charismatic Voice. “I’ve got to sing the national anthem in Pittsburgh for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They’ve asked me to do this. I’m going to do it a cappella and stuff, and as long as you start at the right place, you’re good to go.”

Fans were entertained by the NFL‘s decision to enlist a musician from the U.K. to perform America’s anthem at a very American sport. “The most random thing I saw today was a British man singing the American national anthem,” one commenter wrote on Instagram. Another added, “Why is a Brit singing the American national anthem? Especially at this current time?”

Trending Stories

Dickinson is currently on the North American leg of his Mandrake Project solo tour. It continues on Tuesday in Toronto before heading to Montreal later this week. The tour wraps in Los Angeles on Oct. 5 with a show at the Wiltern.

Iron Maiden is celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2025, with a new documentary about the metal greats is slated to be released later this year. Directed by Malcolm Venville, the as-yet-untitled film will dig into Iron Maiden’s remarkable 50-year history and legacy, telling the story from the perspective of both band and fans (including famous ones like Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich, and Gene Simmons). The film will also feature interviews with key members from throughout the band’s run, including the last interview with original vocalist Paul Di’Anno, who died last year.

Bigg Boss 19: Akshay Kumar Turns Judge, Farah Khan Drops Double Eviction Bomb; Sparks Rift Between Baseer Ali, Nehal Chudasama- Watch

by jummy84 September 15, 2025
written by jummy84

Weekend Ka Vaar turned into a star-studded evening as Akshay Kumar, Saurabh Shukla, and Farah Khan stepped in as hosts. From fiery confrontations to emotional goodbyes, the episode had it all — including a shocking double eviction that saw Nagma Mirajkar and Natalia Janiszek leave the house.

Akshay Kumar Turns BB House Into A Courtroom

Bringing in his Jolly LLB charm, Akshay Kumar transformed the Bigg Boss 19 house into a courtroom. Playing judge, he invited housemates to present their arguments. The first round saw Ashnoor and Farrhana face off, with the house ultimately siding with Ashnoor. In another heated session, Kunickaa clashed with Tanya, labeling her a “victim card player,” but Tanya walked away with the win.

Saurabh Shukla Brings Wit and Drama

Joining Akshay, Saurabh Shukla lightened the mood with his trademark humor but also stirred confrontation. In a fiery activity, the Jolly LLB 3 duo asked housemates to vote for the contestant who blows up the smallest issues. With surprising unanimity, almost everyone took Nehal Chudasama’s name.

Farah Khan Announces Double Eviction

The night’s biggest shock came when Farah Khan declared a double elimination. Contestants Nagma Mirajkar and Natalia Janiszek were asked to leave the house, leaving everyone emotional. Awez Darbar broke down during Nagma’s exit, saying, “She is very strong and everything I have been taught about social media is because of her.” Hugging her tightly, he added, “This is not fair, you should have been given a fair chance to play the game.” As she bid him goodbye, Nagma reassured Awez by saying that once she is out of the show, she will begin preparing for their wedding.

As Nagma and Natalia bid their goodbyes, the house was left shaken. Awez later told fellow housemates, “This show was not for her,” underlining the emotional impact of the night’s eliminations.

Akshay Kumar Calls Kunickaa ‘Biggest Khiladi’ On Bigg Boss 19

Weekend Ka Vaar on Bigg Boss 19 turned entertaining when Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, promoting his upcoming film, couldn’t resist teasing his Khiladi co-star Kunickaa.

With his trademark wit, Akshay declared, “Kunickaa sabse badi khiladi hai aur yeh aap sabke saath khel rahi hai.” He went on to jokingly add, “Maa mat baniye,” leaving the housemates in splits.

The lighthearted banter not only brought a wave of laughter to the house but also reminded everyone of Kunickaa’s sharp gameplay and Akshay’s effortless comic timing.

Weekend Ka Vaar Sparks Rift Between Baseer And Nehal

This Weekend Ka Vaar saw emotions run high as Farah Khan hosted a revealing task, asking housemates to name who they wouldn’t want to remain friends with after leaving the Bigg Boss house. To everyone’s surprise, Baseer Ali named Nehal, even though he had saved her from nominations earlier in the week.

Nehal, not shocked by his choice, connected it to her ongoing conflict with Amaal, which first flared up during a recent task where a physical altercation between them left her shaken. Baseer explained that while he respects her, their bond feels “delicate.” Addressing the matter with Farah, Nehal admitted the incident had triggered a particular past trauma, leading to her vulnerable reaction. She later tried clarifying to Amaal that she didn’t mean to blame him, but he pushed back, saying that since her words were said in front of over 100 cameras, it created a damaging narrative.

Farah Khan firmly countered Nehal, saying that in a house under constant scrutiny, one cannot deflect responsibility. The moment not only highlighted the cracks in Baseer and Nehal’s friendship but also reignited tensions surrounding Nehal’s fragile equation with Amaal.

Watch Foo Fighters play surprise first gig with their new drummer

by jummy84 September 14, 2025
written by jummy84

Foo Fighters played their first gig with their new drummer, after a year away. See the footage below.

  • READ MORE: Foo Fighters live in Manchester: invincible and still untouchable

The band returned for their first show since 2024 last night (September 14), with a small gig at the 900-capacity Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo, California.

They announced the gig only one day before they took to the stage, telling fans on social media that tickets were only available in-person at the venue’s box office from 8am the day of the show.

It marked their first gig since drummer Josh Freese announced that he had departed the Foos after they “decided to go in a different direction with their drummer”. Freese stepped in as a touring drummer back in 2023, following the death of Taylor Hawkins.

The group then reportedly enlisted Ilan Rubin – essentially swapping with Nine Inch Nails for their ex-touring drummer Freese.

Now, Dave Grohl has officially confirmed Rubin’s place in the band, telling the crowd: “Everybody else has said it, I finally get the opportunity to say, ladies and gentlemen, will you please welcome, the most badass motherfucker, Ilan Rubin, is playing drums in the Foo Fighters. It’s official.”

After the show, the Foos also updated their Facebook profile picture with an image of them with Rubin. Check out footage from the gig, and the full setlist, below.

Foo Fighters’ setlist was:

‘All My Life’
‘Rope’
‘Have It All’
‘Times Like These’
‘Wattershed’
‘Stacked Actors’
‘La Dee Da’
‘These Days’
‘The Pretender’
‘Walk’
‘My Hero’
‘Learn to Fly’
‘Rescued’
‘Aurora’
‘This Is a Cal’
‘No Son of Mine’
‘Shame Shame’
‘White Limo’
‘Winnebago’
(Late! cover)
‘Best of You’
‘Alone + Easy Target’

‘Low’
‘Monkey Wrench’
‘Exhausted’
‘Everlong’

It comes after the band seemingly began the rollout of their next era earlier this month, by posting a shot of the six-piece band’s legs and feet standing together in a circle.

“Foo Fighters Assemble!!!” they captioned the snap. They then hinted at an imminent announcement, writing: “Make sure you’re subscribed to the newsletter for info you won’t want to miss… just sayin’…” Sign up here.

The band’s 11th and latest album, ‘But Here We Are’, was released in 2023. It marked their first material since the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins the previous year, and saw them enlist Josh Freese as a touring sticksman.

This July, Dave Grohl and co. marked their 30th anniversary by sharing a new single called ‘Today’s Song’.

Their gig last night marks their first this year, ahead of more shows scheduled in Indonesia, Japan, Singapore and Mexico next month and into November – suggesting new material could emerge soon.

They reportedly cancelled some European dates for 2025 last December, following the news that Grohl had “recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of [his] marriage”.

Freese recently addressed his sacking from Foo Fighters, explaining: “Looking back, it was probably more an issue with their management.” However, the drummer said the Foos’ material “wasn’t music that I really resonated with”.

Upon sharing ‘Today’s Song’, Grohl thanked every former member of the band for their contributions throughout the years. He praised “the thunderous wizardry of Josh Freese”, and said Hawkins was “still in everything we do, everywhere we go, forever”.

Selena Gomez Wants Her Kids to Watch This Movie

Selena Gomez Wants Her Kids to Watch This Movie

by jummy84 September 14, 2025
written by jummy84

As her wedding date with Benny Blanco nears, Selena Gomez mentioned her future children in an appearance on Amy Poehler’s podcast.

Chatting on this week’s episode of Good Hang With Amy Poehler, Gomez named the movie she plans to make her kids watch someday.

Gomez congratulated the comedian on her work portraying Joy in Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out and Inside Out 2, sharing that the animated movie franchise’s sequel — which introduces Anxiety (the character and emotion) into 13-year-old protagonist Riley’s life — had her in tears. In fact, the singer/actress/businesswoman thinks Inside Out 2 should be required viewing for all kids — including her own.

“I watched it with my sister and I completely sobbed because it’s so factual … I almost feel like it should have been a requirement in school to watch that as a homework assignment,” Gomez said on the podcast’s Sept. 9 episode. She added that Gracie, her 12-year-old sister, also cried. (Watch the full episode below.)

“There’s that kind of heartbreak that happens when Anxiety moves in,” Poehler agreed. “No matter the age, you’re either feeling it in real time as a young person, [or] you’re remembering that feeling as a person in your 30s or 40s or 50s and above when your paint set got some darker colors in it. It’s part of growing up, but it’s brutal.”

“It is. I’m gonna make my children watch it,” said Gomez, who’s not a parent now, but is getting ready for her upcoming nuptials to Blanco, clarified that thought: “Not yet.”

“I know, I know they don’t exist yet, but I can’t wait,” Poehler replied amid squeals of wanting to see Selena with a baby.

“They don’t,” said Gomez.

Her future children popped up again in conversation. The I Said I Love You First singer, who also stars in Only Murders in the Building and runs cosmetics company Rare Beauty, says she has a hard time telling people “no,” but that might change “when I have kids.”

“I feel like I owe a lot of people in the world any sort of smile, hug, picture, so it’s very hard,” Gomez explained. “When I don’t do it, I promise you it’s because I’m either really having a hard time dealing with my anxiety, or I’m late, which I try not to be. But in general, it’s a lot — ‘cause I love doing it. I think about it too much. I’ll think about if I missed that one person. It can get crazy in my head.”

“I feel protective of you,” Poehler told her. “As a women that is older … I think that any woman in her 30s is doing that thing where they’re trying to figure out, basically, what is expensive for me with energy? You start protecting it.”

Gomez responded, “I think that’ll happen moreso if I, when I, have kids. I’ll probably put more boundaries up for the sake of the sanity of, you know, what that will look like.”

Before the interview, Poehler talked to Only Murders co-star Martin Short about Gomez, who raved about working with her and described what it’s like when the horde of paparazzi turns up while the pop star’s filming scenes on the streets of New York City.

“When Selena joins us, there’s about 120 paparazzi and they’re there all day,” Short told Poehler. “I’m sure they’re just waiting for her to fall or stumble or [be] mean — therefore they could make more money from it. That’s been her life. She does have security on the streets — we all do — but she’s so lovely with them and they’ve been in her life so long. The only time I ever saw her get a little stern is when they were a little abrupt to like this 14-year-old fan of hers, and she goes, ‘Never do that.’ You can’t fault her.”

Meanwhile Gomez recounted one particular on-set incident caught on camera while filming season two: “Someone said a vile word to someone else, and it was a photographer … I just looked at him and I gave him the finger. There’s just one shot of me [giving the finger]. And he missed it. He’s not even the one who got it. The other people started laughing, and I was like, I don’t even care. I’m just so … I can’t tolerate this kind of stuff. But then they want that kind of reaction, so I’m like, damnit.”

Poehler shrugged it off: “One finger in 33 years?”

“There’s probably been a couple more,” Gomez admitted.

“We can probably find them,” Poehler quipped.

Jeff Tweedy Shares Video for New Song “Lou Reed Was My Babysitter”: Watch

by jummy84 September 13, 2025
written by jummy84

Jeff Tweedy is sharing one last single before he releases his new album, Twilight Override, on September 26. “Lou Reed Was My Babysitter” comes with a music video by director Austin Vesely that captures Tweedy and his bandmates playing a basement show. Watch it below.

“Lou Reed Was My Babysitter” is about “the joy in this dark music that Lou Reed made, and the beautiful conflict that it creates when you try and analyze it,” Tweedy said in a statement. “And how it was such a positive force for so many people. ‘My life was saved by rock’n’roll’—Lou Reed is saying the same thing. I was babysat by fucking Lou Reed, literally, in my bedroom as a 10-year-old, 12-year-old kid. His music was a more legitimate mentor to me than most of my teachers.”

Tweedy announced Twilight Override in July. The Wilco frontman has shared numerous tracks from the album, including “Enough,” “One Tiny Flower,” “Out in the Dark,” “Stray Cats in Spain,” and “Feel Free.”

How to Watch and Stream the 2025 Emmys

by jummy84 September 13, 2025
written by jummy84

Emmy weekend is officially upon us, as TV‘s brightest stars will descend upon the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night to honor the best achievements in television over the past year. This year’s Emmy race sees returning favorites like “Severance,” “Hacks,” and “The Bear” facing off against acclaimed newcomers such as “The Studio” and “The Pitt.” It’s destined to be a night of must-see TV, so make sure you have your viewing plan lined up in advance to ensure you don’t miss a moment of the action.

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards will air live on CBS on Sunday, September 14 at 8:00 pm E.T./5:00 pm P.T. Paramount+ subscribers will also be able to stream the event, though your level of access will depend on your subscription tier. Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers will be able to stream the ceremony live, while solo Paramount+ subscribers will have to wait until the following day to watch the show on demand.

Luca Marinelli in 'Mussolini: Son of the Century,' shown standing in the doorway, a dark shadow over his face

Nate Bargatze will host this year’s Emmys, marking the comedian’s first time emceeing a major award show. Confirmed presenters at the show include Elizabeth Banks, Ike Barinholtz, Angela Bassett, Jason Bateman, Kathy Bates, Kristen Bell, Alexis Bledel, Sterling K. Brown, Stephen Colbert, Jennifer Coolidge, Alan Cumming, Eric Dane, Colman Domingo, Tina Fey, Walton Goggins, Tony Goldwyn, Lauren Graham, Kathryn Hahn, and Mariska Hargitay.

Emmy Award-winning producers Jesse Collins and Dionne Harmon, and Emmy-nominated Jeannae Rouzan-Clay of Jesse Collins Entertainment will once again serve as executive producers of the show. The trio have overseen the Emmys since 2023, with ratings for the live broadcast steadily increasing under their watch. The 76th Emmy Awards saw 6.87 million viewers tune in, which marked a 54 percent improvement over the previous ceremony. That increase should be taken with a grain of salt, as the 75th Emmys took place in January in the midst of the NFL playoffs due to strike-related delays — but the 76th Emmys also drew more viewers than the 74th Emmys in September 2022. It appears the show continues to be in good hands, and both the TV Academy and CBS are no doubt hoping that the ratings momentum continues this weekend.

Jane Remover Shares “Dreamflasher” Video and New Song Featuring Lucy Bedroque: Watch

Next week, Jane Remover joins Turnstile on the North American leg of their Never Enough Tour. Before that kicks off, Jane Remover has shared the music video for the Revengeseekerz cut “Dreamflasher” and also dropped a new song with DeadAir labelmate Lucy Bedroque. Watch the video (directed by frequent collaborator Brendon Burton) and hear the new track, “Audiostalker,” below.

“Audiostalker” may sound familiar to endeavoring Jane Remover fans, as a previous version of it was featured on the artist’s very briefly released Indie Rock mixtape. The project was online for only a matter of hours before the artist deleted it.

Jane Remover’s time on the road with Turnstile stretches into October. The next month, Jane Remover will play shows in Europe and the United Kingdom, and they later have a December show in New Zealand, a New Year’s Eve concert in Australia, and two more Australian dates in January.
